Bud Shaw reporting,

Watching the super bowl, watching the Falcons hold the Lombardi back to back seasons, and Browns fans are getting restless. Will the trend continue, losing season one after another, when loyalty in sports has changed. Sons these days will follow a winner, not there fathers team, not there home team. After all who doesn't want a winner? So we preview the 2019 objectively, as possible with no biased,  well maybe a little. With 62 million cap room, and even more projected for the next season.

Free agency recap, there big trade of the season was moving Todd Gurley, who after a press conference said, Lake Erie smelled like a wasteland maybe the writing should have been seen. However when asked, if he would sign long term after getting the franchise tag he said "straight cash homie", they shopped him quickly after that. Receiving a 1st and 3rd from this years draft and second from next years draft from the lions who can empathize with browns fans.

The big acquisition was, on the first day signing TJ Yeldon running back to a 4 year contract. On the offense it was the only major move. They did sign, right guard Jeff Allen, Right tackle Kyle Long, to bolster there line. As Gary Barnridge ages, they brought in Coby Fleener on a one year deal to possibly stretch the field.

On defense they side they, signed lots of one year deals, Stephen Paea was brought in to back up Shelton, they also signed Nick Fairley to a 1 year deal for depth. Linebacker they signed the 29 yo Mark Barron, he will help in the nickel and the dime situations. Orlando Scandrick, Sam Shields, also signed one year deals but are well past there prime, in a year where the draft is not of depth for the corner back they signed veterans. Eric Reid was brought in to play strong safety, but all of these signings are stop gap. The next article will be about, how the draft was concluded.
