Week 3 for the Football Team saw them traveling to windy Buffalo New York to take on the 1-1 Bills. They were looking to improve upon the first two weeks that both resulted in wins, and did they ever show imprivement. The offense was near flawless against a tough Buffalo defense by racking up almost 500 yards of offense in which the pass and run game were almost equal. Antonio Gibson ran the rock over 30 times for over 200 yards himself. The defense once again showed their might and held the Bills offense to 13 points, and forced 4 Josh Allen turnovers.
The 3-0 Football Team will travel to Atlanta for a date with Steps and the 1-2 Falcons in Week 4.
This week the Thursday Night game was a showdown between two divisonal rivals in the Washington Football Team and New York Giants. The first half was an embarrasing display of offense by the Football Team falling, behind 16-3. The run game was non-existant, and the passing attack was a no show either behind very poor blocking. The second half of this Thursday Night game was a different story. With 13 seconds remaining Drew Lock threw a 29 yard touchdown pass to Curtis Samuel that resulted in Washington being victorious 34-30.
As stated aboved the Washington offense was a tale of two halves. The run game was consitant all game, but the passing game was the difference in the second half. Antonio Gibson finished the game with 14 carries for 36 yards after having over 200 last week against the Chargers. Quarterback Drew Lock and Wide Receiver Curtis Samuel both stepped up against the Giants. Lock finished 22/36 with 343 yards, 3 TDs, and 3 INT's. Curtis Samuel hauled in 7 catches for 159 yards and his lone game winning touchdown. As expected the Washington defense was stout, and did everything the could to help secure the win.
Your SFL Washington Football team looks to improve on their performance, and record in Week 3 in their first road game at the 1-1 Buffalo Bills.
Week 1 of the Madden 22 cycle brought some excitemnt to the nations capital. The Washington Football Team had a date with the Los Angeles Chargers, and wanted to show what they were capable of. After hearing rumors of Chargers coach LaDanian Tomlinson saying that LA was going to "destroy" the WFT the team was out to prove something. Washington sure did make him eat his words after a 41-14 blowout win, and a very impressive defensive showing.
The Football Team's defense held Los Angeles' second year Quarterback Justin Herbert to just a 50% completion rate and 5 interceptions including two pick sixes. They also bullied the Chargers offensive line tallying 5 quarterback tackles on the day. On the other side of the ball Antonio Gibson had over 200 yards rushing on 27 carries, and refused to be stopped. Newly acquired Quarterback Drew Lock looked as good as he could for only neing apart of the team for just a few weeks. He went 9/18 with 134 yards, 3 TDs, and 2 interceptions.
Your SFL Washington Football Team will play division opponent Maleek, and the New York Giants in Week 2. They look forward to the challenge as well as improving upon their Week 1 performance. Coach Cap'n Kirk Cousins was quoted as saying "It's shaping up to be a fun game, and we are excited to be 1-0 with a chance of being 2-0 this week". Tune in on Sunday Night to watch this division matchup take place.
The SFL Carolina Panthers made some offseason changes under General Manager Jason Miller, and Head Coach Neal Brown. They decided it was best to get rid of some veteran players in favor of younger talent along with some coaching changes.. As far as the coaches changes go they decided to fire Offesnive Coordinator / QBs Coach Matt Leinart. They proceded to hire former West Virginia great Pat White to both positions. Coach Neal Brown is clearly looking for an offensive change due to last years passing attack which was very poor.
Their first move invloving players was the decision to not bring long term Panther Kawann Short back. In return the team inked Da'Shawn Hand to a 4 year deal afer the Detroit Lions decided to let him walk. The main thing they did was cut veteran Quarterback Teddy "Two Gloves" Bridgewater with one year remainin gon his deal. The team decided it was time to let him go and saved 16 million dollars by releasing him. Moving forward to the NFL Draft GM Jason Miller knew the task ahead of him. As the Panthers second round selection was getting closer they knew they were going to get their man. with the 60th pick in the 2022 NFL draft the Carolina Panthers selected Quarterback Mac Jones out of Alabama.
