Hello there,
Today we will take a look at the SML's Final 4. Final 4 unbeaten teams that is. The Pats, Jags, Bengals, and Rams are all undefeated at the time of writing this article.
Fucking Matt and his Pats. 5-0 baby nothing wrong with that. Matt is average on offense except in one catergory. Running the football he is second best in the league with 149.4 yards per game. Matt is only allowing 18 ppg on defense. Matt's next 7 games are all tough matchups. I expect Matt to drop at least 2 of the next 7.
Twostep, a man of few words. The Bengals are currently 4-0-1 so an asterisk but, still on my list since he doesn't have a loss. Twostep has been playing solid against bottom tier players this season. Twostep is averaging 26 ppg on offense and only allowing 21 ppg on defense. The Bengals play the Jets and 49ers. I expect Dump to take the dub.
Rd takes a lot of shots by Prime. Rd has been pretty consistent when his RB is healthy. Rd and his Rams have started 4-0. Rd is 1st with 34 ppg on offense. Rd is playing stellar defense and has the top rated run d with 69 (teehee) yards per game. If Rd can keep this up he has a legit chance of staying unbeaten. The biggest challenges are games against meats and two games against Dump.
Last but not least is Bomber and his Jags. 5-0 and blowout wins against Prime and I. Yes, I said Prime. 37-3 blowout and barely being talked about. Bomber's offense is predicated on the not OP running game. 4th with 147 ypg. 19th in passing and 10th in total ypg. Bomber is scoring 31 ppg, 4th best. Bomber's defense is bend but don't break. Only allowing 13 ppg, that's best in the league. Yards can be had but points at a premium.
Out of all the unbeaten teams Bomber has the weakest schedule going forward. If Bomber can beat Prime again and knock off Matt, Bomber could go 16-0. Who do you think will lose last? Do you enjoy articles like this? Let me know! Good luck and have a great day!
Hello there,
We are balls deep into another season. Here are some stats that'll blow your mind! Are ya ready?
Did you know that Carolina's Russell Wilson is leading the league in passing tuddies with 36?! Pair that with a mere 5 ints and the Panthers are a silent killer. Russ is also #2 in yards with 3150.
Keep in mind LT rushed for 28 tds in 2006. 13 games into this season Dalvin Cook has 26. Prime's JT has 25. Matt Breida has 23. Damn boys hope no one is lactose intolerant with all that cheese.
Did you know? That NYT didn't do shit with Hollywood Brown? However, Figgs has turned in 1603 yards last season and currently leads the league with 1433 yards. Hollywood also leads with rec tudders..16?! Way to go Figgs! Live and die by that deep ball baby!
Sacks. We all care about our sacks. Get the all new Lawnmower 4.0 from Manscaped...ahh shit we aren't sponsored. ;) Come on Manscaped I'll do ad reads. Anyway, sacks. Did you know? Myles Garrett, D Buck, and Montez sweat are tied for the league lead with 12?!! Much more realistic numbers than last cycle!
Did you know? I am a subpar Madden player at best. However, even I could win more games with Patty Mahomes and the boys than ZZ, Raider, and Spooky have mustered. Seriously guys, WTF?!?
Did you know? Week 14 Bills @ Lions, WR Tory Wiggins had 3 catches for 195 yards and 3 tudders!? Bruh the cheese is in Canada as well!
Well I think I've wasted enough of your time for one day! Let me know if you enjoyed the article! Have a great day!
Yes, you read the title correctly. The Fazz led Vikings have looked dominant these first 3 weeks. I'm giving them the Hottest Team moniker. Why?
3-0? 40 ppg, 397 ypg, 245 pypg, and 151 rypg. A bend but don't break d. Fazz allows yards but only surrendering 17 ppg (5th) and top 5 in all offensive categories.
Kirk Cousins doesn't give a flying fuck about the COVID and his passer rating is 156.3, 83.6%, 10 tds and get this 0 ints and 0 sacks. Cook has added 333 yards on the ground and 6 tds. He has spread the ball around decently Thielen is the leading receiver with 13 catches, 265 yards, and 3 tds.
With 7 interceptions and a league high 9 sacks the defense is stout. It's a small sample size but the Vikings look like a contender.
