Defense Absent

After spending all week emphasizing defense the Bills defensive players were in a confused dazed. There were several instances where they were put in position to make plays yet they did not make them. Rookie CB Tre'Davious White for instance had a chance to catch a possible pick 6 and run it back 99 yards but he just starred at Michael Thomas who sat down directly behind him and allowed the pass to be completed for a TD.
After walking over several assignments during the week the defenders left the middle of the field open several times. The coaches said it should not have been open but it was. The Bills defenders were a bit dejected in their lackadaisical showing to the home fans. They did try to turn things on late in the game but it wasn't enough.
Offensively changes are being made so that hopefully the offense will not have to continue to make up for previous mistakes especially when there is no certainty of which defense will show up.
