Last game Matthew Stafford received the start, and gave away 6 interceptions in a game where Melvin Gordon, and Yeldon had good yards nice game. However that many turnovers, was the possible only start we might see.
Nate Sudfeld came out, played good you could tell he missed his catching wr Dre Loane, so Corey Coleman, really had to play hard, Sidney Groves once again dropped passes, and he wasn't getting open like Loane sadly. They let Melvin Gordon keep the defense on it reluctant and punching but weak toes. Jaguars didn't bring there best game as Cleveland fans booed most of the game. Losing Dre Loane, Cory Pierce all favorites and having only one win can do that to a fan base.
We might see cody Kessler this year I think, he's actually paid as much as Sudfeld. However lacks the pure NFL presence in the pocket. When asked when they might see Matthew Stafford coach Brooks simply told everyone right now he's not a option we believe in Sudfeld going ahead, with a running attack maybe some of these new trades might work. Clinton has a few sacks and has played nice freeing up Emmanuel Ogbah also. Defense tackles Shelton and Williams continue there struggles linebacker Kirksey and Cochran have played great. Secondary lots can see Braxton Leak as one the best free safety's in the omfl but Cassidy Fair is learning and the corners need to improve.
Looking back at our game we just saw Sudfeld threw a touchdown with under a minute left putting them up by 4. He looked good overall and Gordon carried the load. The defense looked not so great but I think overall they lost great players but might have improved.

Breaking, Dre Loane the star wr, the 2nd overall pick in the 2017 draft has been moved for De Clinton, and Wr Mundy from the Chiefs. They needed a good de after losing Cory Pierce, for Melvin Gordon the running back who trying get reps from Yeldon.
Sources have said that Loane wanted big money, and with Corey Coleman, Sidney Groves and now Mundy they have a nice wr core. Desean Jackson has made little impact, and Peake is getting many catches himself. They are going to need somebody to fill the shoes of Loane. When asked the front office said that's all up to Sidney.
With clinton it should free up Ogbah more.

The Browns have now lost four games in a row, instead of recapping another bad game from the Browns. We decided to look at what's ahead.
The gm/coach is all but leaving the Browns all but a done and said thing. Rumors are where he goes for the next omfl game is unknown, but it's clear he wants to be part of the omfl in a big capacity, we sat and had a quick chat with gm/coach.
Rumors persit you are going to leave the Browns?
Sometimes runors are just only that right now I'm here and building something.
Whats the future with your quaterback?
Our next game we are going to decide right before who starts, who goes through practice this week, is going to start. We known that we feel Nate Sudfeld is a franchise quarterback but he's turning over the ball to much. We might give the reigns to Stafford and let us eveulte him.
Whats your biggest issue this year?
Bad tackling and a young secondary has cost us. On the offense side we can't run the ball.
We are going to have more interviews coming soon

Sources are now telling our network, that Dre Loane the Browns number 1 pick in the 2017 draft won't sign long term. With Ogbah asking for lots of money, and only having the one franchise tag. It looks they might lose there star wr, that has lined up and played for them since the new gm took over. Signing a 4 year deal, was the best option but for now, he just wants out and Sidney Groves is going to have to step into the role, he's tall quick but he not as sure handed as Loane. Rumors are swirling that soon Loane is moved. Sad for the great fan base

The Browns, didn't come out and play again, the bengals from the start showed why they are the better overall team. The WRs didn't really line up against Cassidy Fair when they did he showed up, and made plays. Javonte Burley Gerald Hakim continually got beat on deep routes. That went for a quick 7. Yeldon and Duke got little action, being down so much. Sudfeld passed for lots of yards but not points.
The opposition was just better, we didn't play good in the secondary we didn't even make the upfront easy tackles. Maybe I put my team in the wrong position today I will gladly take all the critics on this. Losing this many and this early, we know it's a big uphill battle that we must get by. We keep building for next year, but it's now that we need wins.
Sudfeld was named starter for the next game but shared reps in practice

This week, featured team is the Browns. A team who in free agency made small moves, but did land Mathew Stafford and Charles Clay in late waiver bidding battles. If your a fan of the game you can see the holes, because of the defense that was built is built from youth. Lots of missed tackles, was the demise rather quickly. Even on special teams giving up a kick return for a touchdown, and punts for big yards. Overall the Browns just look to not care. Maybe the last game lingers, but you would hope the Browns next game they go back to what has been the foundation. Stop the run, and play good coverage. Ogbah is the only lineman, getting close to any quaterback.
The offense struggled on there first possessions, and had to rely on passing the rest of the way, you need to run the ball also. Nate Sudfeld had 4 touchdowns, no ints played good enough to retain his job as the starter. When asked post game nate is our qb that's all I have to say the coach said.
Our evaluation the overall team has a decent upside they play better than record would suggest, lots of young playmakers. However this Browns team will probably win 6 games they will play each game tough, but will they compete no. The gm/coach didn't get enough playmakers, and play below the league average .

