Way too early Playoff predictions! NFC Edition!
The playoffs are 13 weeks away but we feel like we have a pretty good idea of who will punch a ticket to the show.
Will start with the NFC…since they always win the Super Bowl.
Division winners
NFC East: Eagles- Projected finish 12-5
If you think NFC playoffs this is one of the first teams that will pop in your mind. They need to play better in the playoffs, but they are a serious contender.
NFC West: Rams- Projected finish 12-5
The Rams have always been a contender but can’t seem to take the next step in the playoffs. This teams is hungry and dangerous.
NFC North: Packers- Projected finish 13-4
The Packers might only be 3-2 but don’t count on them to be watching the playoffs at home. Say whatever you want about them…one things for sure is they are dangerous. A mega trade for Mahomes is really paying off. It might even get them over their playoff woes.
NFC South: Panthers- Projected finish 12-5
Last but not least is your Super Bowl Champions. They flew under the radar last season and won it all. They’re not flying under the radar now. They’ll be on everyone’s mind come playoff time.
Wild cards:
Falcons: Projected finish 11-6
Falcons are serious contenders who are currently living in the shadows of the Super Bowl Champion Panthers. Look for them come NFC championship time.
Commanders: Projected finish 10-7
The Commanders were Power Rankings sleeper team last year and they let us down. They will hopefully not let us down again. If they can stay the course they could be dangerous in the playoffs.
Seahawks: Projected finish 10-7
The Seahawks are a surprise team. They have got off to a good start and if they can win 7 of their next 12 games they might be able to do something in the playoffs.
Honorable mentions:
Cardinals: they’re a playoff team who’s just had a bad start to their season. If they can get back to their roots they can spoil the playoffs for the newcomers.
Giants: Always the bridesmaid never the brined. The Giants are always a threat to make the playoffs they just can’t seem to get out of their own way.
Seeding:
#1 Packers
#2 Rams
#3 Eagles
#4 Panthers
#5 Falcons
#6 Commanders
#7 Seahawks

NFL Power Rankings 5/15/2022
The first Quarter of the Season is in the books and as we move closer to the end of the cycle teams are starting to really shape up the way the user wanted them to. Now it will be interesting to see how the cycle finishes. Will we have a new Champion or will the Panthers win another one.
This was probably the biggest jump I’ve had for teams during my time doing Power Rankings. Enjoy.
1. Panthers: (last wk#1) Defense win championships and the Panthers have on if the best defenses in the NFL. They’re #1 in points allowed and #3 in yds allowed. They’re defense will be tested coming up. They’re opponents week 6-13 have a combined record of 21-8. They will also be playing 7 playoff teams and a hot Seahawks and Dolphins team over the remainder of their seasons.
2. Ravens: (last wk#2) The last remaining undefeated AFC team. The Ravens have a nasty defense that is making up for an average offense. Or maybe their defense just gets them the ball on the opponent's side of the field and their offense doesn’t have the chance to put up stats like other teams.
3. Eagles: (last wk#3) The only team better at keeping opponents off the score board is the Panthers who they loss to. Now they were looking like they were going to win before a late game disconnect. No worries though the Eagles will still be in the playoffs come December.
4. Rams: (last wk#9) The Rams are undefeated and their Schedule has not been easy. They beat very tough Packers, Falcons and Seahawks teams. Their schedule doesn’t get any easier so they will need that top 10 offense and defense to keep doing what they do.
5. Packers: (last wk #5) The Packers had a late comeback against one of the better teams in the AFC. They still have work to do. Mahomes threw 5 picks but made up for it with his legs rushing for 87yds and 2 TDs. They have a top 10 offense and a defense and will continue to make teams earn wins.
6. Falcons: (last week#6) The Falcons lost a game that shoulda been a force win but I think they’ll recover. 7 of their remaining opponents have a 9-20 record and the Falcons still have one of the best pass defenses. They do need some work on their run Defense though.
7. Patriots: (last week#7). The Patriots have had a relative easy first quarter. The combined record of teams they faced in the 1st quarter is 7-12. It gets tougher though. They have 7 playoff teams remaining on their schedule and 2 games against a hit Miami team (who they usually dominate). So their top 5 defense is going to be tested.
8. Texans: (last wk#8) The Texans have the #1 offense with a very average defense. It seems like they have to outscore their opponents every week instead of having their defense pull their weight. Their defense has allowed an average of 36 points a game. If they want to make a splash in the playoffs they need to find a way to inspire their defense or they will be watching the Super Bowl from their couches at home.
9: Jets: (last wk#10) I am under direct threat from fans to make them move up in the power rankings. But I think those threats are as real as the Jets threat to win the Super Bowl. The Jets are who we thought they are. A very dangerous team sometimes. They only face 2 playoff teams for the rest of the season…and I’m still not sure if they win out or lose 7 of their next 12 games.
10. Browns: (last wk#4) The Brows sh*t the bed in their game against the Packers. They had the win until they didn’t. They have now lost 3 games on late team drives. I don’t think this keeps them outta the playoffs but they definitely need to win these close games. Throwing 7 INTs won’t accomplish that.
11. Seahawks: (last wk#17) The Seahawks have showed a lot of improvement since last season. That went punch for punch with the Rams (and lost). Beat a thought Cardinals and Titans teams…but 2 wins came from winless teams. Still though, With their schedule they may get a wildcard spot…but don’t look for them to win their division or the top seed.
12. Dolphins: (last wk#14) The Dolphins have not had any real quality wins with maybe the exception of the Bengals. Their wins have come against teams with a combined 4-15 record. That’s not a knock on them, unlike the Jets they’re winning all the games they should. There’s still 4 or 5 games I see on their schedule I think they have a really good chance of winning easily. They just need to win some of these hard games…especially against division opponents
13. Titans: (last wk#29) Well well well if it is t another powerhouse owner..or is it? Their 1st 2 wins were against 2 of the worst teams with 1 win between them…then they beat a tough Texans and Jaguars team. They were one WR dropping a wide open pass away from going ahead of the Seahawks. It’s hard to judge them but they’re winning games they should and beating tough teams. Playoffs? Maybe.
14. Commanders: (last wk#16) The Commanders have started out hot this season…just like last Season. Let’s hope they don’t have another late season collapse which put them out of the playoffs. Dropping a game against the Lions isn’t going to help them fix what happened last year. They’re 1 accidentally declined penalty from being a .500 team. 7 of their remaining 13 games are against playoff teams so they need to keep that top 10 offense humming.
15. Cardinals: (last wk#11) The Cardinals seem loss. Their staple has always been their exciting high flying attack…but lately nothing about them has been exciting. Their offense and defense is below average and they’re 0-2 in their division. This is a team that can get hit and go a run so don’t count them out yet.
16. Chiefs: (last wk#13) Whenever I look at Schedules I look for must-win games. The Chargers were a must-win game. The Chargers are a decent team who makes you earn victories…but they are beatable. The Chiefs have a tough remaining schedule and they can’t afford to drop these games they should win.
17. Steelers: (last wk#15) The Steelers blew out a bad Lions team and the beat the Bengals by 1 score…then dropped 2 tough games in a row by 2 and then 3 points. They’re sitting at .500 and 3 of their next 4 games are against playoff teams. They need their below average offense to help out that top 10 defense. They do have some easy games this season but they need to win some of these tough games.
18. Bears: (last wk#12) We all know the Bears never stood a chance to win their division. The packers are Kings of the NFC North (that felt gross saying out loud)…but we do expect them to be fighting for one of those wildcard spots. Don’t panic yet. 2 of their 3 losses were by less than 1 score..and 9 of their remaining opponents have a combined record of 6-26.
19. Raiders: (last wk#22) The Raiders have been a surprise early team this year. They’re 3-1 and beat their division rival Chiefs and now are 1st in their division. They also have a top 10 offense and a defense that is too 10 in yes allowed but 18th in points…are the Raiders a dominate team or are these stats screwed by 2 games against teams with 1 win? Time will tell but the Raiders are looking good.
20. Giants: (last wk#20) They’re 1 accidental penalty decline away from being 3-1. They have an easy schedule if they can take advantage of it. 8 of their remaining 13 games are against opponents who have a combined 5-27 record. Time will tell if their below average offense and defense can take advantage of their schedule.
