The opening night win has long since been forgotten by New York Jets fans as the team lost its fourth consecutive game to fall to 1-4 headed to the bye week. The schedule has no doubt been a tough one but I can't imagine coach Dawgs will be happy with losing four games in a row. The Jets opened the season with a win over Kansas City and have since followed with loses to the Bears, Patriots, Steelers, and Bills. To add on to the Jets struggles, rookie starting QB Devin Ward was knocked out of the game vs the Bills and will be sidelined 5 weeks with a fractured foot. Ward was having perhaps his best game of the season when he took the hit that knocked him out of the game. The defense had been solid on the season up until when Parker Austin came to town. Austin looked as if he was throwing against air all night with little to no pressure or coverage offered by the secondary. The Jets will no doubt be looking forward to the upcoming bye week. There are so many question marks for this team which is now running out of time to find the answers before the season is lost. Who steps in at QB with Ward hurt? What in the hell happened to Knile Davis? Why can't our WR catch the damn ball? What is wrong with the highly touted defensive line? Is your Grandma available to play FS for us? We could continue going on and on but we will stop for now. Tune in next week for the bye week, after all the Jets can't get beat by the bye. Or can they?
