After spending all week emphasizing defense the Bills defensive players were in a confused dazed.  There were several instances where they were put in position to make plays yet they did not make them.  Rookie CB Tre'Davious White for instance had a chance to catch a possible pick 6 and run it back 99 yards but he just starred at Michael Thomas who sat down directly behind him and allowed the pass to be completed for a TD.

The Arizona Cardinals come into week 9 with a pedestrian record of 4-4. After an embarrassing loss the Cowboys in week 3 the Cards went on to lose 4 in a row including losses to the 49ers, Eagles & Bucs. Bills 2nd round rookie WR Zay Jones leads the team in receptions.  However, he had not seen the endzone and he hasn't made as many big plays down the field as his counterpart Jordan Matthews in the first eight weeks of the SFL season.  He broke through this past week against the Jets for two touchdowns.  He hopes to continue to be an asset to his team each week.  The rookie has been working on his route running since preseason and has committed himself to run better...

After a rough start, the Bills defense is starting to settle in.  There are still some communication breakdowns at times but for the most part, they are starting to play solid football.  There are just too many distractions early on in the season for them to focus, but it looks like the coordinator is starting to study a bit more.