21. Bengals: (last wk#21) The Bengals on win came against teams with losing records. And both those win were within 3 points. The 2 teams they played that had winning record won by 21 points or more. They have the talent on the roster but they need to figure out how to use it.
22. Jaguars: (last wk#18) The Jaguars lost 3 of their 4 games by 1 score or less. They are not an easy win and they are not out of it yet. They only have 4 playoffs teams left on the schedule and the rest of the games are winnable.
23. Chargers: (last wk#23) I thought this could be the Chargers year to make the playoffs…Then the Chargers dropped a couple games they shoulda won. They still have 6-7 games I think they should be able to win. But the offense is going to start helping out their defense.
24. Buccaneers: (last wk#30) When the Bucs get blown out I hope they don’t take it personally. People still have PTSD from the previous Bucs team. They’re a .500 team who’s only win comes from winless teams. They have a tough schedule so they’ll have to figure it out.
25. Lions: (last wk#32) The Lions showed some promise when they lost a shootout by 2 points to the Falcons. And then they beat a Hot Commanders team. There’s still hope for them.
26. Saints: (last wk#24) Their first quarter schedule was brutal. 3 out of 4 teams were playoff teams last year. Their only win coming against a 1-3 49ers team. Their next 3 games opponents have a combined 2-11 record. After that it gets a lot harder…their remaining opponents have a combined 31-13 record…
27. 49ers: (last wk#27) I can’t figure the 49ers out. They’ll blow a good team out of the water and then drop 5 straight. They have a top 10 offense but one of the worst defenses in the NFL…they gotta figure it out.
28. Broncos: (last wk#26) almost dead last in every Offensive category…defense isn’t much better. They did beat their division rival Chargers…so there’s that.
29. Colts: (last wk#28) When they took over as new owners and beat the Texans in the playoffs I was shocked. I figured here’s another power house…but they haven’t done anything since then and really their only win was a mistake because it was supposed to go to Falcons. I wanna see that magic that allowed them to beat the Texans in the playoffs.
30. Bills: (last wk#25) When I first saw the Bills record I thought maybe they’re not even trying. Then I looked at their schedule. 18-6…that’s the Bills opponents combined record for the first 5 games. That’s brutal. They still have 6 games against playoff teams remaining.
31. Cowboys: (last wk#19) The Cowboys average 62 rush yds a game with one of the best running backs in the league. They either need to use him or trade him for assets that can help them on offense or defense where they rank towards the bottom in both.
32. Vikings: (last wk#31) The Vikings have been out score 187 to 47 in their 4 losses.
NFL Power Rankings 5/8/22
Alright ladies and gentlemen, it’s time for another random Power Ranking. This is going to be a special addition for the Redskins or Football team or whatever they’re calling themselves nowadays.
The first few seasons Power Rankings were corrupted by a team that would do anything to win and now he’s gone I don’t think will see any repeat Super Bowl winners. We have a lot of talented teams who could beat each other on any given Monday Wednesday of Saturday. Let’s get this started.
1. Washington Commander: I know what you’re thinking. There’s no way Commanders could possibly be number 1 in the power rankings. None so ever. Guys Imma finish the rest of the power rankings, but Commanders had one of the best drafts of all time…ok funs over, you can find Commanders real ranking if you scroll way down. Now to the Ranking
1. Panthers: Super Bowl champs. I never saw it coming. Maybe because he’s not always on Twitter talking about how good he is *coughJetsRavenscough*. After checking out their Team stats I don’t know how I missed it. #2 in Offense of scoring and #2 in Points scored against. They won 3 out of 4 playoff games by 7 points or less. But..2 out of their 3 regular season losses came at the wings of the Falcons. Hopefully they can figure out how to beat them this year in case they meet in the playoffs.
2. Ravens: The Ravens have been one of the top teams consistently since entering the league. They have one of the most talented rosters and an owner who knows how to use them. The fact that they haven’t won a Super Bowl yet is beyond me. They did face the Bucs and we know how that went *coughbucschearscough*. If I had to make a bet on who would be representing the AFC in the Super Bowl it would be them.
3. Eagles: Another team that is consistently one of the top teams. And another team that performs poor in the playoffs. They were 7 points away from representing the NFC in the Super Bowl so there’s that.
4. Browns: They’re really good at getting lots of interceptions and then telling us how good they are at getting interceptions. they’ve beaten some really good teams…but they’ve also lost to bad teams. And they’ve almost lost to some average teams *coughcommanderscough*. All jokes asides they’re one of the top AFC teams and have a good chance of representing the AFC in the Super bowl this year.
5. Packers: The Packers remind of the fast and the furious race where Paul Walker hits the NOS too early in the race and Vin Diesel catches him at the finish line and he loses. The Packers are dominant during the regular season…but they haven’t been able to replicate that in the playoffs. Who knows what would have happened if he didn’t play the Bucs in the playoffs 2 seasons ago. I think they’re a lock for a playoff spot but they have to show us more in the playoffs.
6. Falcons: They were impressive in their first full season last year. They started 1-3 and then won 12 of their next 13 games, before being knocked out of the playoff by a tough Eagles team. They might not have won the Super Bowl but they did beat the Super Bowl champs twice…so at least their drunk fans can claim a kinda victory? I think we will see them improve this year with another full season under their belt.
7. Patriots: Their a very strategic team and we’ve seen them improve each year after missing the playoffs 2 years ago. The Ravens have been their kryptonite in the playoffs knocking them out of the playoffs their last 2 appearances. If they can figure out how to beat the Ravens they’re a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
8. Texans: The colts give the Texans a hard time no matter who’s controlling them. They’re 0-2 against the Colts in the playoff and 0-4 in total playoff games. They’re another regular season champ who can’t seem to get over the hump. Make no mistake they’re a great team…they just have to figure it out in the playoffs. I don’t know if it’s bad luck or what but they’ve had some tough losses in the playoffs.
9: Rams: Another team that’s always in the hunt but seems to come up short. I thought with Bucs out they would for sure be in the Super Bowl…but I think they underestimated the Panthers who bullied them in the playoffs. I think the Rams are legitimate contenders still. They’re not getting the top seed but they’re a lock for the playoffs.
10. Jets: I already know I’m getting a DM from fans for putting them this low. The Jets are like Cowboy fans every year “this is our year”. They’re too bipolar to bet on though. They can beat any team..but they can also be beat by any team. It wouldn’t surprise me if they missed the playoffs entirely or won the Super Bowl.
11. Cardinals: It seems like the Cardinals are either dominating a team or getting dominated. They almost beat the Panthers and if it wasn’t for the Bucs they woulda been representing the NFC in the Super Bowl during the 2022 season. With a little bit of more consistency they gotta shot to win it all.
12. Bears: The Bears are a tough win em for most opponents. They play a lot of close games, but they’re losing too many of those close games. They’re a wild card team at best right now. Unfortunately for them the Packers in owner has came in and now owns the north in dominating fashion. Will see if this off-season can spark a change for them.
13. Chiefs: they’ve made the playoffs 3 out of the last 4 years. I don’t know if that’s because of talent or a playing in a terrible division. They’re 0-3 in the playoffs and it always feels like they’re a warm up game for their playoff opponents. They definitely have the ability to be great. They just seem to be stuck on the cusp of average and great right now. Trading Tyreek Hill seems like it hurt their offense. Will see what they can do this year.
14. Dolphins: They’re the safe bet if you like to gamble. Most of the time they’re going to win the games they should and lose the games they should. They will shock you both ways once in awhile. They play in a tough division and I think they’re on the outside looking in when it comes playoff time. The Dolphins have finished the last 4 seasons 8-9…missing the playoffs every year.
15. Steelers: I know this could be said about other teams but…if the Steelers win 1-2 of their close losses they’re in the playoff’s last year…or so their fans who are always posting on social media say. The Steelers have 2 of the best teams in the league in their division so it doesn’t look hopeful for their playoff hopes.
16. Commanders: The Commanders beat the Falcons, Eagles, and Ravens all in a row…but then lost to the Bengals, Saints, Seahawks, and Cowboys (twice). I don’t know if they underestimated these teams or if it was just bad luck. I thought after knocking down 3 elite teams they were going to be serious Super Bowl contenders…but this team still has a lot potential.
17. Seahawks: They won more games last season then their previous 2 seasons combined. They have potential…until someone stops their short game passing and running game. They have to become more diversified in their play calling or they’ll always be an average team.
