RML Draft #1 Round 1 4 Season Analysis
By MnMicecr3am
1. Bills – Jorian White OLB
Tackles – 222 TFL - 46 Sacks – 44 Forced Fumbles – 9
White was a sure thing coming into the first draft. The Bills picked him for a defensive presence coming off the edge. Despite some injuries, White has increased his sacks every season he has been in the league. White is a beast and a crucial part in the Bills defense.
2. Colts – Allen Mason S
Tackles – 267 Interceptions – 38 Forced Fumbles – 10
Mason, another beast coming out, has been a staple in the secondary for the Colts. Mason has been successful at both Strong and Free Safety. He also has been very crucial in 2 Super Bowl runs. Mason averages just under 12 turnovers caused per season.
3. Eagles - Jase Hallen QB – Currently Out of League
Passing Yards – 10,283 TDs – 63 Interceptions – 98
Hallen started off promising with the Eagles, but the constant turnovers plagued him. Hallen moved from the Falcons to the Packers and is now out of the league. Maybe Hallen finds a job due to an injury?
4. Falcons – Lewis Fiammetta WR – Currently on the Saints
Catches – 259 Yards – 4775 TDs – 36
Fiammetta was just apart of a blockbuster trade to the Saints, but he was very productive for the Falcons. He was a solid contributor but did not lead to any playoff success. Look for Fiammetta to keep contributing on the Saints.
5. Rams – Quinn Van Pelt LB – Currently on the Ravens
Tackles – 318 TFL – 43 Sacks – 27 Forced Fumbles – 6 Interceptions – 14
After Van Pelt’s most productive season with the Rams, he was shipped to the Ravens. Van Pelt found himself as a Edge presence before the trade, but was switched back to Mic on the Ravens. Pelt is a starter and a force on one of the most powerful defenses in RML.
6. Lions - Parker Amundson WR
Catches – 171 Yards – 2996 TDs – 22
Amundson has largely been a disappointment, with no season over 51 catches, 1000 yards, or 8 touchdowns. Amundson is still on the Lions but is hardly a threat in their run heavy offense that focuses on big bodied receivers.
7. Seahawks – Ray Locklear QB
Passing Yards – 10,334 TDs – 67 Interceptions – 79
Like Hallen, Locklear has not lived up to his top 10 pick. He is still on the Seahawks, however is not a leader and his main role is handing the ball off as much as possible. Locklear was recently benched in favor of FA Dak Prescott.
8. Broncos – AC Owens Edge – Currently with the Rams
Sacks – 28 FF – 5 TFL – 19 Tackles - 129
Owens had a huge 14 sack season with 4 forced fumbles in his second campaign. After this, he has largely been an afterthought. The Rams have recently signed him to a FA deal to likely help where Van Pelt left off. Hopefully Owens can turn his career around in LA.
9. Raiders – Jimmy Loverne QB – Currently with the Titans
Passing Yards – 9964 TDs – 68 Interceptions – 58
Loverne has done the best out of the first round QBs at keeping the ball with his own team and limiting turnovers. After not being a starter in Cleveland last year, the Titans went out and signed him to a deal to start for them. Hopefully Loverne can turn around Tennessee back into a SB team.
10. Bengals – Riley Watson TE
Catches – 260 Yards – 3859 TDs – 35
Watson has been one of the leagues most productive receivers in the last 4 seasons… from the tight end position. Watson has been a very bright spot in a not so bright situation in Cincinnati. Watson is off to a hot start and hopefully leads Cinci to a winning season.
11. Browns – Timario Winston CB – Currently on the Packers
Interceptions – 23 Tackles – 248
Winston was shipped to Green Bay last season where he had a rough playoff campaign. Besides his glamorous 2020 campaign (12 picks, 4 TDs) Winston has been quiet in the Interception department. Is this because teams are afraid to throw to him? That wasn’t the case in the playoffs.
12. 49ers – Simon Milanovich QB
Passing Yards – 16,253 TDs – 128 Interceptions – 168
After a red hot first two seasons, Milanovich quickly fell back to earth with a combined 91 picks thrown the past two campaigns. Simon got a shiny new deal but has been pulled more than a fair share of times for his lack of accuracy. Americans don’t appreciate interceptions Milanovich…
13. Colts – Jon Walters WR
Catches – 280 Yards – 6581 TDs – 70
Jon Walters is one of the most polarizing players in RML ever since his entrance. He consumed a large amount of volume his first season and has declined since then in TDs and Receptions per season. Walters piggy backed the Colts to two Super Bowls with two different QBs at the helm and was even the MVP in the second game.
14. Saints – Douglas McCree LB – Currently with Seahawks
Tackles – 212 TFL – 31 Sacks – 15
McCree was a RB eater in his time with the Saints. He recently signed a one year deal with the Seahawks and is jostling for a starting role in their LB corps.
