The SMLP Playoffs are almost upon us and the schedule is nearly set. With just a few Week 17 games remaining, things are starting to come into focus.  For 20 teams, the focus has shifted to the draft.  But for the twelve lucky teams, the season has not ended yet.  

In the NFC, the schedule is set and teams are preparing.  The Wild Card round will feature the Detriot Lions hosting the San Francisco 49ers and the Atlanta Falcons traveling to Washington DC ...

With the regular season concluding, many teams are looking to the future and the most exciting part of every offseason is unquestionably the NFL Draft.

Well, it was an up and down season for the Jaguars and their fans. A seven game losing streak after starting the season 4-1 led to a change in owners. That change inspired the Jaguars play, and allowed them to finish the season 3-1 for a 7-9 overall record on the season.  While they will be missing the playoffs, the Jaguars have a lot to look forward to in the future.

It remains to be seen whether or not the 49ers will be playoff bound, but tonight they did their part.  With a potential playoff birth on the line and a solid Buffalo Bills team in town, the 49ers came out and played as physical as we have seen them play during their time under the new ownership.  They had to fend off multiple Bills attempts to come back and each time they were able to pull away.  Tonight, they showed that they could make some noise if they end up in the pla...

After playing well in Weeks 14 and 15, the Jaguars offense looked really bad in Miami, managing just 3 points. QB Teddy Bridgewater had only 99 yards on 9-15 passing and an interception. Luther Bartell, coming off back to back 100+ yard rushing games, was held to 69 yards on 11 carries. The

After making an ownership change the night prior, the 49ers traveled to Seattle to take on the struggling 3-10 Seahawks.  If there were any questions about how the 49ers would handle the current drama, they were answered quickly in the first quarter when they jumped out to a 7-0 lead. The 49ers had a 21-13 lead at the half and would never look back.  Both defenses took over in the second half, where each team managed only one touchdown.