18. Jaguars: The Jaguars are a good teams stuck in an elite division. They have to play the Colts and Texans twice a year and the new Titans owner may or may not be a threat. I think they still have the ability to make the playoffs if they can split some of these division games.
19. Cowboys: The Cowboys are in the same boat as the Jaguars. Good team stuck in a great division. They have a super talented roster but they just can’t seem to utilize it. But good news! From what fans are telling me “this is their year”.
20. Giants: Copy and paste everything I said about the Cowboys right here…except Giants fans are realistic and know this is not their year.
21. Bengals: Good team solid roster…but stuck in a division with Ravens and Browns. I think they’re good enough to make the playoffs… if they were in the AFC West. Unfortunately they’re not. They were 0-6 in this division. If they could just split these games they might have a chance.
22. Raiders: They play in one of the worst divisions in the NFL and still haven’t seemed to find a way into the playoffs. They regressed last year and I don’t see things changing this year. The Chiefs own this division.
23. Chargers: Who said nice guys finish last? Ok I said that about the Chargers last year but this year is different. Nice guys are taking charge and going from bad to average. Then next year average to above average. Seriously though the Chargers made some strides last year and I look for them to keep on improving.
24. Saints: 3 seasons ago they were a legitimate Super Bowl contender and now they’re a legitimate contender for the #1 ovr pick. They have to get back to what made them contenders.
25. Bills: The Bills we’re 0-6 in their division. They do play in a thought division but these games weren’t even close. Hopefully they can figure it out. If One man can blow up a planet sized space station then they have a chance to win some division games.
26. Broncos: They have a lot of work to do. They play in a bad division and still can’t win more than 5 games.
27. 49ers: After making the move from the Titans to the 49ers they realized this division is no easier. They have talent on this roster but work to do in their game plans.
28. Colts: New user. Don’t know much about him. He did win a playoff game but that’s not a real evaluation of talent. Best wishes this year.
29.Titans: New user. Don’t know much about him. Best wishes this year.
30. Buccaneers: inherited a team that only needed 3 wins to make the playoffs and couldn’t do it. Best wishes this year.
31. Vikings: Won 1 game and hasn’t shown much promise. Hopefully he can figure it out this year.
32. Lions: went 1-7 as a new owner. Lots work needed. Best wishes.
NFL Power Rankings
Surprise...Power Rankings. Yay. I lost 2 workers and now work more...I’m praying this will end after the summer and next cycle we can be more consistent.
1. Buccaneers- Yes he may complain that other people are now watching the same YouTube videos he is...but he’s still the 3X Super Bowl Champ...and until someone watches more videos he will remain the Champ.
2.Patriots- I feel like last year was a tank sorta year... Pats has reloaded on talent and poised to make a strong push in the AFC.
3.Colts- After a disappointing year last season, Colts are making people remember why he was our favorite sleeper team.
4.Rams- After a disappointing start the Rams are back showing teams why they’re not to be taken lightly.
5.Eagles- Yes they lost to the Falcons and WFT. But both those teams are on the rise. The Eagles embarrassed the Bucs week 1 and have been very impressive.
6.Panthers- They can’t seem to beat the Falcons, but they owned the Bucs and that’s who they will need to beat to advance to the Super Bowl.
7.Packers- The Packers are making some noise in this league. They embarrassed the Bucs and beat tough teams including Jets, Texans and the Bears.
8.Cardinals- They ma have been embarrassed by the Rams, but the Cardinals have such an explosive offense its hard to imagine that happening again.
9.Texans- The Texans have been really good at beating bad teams this year. BUT you can’t control your schedule and they’ve won the games they should. Their only loss coming from the Packers by 3 points.
10.Browns- After a devastating penalty handed down by the league many people didn’t think the Browns could recover. After an 0-2 start the Brows have show they need to be taken seriously.
11.Lions- Hear me roar “yawn”. Yes the Lions are 7-1...but there opponents have a combined record of 16-55. I’ll give them credit for winning the games they should. But we will learn more about them in the second half of the season.
12.Ravens- Considering they lost Lamar early the Ravens have held up pretty well.
13.Bears- They beat the Pats and have hung with some good team (kinda). The Bears are showing promise.
14.Commanders- After a fought start to the season the WFT have shown some promise. They lost a nail biter to an average Seahawks teams, but besides that i see a lot of potential from them.
15.Chiefs- I think we all expected them to do better this year...one week they lose to the Chargers and the next they beat the Rams... Their schedule gets much easier... they will be in the playoffs.
16.Falcons- They confuse me...They beat the Panthers twice and then lose to the Cowboys and Broncos.
17.Jets-How the mighty have fallen. The Jets represented the AFC in the Super Bowl last year and now are in danger of missing the Playoffs.
18.Steelers- Let me introduce you to the Steelers...oh wait you already know him...he’s the guy you couldn’t find last year but now he’s rushing everyone for weekly advance. He’s got talent...not sure it can take him to the playoffs...time will tell.
19.Chargers- No one has endured more punishment than the Chargers. He won 3 total games in the last 3 seasons...now he has 4 this season. His determination is admirably. I’m not sure if this will be a nice guy finishes last story or a zero to hero one.
20.Bengals- The Talent is there. The Bengals have had a tough schedule and somehow remain in the mix...Their schedule gets a little easier but they have to put the pieces together if they wanna get in the playoffs.
21.Seahawks- The Seahawks made a lot fo moves to get the roster they wanted...so far with mixed results. If they can stop throwing 5 INTs a game they may make the playoffs.
22.Dolphins- After starting 1-4 the Dolphins are 4–5...They beat bad teams and lose to good teams...
23.Raiders- They’re really good at beating bad teams. When faced with great teams they fold like a lawn chair.
24.Giants- They seem to have regrouped after the bye week. They came out and stunned the Colts and beat a bad Cowboys team.
25.49ers- They came out like gangbusters and embarrassed the Rams...then did nothing after. This team has disappointed more people than a fat person seeing an “all you can eat buffet” only to realize it meant only salads.
26.Jaguars-This was one of my sleeper teams this season...and now you know I don’t have any idea what I’m doing. Their schedule gets easier but they’re already sunk at 2-7.
27.Broncos- I thought they were tanking last year...now i realize they’re just bad.
28.Bills- The only team they beat was the winless CPU Titans.
29.Cowboys- I haven’t seen someone hype their team up this much since the Vikings hyped up the Hershel Walker trade...both incidences we were left disappointed.
30.Saints- What happened? 2 years ago they were a playoff team...now its like they’re the punching bag of the league.
31.Titans- CPU with zero wins giving bad players a free win.
32.Vikings- I don’t think you’re supposed to tank 3 years in a row...
NFL Power Rankings Week 6
This was the most difficult Power Ranking I’ve had to do so far. I’m moving away from what teams did last year and moving towards what they have shown us this year.
I know for some teams it can seem unfair. Maybe you have more wins than a team ahead of you but you haven’t played any tough teams. You played the games on your schedule and won. Just so you know as the season develops this will correct itself. But I try not to put someone ahead of someone else simply because they won 3 games against bad teams while someone only won 2 but played all great teams.
I had to use daddyleagues for this one and didn’t have as much in depth info as when I’m on my PS5. I did however go through each teams individual schedule when ranking them. I spent 4 hours writing this today (I write when I have time to kill while working on other projects) and I hope you enjoy.
1. Buccaneers- There’s not much you need to say when a team keeps dominating every team they play (with the exception of the Eagles). Look for the Bucs to continue their onslaught against the Vikings next week.
2. Eagles- The only smudge on the Eagles is an OT loss to the Bucs. The Eagles are knocking on the door though with an offense that has whopping 48 points per game average...that’s good enough for #1 in the league.
3. Rams- The Rams are taking care of business week in and week out. I see them stepping out of the shadows of the Bucs and showing everyone why they remain undefeated. Look for them to best a tough Cardinals team.
4. Texans- The Texans are good at running the ball and stopping the run...they have mediocre to poor rankings in pass defense and offense. .. what’s not mediocre is their scoring. They rank #3 in points per game.
5. Panthers- The Panthers almost lost a close one to a bad Falcons team who’s only win is against a terrible Seahawks team...but a win is a win and as long as the Panthers keep their #1 ranked defense (in points per game) I can see them rising high.
