NFL Power Rankings 5/8/22

Alright ladies and gentlemen, it’s time for another random Power Ranking. This is going to be a special addition for the Redskins or Football team or whatever they’re calling themselves nowadays.

The first few seasons Power Rankings were corrupted by a team that would do anything to win and now he’s gone I don’t think will see any repeat Super Bowl winners. We have a lot of talented teams who could beat each other on any given Monday Wednesday of Saturday. Let’s get this started.

1. Washington Commander: I know what you’re thinking. There’s no way Commanders could possibly be number 1 in the power rankings. None so ever. Guys Imma finish the rest of the power rankings, but Commanders had one of the best drafts of all time…ok funs over, you can find Commanders real ranking if you scroll way down. Now to the Ranking

1. Panthers: Super Bowl champs. I never saw it coming. Maybe because he’s not always on Twitter talking about how good he is *coughJetsRavenscough*. After checking out their Team stats I don’t know how I missed it. #2 in Offense of scoring and #2 in Points scored against. They won 3 out of 4 playoff games by 7 points or less. But..2 out of their 3 regular season losses came at the wings of the Falcons. Hopefully they can figure out how to beat them this year in case they meet in the playoffs.

2. Ravens: The Ravens have been one of the top teams consistently since entering the league. They have one of the most talented rosters and an owner who knows how to use them. The fact that they haven’t won a Super Bowl yet is beyond me. They did face the Bucs and we know how that went *coughbucschearscough*. If I had to make a bet on who would be representing the AFC in the Super Bowl it would be them.

3. Eagles: Another team that is consistently one of the top teams. And another team that performs poor in the playoffs. They were 7 points away from representing the NFC in the Super Bowl so there’s that.

4. Browns: They’re really good at getting lots of interceptions and then telling us how good they are at getting interceptions. they’ve beaten some really good teams…but they’ve also lost to bad teams. And they’ve almost lost to some average teams *coughcommanderscough*. All jokes asides they’re one of the top AFC teams and have a good chance of representing the AFC in the Super bowl this year.

5. Packers: The Packers remind of the fast and the furious race where Paul Walker hits the NOS too early in the race and Vin Diesel catches him at the finish line and he loses. The Packers are dominant during the regular season…but they haven’t been able to replicate that in the playoffs. Who knows what would have happened if he didn’t play the Bucs in the playoffs 2 seasons ago. I think they’re a lock for a playoff spot but they have to show us more in the playoffs.

6. Falcons: They were impressive in their first full season last year. They started 1-3 and then won 12 of their next 13 games, before being knocked out of the playoff by a tough Eagles team. They might not have won the Super Bowl but they did beat the Super Bowl champs twice…so at least their drunk fans can claim a kinda victory? I think we will see them improve this year with another full season under their belt.

7. Patriots: Their a very strategic team and we’ve seen them improve each year after missing the playoffs 2 years ago. The Ravens have been their kryptonite in the playoffs knocking them out of the playoffs their last 2 appearances. If they can figure out how to beat the Ravens they’re a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

8. Texans: The colts give the Texans a hard time no matter who’s controlling them. They’re 0-2 against the Colts in the playoff and 0-4 in total playoff games. They’re another regular season champ who can’t seem to get over the hump. Make no mistake they’re a great team…they just have to figure it out in the playoffs. I don’t know if it’s bad luck or what but they’ve had some tough losses in the playoffs.

9: Rams: Another team that’s always in the hunt but seems to come up short. I thought with Bucs out they would for sure be in the Super Bowl…but I think they underestimated the Panthers who bullied them in the playoffs. I think the Rams are legitimate contenders still. They’re not getting the top seed but they’re a lock for the playoffs.

10. Jets: I already know I’m getting a DM from fans for putting them this low. The Jets are like Cowboy fans every year “this is our year”. They’re too bipolar to bet on though. They can beat any team..but they can also be beat by any team. It wouldn’t surprise me if they missed the playoffs entirely or won the Super Bowl.

11. Cardinals: It seems like the Cardinals are either dominating a team or getting dominated. They almost beat the Panthers and if it wasn’t for the Bucs they woulda been representing the NFC in the Super Bowl during the 2022 season. With a little bit of more consistency they gotta shot to win it all.

