The Saints won this week with a blowout of the Broncos. The Saints were able to achieve this despite Zac Dysert having robotic implants in his arm casing him to have laser accuracy. The Saints have always been considered a competent defensive team, this theory was put to the test severely against the defending champion Falcons who basically did whatever they wanted to on offense against a Saints team that did not have the answers. The Falcons running backs got 6-8 yards every time they got a carry regardless if they were apprehended in the backfield or not. It was a truly humbling experience for the home standing Saints.
Richard Boren was pretty accurate on the day when NO had the rock, throwing 12-15 for 146 and 2 TD’s and Mark Ingram ran for 73 yards. On defense, Jarius Byrd had 9 tackles, which tells you the truth about the ineptitude of the defense.
It gets no easier next week as the Saints continue the “Death Tour” (Atl,Car,Stl) against Carolina, who they always struggle with.

The Saints continued their stellar start to the 2016 campaign with a blowout victory over the visiting New York Giants behind a dominant defense and a balanced offensive attack. The Saints gave up a 53 yard TD run to fall behind 7-0, but they reeled off 45 straight points and never looked back.
The offense was led by Richard Boren’s 265 yds passing and 3 TD’s and Mark Ingram’s 165 yds and a score on the ground. Brandin Cooks had his best game as a Saint with 7 rec and the rookie Dalvin Ramsey had 6 rec.
The defense gave up 124 yes to Le’Veon Bell, but harassed rookie Cade Weaver into 3 INT’s and 71 yds. Danny Trevathian had 2 QB Tackles and CB Dom Hilliard had 2 INT’s. The Saints play defending champion Atlanta next week in a pivotal game in the NFC South.

The Saints began their 2016 campaign with a resounding victory over the visiting Seattle Seahawks behind a stout defense and a dominant running game. The Saints looked to be in trouble early after Mark Ingram fumbled in Seattle territory, but the Saints defense held the Seahawks to a field goal.
Once the Saints got the football back, they went on a long drive capped off by a Mark Ingram TD run. They then continued to stay on the ground for big chunks of yardage and 2015 OROY, Richard Boren played mistake free football going 11-14 for 121 yds and a TD. The stars on offense for this game were the running backs. Mark Ingram carried the ball 26 times for 101 yds and 2 TD’s and rookie LaMichael Maclin carried 12 times for 121 and a TD. The defense didn’t get much pressure, but managed to intercept Russell Wilson twice and held the Seahawks to 146 total yards on the day.

On offense, the Saints have grown more dynamic at the receiver position with the addition of electric rookie pass-catcher Dalvin Ramsey. He'll boost the air attack while the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year, Richard Boren is poised to take the next step and become a top tier QB in the SFL. With the addition of Ramsey to Brandin Cooks, Kenny Stills, Jimmy Graham, and Mark Ingram, the Saints should have no problems moving the football.
On defense, the Saints picked up a future star in Dom Hilliard from the Rams, and also picked up the future at MLB in Daven Curtis. Bronson Jolly is an instant starter at LE and Danny Trevathan is going to play well opposite of Junior Gallette. The defense has to make up for the loss of Kenny Vaccaro and Treyvon Hayes out of Akron will get first crack at replacing him.
Season Record Prediction:

Dallas- The Saints won their 4th game in a row despite Mark Ingram being injured behind good game management from Drew Brees (19/28 195 yds, 1TD) and a defense that made plays at the right time to escape “Jerry’s World” with it’s fourth victory in a row. New Orleans has a bye next week and when they return to face the Buccaneers in week 7, they have major questions to answer at QB when 1st round rookie Richard Boren will be cleared to play. Who starts, him or Brees?

St. Louis- The visiting New Orleans Saints had a much improved defensive showing led by Jarius Byrd's 2 interceptions and a visious pass rush that got home 7 times, but could not muster enough offense to leave the stadium with a win. Rookie QB Richard Boren was diagnosed with a torn labrum that will leave him sidelined for 5 weeks and a deteriorating Drew Brees threw 2 interceptions and Jimmy Graham fumbled on the potential game winning drive.
"We are really struggling right now as a whole, we are going to watch some film and maybe simplify the playbook a bit and get back to the basics. We seen some positves on defense and the running game looks able to relied on as Ingram and the bunch are chomping at the bit to carry this offense" said coach Douglas after the loss.