What should we expect from the Madden 21 Season 3 Panthers? Coach Brown was quoted as saying "I guess we will just have to wait and see, won' we?" We waited and we saw as the Panthers defeated the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1. It took the offense some time to gel and get on the same page, but once they did it looked better than anything we had seen last season as a whole unit. Rookiw Mac Jones impressed in his debut and went 17-24 with 207 yards and 3 tocuhdowns with zero turnovers. Teammates and coaches all said they were proud of how Jones handled the spotlight in his first game. The Carolina Panthers look to take on division rival New Orleans in week 2.
The 2020 season for the Carolina Panthers was suppose to be the start of a rebuild. With a new owner for this cycle, new faces on the team, and youth. This team wasn't expected to compete in the division this season. The panthers did just the opposite. Projected to finish last in the NFC South, but came out on top to win the division at 10-6 with a 6-0 divisional record.
The offense under first year head coach Neal Brown was lead by a fierce rushing attack. Christian McCaffery set the tone in most games this season. When he did not have such a great game the passing game made up for it with Teddy B behind center. With help from targets DJ Moore, Robby Anderson, Curtis Samuel, and Ian Thomas the game was made easier for Bridgewater. The Panthers O looks to add to a nice season against the Seattle defense in the playoffs.
On the other side of the football the Carolina defense was better in some places than others. They gave up plenty of yards, but forcing turnovers kept them in games all season long. Brian Burns led the defense in sacks which was key to the Panthers success. Eli Apple led in interceptors this season. Also Shaq Thompson led them in tackles. The unexpected trio, all on different levels of the defense were a surprise to some this season. We will se what they can do against Russ and Seattle this week.
The Carolina Panthers will be hosting the Seattle Seahawks in the wild card at 5:30-6 PM EST tonight so tune in. #KeepPounding
Week 2 had the Jets host the Browns on Monday Night Football. Earlier in the week Coach Brown said "We can't make mistakes against this team if we do, then it'll be a long night." Well Sam Darnold and company heard what Neal Brown had to say as the offense had 0 turnovers. Darnold was 14-28 passing with 219 yards and 1 touchdown. One of Darnold's targets Jamison Crowder led the team again with 4 catches for 108 yards and 1 touchdown. The running game struggled once again as Leveon Bell had 22 carries for 73 yards. Coach Brown told the media after the game that he was "pleased" with Darnolds performance, but the O-line needs to get better in the run game.
On the defensive side the Jets held Baker Mayfield to 11-19 passing with only 124 yards, but 2 touchdowns. The solid duo of Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr had a combined 6 catches for 59 yards and 0 tocuhdowns. The defense had a tougher time in the run game against Nick Chubb this week as he went for 15 carries and 95 yards on the night. "I was proud of the way our defense played tonight, they stepped up all night. Great group effort on that side of the ball" Coach Brown told the media monday night. Jordan Jenkins caused the lone turnover of the night as he forced a fumble on a Baker Mayfield scramble.
The 2 points that decided the Jets victory came on a safety in which the Browns return man seemed to have stepped out at the 1 yard line, but the refs ruled he went into the endzone and went out of bounds at the 1. Neal Brown said "It was an odd play, but it was the deciding factor in the game." The 2-0 Jets will head to Foxborough next week to face the 1-1 New England Patriots.
Week 1 was a struggle for the New York Jets offense as new head coach Neal Brown took over in the offseason. Coach Brown said in the post game interview "It wasn't pretty but it sure did get the job done." The Jets only had a total of 201 yards passing, and 85 yards rushing, 286 yards all together. Leveon Bell and the running game had a very weak start with 5 rushes for -1 yard, but after that had 18 carries for 78 yards totalling 23 carries for 77 yards and 1 touuchdown. Second year Quarterback Sam Darnold struggled with 201 yards passing,1 touchdown, and 2 interceptions. Coach Brown said after the game "I thought Sam managed the game well, but he will have to reduce the mistakes going forward and learn from these ones."