6. Browns- The Browns threw 3 Interceptions Vs the Texans and they weren’t able to recover from their mistakes. I see the Browns bouncing back and welcoming the new 49ers coach to the league by giving him an L.
7. Colts- They got a rebound win against the Jaguars after a bad loss last week. They’re offense is firing on all cylinders but their defense looks bad. Its early and they’ve played some tough teams. I think they’re going to be just fine.
8. Cardinals- I know Cards fans hearts were sinking after starting 0-2, with one being a blowout. It appears the Cardinals are back to their old high flying ways. They have won 3 in a row with that #1 passing attack (per game average) and their defense “bend, don’t break” strategy.
9. Jets- Normally blowing out the Ravens would get you an award and a huge power ranking boost but lately the Ravens have fell of. But you can’t deny the Jets ability to score when they’re averaging 47 points a game.
10. Patriots- Last week they lost by 1 score to a hot Jets team and this week they blow out the Cowboys. The Patriots are finding their grove and look for that to continue next week against the WFT who’s only 2 wins have been against winless teams.
11. Chiefs- The Chiefs get their 2 loss of the season by the hands of the Eagles. Their other loss was to the Texans. Both of them elite teams, but both were double digit losses. If you want to win in January you have to beat the elite teams.
12. 49ers- I think this might be a bit too high for them. There 3 wins have come against teams with a combined 4-12 record...but their losses have been only by 1 score to a high powered Dallas team and one of the most elite teams in the league THE Rams. Next week Vs the Browns is a prove it game.
13. Cowboys- The Cowboys missed the playoffs by 1 game last year...and it’s going to be close this year too if they don’t step it up. A tough loss to the Patriots this week doesn’t doom their season...but the way their team has been playing will if it continues.
14. Raider- Yes they beat the Ravens in week 1...but that team doesn’t appear to be the same as last years. The teams the Raiders have wins against have a combined record of 3-17. They have to prove themselves against the Chiefs this week.
15. Steelers- After starting out hot and taking the league by storm, the Steelers have lost their last 2 games. It’s not getting any easier with the Texans up next week before their bye week.
16. Dolphins- Yes they’re 4-1 and yes that should matter. But the teams they’re beating (with the exception of the Giants) aren’t good teams. Next week should show us a little more of what the Dolphins can do. The Bengals aren’t elite but they won’t just roll over either.
17. Lions- They had a chance to show the world they’re a dominate team by beating the Cardinals...and failed to do so. They did however remind Vikings fans they still own them.
18. Bengals- The Bengals got their first noteworthy win of the season against the Titans. Their other 2 wins were against the 0-5 Broncos and 0-5 Seahawks. Let’s see if they can get a second noteworthy win against decent Dolphins team.
19. Titans- They beat the Steelers and that great defense and then lost a shootout to the Bengals in week 5. If they can get their defense on board they can bounce back. This bye came at a perfect time for them to figure that out.
20. Giants- Don’t let the Giants 1-4 record fool you, this team can ball out. They’re 4 losses come from teams with a combined record of 14-6. The rest of their schedule is not as brutal and I still believe they’re a playoff team.
21. Bears- The bears have a top 10 defense...but that doesn’t matter when you have one of the worst offenses in the league. Luckily they’re facing a giants team that has the same problem.
22. Washington Football Team- Top 10 offense and bottom half defense describes the WFT. Their on wins are against winless teams. It’s not like they’re getting blown out in games. They’re in every game they play. Great teams win these games. Good teams win half them and bad teams lose them all. I think they’re a good team and will win half of these games in the future. They have 7 tough games left on the schedule so that’s 3.5 wins. So if they can win the 4 games against bad teams we will see them in the wildcard.
23. Vikings- Offense is below average. Defense is below average. They have the talent and we’ve seen some flashes but the blowout by the Lions shows me they’re not ready.
24. Ravens- Oh how the might have fallen. The Ravens were supposed to be the team who unseats the Buccaneers. I’m not sure if the Coach is allowing kids to play his team like a make a wish type deal...but whatever is going on it needs to stop. Their fans deserve better.
25. Bills- After starting 2-0 they dropped their last 3. They have a solid defense except when it comes to scoring points. I don’t know if that’s too many turnovers in the red zone but they need to fix it now.
26. Jaguars- One of the best run teams in the NFL which is good because whenever the opponents offense has the ball they usually score. If they can shore up this defense I think this team can surprise you.
27. Packers- Luckily for the Packers their schedule gets easier as the season goes. They’re remaining opponents have a combined record of 28-42. The packers have one of the easiest schedules out of any team with a strength of schedule rating of -81.677.
28. Saints- If it wasn’t for a sim sim they would 1-4 right now. Having a good defense doesn’t matter when you can’t score points.
29. Falcons- They have top 10 defense and almost beat the Panthers. Yet their only win comes against the 0-5 Seahawks.
30. Chargers- They’ve played a couple close games and besides that their fans have not a lot to be excited about. They have one of the worst defenses with a below average offense.
31. Seahawks- They have the worse defense in the NFL and an average to below average offense. I did see some fight in them against the WFT so maybe the defensive pieces they got are paying off.
32. Broncos- The worst offense in the NFL paired up with a average defense. This is the Broncos.
NFL Week 5 Power Rankings
Ok ladies and gentleman were a quarter of the way through the season and the men are starting to separate themselves from the boys.
After doing my poll about content it was about 50/50. I’ve decided to make the power rankings 50/50. 50 percent serious and 50 percent jokes. Just remember that wins and losses doesn’t always have a big impact on ranking. I wanna say this now so I don’t have to post it on multiple teams rankings…just because you beat bad teams doesn’t make you good.
1. Buccaneers- The Bucs have a top 10 defense and even though their offense isn’t top 10 it hasn’t stop them from scoring or winning games. The Bucs have proven that they are the top dawg whether you like them or not…calling them cheese might make you feel better but it sure isn’t helping you beat them.
2. Eagles- The Eagles have a top 4 defense and are #2 in takeaways. When your #2 in takeaways it doesn’t matter if you don’t have a top 10 defense. This team took the best team in the NFL to OT and almost won. I believe the Eagles have what it takes to beat the Bucs.
3. Rams-It’s hard not ranking the Rams the best or 2nd best team in this league because I think they’re up their. I just don’t think they’ve played enough elite talent this year to make the case over the Bucs or Eagles. The don’t have a top 10 offense or defense. They do however have the highest turnover differential and most takeaways in the league…did I mention they have ZERO penalties. I’m a big fan but I need to see them beat some more elite teams to move them up.
4. Panthers- The Panthers only loss has come by the hands of the Bucs in week 1 and they haven’t loss since…what have they did since week 1 that’s notable? They put the boots to the Colts and destroyed a saints team that has a top 3 defense. The Panthers defense isn’t anything to scuff at ranking in the top 10 and ranks top 5 in takeaways.
5. Texans- Their only loss came to a tough Colts team in week 1. Since then the Texans and their top 10 offense have been unstoppable. A big reason for their success is they’re ranked 2nd in turnover difference and ranked 4th in takeaways. One word that comes to mind is opportunistic.
6. Chiefs- I had to do a double take when I saw I had ranked them this high…right now a lot of teams are trying to find themselves but I think the Chiefs got a handle on things. They beat a tough Jets team and had a late game collapse against the elite Texans. I realize the Packers and Dolphins aren’t exactly top flight security…but the Dolphins are a seasoned team who definitely aren’t an easy win (unless the Jets are playing them).
7. Browns- The Browns had me concerned after a double digit loss to the Steelers…Then they go and blow out the Colts and make up for it. The Browns boast a top 5 offense and have managed to stay ahead in the win column. The real test comes next week against the Texans.
8. Colts- I finally feel how Obi-Wan felt talking to Anakin in Star Wars…let down. He was my dark horse last year and my favorite to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl this year…Did he give up too much for DK? Maybe but we wont know until the year is over. I really think they will rebound and come through.
9. Steelers- You know what’s scary about the Steelers? They have the #1 defense in the NFL…know what’s not scary? They have the 28th ranked offense. It doesn’t matter how good your defense is if your offense can’t score. They need to fix this immediately.
10. Cowboys- It’s now “we dem boyz” season…ear plugs are selling out all over Texas… Not us we’re all on board…maybe not dark horse yet but close…They are average with most of their stats except they rank 2nd in penalty yards…and only have 1 loss against an elite Rams team.