The Vikings have a long way to go but do not tread lightly on these Norsemen. Who will knock off the Vikings? Fazz is the hottest team in the SML watch out boys!
Hello there,
What were the biggest Week 1 Shocks in the SML?
Grams 56-28 over Cobra. Grams straight laid it to him. Cobra laid a big ol' turd with 6 ints. Prescott only atttempted 8 passes! Grams gets this weeks Flamin Hot Cheeto award. He was dangerously hot and dangerously cheesy!
Bomber over Prime 27-24. Prime played a turnover free game with rookie QB Eason and threw for over 400 yards. Bomber made a few more plays and sealed the game. Big Dick Bomber exploding all over the GOAT's return. I expect prime to bounce back as he still had a great game. Bomber is a guy to watch out for he's a bit of a swiss army knife.
Meats over Dump 38-21. Jimmy G threw 5 picks. This might be the year where the folding chair is thrown over a bridge. Meats looked like a man possessed or a young guy that discovered porn. Meats had a lot of great plays mainly on defense. No Golden no running game? I expect Dump to bounce back he had a great ground attack but kept trying to force outside throws especially to Kittle.
One of the least talked about upsets, Mike FML getting his cheeks clapped to the tune of 42-14 by Fazz. Mike stats did not look bad only 8-13 165 yards 2 tds and 1 int and 81 yards on the ground by Jones. Kirk Cousins who isn't buying the COVID myth was 16 of 16 283 yards and 4 dots. Cook added 80 yards and 2 tds. I don't know much about Fazz but he could be the next Jonsey/Gov/Sunday as the SML's most dominat/scary user.
That's all I have for week 1. Honorable mention I beat Colt. Winning games is not something I'm used to so I'm going to savor this until I'm 1-1 tonight :( Keep up the good work boys. We are all climbing the mountain and trying to find our footing. If Meats can keep xnxx paused long enough to play his games his dial up may hold up enough for a Simbardi. Hope you enjoyed have a great day!
Dump and his SML Jaguars. The hottest team in the SML? Prior to a week 13 42-17 upset by the Bengals the Jags looked like they would steam roll their way to a Simbardi. Was this game a fluke or did the Jags peak? Too early to tell but let's take a look at one team that has consistently improved year after year.
Dump has only missed the playoffs in one season. Every other season the Jags are in the dance. Dump is not a one pump chump in the playoffs either. However, each playoff season Dump has met his kryptonite..Prime's Colts.
Taking a look at this season. Dump has the #1 offense in nearly every category. 35 ppg (1st), 385.9 ypg (1st), 265.9 pypg (1st), and 120 rypg (7th). Dump has taken Seth Stocker to an elite level. 3423 yards, 65.7% for 28 tds, 16 ints, 29 sacks, and 118.5 passer rating. This season Dump has two headed monster rushing with Fournette 734 yards 12 tds and Gallman 518 yards and 6tds. The passing game flows through DJ Chark 57 rec, 1409 yards, and 13 tds. Herman is turning in a solid season with 39 rec, 809 yards, and 5 tds.
The Jags have a talented roster across the board. A very talented and stingy defense allows Dump to stay ahead of his opponents. This season the Jags are yielding 21 ppg (11th), 227.6 ypg (3rd), 156.2 pypg (6th) and 71.4 rypg (4th). Dump mixes his coverage and times his blitzes well. Dump's user coverage is just as good as any of the best users. Josh Allen pressures the qb with 16 sacks so far this season.
Dump has transformed into a SML elite this cycle. He has tendencies that can be exposed such as being reliant on 5-2 formation to stop the run. If you're able to limit Charks deep plays on offense it forces Dump to look elsewhere and like any other human makes mistakes with 16 ints. Rowin had 5 ints against Dump and I may do a bigger breakdown of that game over the next week.
With all this being said Dump is one of best players in the league. The Jags have one of the best rosters in the league. If Prime misses the playoffs Dump could hoist the Simbardi. Time will tell but for now the Jags are the hottest team in the SML.
Hello and welcome back to the blog. Today we will be looking at the SML Titans. Tiny dick changed his PSN in hopes of regaining his season one mojo. For those of you that are unfamiliar the Titans were in the playoffs season one. The Titans are now lucky to win a game each season. What has changed?