On the other side of the ball the defense found success especially in defending the run. They held the Bills offense to 12 carries for 46 yards on the day. Josh Allen had 1 carry for 8 yards, Cole Beasley had 1 carry for 13 yards, and Frank Gore had 10 carries for 25 yards on the day. Newly aquired Middle Linebacker CJ Mosley had 5 tackles and an interception, while the fourth year Left End Leoanrd WIlliams had 4 tackles and both New York QB tackles on the day. Buffalo's second year Quarterback Josh Allen threw for 244 yards, 1 touchdown, and 2 interceptions. The second interception going to the second year Jet Trumaine Johnson.
The New York Jets are set to face the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football in Week 2. Coach Brown was asked about his upcoming opponent and said "They're a deadly team the offense is explosive, and we need to make sure that on the other side of the football that Myles Garrett stays away from Sam." The Jets took notice of Garrett's 7 QB tackle game in Week 1, and will try to make sure he doen's recreate that against them.
After missing all but 3 games of the 2019 season with an undisclosed medical reason Coach Miller is back on the sideline. He is eager to get back out there and coach the game he loves again. He was asked about last season and he said “I watched these guys every week and we didn’t finish the way we wanted to but they went out and competed so I was proud of them”. This new season will be a rebuilding year for the offense of Minnesota as they still have the worst line in the league and have now cut Kirk Cousins and signed RG3.
The offensive outlook is well just pitiful to be honest. They have really really good skill players but how will they make plays or even get the ball? The offensive line couldn’t block a flea and the QB situation is near embarrassing. It will be a miracle if this team averages 14 PPG this upcoming season, but with money to spend this offseason because of a Cousins departure there’s something to smile about.
Now on the other side of the ball the defense still looks pretty solid for the most part. They’re aging so that will end soon but they have one more good year together in the eyes of Coach Miller. They had some players move position such as Xavier Rhodes to free safety but in the long run that will help this team succeed on the defensive side of the ball.
Our experts here at WVSPN predicted the Vikings record and here’s what they said.
Jason: 4-12
Austin: 5-11
Codie: 4-12
Mike: 3-13
Bryce 1-15
Andy: 4-12
It doesn’t Seem like the experts are to high on the Vikings this year but a surprise could happen (high unlikely).
Sorry I don't have all the info on this week, I had to make this in a hurry. It will be back to normal on the next rankings.

That only matters a little bit, what really matters is how records are affected by SOS through 6 weeks. I am going to order these from stroongest through 6 weeks to weakest, and put their combine opponent win % through 6 weeks by their name.

The Vikings offense had been in struggle bus mode through the first 4 weeks in the SFL. In that 4 week span they only managed to average 18 points per game. Also in that stretch they had two games in which they only scored 1 touchdown, against Buffalo and the LA Rams. After the week 4 win in LA Coach Miller said "We better pick it up on offense or there will be changes made"
Well it looks like Vikings Offensive Coordinator John DeFilippo got last weeks message. The Vikings had a farely well balanced attack, but the execution was much improved from previous weeks. "Quarterback play was more efficient, our line played very well, the running game was going, and our recievers hung onto the football" Coach DeFilippo said. Defilippo also added "Our main keys to this week were blocking, and not dropping passes. I was very pleased with how both turned out in the game".
In addition to the Offense the Minnesota defense is starting to come together as well. They gave up 17 points in the first half, and after that they only gave up a lucky bomb to Alshon Jeffery. "The run defense looks incredible, we struggled in that department against Green Bay. Our guys know a performance like that one against the Packers is just unacceptable" Coach Miller told the Media. Ever since then the defense has finally started to take form and could be given a cool defensive nickname if they keep it up.
The Vikings will play host to the Arizona Cardinals in week 6 in Minneapolis. They have a young rookie Quarterback in Josh Rosen they hope to rattle early and often. Also David Johnson is no slouch so the front seven better be ready for battle against that animal they call David. Coach Miller and his team are looking to keep improving as the season goes on, and keep the offensive and defensive momentum they had going in Philadelphia.