11. Jets- The Jets used their #2 ranked offense to finally beat the Patriots. Now they have beaten their bully its time make a statement and win their next 2 games against the Ravens and Eagles. They do have a big obstacle though….remember I said they have the #2 defense? They also have the #3 ranked defense…from the bottom (30th ranked defense for all you slow to catch on).
12. Titans- The Titans made a big trade for an aging QB during the off-season and it seems to be paying off. While they have a top 10 offense their defense leaves something to be desired…at least their flush as far as turnover differential goes. I was impressed the way they handled the Steelers #1 ranked defense. Their schedule seems light with playing the Bengals and then the bye week…the real challenge starts week 7 vs the Ravens… and it doesn’t get much easier after that. They have 8 games left against playoff teams from last year.
13. Cardinals- The Cardinals have had a tough schedule and came out 2-2. They have a top 10 offense and I believe they can bounce back. One thing that concerns me is they continue to turn the ball over and are only 47% in the red zone. They have the talent they just need to make the adjustments.
14. 49ers- The 49ers have the #2 ranked offense and are ranked #1 in redzone efficiency. Their team identity is a mystery though. Their only loss has come to a tough Cowboys team…while 2 of their of their wins come from teams with a combined 0-8 record. Are they good at beating bad teams or good?
15. Patriots- I never thought I would see the day that the Patriots fell out of the top 10…no I’m not a groupie…its just they’ve always been relevant. They make adjustments and always compete. For the first time in a long time they don’t have a top 10 defense or offense. They play a tough Cowboys team next so its time to see these adjustments we’re used to…
16. Saints- I’ve heard a lot of Saints fans screaming “who dat”…not because they’re excited, but because they don’t recognize this team. They still have a top 3 Defense…they just can’t seem to win when it matters.
17. Lions- The Lions are the definition of average. They beat the bad teams and lose to the great ones…one saving grace is their redzone scoring which is 72%. They benefit from playing in a weak division. If they wanna do more than win a division title they need to get better.
18. Ravens- The Ravens are -8 in the turnover battle this season…and maybe that’s why they have fell so far in this power ranking…that and their 1-3 record…their only win coming against the Bengals. The Ravens are in trouble.
19. Raiders- They have 2 sim wins and their 2 other wins…come from teams with a combined record of 1-7. Not impressed.
20. Dolphins- I feel like a broken record…the Dolphins 2 wins come from teams with a combined record of 1-7. Their 2 losses were to playoff teams and it wasn’t close…They’re average on both sides of the ball… Changes need to be made or they will be on the outside looking in come playoff time.
21. Giants- I can already here the haters…”What, how can you rank them above other teams with wins”? Yes they don’t have a top 10 offense or defense…yes they are 0-4…BUT 2 of those losses are to one of the best teams in this league…the Eagles. The other 2? A tough new comer in the 49ers and an old veteran in the Dolphins. This team has the ability and talent…can they put it together though?
22. Bears- I had to do a double take when I saw the Bears were 3-1…Then I looked at their schedule. They got blown out by a 1-3 Packers team and then beat 2 teams with a combined record of 2-6…the other win was a sim win.
23. Washington Football team- I received a little bad feedback after rankings them low last week. It was a long day and I apologized and sad next weeks will be better…why? Because sometimes I make mistakes when I’m tired…now after researching them I’m not sorry…they are 1-3 and their only win comes from the 0-4 Chargers. Almost beating a good team is still a loss. AND YES I know they have the #1 offense…but I wanna see that offense beat a team with a winning record and then ill move them up higher.
24. Bengals- The Bengals only wins are against winless teams…that’s right I said it…when they play anyone with at least a 1 in the win column they lose…not saying that they will never win against a team whose won a game…just stated facts as they come to me.
25. Vikings- The Vikings are 2-2 and that’s something. They beat the 1–3 Packers so there’s that…oh and the 0-4 Chargers. If they play a lot teams with low winning percentages they may make the playoffs this year…which is likely since they play in one of the worst divisions in the league.
26. Bills- The Bills came out hot beating the Chargers and Patriots…then lost 2 straight to the Jaguars and Raiders…Then we realized the Chargers aren’t that good and the Patriots are having performance issues.
27. Jaguars- The Jaguars aren’t necessarily a bad team, they’ve just had a tough schedule. They have 3 losses to teams with a combined 9-3 record…and they did beat a Lions team that made the playoffs last year.
28. Packers- The Packers came out on fire blowing out the mighty…Bears 69-6. Since then? 0-3. Now their losses come from the Chiefs Vikings and Buccaneers. 2 of 3 were in the playoffs last year. They still face 4 playoff teams from last year and some other teams who were on the cusp. Are they the team that blew out the Bears or are they the team that lost 3 in a row…time will tell.
29. Falcons- Their only win came against the 0-4 Seahawks… They have a tough schedule this year…this may be one of their only few wins.
30. Chargers- The Chargers keep coming know matter how many times you knock them down. They have an unmeasurable drive to win…they just can’t win to save their season.
31. Seahawks- If you looked at the score you woulda thought they played a good team…but nope it was the 1-3 Falcons. The Seahawks are a disaster.
32. Broncos- I don’t want to beat a dead horse (get it…Broncos keep getting beat) but the Broncos are a mess…Teams are looking past the Broncos when they see them on the schedule.
NFL Power Rankings week 4
I was going to skip my week 4 power rankings but I’m OCD and don’t want the numbers to skip in this forum. I will get week 5 in tomorrow. I think.
Yay power rankings. Here they are.
1.Buccaneers- Mike Tyson once made a famous quote “everyone has a plan until you get punched in the mouth” and that’s just what the Bucs are showing those who think they have a plan to beat them. Especially with a top 3 offense.
2.Eagles- The Eagles have been absolutely lights out. They had a tough loss (3 points) to the Buccaneers but that’s exactly why they’re our #2 ranked team.
3.Rams- The Rams Defensive line is so good they made the Seahawks trade arguably the best WR in the league to try and stop them…not sure if it’ll work but will see. When asked about his teams gloating this week the coach stated “it ain’t bragging if you can back it up”.
4.Panthers- I usually don’t switch teams in the power rankings just because of 1 win but the Panthers beat the Colts so bad I heard someone scream “call the police”. The panthers have a top 10 defense so it’s no surprise they shut down the Colts.
5.Texans- Texans showed us that everything is bigger in Texas including the score. Sure the Chiefs kept things close…for awhile. But when things matter the Texans scores 24 in the 4th to embarrass the Chiefs.
6.Colts- The Colts traded a haul for DK and now have the #1 Offense in the NFL…and the 2 stars they gave away on defense? Well maybe they were what was stopping from the Colts from being as bad as they are on defense…how bad? They rank 30th on defense.
7.Steelers-how does someone jump 9 spots? By beating an elite team likes the Browns…a good team like the Bengals…and a old vet like the Jaguars. Also have the #1 ranked defense helps. If you’re not excited about the Steelers you’re not paying attention.
8.Patriots- The Patriots beat the Raiders soundly. Look for the to go 2-2 vs the Jets who they have seemed to win easily against the last couple years.
9.Chiefs- The Chiefs have a top 10 offense but a defense that hides better than a ninja. It’s early so they can correct their mistakes.
10.Browns- The Browns had stains running down their drawers after that loss. The Steel curtain closed on their show. They’re a tough team so look for them to put their drawers in the washer and reload next week against the Colts.
11.Cowboys- Heartbreakers and not in the good sense (if there is one). The Cowboys made us all believe they were the real deal and then they get whooped by the Rams. This is just one game but it was an important statement game and they let us down.
12.Jets- If division teams are like family then my I don’t know whether to celebrate the Jets win or call the police on them for domestic violence. The Jets might not be the best team but they sure bully the Dolphins.
13.Saints- A loss to the Bears is still a loss to the Bears. They’re defense is ranked #2 overall but that can’t mask a bad offense.
14.Lions- The Scored board operator earned his money in the 2nd Quarter of the Lions games. The lions lit up the scoreboard with 35 points in the 2nd quarter and never looked back in their blowout over the Broncos.
15.Cardinals- Welcome back to the win column. They beat a touch Ravens team and I expect a lot more from them.
