The Titans were active early on in free agency, adding OL David Andrews to replace the retired J.C Tretter. Additionally, they added the top two free agent CBs available, signing Kenny Moore and Jonathan Jones to 1-year deals to bolster a secondary that consistently got burnt last year. Coach Mike Vrabel stated that you could expect to see the team play a very matchup heavy defense in the secondary, with CB D.J Brown likely to have a significant role as well. Other notable signings include...

While the Titans got off a solid 6-3 start, they slowed down as the regular season went on, finishing with a disappointing 8-8 record, missing the playoffs yet again. While the team minimized the impact of losing Derrick Henry for most of the season due to a foot fracture, it is clear it had a major effect on the team. Rookie HB Marcus Slay, who we profiled previously, tried his best to fill in Henry's gigantic shoes, finishing his rookie season with over 1000 yards from scrimmage and ...

In the latest player profile, we discuss Titans' 2nd year CB D.J Brown. Acquired in an offseason trade with the Browns where the Titans also acquired WR Ramon McFadden, Brown was an afterthought in that trade for many. The 2nd year player, despite his athleticism, did not receive any meaningful playing time with the team that drafted him. Clearly the Titans saw something in him from his days at Texas A&M, viewing him as a vital piece of the trade. Upon arriving in Nashville, Brown ...

Going into their bye week, the Titans are 3-2. The only consistent thing about this team seems to be their inconsistency, with coach Mike Vrabel lamenting their inability to put together a complete game. While the team's defense is still as disappointing as it was last season, the Titans seem to have drastically improved on the offensive side of the ball, where they rank 4th in the league in points scored and 5th in yards gained. On the offensive side, the team has benefitted from the ...

In this week's Titans player profile, we discuss rookie HB Marcus Slay. A 2nd round pick out of Cal, Slay rose to national prominence winning the prestigious Heisman award in his final year at the school. Despite concerns over his level of competition, as well as his dimunitive size (5'10 and a generous 189 pounds) and unimpressive 40 yard dash (4.50 at the combine), the team invested an early pick on Slay. While some may debate the merit of investing a high draft pick on a HB, Sla...

The Titans were surprisingly active in the offseason, signing multiple free agents, making multiple major trades, and adding a lot of young talent through the draft. Arguably the most notable trade was one which sent away top CB Adoree Jackson and backup TE Gary Bayless, as well as next year's 1st round pick, to the Jets for the #1 overall pick, as well as an early 2nd round pick, 5th round pick, and 7th round pick swap. The other major trade saw the Titans send young star DT Terrance ...

The Titans finish out the regular season with a disappointing 6-10 record, missing the playoffs. The team simply was not good enough on either side of the ball, finishing in 22nd in scoring offense and 20th in scoring defense. The team's inconsistency started at the quarterback position, where Dak Prescott finished with 27 TDs and 31 INTs, at times looking brilliant and at times looking like Stevie Wonder. HB Derrick Henry finished with great regular season numbers (over 1700 scrimmage...

While it looked like the Titans were starting to come alive during their previous 4 game stretch, they came crashing back to Earth during this one, going 1-3 and virtually guaranteeeing they will miss the playoffs. Their inconsistent play starts with the QB position, where Dak Prescott looks like a top 10 QB one game and a bottom 10 QB another. The same could be said for HB Derrick Henry, who despite rushing for 200 yards multiple times this season has also mixed in multiple 40 yard games ...

The beginning of the Titans' latest 4 game stretches ended the same way their first 4 games ended, with a loss. After that, however, the Titans managed to put together a 3 game win streak, all against AFC components. While their win against the Ravens was an unexpected blowout, the team won against Jacksonville and Pittsburgh by a combined 4 points. The most notable performer during this 4 game stretch was HB Derrick Henry, who followed up the news that he received a contract extension...