The Browns entered, this week 1-0. After starting the game slowly Braxton Leak the star free safety got a interception and returned it for a touchdown. That was the only big scoring, highlight of the game. Leak and the new rookie corner had interceptions leak totaling with two, the defense made the offense of Texans, give them 4 interceptions. Everyone was impressed by the secondary of the Browns it's young. The line was very stout but did bend enough to give up 27 points.
The game was pretty close 27-16 final nate Sudfeld had lots of struggles giving them a total of three interceptions by games end one was a late game heave though. Yeldon had a nice game, but Coach Brooks kept attempting to get Loane Coleman and Groves involved. Even though yeldon loooked better than any game he played in since joining the Browns on a big contract. Maybe the rumor they are shopping for a half back finally motivated him. He could be a cap hit next year.
After the game coach Brooks, when asked why they lost paused. His reply was I'm not sure we played great defense we ran the ball once getting in scoring range never could materialize from it. We have to go back to drawing board and focus more on details we have talent here to win. Sudfeld will continue to be the starter

After the Browns game we heard from sources, GM,Coach was contacted by another team, and from the Cleveland side they would release him from duties if things heat up. A close source tells us the Chicago Bears, want Brooks to be there general manager and coach after having bad season after bad season. They see him as, the person who could rebuild them into a winner. Calls put into all reps turned down all the rumors, with typical response of he's still under contract. The omfl had no response, and coach Brooks didn't get back to reporters.
When there is a little smoke there could be a flame not a fire yet. Why, after having a nice draft building a nice team would Brooks want out now. He's been with only Cleveland his entire omfl career. Worst case scenario these rumors are true, but is Brooks leaving a bad thing, he's been cheap and puts most of his draft, and free agency needs only for defense. Most people do I would think have a quaterback in place not Sudfeld, and Stafford and struggling running attack that hasn't flourished

The Cleveland Browns first game was at home, vs the Steelers. The new secondary with mostly young stars like Cassidy Fair, Braxton Leak, and there line and linebackers played very nice to. Levon Bell really didn't get many carries, there game plan was to pass and they did without much success. On the bright side Nate Sudfeld connected with Corey Coleman, Dre Loane and newly acquired tight end Charles Clay all showed up with zero turnovers.
Possibly the biggest addition was players they had performing when they didn't a year before.
TJ Yeldon played great even with, trade rumors flying around him just one year after signing. Duke had some great carries to which got Nate Sudfeld more time.
Thr game was nothing special, both played average I think, overall they improved, but you couid see glaring weakness available to everyone to know it's going to be a long season.
We have a few good pieces to release soon, a interview by skip baykess on the Browns. We also have a sit down conversation with owner Brooks very soon. Lots to look forward to. The season isn't one that's going to be a playoff team, but maybe just maybe they are in the right direction until next time

