Power Rankings

ESPN Power Rankings

Well its been awhile since our last power rankings. I took on more work and now I’m working 60-70 hours a week compared to 40 hours a week when this league started. This power ranking is generic and I’ll do a better one later this week. I will probably only be dropping one a week or two if I get time. Writing this power ranking was a bit like being a wingman to your best friend when the girl fell down the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. But sometimes you got to chug the Captain Morgan, put the beer goggles on and man up.

  1. Houston Texans (6-0) – The Texans are on fire this year. He has won a few tough low scoring games and beaten some of the best teams in the league. The Texans seem like the team to beat in the AFC. Last Week’s Rank
  2. Green Bay Packers (6-0) – Green Bay would probably be number 1 if he didn’t have so many games against the cpu…None of which are his fault. He has won every game that he has played. I think the Packers will continue to win and end the season on top. Last Week’s Rank
  3. Minnesota Vikings (4-1) – The Vikings have lucked their way to 4-1 and that’s thanks to 2 SIM wins. Although I think the Vikings can be just as good as any team…they just need to play their games to prove it.  Last Week’s Rank
  4. Atlanta Falcons (5-2) – The Falcons look good on offense and when you got Julio Jones that’s to be expected. I’m really impressed by what I’ve seen from the Falcons thus far. They have a tough defense and an Offense that can literally score from anywhere on the field. Last Week’s Rank
  5. Indianapolis Colts (4-2) – The Colts aren’t the most impressive team ive ever seen but they have “IT”. And what I mean is when the time comes to buckle down and lpay hard…they do. That game against the Titans has to be one of the best games of the year.  Week’s Rank
  6. New Orleans Saints (4-2) – The Saints are a team that are going to make noise all year long. You better believe when playoffs come they will be fighting for one of those bye spots.  Last Week’s Rank
  7. Oakland Raiders (4-2) – The Raiders are looking like they were at the beginning of the season. I don’t think will be seeing any team blows these guys out again this year. Last Week’s Rank
  8. Detroit Lions (4-2) – The Lions are in one of the toughest divisions in the league. They fought hard against the Vikings until they pulled th…I mean the internet broke. (just kidding lions). This team can hang with the best and I expect a fight for the division lead by the end of the season.  Last Week’s Rank
  9. Denver Broncos (4-2) – Welcome to the Laggy city of Denver…or is it windy city…I forget. Broncos got a tough Offense and Defense. I may start a gofundme to help their internet connection though. Last Week’s Rank
  10. New England Patriots (3-2) – Patriots were 3-0 I think…Even if they lost a couple games, their still a top 10 team. I can’t imagine an AFC playoff race that doesn’t involve the Patriots. Last Week’s Rank
  11. Miami Dolphins (3-2) The Dolphins are hanging around In a tough division. I expect to see the Bills, Pats, and Patriots fight it out to the bitter end. Let’s hope the Captain is worth the trade. So far the dolphins are looking like the winners of that trade.  Last Week’s Rank
  12. Philadelphia Eagles (4-3) Here’s a team that wants to win. They made the most of their trades and solidified their defense. Now they just need to focus on getting that offense running well. Last Week’s Rank
  13. Baltimore Ravens (4-3) – The Ravens have come a long way from starting 0-2 and looking like they might have a rough seasons. I think we will continue to see this team grow and become a top team in the AFC. Last Week’s Rank
  14. Buffalo Bills (4-3) – Bills…Trying to think of any games I watched and none come to mind…sorry, work you know. The Bills are technically in first in their division and that can’t be easy with the Patriots and Dolphins. Hopefully this team can give its fans a reason to cheer this year, So far, so good.  Last Week’s Rank
  15. San Diego Chargers (4-3) – Chargers are one of those teams that is on the cusp of greatness. They hang with the best teams and beat the teams they should. I expect them to continue to improve and make a playoff push.  Last Week’s Rank
  16. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-3) – The Jaguars are still one of my favorite teams even if they have hit some speed bumps. Time to get back to it Jaguars. Climb the leader boards and show everyone why we ranked you high when the season started! Last Week’s Rank
  17. Carolina Panthers (3-3) – The Panthers new owner is definitely going to make some noise in the NFC. Especially with the Talent on his roster. I expect big things from ya. Last Week’s Rank
  18. Cleveland Browns (3-3) – The Browns need to step it up. They’re 3-3 and these next few games will have a huge impact on their season. Let’s hope their fans don’t have to wear brown bags over their heads by the end of the season. Last Week’s Rank
  19. New York Giants (3-3) – The Giants may seem like an average team, but I know better.  Once they get their scheduling issues taken care of they will rise high. Last Week’s Rank
  20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-3) – The Bucs have made a lot of moves this season and so far it doesn’t look like it’s helping much. It is still early, so will give them a break for now.  Last Week’s Rank
  21. Pittsburgh Steelers (3-3) – I though the Steelers were bringing back the steel curtain and so far it doesn’t look like it. There’s still lots of time left to get this team over the hump. Steelers nation is waiting. Last Week’s Rank
  22. Seattle Seahawks (3-4) –The 12th man has gotten really quiet so far. And to make matters worse someone in PR though it would be a good idea to give out Shaun Alexander bobble heads. Fans were confused since they have no clue who he is. Last Week’s Rank
  23. Dallas Cowboys (2-3) – The Cowboys looked like they might relive the glory days…and then they woke up. The Cowboys need to get that run game going. Lets go Beau. Last Week’s Rank
  24. New York Jets (2-3) – Does this guy even play anymore? Last Week’s Rank
  25. Kansas City Chiefs (2-4) – This guy plays but I never see him anymore. If he doesn’t make the playoffs I would be surprised. Last Week’s Rank
  26. Arizona Cardinals (2-5) – Disappointment comes to mind. Let’s get a feel good story going. You know the one where you don’t suck.  Last Week’s Rank
  27. Washington Redskins (2-5) – If he could just but the bong down for one minute he might realize throwing a pick 6 doesn’t count as a touchdown for his team. Less rainbow 6, more Madden practice for you ser.  Last Week’s Rank
  28. Los Angeles Rams (1-4) – Not sure who this guy is or if he even exists. If he doesn’t exist….does that mean I’m talking to myself? Last Week’s Rank
  29. Cincinnati Bengals (1-5) Last Week’s Rank
  30. San Francisco 49ers (1-6) – ….1-6… Since Chris Carter got fired maybe he can be my “C’mon man” guy. But seriously C’mon…1-6?Last Week’s Rank
  31. Chicago Bears (0-6) – If hes still in the league I’m impressed. The only guy I know who has one of the best WR core in the game and still complains about them… Last Week’s Rank
  32. Tennessee Titans (0-6) – hmmm. I like your uniforms. They always look so clean and fresh, like it picture day every time you put them on. Last Week’s Rank