16.Bills- The Bills were a below average team last year and they showed promise early this season…maybe too early. The Jaguars pulled their credit card and found out they were overdrawn. This might just be a hiccup but we have to ask ourselves…is this the same bad team as last year or was this a fluke loss?
17.Ravens- I never thought I would see the day the Ravens would fall this far. I just can’t justify their 0-3 record no matter how I spin it. Do I think the Ravens will miss the playoffs? Absolutely not. They just need to do something to show us they’re not letting their little brother call plays.
18.49ers- Forgetting about the hiccup this team has taken the league by storm. This team is exciting and I’m excited to see what they can do.
19.Titans- The Titans are 2-1 with Russel Wilson. I’m excited to see what they can do against a tough Steelers team.
20.Jaguars- They beat a tough (so far) Bills team. I look forward to watching Trevor Lawrence drop more dimes.
21.Dolphins- An amputee with no arms and legs could count on their limbs the amount of times the Dolphins beat the Jets…the answer is zero.
22.Raiders- some think they’re a myth. That they don’t actually exist. You can’t seem to get them to message you back. But the Patriots beat the hell out of that myth either way. Step it up.
23.Bears- They beat the Saints and the Vikings. Only one of those teams is good. I just can’t get behind the Bears right now after that week 1 beat down. If they win some more I’ll start believing.
24.Bengals- They have a lot of talent and I’m looking forward to them stepping up this year.
25.Washington Football Team- They are really good at beating bad teams. The Dolphins and Cowboys aren’t bad and they lost to them. Not saying they can’t win. Just saying they need to win against a good team for me to believe.
26.Vikings- They beat the Packers and everyone knows that’s the close as the Vikings will get to a Super Bowl.
27.Giants- Disappointed but I know they can do better.
28.Broncos- Not sure what they can do to fix their issues on both sides of the ball.
29.Packers- If they could play the Bears every week they would be the best team in the league.
30.Chargers- Still a nice guy. And that counts.
31.Falcons- The Falcons don’t have a win loss problem…they have a lack of talent problem.
32.Seahawks- I didn’t think they could get any worse…they proved me wrong.
NFL Power Rankings week 3
It’s still early and nothings guaranteed for teams. Some 0-2 teams may be in the playoffs while 2-0 teams may only win 5 games this year. Exciting times for every fan.
Let’s begin.
1.Buccaneers- A Sim loss does not count for Power Rankings.
2.Eagles- Eagles still flying high as they wipe the floor with the Giants.
3.Colts- Did someone say DK? Yes please. The Colts were dangerous before, but now they may be unstoppable. Some thought they gave up too much but it looks like they don’t feel that way.
4.Rams- the Rams unhorsed the AFC Champions and it wasn’t even close.
5.Texans- The Texans best a good Titans team. They rebounded from their loss last week. Will see what they can do against a tough Chiefs team this week.
6.Ravens- Oh how the mighty have fallen. Really though it’s only 2 games. Look for them to rebound.
7.Browns- The Browns got a sim win and a win against a winless team. But they are 2-0 so will start believing again.
8.Patriots- The Patriots lost a tough division game against the Bills. They can’t afford to lose 3 in a row look for them to rebound against the Raiders.
9.Panthers- Tough loss to Bucs week 1 and then a sim win week 2. Will see what they got this week.
10.Chiefs- 2-0 and moving into the top 10. The Chiefs have impressed me and had every teams fans smiling as they shut down the Packers.
11Saints- They beat the #1 team in the NFL…in a sim game. But at least they can say their cpu is better than theirs.
12.Cowboys- This team has a scary talented roster and they’re firing on all cylinders.
13.Dolphins- 2-0 and tied for top of the division screenshot this Dolphin fans because by week 8 we know where they’ll be.
14.Lions- well they didn’t lose to the Browns but their cpu did.
15.Bills- When they barely beat the Chargers we all laughed. When they beat the Patriots they got our attention.
16.Steelers- The Steelers will probably rank A lot higher next week if they win again. But last year they were a bottom 10 team and this year they’re 2-0 against teams with a combined 1-3 record. Don’t get me wrong I think they’re good. I just need to see them beat the Browns to show me they’re legit.
17.Cardinals- These birds are falling out of the sky. They need to figure it out. They’re in a tough division.
18.Jets- I expected more from them but we know they’ll get their first win next week.
19.Raiders- 2-0 baby. Who cares if it’s a sim win and a win against the bottom team in the NFL.
20.Titans- Bad loss to the Texans. They need to rebound against the Falcons.
21.Washington Football Team- losing to a good Cowboys and a decent Dolphins team isn’t the end of the world but they need to step up their game.
22.Bengals- The Bengals beat the Broncos and hopefully this leads to more wins. They play the Seahawks next week and They’re 0-2 and desperately in search of a win.
23.Packers- Packers we’re served humble pie by the Chiefs. Maybe it’s time for them to worry about practice instead talking about how they’re going to win it all.
24.Giants- With this roster I believe they can rebound. This was a team on the cusp of the playoffs last year with a late season collapse.
25.Jaguars- 2 tough losses. Jaguars have got to figure this out before they’re fans start cheering for the #1 pick.
26.Broncos- Broncos got destroyed by the Bengals. They’re still trying to find their identity. They play the Lions next week so it doesn’t get any easier for them.
27.Bears- The Bears decided they don’t wanna be embarrassed anymore. Solid win against a bad Vikings team.
28.Vikings- Same old Vikings.
29.Chargers- Who said nice guys finish last? At least not in our power rankings.
30.Seahawks- Wonder if there fans will start a hashtag rulerbreaker like deflate gate.
31.Falcons- No idea if they’re not good or just bad.
32.49ers- Unfortunately the 49ers were caught breaking the rules giving them an unfair advantage over their opponents. We had them ranked high this week but due to their rule breaking we don’t feel like it’s fair to rank them above users who follow the rules. I would like to say this one incident should not define the 49ers. He is active and seems like a good person.
NFL Power Rankings week 2
I just wanted to say thank you for reading my posts. I post these for fun and I want people to argue about this lol. I hope you’re as excited to read weekly power rankings as I am to write them.
Remember these were written before week 2 games were played. Without further delay here are your week 2 Power Rankings.
Let’s begin.
1. Buccaneers- when asked about all the haters in the league Bucs coach took a page out of famous goalie Patrick Roy "I can't really hear what the haters say, because I've got two Super Bowl rings plugging my ears."
2. Ravens- The Ravens might be able to beat the Raiders when he’s playing...but his cpu handled team can’t. This doesn’t mean anything Ravens still elite.
3. Eagles-The Eagles easily handled an elite Patriots team. The Eagles continue to prove why they deserve to be considered one of the best teams in the NFL
4. Colts- The Colts beat an elite Texans team soundly and continue there growth into one of the best teams in the league.
5. Texans- They lost week 1 to the Colts but the Colts are a top 3 team and I think they can bounce back and show the league how good they really are.
6. Patriots- The Patriots had a rough game. The Eagles came for blood and got it. However I see the Patriots bouncing back and showing why they’ve been relevant all these years.
7. Panthers- The Panthers played the Bucs tough...but it was never really close. Closer than the embarrassing playoff loss point wise but you never felt like the Bucs were worried. The Panthers are elite though and will bounce back.
8. Rams- The Rams welcomed the new Seahawks user into the league with a good ole fashion freshman beatdown.
9. Browns- Statement from Brows HC after beating the Jaguars. “ I was just laughing. I thought it was funny. They got excited, it's good. Sometimes you get your little brother excited when you're playing games and let him get the lead. Then you just come back and take it back."
10. Cardinals- The 49ers have a shifty D (literally) and they used it to beat the Cardinals like they stole something. I see them bouncing back.
11. Saints- The Saints looked slow coming out the gates. But once the second half started they showed the Vikings they’re above their weight class.
12. Chiefs- Chiefs came out swinging...and so did the Jets. This game was a slug fest and the Chiefs were the last team standing. The Chiefs know a lot of teams look past them and they’re out to prove they belong in the conversation with elite teams...just not yet.
13. Jets-The Jets took second place in a close game...yes that means they lost. But they played hard and that deserves at least an atta boy. Their schedule doesn’t get much easier. They play the Colts next week. Could be a 0-2 start for the Jets if they don’t come out playing their best.
14. Lions- The Lions cpu beat the Falcons cpu. I still think the Lions would have won but the Lions have a lot of hard work to do if they wanna be divisions winners. The Packers looked like they want the title.