The Browns had plenty of cap space and chased after Freeman a free agent from Eagles. There biggest need, or position they went all chips on table. Paxton Lynch was brought in, had a good meeting, but sources tell the Cleveland plain dealer, that he turned down there offer. The same happened with freeman so what's next? We know they still were going to spend and they brought in vet Alex Mack. He's going to play center on a one year deal. They also signed Desean Jackson who's from his agent still very effective. Dan Williams brought on as there dt stop gap it looks to be so far. Singing a few other guys like Blair Walsh to kick. Jefferson to play a ss while Hobson and there other safety's develop.
You saw the list of the free agents, your unimpressed join the city. However they did sign late Charles Clay to play tight end, and Matthew Stafford on a one year deal. Most figured that signing Stafford would make him the starting quaterback, however Nate Sudfeld retains his job after resigning a 4 year deal. When asked why they, decided to stay with there quaterback, he knows the system and we feel he's the franchise we always have and he's only 26. If he does have some bad games look for Stafford to get a start. Things are very still much in the air, we thought we had Paxton, but we still think Sudfeld is our guy. Plus he signed a very nice contract so there not over invested in this deal.
The draft was a big hit going corner with Cassidy Fair, he looks to be one the best corners drafted since the ibengals got Stupar. Defense tackle Erick Boyle who looks to be a project. Mike Mathis brought in as middle linebacker but he could play a different position in the NFL he's a big time height weight speed guy. Derron Bledsoe would also play corner and possible see time at nickel.
Donnie Williamson a undrafted free agent made the 53 tight end.
off season recap I give a C and that's generous so much talent, in the league and they continued there stubborn ways to believe that building through free agency is a option but keeping there own and making the most from the draft is there vision. With lots of big time resigns this year Dre Loane, Ogbah and pierce maybe they did ok not over spending. Rumors are flying that Pierce there de is going to be traded possibly to New Orleans.
Predication 6/10 season
Cleveland Plain Dealer
The Browns, last year finished top 5 in each category on the defense side of the ball, and offense they did good in terms of yardage. However they finished toward the bottom for points scored, and yards rushing per game. So, basically to sum it up, they couldn't run the ball, or put up enough points, from constantly sputtering out when getting inside the red zone. Nate Sudfeld in a contract year, is once again going to be named the starter. However, they have made inquiries about landing a veteran signal caller, or maybe they will next free agency. The Browns have stated they will not draft a qb, they developed Nate this far, if things don't go right look for them to look at proven qb.
In the first round they had pick 10, and they drafted Braxton Leak a free safety from Oregon he's only 21, but he was number one hands down on there board. They attempted making deals to move up to number 2, and 3 to draft this player and yet he was there at 10. The war room was excited when they finally turned in his name for the commissioner to announce. Pick 27, they went playmaker strong safety, Shanard Humes from Clemson. He should push Reid for the starter position from the first game one would think. Second round they, went best value wide receiver Sidney Groves, who might be the replacement for josh Gordon who's going into free agency next year. He will battle with Gage Sayers as the 4th wr as he learns the playbook, and the NFL speed.
The 3rd netted a corner Cory Greco who's now on the practice squad, and with two 4th round picks they went rolb Branton Blackmon, and lg TJ Richart. Guys who are going to battle for the 53 man roster. They drafted a center, a lolb, and even went kicker. Lots are going to be depth players and practice squad players. They also got a tight end undrafted and have pending claims breaking on twitter as we speak.
Leak, Humes, and wide out Groves all going to be, players we see on sundays. Stay tuned for this years recap of the first game. Browns fans are cautiously optimistic on the radio, on twitter and on the street.

Bud Shaw reporting,
Watching the super bowl, watching the Falcons hold the Lombardi back to back seasons, and Browns fans are getting restless. Will the trend continue, losing season one after another, when loyalty in sports has changed. Sons these days will follow a winner, not there fathers team, not there home team. After all who doesn't want a winner? So we preview the 2019 objectively, as possible with no biased, well maybe a little. With 62 million cap room, and even more projected for the next season.
Free agency recap, there big trade of the season was moving Todd Gurley, who after a press conference said, Lake Erie smelled like a wasteland maybe the writing should have been seen. However when asked, if he would sign long term after getting the franchise tag he said "straight cash homie", they shopped him quickly after that. Receiving a 1st and 3rd from this years draft and second from next years draft from the lions who can empathize with browns fans.
The big acquisition was, on the first day signing TJ Yeldon running back to a 4 year contract. On the offense it was the only major move. They did sign, right guard Jeff Allen, Right tackle Kyle Long, to bolster there line. As Gary Barnridge ages, they brought in Coby Fleener on a one year deal to possibly stretch the field.
On defense they side they, signed lots of one year deals, Stephen Paea was brought in to back up Shelton, they also signed Nick Fairley to a 1 year deal for depth. Linebacker they signed the 29 yo Mark Barron, he will help in the nickel and the dime situations. Orlando Scandrick, Sam Shields, also signed one year deals but are well past there prime, in a year where the draft is not of depth for the corner back they signed veterans. Eric Reid was brought in to play strong safety, but all of these signings are stop gap. The next article will be about, how the draft was concluded.

Bud Shaw reporting,
The Browns, missed last seasons playoffs in typical fashion, one not did they only not have a losing record, but a blocked field goal is what sealed there destiny as time ran out in overtime. It's typical Cleveland Browns, you might say. Is Coach Brooks, on the hot seat after 3 seasons of failing to not, make the playoffs. We removed ourselves, from last season I typical Browns fashion, if your fan your a die hard. You are used to losing, cold winters, and Lake Erie, but maybe I should give you a hint of small optimism I did say it was small right?
In the next article, I'm going to review position battles, there free agency, and draft will be thourghly reviewed,
