The New York Jets began their road trip with a flight to Carlsbad, California to meet up against a Los Angeles Chargers team in mid-season flux.  The Chargers recently hired a new coaching staff, an unusual move for sure.  However, the Chargers played a tough game and the Jets needed extra time to seal the victory, 30-27.

The Jets offense once again was carried on the legs of running backs Isaiah Crowell and Jarmon Livings. Both backs combined f...

After a bitter last second loss to the New England Patriots, the New York Jets went into their early season bye with a lot to contemplate. They felt they played well but couldn't find a way to reliably move the ball when they needed it most. With two weeks to prepare for their match against the Pittsburgh Steelers, they spent extra time working on their offense. However, their opponent also had two weeks to prepare as they too were coming off an early season bye. It was a matchup bet...

After a dumbfounding performance in week one, the New York Jets traveled to Philadelphia to meet up against the Eagles.  In a game where defense was merely a formality, both teams lit up the scoreboards and sent fantasy teams across the nation into overdrive.  The Jets were down 28-7 at the half, but stormed back to tie the game late.  It took extra time, but in the end the Jets soared, 49-43.

Very few quarterbacks can say they had a six in...

The New York Jets opened up season 81 with a visit to the Dallas Cowboys. It was an opportunity for the Jets to check out the new additions to their team, and for at least the first quarter they were in the match. However, late in the second quarter things started to fall apart for the Jets offense and the dominoes started to fall, as they eventually lost, 35-10.

Quarterback Sam Darnold had his worse performance of his career. He opened the game going 0-3, and ...

For part one of our special two-part series, we focused on the New York Jets Free Agency.  For this second part, we shift focus to the draft.  The Jets came into the off-season with seven total picks, and the talk around the Meadowlands was that the Jets were focused on addressing three positions of need.  In this second part, instead of focusing on all seven picks, we'll take an opportunity to look at three of the Jets picks.

Season 81 starts outside of lines, with brilliant planning and careful execution. It is imperative for the coaching staff and front office to get in sync as they look to prepare for both the long term and near term challenges that face them. For the New York Jets, this is no different. They find themselves at a pivotal juncture within their division, primed to take advantage of a potentially great opportunity. But it has to start in the off-season. How did the Jets do? In the first of this...

Jets look to start a new streak vs Packers

The New York Jets have had a miserable season by all accounts.  After finishing last year 8-8 and barely missing out on the playoffs, the hopes were high going in to this season.  The first game of the season indicated that just may be the case but after winning that game the season began to go downhill from there.  The Jets would then lose an unthinkable 9 straight games before finally getting their second win of the s...

Jets limp towards bye week

By Fireman Ed

The opening night win has long since been forgotten by New York Jets fans as the team lost its fourth consecutive game to fall to 1-4 headed to the bye week.  The schedule has no doubt been a tough one but I can't imagine coach Dawgs will be happy with losing four games in a row.  The Jets opened the season with a win over Kansas City and ha...