Week 4 Power Rankings

ESPN Power Rankings

This was a much better week, only 2 games got SIMMED. I am loving how all these teams are starting to come together. It’s exciting not knowing who is a power house and who might be a future Super Bowl winner.

REMEMBER TO SCHEDULE YOUR GAMES AHEAD OF TIME. AS SOON AS YOUR CURRENT GAME IS OVER MESSAGE YOUR NEXT OPPONENT.

  1. New England Patriots (3-0) – The Patriots made a statement and Tom Brady was a big part of that. Brady threw for over 400 yards and 3 TD’s and showed the NFL that they are the team to beat. Brady’s game kind of overshadows a defense that only allowed 10 points to a potent Jaguars offense. Brady looks like he’s ready to put this team on his back and carry them to the playoffs…. as usual. NEXT OPPONENT- BYE. Last Week’s Rank  5
  2. Green Bay Packers (3-0) – Auto-win. The Packers are a good team. They have just had bad luck when playing users. If they’re not disconnecting, they just happen to quit playing madden right before they face the Packers. Hopefully this streak does not continue and we can see what the Packers are capable of. NEXT OPPONENT- 49ers. Last Week’s Rank  3
  3. Minnesota Vikings (3-0) – The Vikings defense is on fire this season. They have been very opportunistic and made quarterbacks pay for bad throws. Tray Waynes and Harrison Smith both had 2 INT’s and a pick 6. Stephon Diggs and Kyle Rudolph both went over 100 yards receiving and each had a TD. ALL DAY didn’t do much only getting 32 yards on 14 carries. That might explain why they moved the ball so well in the air.  NEXT OPPOPNENT- Broncos.  Last Week’s Rank  4
  4. Houston Texans (3-0) – The Texans looked good today. They didn’t have much of a running game, but they didn’t need it. Especially with Brian Hoyer looking like a super star putting up over 300 yards and 4 TD’s. It also helps when your defense picks the opposing QB off 4 times. NEXT OPPONENT- Buccaneers. Last Week’s Rank  22
  5. New Orleans Saints (2-1) – The Saints lost a tough one to the Panthers. It was a defensive struggle and ended on a deep pass that put the Panthers up 24-21 late in the fourth. I really think the Saints missed out on some opportunities early I this game. There were a few passes that could have been easily picked but were dropped. This will be an interesting matchup to see later in the season as these two have no love for each other.  NEXT OPPONENT- Cowboys. Last Week’s Rank  6
  6. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-1) – The Jaguars lost a tough one against the Patriots. They were unable to get the run game going and Blake Bortles just didn’t look like himself. Hopefully they can shake it off and get back on track against the Colts next week. NEXT OPPONENT- Colts. Last Week’s Rank 2
  7. Cleveland Browns (2-1) – I’m impressed with how well rounded the Browns were in beating the Raiders. Not only because it was a blow out…just that they clicked on all cylinders offensively and defensively. Johnny Football looked good putting up 341 yards and 2 TD’s. Duke Johnson Jr got 90 yards and a TD. If there offense didn’t score any points they still would have scored as many TD’s as the Raiders.  NEXT OPPONENT- Chargers. Last Week’s Rank  23
  8. Oakland Raiders (2-1) – Oh, how the mighty have fallen. The Raiders finally learned what it was like to be on the wrong side of a blowout. It’s hard to win when you throw 5 INT’s and 2 of them are returned for TD’s. They may be in luck as they face a Bears team next week that can’t seem to catch anything, including Derek Carr’s errant passes. NEXT OPPONENT- Bears. Last Week’s Rank 1
  9. Arizona Cardinals (2-1) – The Cardinals didn’t look good on any level against the 49ers. They have to find a way to mix up coverages so they don’t get killed on the blitz. I think the Cardinals will recover from this.  NEXT OPPONENT- Rams. Last Week’s Rank  14
  10. Philadelphia Eagles (2-1) The Eagles looked amazing beating this week. Sam Bradford did what he needed to do and helped this team take advantage of the turnovers. It’s got to be nice having a defense get you the ball back 5 times in one game. NEXT OPONENT- Redskins. Last Week’s Rank  11
  11. Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1) – Big Ben is looking like a MVP candidate right now, throwing for 480 yards and 4 TD’s. And the receiving core is on fire. Martavious Bryant overshadowed AB getting 207 yards receiving and 2 TD’s. The Steelers hope to have some of this magic next week against their division opponents, the Ravens. NEXT OPPONENT- Rams. Last Week’s Rank  24
  12. Atlanta Falcons (2-1) – This was an ugly shootout that could have ended with either team winning. The Falcons just happened to be the slightly better team today. A win is a win but throwing 4 INT’s is not acceptable and will not yield similar results in the future.  NEXT OPPONENT- Texans. Last Week’s Rank  16
  13. Denver Broncos (2-1) – Brock looked good throwing for over 400 yards and 4 TD’s in this shootout victory over the Lions. Also their run game looked good racking up over 100 yards. They face a tough opponent next week in the Vikings. NEXT OPPONENT- Vikings. Last Week’s Rank  13
  14. New York Giants (1-2) – Got a loss in a straight SIM against the Redskins. I still see the Giants making the playoffs this year, NEXT OPPONENT- Bills.   Last Week’s Rank 8
  15. Los Angeles Rams (1-2) – The Rams were able to get a turnover, but weren’t able to capitalize on all there scoring chances. Foles just isn’t the answer and that defense needs to step it up. Luckily they have a stout running back in Todd Gurley. NEXT OPPONENT- Cardinals.  Last Week’s Rank  6