15. Texans – Malcom Weems DT – Currently with Packers
Tackles – 153 TFL – 30 Sacks –16.5
Weems was acquired by the Packers this past offseason to help patch their run d woes. Weems has been solid since starting, rivaling LBs with his run stuffing production. This season might be his best yet as he will start on the Edge.
16. Chargers – Cameron Page LT
Sacks allowed – 46 Games played – 62
Cam Page is one of the only constants since joining the Chargers. He has given up a lot of sacks, but is still a staple to the OL and has only missed two games in his career.
17. Ravens – JT Tuman RB – Currently with Giants
Rushing Yards – 5507 Total TDs – 60 Fumbles – 15
After being casted off the Ravens for a DV arrest, the Giants quickly picked him up and put him to work. Tuman has been the lifeblood of the Giants and even has an OPOY under his belt. Arguably one of the most productive members of this draft, its safe to say the Giants gamble paid off.
18. Panthers – Dion Pope LT
Sacks allowed – 19 Games played – 47
Pope recently kicked inside to guard. After his first two seasons were filled with injury, Pope is now Carolinas everyday starting RG.
19. Redskins – Jordan Scandrick S
Tackles – 263 Interceptions – 13 FF – 6
Scandrick has not been a ball hawk, but he has been a defensive force for the Redskins in the run game. Scandrick is an everyday starter and stuffs runners and receivers in their tracks.
20. Packers – Ross Sulak G
Sacks Allowed – 10 Games Played – 48
Sulak has become one of the best blocking centers in the game and is a big reason for MVP campaigns from Christian McCaffery and Grant Dutka this past season. Centers do matter folks.
21. Dolphins – Tyrone Hansen WR
Catches – 155 Yards – 2,486 TDs- 18
Hansen has been another disappointment for the Dolphins. Lacking a season with 50 catches, 1000 yards, and 9 touchdowns. Hansen remains with the run heavy fins, but has not seen WR1 production since his 3rd season.
22. Vikings – Martin Sparks CB
Tackles – 223 Interceptions – 8
Sparks has not been a ballhawking CB the Vikings drafted him to be, but he has been very effective stuffing the run. However, when you draft a CB in the first round, you do not expect multiple seasons with 1 lone interception.
23. Chiefs – LaJarvis Bridgewater G – Currently with Bears
Sacks allowed – 23 Games played – 64
LaJarvis recently was signed by the Bears, his time was well spent with the Chiefs. He did not miss an entire game in his Chiefs career, and hopes to bring an anchor to the Bears Oline.
24. Packers – Charles Agholor Edge – Currently with Seahawks
Sacks – 30 TFL – 30 Tackles – 154
Agholor has been an old fashioned RML whore, being with 4 total teams and 2 teams twice. In starting Seasons, Agholor does average 10 sacks and is looking to blow up these next few seasons for the Hawks.
25. Browns – Javier Tate CB
Interceptions – 17 Tackles – 264
After a stellar 8 pick rookie campaign, Tate has been more of a run stuffer also. Tate is a big reason that the Browns secondary has been labeled one of the best since his arrival into RML. Tate only travels Mason and his former teammate Winston in Interceptions from this class.
26. Steelers – Long Dinkins OLB
Tackles – 196 TFL – 16 Sacks – 12.5 Interceptions – 6
Dinkins main card since entering the league is utility. He can rush the passer, stuff the run, and cover in zone. Although none of his stats leap off the stat sheet, this “Swiss Army Knife” approach is an attractive trait.
27. Cardinals – Ryan Gammon LT
Sacks Allowed – 48 Games Played – 60
Gammon has been a lock in one of the top lines in RML. Gammon is another impressive lineman from this class that produced many.
28. Patriots – Samuel Phinisee CB
Interceptions – 9 Tackles – 143
Phinisee has largely been a disappointment for the Pats, and this has led them to search for outside answers and bring in other CBs. Phinisee especially disappoints considering the weapons the Patriots passed on by trading down to this pick.
29. Buccaneers – Russell Haris C
Sacks Allowed – 25 Games Played – 64
Not only has Harris not missed a game, but he also has become one of the leagues top centers. This was the draft to pick interior Lineman if ever.
30. Jets – Zach Mirer C
Sacks Allowed – 13 Games Played – 64
Another potential HOF OL. Mirer recently switched to RG and has been absolutely solid doing so.
31. Cowboys – Tramon Roberts TE – Currently with Ravens
Catches –117 Yards – 1612 TDs – 11
After an amazing rookie campaign and shipment to the Ravens, Roberts has been moved into more of a blocking role and does not see much volume.
32. Titans – Russell Bing WR – Currently with Browns
Catches – 175 Yards – 3166 TDs – 22
Bing has mostly been a gadget WR in his stint in RML and never translated into a #1 WR threat. It is a great “What if” to think how his career would have turned out without the coaching turnovers early in his career.