15. Cowboys-The Cowboys looked like they might lose after seeing that first half. They were sluggish coming out the gate. But something kicked once they took the lease I’m the second half they never looked back.
16. Dolphins- The Dolphins we’re almost a playoff team last year. And they beat the Giants who were also almost playoff teams last year. So there’s that.
17. Raiders- They beat the ravens...in a Sim game. But hey it’s still a win.
18. 49ers- Well if this isn’t the Bucs ego without the rings then I don’t know who is. He is loud and proud and wants you to know it. Now he did beat the Cardinals and that’s something.
But he is new and so is his play style. Will see what happens later this season when people
learn his play style.
19. Packers- Wow. Everyone come here and read this. The Packers blew out the...hold on let
me check my notes...lol oh Nevermind it was just the bottom half Bears. Go back to what you were doing everyone. In all seriousness they get style points and should continue to make some noise.
20. Titans- The Titans traded for Russel Wilson and now we know why. To beat the..Broncos and throw lots of pics. Hopefully Russel gets it together but a win is a win and this could be a good season if they get it together.
21. Washington Football Team- They lost to the Cowboys who are a pretty good team. And the game was close. It’ll be interesting to see what they do next week.
22. Steelers- They embarrassed the Bengals. And since the Bengals are an average team I guess that makes them..above average?
23. Bengals- The Bengals got embarrassed but I’m ranking them here because I owe their dad money and I’m not allowed to rank them any lower. Seriously though this roster is great. They just gotta practice or not play drunk. I don’t know.
24. Giants- Just like in the movie Rudy I was chanting for the Giants after their last season late collapse. And what did it get me? Embarrassed. Just like the Dolphins embarrassed them. You can do better.
25. Bills- The Bills know the old saying. You don’t have to be the fastest person on earth when a bear attacks..you just have to be faster than the other guy. And that’s what they were a little better than a bad team.
26. Jaguars- I’m proud of the Jaguars like you would be proud of a fat kid who ran a marathon. Maybe he didn’t win..maybe he didn’t run the whole time...maybe he didn’t even finish... he’ll maybe he didn’t even race but just signed up. At least he tried.
27. Broncos- They lost a close game. They got the turnovers and just couldn’t do anything with it. The only thing bad about being a Broncos diehard fan is knowing tomorrow your team will still suck and you will still be disappointed.
28. Vikings- They played a tough Saints team and lost. Hell is I stepped into the ring with Mike Tyson and landed a few punches I’d be happy. Proud of you buddy.
29. Chargers- No one expects anything out of the Chargers. That’s why this loss wasn’t such a bad thing. You can’t be disappointed if you don’t have any expectations.
30. Seahawks- Has Been. The only thing entertaining about their loss was the coach upset they got scores on the last play. Sure it wasn’t the classy thing to do for the Rams. But if you don’t like them scoring...Stop them.
31. Falcons- only ranked here because the Bears let the Packers murder him.
32. Bears- Packers coach quoted Dave Chappell when asked why he ran the score up. “Why?
Fuck em that’s why!” And Bears fans were too drunk too understand what was going on.
NFL Power Rankings.
It’s that time of year again. New beginnings for every team. Every fan is now sure that their team is going to be hoisting the Lombardy trophy (as delirious as that may be).
We do have some new teams and the power rankings may get shaken up a bit…when they prove themselves.
I am going to be steady talking shit to the bottom half of the teams. But if I didn’t talk shit about them no one would talk about them at all. In all seriousness I’m laughing at them not with them so lighten up.
Let’s begin.
1.Buccaneers- Who else could it be but the Buccaneers? Back to back Super Bowl* wins. Yes that asterisk is on purpose. Unfortunately do to a glitch some elite teams were eliminated from the playoffs. I’m not saying they would have lost to any of these teams I’m just saying will never know. You still can’t put an asterisk by them when it comes to being the #1 team in this League though.
2.Ravens- Their game in the Super Bowl reminded me of the old man holding the fishing pole with a dollar at the end of it in those Geico commercial “almost had it”. The Ravens held the Patriots to a Field goal in the AFC championship though. They’re a tough team and with a few adjustments they may be holding the Lombardi trophy.
3.Eagles- you know what’s motivation for a top tier team? Getting glitches out the playoffs. The Eagles are coming in Hot. Prepare for the wrath and the always annoying fans with their “Fly Eagle Fly”.
4.Patriots- 21-3 loss in the AFC Championship will leave a sour taste in anyones mouth. The patriots have added a few pieces in the draft and are ready for revenge.
5.Texans- You know what a scorned woman and the Texans have in common? They’re vindictive and out to make someone pay. Just like the Eagles they were glitched out of the playoffs. The Texans are an elite team and have motivation to give everything they got.
6.Colts- The Colts were my dark horse. They’re no longer a dark horse. They’re a known commodity. That comes with ups and downs. Ups…they get the respect they deserve. Downs…teams are now prepared and will play them tougher.
7.Panthers- The Panthers are a good team..just not elite. Losing by 30 points in the playoffs to THEEEE Buccaneers showed the Panthers how far they have to go. But they are still in the conversation with the elite…just talked about last.
8.Browns- Not sure what happened in the playoffs but it was embarrassing. They may not have been trying but they need to step up their game. They’re better than they played.
9.Cardinals- One of my favorite high flying teams. Lots of promise..and disappointment. They lost in the NFC Championship game by 45 points. It was never close. If they can find some balance they will be a scary team.
10.Rams- Victims of the playoff Glitch. They deserved better than losing to the Lions in a Sim game. They have some things to work on…but with the addition of Aaron Rodgers I think they have a chance to go to the next level.
11.Saints- Saints spent time on the phone with the Lawyers advertising “have you been a victim of playoff glitches? Contact us now for a chance at attribute point compensation”. This was a good year to prove they belong in conversation with the greats…new year now. Show us.
12.Chiefs- Yes they were victimized by the playoff glitch…but on a list of teams people felt sorry for because they had a chance to win it all…the Chiefs weren’t on it. No one believed they would beat the Ravens. That’s their motivation. Prove your haters wrong. Attack this season.
13.Jets- yes you’ve heard this before. Glitch victim #16. But let’s be honest, the last time the Jets beat the Patriots…wait I don’t remember them beating them. But that doesn’t mean they can’t. The Jet had an extremely good draft and fans are excited. Win this Division Jets. Show us you’re contenders.
14. Lions- In 1930 the lions came into the NFL. They had many amazing fans who said their only dreams was for the Lions to win a Super Bowl…all of them died dreamless. Lions have more to prove than any other playoff team…and after all the years of disappointment for fans it’s time.
15.Giants- Close is only good if you’re talking about horse shoes or hand grenades. The Giants had a chance to make the playoffs and failed. It’s time Giants. Play smart and don’t wasters S.Barkley like the Lions waster B.Sanders.
16.Raiders- The Raiders are now in Las Vegas. What do the Raiders and Las Vegas Casinos have in common? They promise big wins and a fun time and leave you broke and depressed. They’re still in the top half of the league…for now.
17. Cowboys- Theres a quote from the movie “A Bronx Tale” that domes up the Cowboys perfectly… “The saddest thing in life is wasted talent”. The Cowboys have one of the most talented rosters in the NFL and they’re wasting it. They’re not bad…they just make bad decisions.
18.Dolphins- What do the the Dolphins relationship with the Patriots and Jets have in common with a domestic violence victim? They keep getting their ass beat and they can’t leave their relationship. The Dolphins are on the cusp…I just don’t know what they need to do to get over the hump.
19.Washington Football Team- Such a bland team right now. And that’s sad. They have talent on their team. With no picks in the 1st or 2nd rd they better hope they got what they need to carry their future.
20.Titans- This team has a lot to look forward to. They have a lot of talent on the team and just acquired Russel Wilson. He’s getting old but he will give them a boost for the next 3 years.
21.Bengals- What do you get when you have one of the best young Quarterbacks, Running Backs and Wide Receivers in the NFL? Well if you’re the Bengals you get a 7-10 season and disappointed fans. How disappointing? Like meeting a chick and bring her home only to find out that was toilet paper stuffed in a bra that got you excited.
22.Steelers- Remember when Manti Te'o said he had a girlfriend and then she didn’t exist? That’s like the Steelers. They said they had a defense and we found out it didn’t exist.
