Week 1 of the 2018-19 SFL cycle was a wild one. We had unexpected upsets, and multiple good games. The Arizona Cardinals got the season started off on a good note last night, defeating the Washington Redskins 19-16 in overtime. It was an ugly game on both sides of the ball for Arizona but a lot of the issue was from Washington, who played a good game.

First and foremost, Mitchel Trubisky showed up to play in the opening game of the year. He made some big plays when needed. There was one bad call from the coordinator that led to an untimely interception that should have been avoided.

It was not a great day for rookie signal callers as the Bills hit the field at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. Josh Allen had a mediocre performance throwing 1 TD pass and 2 interceptions. Jaguars vs Giants was a tale of two halves by the Jaguars. In a game plagued by turnovers the Jags simply struggled in the 1st half. Blake Bortles lead the way with 6 1st half turnovers. The main reason for the Jags ability to keep the game close was the presence of the Jags defense. Coach Lando praised the Jags defense adding “We are defined by our grit”