  16. Buffalo Bills (2-1) – The Bills looked good and blew out their division rivals. They pounded the ball with duel running back threats. Tyrod Taylor was near perfect throwing for over 300 yards and 3 TD’s. Hopefully the bills can keep this pace up because it’s going to be a tight division race. NEXT OPPONENT- Giants. Last Week’s Rank  15
  17. Indianapolis Colts (2-1) – It isn’t often that you lose the turnover battle with a -4 and still win. The Colts fought hard to overcome stupid mistakes and came away with the close win. I hope Andrew Luck buys that defense some steak dinners for making up for his mistakes. I guarantee the Jaguars won’t be so forgiving next week. NEXT OPPONENT- Jaguars. Week’s Rank  17
  18. Detroit Lions (1-2) – The Lions Lost a shootout to the Broncos. Stafford actual looked good throwing for 415 yards and 4 TD’s…and 2 INT’s. Their defense has got to step it up and help this offense more than they have. NEXT OPPONENT- Seahawks. Last Week’s Rank  9
  19. Dallas Cowboys (1-2) – The Cowboys lost an ugly shootout they might have been able to win if they could have made 1 less mistake. Hopefully they can get this problem under control. They face a tough Saints team next week. NEXT OPPONENT- Saints. Last Week’s Rank  10
  20. San Diego Chargers (1-2) – It’s hard to win when you throw 5 picks and 2 of them are returned for touchdowns. BUT if you take away those 5 picks they really didn’t have a bad game. They got after Bridgewater sacking him 4 times and more hurries than that. They rushed for 100 yards and threw for 300. Hopefully Rivers can fix his turnover issue and the Chargers can be the team we think they are. NEXT OPPONENT- Browns.  Last Week’s Rank  15
  21. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-2) – I don’t know what to say. This was an ugly game for the Bucs. You don’t throw 4 INT’s and win a game very often. The Bucs were no exception. They had their asses handed to them and it wasn’t even close. The Texans took advantage of the turnovers and made them pay.  NEXT OPPONENT- Panthers. Last Week’s Rank  13
  22. Seattle Seahawks (1-2) – The new Owner for the Seahawks wasted no time flexing his muscles against the Bears. The Hawks gained over 500 yards on offense. Marshawn Lynch was 8 yards away from having a 100 yard game. Rawls had over a 100 and Wilson threw for over 300 and 4 TD’s. Will be watching the Seahawks with interest. We like the energy we’ve seen from this user.   NEXT OPPONENT- Lions. Last Week’s Rank  27
  23. Miami Dolphins (1-2) The Dolphins gave up on their run game early and it didn’t work out so well for them. Their passing game was terrible and their defense couldn’t stop a potent Bills offense. They need to figure out what’s going wrong and fix it. NEXT OPPONENT- Jets. Last Week’s Rank  18
  24. San Francisco 49ers (1-2) – The 49ers beat the Cardinals and still managed to find a way to complain. And after some childish acts was removed from the league. THE NEW OWNER SEEMS TO BE MUCH BETTER. NEXT OPPONENT- Packers. Last Week’s Rank  32
  25. Baltimore Ravens (1-2) – The Ravens gave the new Bengals owner a rude welcoming to the league blowing him out 52-36. The Ravens usual mindless throw deep tactic seemed to pay off for them. Or maybe it is because they got their run game going and it looked respectable. Let’s see what the Ravens can do next week in a tough divisional matchup. NEXT OPPONENT- Steelers. Last Week’s Rank  26
  26. Kansas City Chiefs (1-2) – The Chiefs looked good last week beating the Broncos. Then he just disappeared off the face of the earth. Auto-loss. NEXT OPPONENT- Bengals. Last Week’s Rank  12
  27. New York Jets (1-2) –Ryan Fitzpatrick had threw for 262 yards and 3 TD’s…AND 5 INT’s. So yeah makes the first part about 3 TD’s not sound so good. When you give the ball away that much, you’re going to lose. Especially to a potent Eagles team. Hopefully Fitzpatrick can repeat those number minus the picks and get a win next week. NEXT OPPONENT- Dolphins. Last Week’s Rank  20
  28. Carolina Panthers (1-2) – The Panthers were able to overcome some early troubles and win a tight one over the Saints. It looked grim late in the fourth, 3rd and 22 on their own 48 yards line…then they got it after a few shenanigans and ended up throwing the winning TD.  NEXT OPPONENT- Buccaneers. Last Week’s Rank  27
  29. Washington Redskins (2-1) – Redskins got the win in a straight SIM against the Giants.  NEXT OPPONENT- Giants Last Week’s Rank  25
  30. Chicago Bears (0-3) – The Bears continue to struggle. They’re not just losing, they’re getting blown out. They have completely abandoned Jay Cutler and David Fales isn’t the answer. Hopefully they can make a trade or do something to fix this terrible situation they’re in. Their schedule isn’t getting any easier with the Raiders up next. NEXT OPPONENT- Raiders.  Last Week’s Rank  28
  31. Tennessee Titans (0-3) – If you look at the stats on paper there’s no way the Titans should have lost this game. +4 in the turnover battle…and yet their offense can’t help them out. Late in the fourth the defense picked it off on the 3 yard line, but the offense went 3 and out and the Colts capitalized. They need to take this bye week and get their offense working out. NEXT OPPONENT- BYE. Last Week’s Rank 29
  32. Cincinnati Bengals (0-3) – Welcome to the NFL Bengals, courtesy of the Ravens. Let’s hope they can get the run game going and have a balanced offense in the future or maybe not throw 3 INT’s. The Bengals are in trouble and he just joined the league. If he can’t string together a few wins his season might be over faster than he would like. NEXT OPPONENT- Chiefs. Last Week’s Rank  31