If we look back at that 2019 campaign. The Titans still had Marcus Mariota at qb. Mariota threw for 3508 yards, 30 tds, 25 ints, 59.5% and was sacked 25 times. Derrick Henry rushed for 1213 yards and 10 tds. Corey davis had 47 catches for 1142 yards and 8 tds. Delanie Walker 60 catches and 1042 yards and 7 tds.
From the first time I played Tiny I realized he liked to blitz on defense, hammer the run with Henry and all or nothing throws with Mariota. Not much as has changed for Tiny. Unfortunately for Tiny I feel he is at times predictable and the rest of the league has caught on.
Looking at this season alone Tiny needs to make a change. His numbers across the board are horrible. Offensively 13 ppg (32nd) 220.4 ypg (29th) 167.1 pypg (21st) 53 rypg (31st). Tiny has a good young qb in Reilly Ford, still has Derrick Henry and added Kareem Hunt. The production has just not been there. Tiny is overly aggressive on offense by making too many "chuck and pray," type throws. His running game is too predictable. One thing I feel Tiny does better than most is spreading the ball; AJ Brown 27 rec 641 yards 3 tds, Sharpe 24 rec 499 yards 5 tds, and Brate 27 rec 464 yards 3 tds. Ford is 111 of 246, 45.1%, 2077 yards, 13 tds, 32 ints, and 31 sacks.
This season on defense are dead last in points allowed with 33 per game. The Titans are surrendering over 319 total yards per game which is 28th. Tiny is giving up 197.5 pypg (25th) and 122.2 rypg (29th). The Titans are second worst in the league with 16 sacks and in ints with 11.
Tiny can frustrate you with his style of defense. However, I feel he is too reliant with the blitz at times. As Prime pointed out on SML Breakdown his user coverage is sometimes over reactive and misses plays.
Looking toward the future. The Titans have a poor offensive line, could use some up grades on the front seven and possibly a better receiver. Are all of these shortcomings 100% his fault? No. The competition in the SML is elite and this game is dogshit. However, there are elite players in this league that fine a way to win within the confines of this game. Tiny I hope this helps you in some way. I hope the rest of you enjoyed this article!
On today's episode we will take a look at the SML Chargers. Bluntburner has been a bottom tier team nearly his entire SML career. Fast forward to Madden 20 and he has been one of the most dynamic teams out there. However, the Chargers currently sit at 1-8. Have the Chargers burned out?
Before we can look ahead we need to quickly take a look at the past. The Chargers smoked their opponents with a strong run game and stingy defense. Blunt made the playoffs two of the first four seasons. The other two seasons Blunt was in the hunt.
1-8 is clearly not in the hunt. What has changed? Blunt's sole victory thus far was a Week 2, 28-17 win over the Packers (Lawyer). Key stats to keep in mind; 5-8 147 yds 0 tds 0 ints passing, Gordon 16 carries 158 yards and 1 td.
As we dive further into Blunt's game reviews he has yet to replicate that success. Gordon currently has 122 carries for 624 yards and 4 tds. In totality not bad numbers. However, this does not tell the whole story. In each loss Gordon has not topped 100 yards once. In several instances Gordon was held to under 50 yards on the ground.
Another "tale of the tape." has been the inept passing game. Season totals Sam Darnold is 86 of 155, 55.5%, for 1792 yards, 12 tds, 23 sacks, and 16 ints. While not the worst numbers in the league by any means but not good enough to make a playoff run.
The last category to look at that may be the biggest downfall for Blunt this season has been his defense. Blunt's defense is routinely getting smoked like a blunt at a Snoop Dogg concert. The Chargers are giving up an astounding 32 ppg (31st), 322.7 total yds (20th), been solid agasint the pass 177.6 yds (6th) but, getting gouged with the run ranking dead last with 145.1 yds per game. The Chargers are 29th in the league in sacks with 17. They are 6th in league in fumbles with 4. Blunt is dead last in ints with 4.
We all know the game has changed a lot since launch. Every update makes a player have to adapt. Some players seem unphased others never seem to get back on track. How can Blunt right the ship?
