WFT Defense Dominant in Win Over L.A. Chargers

Week 1 of the Madden 22 cycle brought some excitemnt to the nations capital. The Washington Football Team had a date with the Los Angeles Chargers, and wanted to show what they were capable of. After hearing rumors of Chargers coach LaDanian Tomlinson saying that LA was going to "destroy" the WFT the team was out to prove something. Washington sure did make him eat his words after a 41-14 blowout win, and a very impressive defensive showing.
The Football Team's defense held Los Angeles' second year Quarterback Justin Herbert to just a 50% completion rate and 5 interceptions including two pick sixes. They also bullied the Chargers offensive line tallying 5 quarterback tackles on the day. On the other side of the ball Antonio Gibson had over 200 yards rushing on 27 carries, and refused to be stopped. Newly acquired Quarterback Drew Lock looked as good as he could for only neing apart of the team for just a few weeks. He went 9/18 with 134 yards, 3 TDs, and 2 interceptions.
Your SFL Washington Football Team will play division opponent Maleek, and the New York Giants in Week 2. They look forward to the challenge as well as improving upon their Week 1 performance. Coach Cap'n Kirk Cousins was quoted as saying "It's shaping up to be a fun game, and we are excited to be 1-0 with a chance of being 2-0 this week".