Week 3 Power Rankings

ESPN Power Rankings

I feel like too many games got Simmed this week. You should be scheduling your games as soon as possible. You know when the advance dates are and you know what weeks you’re playing your opponents. Technically you could schedule 3-4 games in advance since you know the dates. DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE DAY OF TO SCHEDULE YOUR GAME.

Without further ado, here is this week’s power rankings.

  1. Oakland Raiders (2-0) – Ever have that feeling of déjà vu? I did watching the Raiders blow out the Ravens. Felt like the Bengals all over again. The Raiders are looking like a super bowl contender. Now it’s early in the year and we don’t know how good the Ravens or Bengals are…but scoring 50 points against any opponent is tough. Let’s see what they can do against a 1-1 Browns team that has yet to face a user for a full game (first game was against CPU and second game the opponent disconnected at halftime). NEXT OPPONENT- Browns. Last Week’s Rank 1
  2. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-0) – Jaguars continue to impress us. They beat the Dolphins soundly and Blake Bortles had another amazing game. They are one of my new favorite teams. I look forward to watching the Jaguars progress this season. They face their biggest test coming up against the 2-0 patriots. NEXT OPPONENT- Patriots. Last Week’s Rank 2
  3. Green Bay Packers (2-0) – The Packers were having an impressive game when the Seahawks (owner has been removed) got 3 delay of game penalties which ended the game. He receives the auto-win and will prepare for a tough Chiefs team.  NEXT OPPONENT- Chiefs. Last Week’s Rank  4
  4. Minnesota Vikings (2-0) – I don’t know how to judge the game against the Lions. The Vikings had 6 takeaways and 1 giveaway. That’s a +5 in the turnover and yet they only won by 21 points. 7 of those points was from a pick 6 by Brandon Watts that put the game out of reach for the Lions. The Offense needs to pick it up. AP can’t do it all by himself even if he thinks so.  NEXT OPPOPNENT- Chargers.  Last Week’s Rank  7
  5. New England Patriots (2-0) – The Patriots blew out a Bills team that looked like they came unprepared. As of all teams right now it’s hard to judge the Patriots wins. I think this next game against the Jaguars is going to tell us a lot about the Patriots. Still, when I look at the teams I the AFC, the Patriots look to be one of the power houses. NEXT OPPONENT- Jaguars. Last Week’s Rank  5
  6. New Orleans Saints (2-0) – Drew Brees threw 3 INT’s and they still managed to win. That’s what’s nice about having a sout defense, they can make up for your mistakes. It also helps that Drew Brees shook it off and threw for 325 yards and 1 TD. NEXT OPPONENT- Panthers. Last Week’s Rank  8
  7. Los Angeles Rams (1-1) – Scheduling conflicting kept the Rams from playing the Redskins. The Rams are still a top 10 team and will be seeing some amazing things from them this season. NEXT OPPONENT- Steelers.  Last Week’s Rank  6
  8. New York Giants (1-1) – Game against the Giants got simmed due to connections issues. They tried twice and one game Falcons were up 14-0 and then the Giants were up 14-0 the next one. Expect big things from both teams this year. NEXT OPPONENT- Redskins.   Last Week’s Rank 3
  9. Detroit Lions (1-1) – I usually don’t bump teams up in the power rankings when they lose…This is an exception to the rule. Yes the Lions got shut out and yes they had 6 turnovers. BUT they only lost by 21 points and 7 of those points were from a pick 6. That defense was put in a lot of bad situations and only allowed 14 points. If they can get that run gaming going this is going to be a dangerous team. NEXT OPPONENT- Broncos. Last Week’s Rank  11
  10. Dallas Cowboys (1-1) – This game looked like a blowout until the Eagles mounted a second half comeback that fell short. Cowboys had 3 takeaways and zero turnovers. Tony Romo looked good throwing for 243 yards and a pair of TD’s. They need a Running Back who can take advantage of this Amazing Offensive line. Robert Turbin only managed 70 yards on 22 carries. NEXT OPPONENT- Falcons. Last Week’s Rank  20
  11. Philadelphia Eagles (1-1) The Eagles had a tough loss against the Cowboys. It looked like they might come back in the second half, but the turnovers were just too much for them to recover. Demarco Murray looked good getting 5.2 yards a carry, but they fell behind too early to utilize him properly. Expect the Eagles to rebound from this loss and get back on track next week.   NEXT OPONENT- Jets. Last Week’s Rank  9
  12. Kansas City Chiefs (1-1) – The Chiefs were up 19-7 at halftime and almost gave up the game. They managed to hold on and won 25-22. Chiefs had one more takeaway and that’s wht it came down to…one possession. Alex Smith looked good throwing for 314 yards, 3TD’s, 0 INT’s. BUT there run game looked terrible and without Jamal Charles for the next 2 weeks it’s not going to get any easier. NEXT OPPONENT- Packers. Last Week’s Rank  26