The advice section is always a no brainer but the stats don't lie. Blunt has to find a way to run the ball more effectively on offense. One way of opening up the running lanes is to fire away in the passing game. Is Sam Darnold the answer? I have not watched any of Blunt's games this season. Speaking from previous encounters and looking at the stats. Blunt may need to dial back the blitz and play a heavier zone scheme. Also with the exception of Bosa the Chargers front 7 is average at best. Blunt needs to shore up that part of the roster with a shot in the arm via FA and/or Draft.
Hopefully Blunt can get back on track this season or the only bowl he will be smoking in is the one on his table. What did you guys think? Do you want to see more content like this? Let me know! Also let me know who you want to see featured next or I'll keep picking at random. Thanks for checking it out! Have a great day!
Have you wondered why certain owners are struggling either this season or this cycle more than before? Perhaps you are one of these owners. While there is not a simple answer for every team there are several common factors. I will spotlight one team, Prime's Colts.
15x SML Champ. The GOAT. The Colts are currently sitting at 3-6 this season. A playoff birth is highly unlikely. Prime is coming off of another Super Bowl win. How could Prime go from the best to mediocre after one season?
Prime is known for a bend but don't break style of defense that is propelled by his uncanny user LB ability. However, the Colts are not a very good defensive team right now. Prime is allowing 32 pts per game (30), 343 yards (30th), 212.1 passing yards (26th), and 130.9 rushing yards (29th). None of these stats are impressive or typical of Prime. The question we have to ask is what has changed?
If you take a look at the last game Prime and I just played he has appeared to have made a major fundamental change in his play style. Prime has been on record saying he calls what plays he has always called and he will beat you with them. Nearly every first down in our game Prime called Cover 4. Not a bad defense at all but strange for him to call that nearly every 1st down. To compound this Prime also made several presnap shifts. This behavior is also new to Prime. My guess he wanted to sellout to stop to the run.
The Colts have 23 team sacks on the season which is pretty on par with the majority of the league. The Colts have only forced 20 turnovers this season. 13 ints and 7 fumbles.
I'd have to go back and study the rest of Prime's games to know if this change in defensive strategy is a fluke or a season long occurrence. If this is a game to game decision I think Prime needs to go back to his championship winning game plan.
Prime is still a top 10 offense but these numbers have also slipped. His running game is 93 yds (16th), 27 ppg (10th) 309.4 ypg (11th) 215.9 and pypg (6th). All solid numbers but Prime has typically been top 5.
Prime has went to a new runningback and is doing a fantastic job 770 yds and 8 tds. Luck is 67.2%, 19 tds, 13 ints, and 28 sacks. High sack numbers are common for Prime. He likes to hold the ball and hit the deep shot. His td int ratio is much closer than usual. Over the past few seasons Parris Campbell has become Prime's favorite target. Campbell leads the colts with 30 rec, 729 yds, and 8 tds. Tarrant is the next with 25 rec, 411 yds, and 4 tds.
I feel the lack of turnovers being forced on defense is the biggest factor for the Colts this season. Less opportunities decreases everything. Prime needs to figure out his defensive woes. The offense could be helped by getting Hilton more involved who is having a poor season with 14 rec, 249 yds, and 3 tds.
Can Prime get back to, "creating your own animations." Time will tell. I forsee the Colts on finishing this season strong. The ultimate test will be the rematch against Dump. Dump thumped Prime week 1 and Prime has yet to recover. Let me know if you want to see more content like this! Thanks for checking it out! Have a great day!
Let's preface this article by saying I understand this was ONE game. The first season and first week of meaningful games in the SML. With that being said is it time to light one up and hop on the Bluntburner bandwagon?
For those of you sleeping under a rock or maybe hitting the blunt too hard. Bluntburner is now the Chargers owner. For his Week 1 matchup lined up against the Colts. The Colts are manned by 12x SML Champ the self proclaimed "GOAT" and commish Prime.
All the experts picked Prime by a landslide. This was a game that no way Prime would lose right? Bluntburner was burnt out before it started. But then the unthinkable happened.
Bluntburner shocked the SML by winning and winning 27-16. He did it with smothering run defense and pounding the rock like one of the Kardashians. Bluntburner was 8/9 for 146 yards and 1 int. So, technically he completed all of his passes too! Melvin Gordon was the work horse getting the ball 23 times and amassing 250 yards and 3 touchdowns!