23.Jaguars- They have one of the best QB/WR combos in the league. They added some key pieces in the off-season. Can you please stop sucking now. I feel like someone needs to make a meme with the guy poking them with a stick saying “do something”.
24.Bears- I would tell you that their fans are upset but I don’t think any Bear fans are sober enough to realize their team sucks.
25.Bills- Josh Allen. Wasted talent. I’ve went over this before. They are in a tough division though. I guess.
26.Vikings- Their fans are so used to losing every year is the next year. But remember when we won a championship before the AFC and NFC merged. No one cares.
27.Broncos- They’re like Ninjas. No one even knows they’re there.
28.49ers- Cpu team last year. Allegedly 2 time super bowl winner (other leagues) this year.
29.Packers- When you have half the 1st rd draft picks are you allowed to be bad?
30.Seahawks- You know the Seahawks. They’re the old guy in the bar talking about how bad ass they used to be.
31.Falcons- With their roster I hope the new user is as good as the 49ers user claims to be.
32.Chargers- Hey at least their number 1 in draft picks.
Finally we’re at the playoffs! All that off-season preparation has been a success. Now you just have to win the big game.
Since I basically did a power ranking with the top 16 this is going to be my playoff prediction.
Good luck to all you warriors who made it this far. I wish you Good luck!!!
AFC wild card round
Texans vs Jets- I think the Jets are a great team, just not elite yet. The Texans on the other hand are Elite. Texans win by 14.
Patriots vs Colts- The Colts are my dark horse for this playoffs and I wish them the best. The problem is there’s been so much back and forth with the Buccaneers I think the Patriots are going to work extra hard to show him up. Patriots win by 10.
Chiefs Vs Ravens- Ravens have so many haters that I think they come in and blow the Chiefs out. Ravens by 21.
AFC Divisional round:
Browns vs Ravens- I think the Browns are Elite. I believe in them..just not Vs a pissed of Ravens team. Ravens win by 7.
Texans vs Patriots - 2 Elite teams facing off. But the Patriots are pissed off with all the trash talk by the Buccaneers to lose. Patriots by 7.
AFC Championship:
Patriots vs Ravens- The Ravens have beaten some Elite teams but that stops here. The Patriots take this one by 3.
NFC wild card round:
Eagles vs Panthers- The Eagles are what every team in the NFC wants to be…but I think they overlook a tough panthers team. Panthers win by 3.
Cardinals vs Saints- The Cardinals are a high scoring team. They have a scary offense. But they also turn the ball over too much. The Saints feast on Kyle Murray. Saints by 14.
Lions vs Rams- The Lions are the king of the North…and that’s it. The Rams and Aaron Donald give them more than they can handle. Rams win by 14.
NFC Divisional round:
Buccaneers vs Panthers- “The buck stops here” for Panthers playoff dreams. The #1 team in the NFL shows them why they’re #1. Buccaneers by 28.
Rams vs Saints- The Saints have a stout defense and play smart. But they don’t have the offense to score fast when they fall behind early. Rams by 10.
Buccaneers vs Rams- This game will give many Rams false hopes. They will start out good and realize they’re outmatched by the second half. Buccaneers by 21.
SUPER BOWL
Buccaneers Vs Patriots- The Patriots have been relevant since I started playing Madden in 2015. They’re a smart strategic team. I believe the Buccaneers are a better team…but I believe they’re not going to take this game as serious as the Patriots. I think they overlook the Patriots and regret it. Patriots win by 3.
As we head into the post season of Madden 22 season 2… I want to congratulate the 14 warriors who finished top amongst 32 other men. This is a game. Yes. But this is also a competition. Some may take it more seriously than other, but they can’t take away your victories. Whether you were prepared or not this season happened. And to those of you who were victorious come the spoils of war. I look forward to watching every playoff game. Especially when the NFL is done and this is all we have. So take pride in your team and make everyone else regret you showed up on their schedule. Cheers boys.
And to Nunes and the other GMs. Thank you for letting me be apart of the league again. I forgot how much fun this can be.
Pretender or Contender?
Which team is real or fake? I am going to discuss who I believe to be the real players in this playoff race. I really want everyone to be contenders,,,but where would the fun of that be?
Let’s begin…
Contenders
1. Buccaneers- when you got a lot of haters you’re doing well…When you’re on top people wanna see you fail. No, I’m not rhyming I’m just stating facts. The buccaneers aren’t just the #1 contenders in the NFC they are #1 in the NFL.
2. Eagles- a lot of people thought we were hating on the Eagles for placing them #4 in our power rankings. Well we gotta put them somewhere. The eagles belong in the elite category. They have a scary good defense and can put up a lot of points. They’re my NFC pick to face the Buccaneers in the NFC Championship game.
3. Cardinals- Yes I know what you’re thinking, I hated all over the Cardinals in my power rankings. But that wasn’t hate, it was facts. They have an offense that can score anywhere on the field…but they also turn the ball over almost as much as any team in the NFL. With that being said they take chances. And there’s a good chance if they limit mistakes they can make noise.
4. Saints- Top 10 offense and defense in the NFC. Beat 3 really good playoff teams (blowing out the Cardinals). Play in one of the toughest divisions in the NFL. This team of they play smart has a chance.
Pretenders:
5. Lions- They won there division…they did great in the red zone…they’re too 5 in +turnovers….but they did all this in one of the worst divisions in the league. They only have 2 wins against playoff teams. I think the elite teams are going to show them what a small pond they were in.
6. Rams- This was a tough one. They’re 3-4 vs playoff teams but they got blown out by the Bucs, Panthers and Cardinals. 3 teams they might have to face. Let’s not forget they lost to a bad 49ers team who is 4-13.
This last bit is going to be for the Panthers and Giants. If the Giants win and Panthers lose they’re in.
The Giants are pretenders. They only have 2 wins vs teams with winning records. They had a chance to secure a playoff spot by winning out but they lost to the Cardinals.
The Panthers are both or in between. I watched them throw 2 interceptions to the Bucs when they had guys wide open in the middle of the field. And the fact they even have to win out to get in shows they don’t even know their identity.
Pretender or Contender?
Which team is real or fake? I am going to discuss who I believe to be the real players in this playoff race. I really want everyone to be contenders,,,but where would the fun of that be?
Let’s begin…
CONTENDERS!!!
1. Browns- Before I get called old or made fun of…yes I’m going to reference some past maddens. The Browns have always been in the mix for the Championship. Whether it was for illegal fake punts or not I cannot say. The Browns have a high powered offense and they always seem to be in the game…playoff team or not they hang right in,
2. Patriots- The Patriots have been relevant for as long as clean water has been relevant. They are strategist and always are a threat to any teams dream of hoisting the Lombardy trophy. If you held a gun to my head these are the true AFC contenders,
3. Ravens- What can I say? This team has held its own with the best in the league. If you can’t find a player open just run back 20 yards and chuck it deep. Really though this team has beaten the Bucs, Browns, Colts, and lost a close one to the Pats…they are not a team anyone is looking forward to playing.
4. Colts-The Colts have beaten the elite Texans twice…and barely lost to the elite Pats and Eagles. They are my dark horse for this playoff…I believe that they can beat the Texans for the 3rd straight time in a row (would be only 18th time in NFL history) and make some noise.
Pretenders!!!
1. Texans- The Texans are elite, don’t get me wrong. It’s just they can’t seem to beat the Colts (who are under them) this season. Who are they projected to play in the first round? The Colts. Yes, Yes…I’ve heard it all. They barely loss…But a loss is a loss…whether by 3 points or 20. I may have to apologize to the elite Texans, but for now I don’t think they can get it done against the Colts.
2. Chiefs- The Chiefs play in one of the worst divisions in the league and haven’t had any impressive wins. I want to believe in the Chiefs but they haven’t showed me how. They might make me eat crow but this team looks like and early exit from what they’ve shown me so far…but please Chiefs (I’m a huge fan) prove me wrong,
3. Jets- The Jets are a team I want to believe in. They have a young stud in Z. Wilson who has a sorority leader presence we all want to belong to. The problem is I don’t know if the Jets believe in themselves. The Jets are in a tough division. It’s true. BUT.. they have to prove to me they are more then the little brother to a famous person. Get a win Jets. Make me believe.
