With the regular season concluding, many teams are looking to the future and the most exciting part of every offseason is unquestionably the NFL Draft. This mock draft is based on current playoff position and the top prospects in the first round. The order of teams 21-32 may change as the playofffs progress.

1.  - Dawann Cannon - LE - Texas A&M

The Giants could go O-Line here but also need a pass rusher and Cannon is clearly the best in the draft.

2.   - Scott Clemons - TE - Michigan State

Despite the record, the Bengals don’t have many holes so they take the best TE in the draft.

3. - Lucas Dell - LT - USC

The Patriots have a massive gap at LT and Lucas Dell is the highest rated prospect in the draft.

4. - Kendall Peck - CB - Buffalo

The Seahawks need depth at CB and take Peck.

5. - Rhett Hackett - QB - Oklahoma State

The first QB comes off the board with Hackett.

6. - Joey Phillips - RE - Florida

Phillips falls into the Vikings lap and improves their pass rush instantly.

7. -  Dre Finley - WR - Michigan State

The Titans get one of the top WRs in the class.

8. - Duncan Barnhartt - QB - Tennessee

The Chargers reach for their QB of the future.

9.  - Simon Morrow - C - Boston College

The Dolphins need help on the O-line and Morrow should be an immediate boost.

10. - Jeffrey Overstreet - WR - LSU

Overstreet should contribute immediately to a Jaguars offense still searching for a true number one option.

11. - Kent Winslow - HB - Florida A&M

The Texans take the first HB of the draft to improve their running game.

12. - Josh Mooney - RE - Oregon State

The Cowboys get a steal at this point with Mooney. He should contribute immediately.

13. - Armani Metcalf - RT - Arizona State

The Bears fill a hole at RT with Metcalf.

14. - Jimmy Whitfield - LE - West Virginia

The Bills don’t have many holes and add a pass rusher.

15. - Bill Bullocks - CB - Minnesota

The Broncos improve their secondary with Bullocks.

16. - Mike Craver - MLB - Boise State

The Packers add to the front seven with Craver.

17. - Brody Brewer - TE - Wisconsin

The Steelers get a boost at TE with Brewer.

18. (via Phi) - Tom Lynch - RG - San Diego State

The Ravens have holes in their offensive line and use their first pick of the first round to get Lynch.

19. - Vincent Ellington - ROLB - N.C. State

The Panthers get the game wrecker from N.C. State.

20. - Leron Cheeks - RE - Georgia

The Redskins get Cheeks to boost the defensive line.

21. - Joseph Wallace - QB - Texas Tech

With an aging Cam Newton at QB, the Lions draft for the future.

22. - Davon Samuels - MLB - North Dakota State

Colts get a boost in the middle of the defense.

23. - Ellis Cates - WR - Lafayette

The Rams get a WR to pair with Cooks and add depth.

24. - Keith Donaldson - CB - Toledo

49ers add a potential playmaker.

25. - James Williams - CB - BYU

Raiders also go CB and add depth in the secondary.

26. - Lynn Clifton - MLB - Arkansas State

Chiefs’s get a physical player in Clifton.

27. - Mario Compton - CB - Georgia Tech

The Falcons need a playmaker in the secondary and Compton played his college ball just down the road.

28. - Matt Burton - ROLB - Idaho

Ravens need help at ROLB and find help at the bottom of the first found.

29. - Malcolm Reeves - ROLB - Southern Arkansas

The Cardinals also need help at ROLB and get the next best ROLB on the board.

30. - Tyson Dent - TE - Ole Miss

The Browns don’t have any glaring needs and draft a top TE prospect.

31. - Sterling Warner - ROLB - Nevada

The run on ROLB continues as Saints also find themselves with a need for a playmaker here.

32. - Mike Ambrose - QB - W. Michigan

The Jets draft a valuable backup and potential starter from W. Michigan.