  13. Denver Broncos (1-1) – The Broncos really didn’t have a bad game. Brock Osweiler threw for 367 yards and 3 TD’s…but he also threw a pick and fumbled the ball. In this league it’s hard to win when you turn the ball over more than the other team. They made a hell of a comeback attempt and I’m looking forward to seeing what they can do this season. NEXT OPPONENT- Lions. Last Week’s Rank  10
  14. Arizona Cardinals (1-1) – The Cardinals had an amazing game on all levels. Their defense was stout. Their Offense was clicking on all cylinders. Carson Palmer torched the Bears defense for 428 yards and 4 TD’s. Rookie David Johnson had 104 yards on 23 carries. The Cardinals will be a dangerous team if they can keep this up.  NEXT OPPONENT- 49ers. Last Week’s Rank  19
  15. San Diego Chargers (1-1) – Chargers get the auto-win against the Bengals. Bengals has been replaced and this shouldn’t be an issue anymore. NEXT OPPONENT- Vikings.  Last Week’s Rank  18
  16. Atlanta Falcons (1-1) – Game against the Giants got simmed due to connections issues. They tried twice and one game Falcons were up 14-0 and then the Giants were up 14-0 the next one. Expect big things from both teams this year. NEXT OPPONENT- Cowboys. Last Week’s Rank  16
  17. Indianapolis Colts (1-1) – Andrew Luck was supposed to be the next great quarterback and I just don’t see it. He barely completed 50% of his passes, but managed to throw for 221 yards and 3 TD’s. The real star of the game was running back Daniel Herron who had 188 all-purpose yards and 2 TD’s…oh and 5.4 rushing average. Get this guy on your fantasy team. NEXT OPPONENT- Titans. Week’s Rank  30
  18. Miami Dolphins (1-1) The Dolphins are a good team, but it’s hard to win when your quarterback has a 40% completion rating. They go some things to work on offensively but I think they’ll be alright this season if they can get their run game going early…and some secondary help wouldn’t hurt.  NEXT OPPONENT- Bills. Last Week’s Rank  12
  19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-1) – The Buccaneers defense looked good. Too bad no one else did. Their pas and run game struggled and even though they got 3 turnovers they couldn’t manage to do anything with them. The only INT Winston threw ended up costing them the game. NEXT OPPONENT- Texans. Last Week’s Rank  13
  20. New York Jets (1-1) – The Jets are another team that had a good running game going that had to be abandoned due to the team falling behind early. The Jets fired up the passing game and almost came back and won…but fell short losing 35-28. NEXT OPPONENT- Eagles. Last Week’s Rank  14
  21. Buffalo Bills (1-1) – It’s hard to find anything positive out of this game. The Bills looked terrible offensively and defensively. Tyrod Taylor managed only to complete 55% NEXT OPPONENT- Dolphins. Last Week’s Rank  15
  22. Houston Texans (1-1) – Beat the Panthers in a SIM due to the teams not getting a chance to play.  NEXT OPPONENT- Buccaneers. Last Week’s Rank  17
  23. Cleveland Browns (1-1) – Auto-Win due to opponent getting disconnected.  NEXT OPPONENT- Raiders.  Last Week’s Rank  25
  24. Pittsburgh Steelers (1-1) – Won in a SIM due to not being able to agree on game time. NEXT OPPONENT- Rams. Last Week’s Rank  23
  25. Washington Redskins (1-1) – Won in a SIM due to not being able to agree on a time to play. NEXT OPPONENT- Giants Last Week’s Rank  24
  26. Baltimore Ravens (0-2) – The Ravens got blown out for the second week in a row. This time it was the Raiders given them the beating…but at least they’re not the only victims of the Raiders wraith…maybe they can start a victim advocates group together against the Raiders. Call it the UARBT (Users Against Raider Beat Downs)??? In all seriousness they gotta get it figured out. Losing to the Bengals next week will put them in a huge 0-3 hole. NEXT OPPONENT- Bengals. Last Week’s Rank  28
  27. Carolina Panthers (0-2) – Lost in a SIM due to not being able to set up a time to play.  NEXT OPPONENT- Saints. Last Week’s Rank  22
  28. Chicago Bears (0-2) –The Bears need to get a QB and some secondary help or they’re going to be in trouble this season. They played poorly on both sides of the ball and for some reason the Bears WR couldn’t catch a cold if they wanted to.  NEXT OPPONENT- Seahawks.  Last Week’s Rank  29
  29. Tennessee Titans (0-2) – Took AUTO-LOSS Due to connection issues.   NEXT OPPONENT- Colts. Last Week’s Rank 31
  30. Seattle Seahawks (0-2) – took an AUTO-LOSS and has been replaced. Due to inactivity. NEXT OPPONENT- Bears. Last Week’s Rank  27
  31. Cincinnati Bengals (0-2) – took an AUTO-LOSS and has been replaced. Due to inactivity. NEXT OPPONENT- Ravens. Last Week’s Rank  32
  32. San Francisco 49ers (0-2) – Lost to Steelers in SIM due to the teams not being able to agree on a game time. NEXT OPPONENT- Cardinals. Last Week’s Rank  21