12. Bears:  The Bears are a tough win em for most opponents. They play a lot of close games, but they’re losing too many of those close games. They’re a wild card team at best right now. Unfortunately for them the Packers in owner has came in and now owns the north in dominating fashion. Will see if this off-season can spark a change for them.

13. Chiefs: they’ve made the playoffs 3 out of the last 4 years. I don’t know if that’s because of talent or a playing in a terrible division. They’re 0-3 in the playoffs and it always feels like they’re a warm up game for their playoff opponents. They definitely have the ability to be great. They just seem to be stuck on the cusp of average and great right now. Trading Tyreek Hill seems like it hurt their offense. Will see what they can do this year.

14. Dolphins: They’re the safe bet if you like to gamble. Most of the time they’re going to win the games they should and lose the games they should. They will shock you both ways once in awhile. They play in a tough division and I think they’re on the outside looking in when it comes playoff time. The Dolphins have finished the last 4 seasons 8-9…missing the playoffs every year.

15. Steelers: I know this could be said about other teams but…if the Steelers win 1-2 of their close losses they’re in the playoff’s last year…or so their fans who are always posting on social media say. The Steelers have 2 of the best teams in the league in their division so it doesn’t look hopeful for their playoff hopes.

16. Commanders: The Commanders beat the Falcons, Eagles, and Ravens all in a row…but then lost to the Bengals, Saints, Seahawks, and Cowboys (twice). I don’t know if they underestimated these teams or if it was just bad luck. I thought after knocking down 3 elite teams they were going to be serious Super Bowl contenders…but this team still has a lot potential.

17. Seahawks: They won more games last season then their previous 2 seasons combined. They have potential…until someone stops their short game passing and running game. They have to become more diversified in their play calling or they’ll always be an average team.

18. Jaguars: The Jaguars are a good teams stuck in an elite division. They have to play the Colts and Texans twice a year and the new Titans owner may or may not be a threat. I think they still have the ability to make the playoffs if they can split some of these division games.

19. Cowboys: The Cowboys are in the same boat as the Jaguars. Good team stuck in a great division. They have a super talented roster but they just can’t seem to utilize it. But good news! From what fans are telling me “this is their year”.

20. Giants: Copy and paste everything I said about the Cowboys right here…except Giants fans are realistic and know this is not their year.

21. Bengals: Good team solid roster…but stuck in a division with Ravens and Browns. I think they’re good enough to make the playoffs… if they were in the AFC West. Unfortunately they’re not. They were 0-6 in this division. If they could just split these games they might have a chance.

22. Raiders: They play in one of the worst divisions in the NFL and still haven’t seemed to find a way into the playoffs. They regressed last year and I don’t see things changing this year. The Chiefs own this division.

23. Chargers: Who said nice guys finish last? Ok I said that about the Chargers last year but this year is different. Nice guys are taking charge and going from bad to average. Then next year average to above average. Seriously though the Chargers made some strides last year and I look for them to keep on improving.

24. Saints: 3 seasons ago they were a legitimate Super Bowl contender and now they’re a legitimate contender for the #1 ovr pick. They have to get back to what made them contenders.

25. Bills: The Bills we’re 0-6 in their division. They do play in a thought division but these games weren’t even close. Hopefully they can figure it out. If One man can blow up a planet sized space station then they have a chance to win some division games.

26. Broncos: They have a lot of work to do. They play in a bad division and still can’t win more than 5 games.

27. 49ers: After making the move from the Titans to the 49ers they realized this division is no easier. They have talent on this roster but work to do in their game plans.

28. Colts: New user. Don’t know much about him. He did win a playoff game but that’s not a real evaluation of talent. Best wishes this year.

29.Titans: New user. Don’t know much about him. Best wishes this year.

30. Buccaneers: inherited a team that only needed 3 wins to make the playoffs and couldn’t do it. Best wishes this year.

31. Vikings: Won 1 game and hasn’t shown much promise. Hopefully he can figure it out this year.

32. Lions: went 1-7 as a new owner. Lots work needed. Best wishes.
