NFL Power Rankings Week 6 This was the most difficult Power Ranking I’ve had to do so far. I’m moving away from what teams did last year and moving towards what they have shown us this year. I know for some teams it can seem unfair. Maybe you have more wins than a team ahead of you but you haven’t played any tough teams. You played the games on your schedule and won. Just so you know as the season develops this will correct itself. But I try not to put someone ahead of someone else simply because they won 3 games against bad teams while someone only won 2 but played all great teams. I had to use daddyleagues for this one and didn’t have as much in depth info as when I’m on my PS5. I did however go through each teams individual schedule when ranking them. I spent 4 hours writing this today (I write when I have time to kill while working on other projects) and I hope you enjoy. 1. Buccaneers- There’s not much you need to say when a team keeps dominating every team they play (with the exception of the Eagles). Look for the Bucs to continue their onslaught against the Vikings next week. 2. Eagles- The only smudge on the Eagles is an OT loss to the Bucs. The Eagles are knocking on the door though with an offense that has whopping 48 points per game average...that’s good enough for #1 in the league. 3. Rams- The Rams are taking care of business week in and week out. I see them stepping out of the shadows of the Bucs and showing everyone why they remain undefeated. Look for them to best a tough Cardinals team.
5. Panthers- The Panthers almost lost a close one to a bad Falcons team who’s only win is against a terrible Seahawks team...but a win is a win and as long as the Panthers keep their #1 ranked defense (in points per game) I can see them rising high. 6. Browns- The Browns threw 3 Interceptions Vs the Texans and they weren’t able to recover from their mistakes. I see the Browns bouncing back and welcoming the new 49ers coach to the league by giving him an L. 7. Colts- They got a rebound win against the Jaguars after a bad loss last week. They’re offense is firing on all cylinders but their defense looks bad. Its early and they’ve played some tough teams. I think they’re going to be just fine. 8. Cardinals- I know Cards fans hearts were sinking after starting 0-2, with one being a blowout. It appears the Cardinals are back to their old high flying ways. They have won 3 in a row with that #1 passing attack (per game average) and their defense “bend, don’t break” strategy. 9. Jets- Normally blowing out the Ravens would get you an award and a huge power ranking boost but lately the Ravens have fell of. But you can’t deny the Jets ability to score when they’re averaging 47 points a game. 10. Patriots- Last week they lost by 1 score to a hot Jets team and this week they blow out the Cowboys. The Patriots are finding their grove and look for that to continue next week against the WFT who’s only 2 wins have been against winless teams. 11. Chiefs- The Chiefs get their 2 loss of the season by the hands of the Eagles. Their other loss was to the Texans. Both of them elite teams, but both were double digit losses. If you want to win in January you have to beat the elite teams. 12. 49ers- I think this might be a bit too high for them. There 3 wins have come against teams with a combined 4-12 record...but their losses have been only by 1 score to a high powered Dallas team and one of the most elite teams in the league THE Rams. Next week Vs the Browns is a prove it game. 13. Cowboys- The Cowboys missed the playoffs by 1 game last year...and it’s going to be close this year too if they don’t step it up. A tough loss to the Patriots this week doesn’t doom their season...but the way their team has been playing will if it continues. 14. Raider- Yes they beat the Ravens in week 1...but that team doesn’t appear to be the same as last years. The teams the Raiders have wins against have a combined record of 3-17. They have to prove themselves against the Chiefs this week. 15. Steelers- After starting out hot and taking the league by storm, the Steelers have lost their last 2 games. It’s not getting any easier with the Texans up next week before their bye week. 16. Dolphins- Yes they’re 4-1 and yes that should matter. But the teams they’re beating (with the exception of the Giants) aren’t good teams. Next week should show us a little more of what the Dolphins can do. The Bengals aren’t elite but they won’t just roll over either. 17. Lions- They had a chance to show the world they’re a dominate team by beating the Cardinals...and failed to do so. They did however remind Vikings fans they still own them. 18. Bengals- The Bengals got their first noteworthy win of the season against the Titans. Their other 2 wins were against the 0-5 Broncos and 0-5 Seahawks. Let’s see if they can get a second noteworthy win against decent Dolphins team. 19. Titans- They beat the Steelers and that great defense and then lost a shootout to the Bengals in week 5. If they can get their defense on board they can bounce back. This bye came at a perfect time for them to figure that out. 20. Giants- Don’t let the Giants 1-4 record fool you, this team can ball out. They’re 4 losses come from teams with a combined record of 14-6. The rest of their schedule is not as brutal and I still believe they’re a playoff team.
22. Washington Football Team- Top 10 offense and bottom half defense describes the WFT. Their on wins are against winless teams. It’s not like they’re getting blown out in games. They’re in every game they play. Great teams win these games. Good teams win half them and bad teams lose them all. I think they’re a good team and will win half of these games in the future. They have 7 tough games left on the schedule so that’s 3.5 wins. So if they can win the 4 games against bad teams we will see them in the wildcard. 23. Vikings- Offense is below average. Defense is below average. They have the talent and we’ve seen some flashes but the blowout by the Lions shows me they’re not ready. 24. Ravens- Oh how the might have fallen. The Ravens were supposed to be the team who unseats the Buccaneers. I’m not sure if the Coach is allowing kids to play his team like a make a wish type deal...but whatever is going on it needs to stop. Their fans deserve better. 25. Bills- After starting 2-0 they dropped their last 3. They have a solid defense except when it comes to scoring points. I don’t know if that’s too many turnovers in the red zone but they need to fix it now. 26. Jaguars- One of the best run teams in the NFL which is good because whenever the opponents offense has the ball they usually score. If they can shore up this defense I think this team can surprise you. 27. Packers- Luckily for the Packers their schedule gets easier as the season goes. They’re remaining opponents have a combined record of 28-42. The packers have one of the easiest schedules out of any team with a strength of schedule rating of -81.677. 28. Saints- If it wasn’t for a sim sim they would 1-4 right now. Having a good defense doesn’t matter when you can’t score points. 29. Falcons- They have top 10 defense and almost beat the Panthers. Yet their only win comes against the 0-5 Seahawks.
31. Seahawks- They have the worse defense in the NFL and an average to below average offense. I did see some fight in them against the WFT so maybe the defensive pieces they got are paying off. 32. Broncos- The worst offense in the NFL paired up with a average defense. This is the Broncos. Last edited by Show_Time_651 (1644177233) |