Week 2 Power Rankings

ESPN Power Rankings

What an exciting first week. We got to see some blowouts and some really close games that game down to last second field goals. It’s so amazing to be in a league with so many active people. The more I learn about each team the more accurate power rankings will get. This is going to be an exciting season. Here are our week 2 Power Rankings!

  1. Oakland Raiders (1-0) – The Raiders were on fire this week. They held the Bengals to -37 yards rushing and picked Andy Dalton off 4 times. Derek Carr was near perfect throwing for 192 yards, 3 TD’s,0 INT’s, and completing 6/7 passes. That’s right…they only threw the ball 7 times. Who needs to pass when Latavius Murray rushes for 183 yards and 2 TD’s.  NEXT OPPONENT-Ravens. Last Week’s Rank
  2. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-0) – The Jaguars had an amazing game this week beating the Panthers 40-21. Blake Bortles had a perfect game throwing for 288 yards, 4 TD’s, 0 INT’s and completing 80% of his passes while rushing for 49 yards. The Jaguars defense mauled the Panther for 4 INT and 1 sack. T.J. Yeldon has some work to do managing 52 yards on 19 carries…that’s a 2.7 avg. NEXT OPPONENT- Dolphins.  Last Week’s Rank
  3. New York Giants (1-0) – The Giants defense looked good. They forced 4 turnovers and held the Cowboys to under 200 total offensive yards. Eli Manning threw for 350 yards, 2 TD’s, and 3 INT’s. They need to get that run game going or keep winning the turnover battle. NEXT OPPONENT- Falcons.  Last Week’s Rank
  4. Green Bay Packers (1-0) – The Packers won a shootout against division rivals the Chicago Bears. Aaron Rodgers looks to be back in MVP shape throwing for 468 yards and 5 TD’s with only 1 interception. And Eddie Lacy pounded the Clock running for 85 yards on 13 carries. NEXT OPPONENT- Seahawks. Last Week’s Rank
  5. New England Patriots (1-0) – The Patriots had an all-around amazing game. Tom Brady threw for 347 yards with 2 TDs and 1 INT. Their running back by committee ran for 136 yards and 3 TDs. Their defense forced 5 INT and sacked Big Ben 4 time. They looked like one of the more complete teams we saw this week. NEXT OPPONENT- Bills.    Last Week’s Rank
  6. Los Angeles Rams (1-0) – This was an exciting game for Rams fans. Nick Foles was on fire this week throwing for 401 yards, 3 TD’s, and 1 INT. Todd Gurley helped keeps things balanced rushing for 73 yards on 17 carries. The defense was stout with 4 takeaways. Should be a good season for fans this year. NEXT OPPONENT- Redskins.  Last Week’s Rank
  7. Minnesota Vikings (1-0) – The Vikings looked amazing the first half scoring on 5 consecutive drives. Kyle Rudolph was a big part of the offense scoring 3 TDs and getting over 100 yards receiving. The Defense shut Kaepernick down forcing 4 interceptions and one fumble recovery. The Vikings only managed to score 3 points in the second half but they didn’t need to score anymore with the defense holding the lead. NEXT OPPOPNENT- Lions.  Last Week’s Rank
  8. New Orleans Saints (1-0) – The Saints were able to execute on both sides of the ball this week beating the Cardinals 27-0. Drew Brees was nearly perfect throwing for 258 yards, 2 TD’s, 0 INT’s and completing 77% of his passing. The Saints defense seemed to be in the backfield before the Cardinals could snap the ball and kept pressure on Carson Palmer all game only allowing 60 yards passing. They also picked Palmer off 4 times. NEXT OPPONENT- Tampa Bay. Last Week’s Rank
  9. Philadelphia Eagles (1-0) The Eagles won a tight one this week. The got the last second field goal to win. It really came down to them getting one less turnover then the Falcons. Sam Bradford looked good throwing for 330 yards, 2 TD’s, and 2 INT’s. The run game was efficient too. Demarco Murray picked up 86 yards on 16 carries. NEXT OPONENT- Cowboys. Last Week’s Rank
  10. Denver Broncos (1-0) – The Broncos had no turnovers and somehow only won by 14 points. Brock Osweiler quietly had one of the best games for a QB this week throwing for 5 TDs and 0 interceptions while completing 65% of his passes.  C.J. Anderson also had an amazing game rushing for 137 yards on 16 carries. Let’s not forget about this nasty defense that picked Joe Flacco off 5 times. NEXT OPPONENT- Chiefs. Last Week’s Rank
  11. Detroit Lions (1-0) – The Lions looked good beating the Chargers 35-26. Their offense was a little one sided throwing 36 times while rushing only 7 times. Who needs to rush when Matthew Stafford Throws for 373 Yards, 3 TD’s, 1 INT and completes 75% of his passes. Their defense forced 2 fumbles and got 1 INT helping the Offense stay on the field. NEXT OPPONENT- Vikings. Last Week’s Rank
  12. Miami Dolphins (1-0) The Dolphins defense showed up this week picking Kirk Cousins off 7 times…no that isn’t a typo or misprint, 7 times. They were solid on offense as well only giving up one turnover. Ryan Tannehill threw for 247 yards with 2 TD’s and 0 INT’s. Lamar Miller was solid as well picking up 84 yards on 20 carries. NEXT OPPONENT- Jaguars. Last Week’s Rank
  13. Houston Texans (1-0) – Texans receive an auto-win due to the Titans being removed from the league. Will see what they can do this week. NEXT OPPONENT- Panthers.  Last Week’s Rank
  14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-0) – Tampa Bay got the Auto-win. He will face his first opponent this week. NEXT OPPONENT- Saints.  Last Week’s Rank
  15. New York Jets (1-0) – Jets didn’t get a chance to play but his CPU still got the win. His first opponent will be against the Colts. NEXT OPPONENT- Colts. Last Week’s Rank
  16. Buffalo Bills (1-0) – Bills broke the rule and played CPU. His first opponent will be coming up. NEXT OPPONENT- Patriots. Last Week’s Rank
