The Saints continued their stellar start to the 2016 campaign with a blowout victory over the visiting New York Giants behind a dominant defense and a balanced offensive attack. The Saints gave up a 53 yard TD run to fall behind 7-0, but they reeled off 45 straight points and never looked back.
The offense was led by Richard Boren’s 265 yds passing and 3 TD’s and Mark Ingram’s 165 yds and a score on the ground. Brandin Cooks had his best game as a Saint with 7 rec and the rookie Dalvin Ramsey had 6 rec.
The defense gave up 124 yes to Le’Veon Bell, but harassed rookie Cade Weaver into 3 INT’s and 71 yds. Danny Trevathian had 2 QB Tackles and CB Dom Hilliard had 2 INT’s. The Saints play defending champion Atlanta next week in a pivotal game in the NFC South.