  17. Atlanta Falcons (0-1) – This was one of the more exciting games I’ve watched in a long time. It was close the whole time and ended on a last second field goal. The Falcons have to get more balanced though. Almost all of their offense came from Julio Jones who had 7 rec for 229 yards and 2 TD’s. Matt Ryan had 281 yards, 2 TD’s, and 3 INT’s. With a little more ball control the Falcons will be on the winning side of these close games. NEXT OPPONENT- Giants. Last Week’s Rank
  18. San Diego Chargers (0-1) – The Chargers lost this game even though they had the better stats. This was a good game for them and if it wasn’t for 2 costly fumbles they might have won the game. Phillip Rivers did great throwing for 336 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT and completing 82% of his passes. Knile Davis looked amazing running for 86 yards and 2 TD’s on 4 carries. It just wasn’t enough to make up for the turnovers in key situations. NEXT OPPONENT- Bengals.  Last Week’s Rank
  19. Arizona Cardinals (0-1) –The Cardinals looked terrible this week. Not only did they get shut out, they only managed to get 101 yards of total Offense. Their defense can’t be blamed when they spent most of the time on the field. On a positive note the Cardinals held Mark Ingram to a 2.8 avg on 25 carries (even if he did finish with 70 yards. This is only one game and they have plenty of time to fix things and turn this around. NEXT OPPONENT- Bears. Last Week’s Rank
  20. Dallas Cowboys (0-1) – The Cowboys need to get things figured out. Their defense forced 3 turnovers and they only managed 8 points off them. Tony Romo was terrible throwing for a measly 172 yards, 0 TD’s, and 4 INT’s. The run game was nonexistent. The only high point to take away from this game was their defense that forced red zone turnovers to try and get their team back into it. NEXT OPPONENT- Eagles. Last Week’s Rank
  21. San Francisco 49ers (0-1) – The 49ers got dominated for the first 2 quarters. Their defense allowed 5 straight touchdown drives and their offense managed only 7 points. On a positive note though the defense did get things figured out in the second half only allowing 3 points while the offense scored 10. When your defense puts you in a 35-7 hole it’s hard to get out of it. NEXT OPPONENT- Steelers. Last Week’s Rank
  22. Carolina Panthers (0-1) – The Panthers have one of the best all-around talented teams. They were outmatched this week by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Cam Newton might have had 417 yards and 2 TD’s, but he also threw 4 INT’s and wasn’t even pressured half the time. He kept forcing the ball and it cost them the game. They ran the ball 5 time…5. They need to get things figured out before they become the next 49ers. NEXT OPPONENT- Texans. Last Week’s Rank
  23. Pittsburgh Steelers (0-1) – The Steelers failed to get the running game going early due to falling behind early and never being able to catch up. Big Ben looked terrible throwing 5 INT and completing 52% of his passes. It’s hard to put the blame on him when he was sacked 4 times and seemed to be running for his life most of the game.  He did manage to throw for 428 yards and 3 TDs in an attempt to come back from a deficit. NEXT OPPONENT- 49ers. Last Week’s Rank
  24. Washington Redskins (0-1) – The Redskins had an ugly game most of that can be blamed on Kirk Cousins throwing 7 INT’s. He finished with 185 yards, 2 TD’s, and 7 INT’s. Maybe they should have relied more on Alfred Morris who was getting 6.1 yards per rush… Their defense is the high point in this story though. They only gave up 30 points on 7 turnovers and a lot of that was on short fields. NEXT OPPONENT- Rams. Last Week’s Rank
  25. Cleveland Browns (0-1) – The Browns broke the rule and played the CPU. At least he was honorably to take the loss instead of starting the game over. His season begins next week against the Titans. NEXT OPPONENT- Titans. Last Week’s Rank
  26. Kansas City Chiefs (0-1) – Kansas city took an aut0-loss due to the user being removed from league. NEXT OPPONENT- Broncos. Last Week’s Rank
  27. Seattle Seahawks (0-1) – The Seahawks got man handled by the Rams. Russel Wilson threw for 237 yards, 2TD’s, and 4 INT’s. They couldn’t get the ground game going and really didn’t even try with only 7 carries. Their defense gave up 400 passing yards and 41 points. They got to get things figured out for week 2. There’s too much talent on this team to lose games like this. NEXT OPPONENT- Packers. Last Week’s Rank
  28. Baltimore Ravens (0-1) –Joe Flacco was terrible this week. Yes he had 4 TDs on 386 yards passing, but he also had 5 INT. He was sacked only 1 time and seemed to have time in the pocket. He just kept forcing the ball and the Broncos kept picking it off. On a positive not (if there is one) they only lost by 14 with a -5 in the turnover column. They need to get their run game going and stop just throwing it up deep with no real WR there to fight defenders for the ball. NEXT OPPONENT- Raiders. Last Week’s Rank
  29. Chicago Bears (0-1) –The Bears lost a shootout to their division rivals the Green Bay Packers. Jay Cutler might have completed 60% of his passes (average) but he also threw 3 picks and even 1 might have been too costly in this shootout. Marcus Wilson on the other hand looked amazing taking a 20 yard slant 70 yards to the house, juke spinning Packer defenders out their shoes. NEXT OPPONENT- Cardinals.  Last Week’s Rank
  30. Indianapolis Colts (0-1) –The Colts didn’t get a chance to play their game due to the Bills breaking a rule and playing the CPU. We will see what he can do next week against the Jets.  NEXT OPPONENT- Jets. Week’s Rank
  31. Tennessee Titans (0-1) – Titans received an auto-loss because they were the CPU. Will see what they can do this week as a new owner. NEXT OPPONENT- Browns. Last Week’s Rank
  32. Cincinnati Bengals (0-1) – The Bengals had an awful game and whats worse is they looked like they were letting the Raiders score. With 5 turnovers the offense wasn’t doing the defense any favors. A.J. Green and Tyler Eifert looked good and that was about the only good out of this whole loss. NEXT OPPONENT- Chargers.  Last Week’s Rank

Game Times!

There has been some questions on when we advance (even though I've personaly told each and everyone of you). The league started on Thursday (a day early) and unless all games have been played, it will advance Monday at 9pm est. So the only reason why it seems so long this week is because we started early...

SO starting MONDAY the league will advance MONDAY, WEDNESDAY and FRIDAY at 9pm est. Now if all games are played we will advance early. So we have two 48 hour advances and one 72 hour advance. The reason for the 72 hours advance is most people like to go out and do things on the weekend, which limits their game time.

I want to thank everyone for being patient. It is a full-time job recruiting 32 people and getting them all organized on twitter and twitch. Once the season gets started things will run smoothly. I will make all of you a promise. We will NEVER go past an advance time. I will make another promise. I will fill this league with active good players who want to be apart of a great league.

If you have any questions please feel free to DM me on twitter or text me via cell phone to 651-231-3208.

Thanks you,

Welcome to MFUL

Welcome to MFUL!!!

I know this is a lot to read…please do though. Especially if you are new.

I want to welcome everyone into the league. I am new to Daddy Leagues so until I get the html figured out the website will stay pretty plain. If you know anything about changing Daddy Leagues home/header pages you can message me. I want to let everyone know a few important things before we get this started.

Please sign up on Daddy Leagues, it take only a few moments. This will help you manage your team, and create a deeper experience on Daddy Leagues. There's lots of things you can do with your team on here. You can ADD/DROP players and propose trades. Once you sign up Direct Message (DM) me on Tiwtter and I'll add you to the league and assign you the team you want.

We are going to take the first week to fill the league with quality players. Unfortunately no matter how long we take there is going to be some growing pains. Some people think they are Madden gods and when they lose a game or two they rage quit. So we will weed them out. Because of this though we will take some precautions to maintain the integrity of the league. A lot of the following can be found under “rules”.

There will be NO trading until you have been in the league for 6 weeks. This is to keep people from coming in and trading and then leaving the league. After that 6 weeks you can make 2-3 trades (maybe more smaller ones) and they will be monitored. After you have been in the league for a full season, you can trade at will. Even though you can trade at will, it doesn’t mean we will allow one-sided trades.

I will NEVER allow someone to be taken advantage of. If a trade seems too one sided a commissioner will speak to the team we feel is getting taken advantage of and make sure he/she understands the value of the trade. If the person can come up with a rational reason why they want to do that trade and it makes sense will allow it. This is Madden though and we want people to be able to get the players they want and have fun…we just don’t want to see it one-sided so a team becomes depleted.

Twitter is a MUST! It is easy to set up and you will have to set it up before getting into the league. Everyone has cell phones and most people have smart phones. It is so nice not to have to text anyone (which can still be done) to play a game. Also it allows everyone to see posts teams make. This is especially nice for putting someone on the “Trade Block”.

Twitch is a MUST! It is very easy to set up and one of us commissioners can help you. Twitch keeps the league interesting as people get to watch games, which is really fun come playoff time.

You will lose games and that’s ok. Rage quitting is not. Being a sore loser (talking bad about the opponent, complaining every time you lose on twitter) is not. We all lose and some people take it differently. Just lose with class if you can. If not stay off twitter with the negativity.

You will win games and that’s also ok. Running up the score is not. Being a sore winner (excessive gloating or showboating) is not. Don’t be a jerk, win with class. We want to keep the league friendly.

Have Fun! This is a must and this will keep the league going strong into Madden 2017!