If the game doesn't change drastically and we keep the X Factors enabled. Teams like the Chargers will be dangerous in the SML. Running the ball and pass rushers like Bosa can be deadly.
Was it just one game? Sure, but we tip our hat to Bluntburner and give him some extra recognition. Is he a pretender or contender? Well let's puff puff pass it back to him and find out! Good luck the rest of the season my friends.
The SML Patriots, are often times an after thought in this league. When have the Pats every been relevant in SML history? Over the past two plus seasons the Pats have pushed the envelope and stepped into SML Hottest Team spotlight. How are they doing it?
This season the Pats are averaging 28 points per game (2nd best) and 281.2 yards per game (3rd best) on offense. The Patriots are 9th best in the league on defense only allowing 15 points per game. While they have allowed yards the bend but don't break moniker comes to mind.
The Pats have put up huge amounts of points in some games (43 vs 28 against the Dolphins) and squeezed out tough wins againts formidable opponents (13 vs 10 against the Chargers) in others. The Pats can get it done through the air or on the ground. The Patriots also get after their opponents on defense via smothering pressure.
The Patriots have developed their team by making smart draft decisions and free agents. Toby Wilcox (96 ovr QB), Leonard Higgins (94 ovr SS), and Alvin Kamara (94 ovr HB) are just the highlights of a diverse roster that has been assembled in Foxborough. Between being a savy GM and terrific on the sticks the Patriots are poised to make a championship push. Will the Patriots step into SML royalty? Stezo has the pen in his hand to write the ending to this next statement. The 2023 Patriots are .......................... To be continued
Hello all,
Bringing back the old blog posts. Anyone can do one simple and easy. Today I'm going to do a risers and fallers segment. We are going to focus on the Colts, Texans, and Vikings.
Let's start with the Vikings. NYT is currently sitting at a very respectable record of 8-5. However, he started this campaign at 4-0 before falling to the Eagles in week 5. Since then it has been hit or miss for NYT. NYT appeared to have made the leap into elite status judging by his last two games it would leave you scratching your head. Losing 34-0 to the Patriots in week 13 and 41-27 in week 14, NYT will have to right the ship fast before losing all steam. The Vikings are trending in the wrong direction.
Next up we have the Texans. Whom up until the last two weeks were the SML darling. Oktoba seemed to have the South by its balls. Watson playing lights out on offense arguing his case for MVP while the defense had been playing at a championship caliber level. The Texans rolled into a week 13 contest against the equally impressive Browns. The result left more to be desired. The Texans fell to the Browns 20-0. Week 14 against Prime's Colts was not any better 39-0. The Texans will look to right their recent wrongs against a lowly Jets squad.
This week's riser has to go to Prime's Colts. Prime has spent more time improving his sexual prowess than his madden skills and paid for it dearly. However, with signature wins against Governor's Jags and Okotoba's Texans it would appear that Prime has turned the action replay on for a playoff push.
Agree or disagree with these assessments? Let me know. The old cliche the season is a marathon not a sprint holds true. Who knows what teams will rise and fall through the ranks by season end. Stay tuned and good luck!
December has turned into January in the SML. The grind of the season has some looking forward to next season, plotting their roster moves, coaching decisions, and looking towards the draft to cultivate the next hero of their franchise. For a select few 16 games was part of a journey, not the path to next season but, the path to football glory, the Super Bowl. The only true culmination of a season. These are the SML Playoffs.
It's Wild Card weekend, which pits two division champs against two rowdy teams from the fringe. Two matchups are already complete. Veteran member John5153 steered his Steelers into the playoffs yet again. Having to play division opponent aaron2388 yet again. It was a blood bath 23-20 as the Ravens move on to the next round sending John and the Steelers home early. John exited graciously with this quote, "Steelers lose a good one in the wildcard! Ravens move on!" Just like that we will move on too!
Then there was another game that pitted the Saints and the Vikings against one and another. The Vikings cruised into Wildcard weekend ending Seattle's unbeaten streak and looked to continue their way to SML supremacy. However, the Saints came marching in and a shoot out followed. AJ McCarron had a good game and somehow the Saints overcame his three interceptions as he went on the throw three touchdowns and the Saints won 49-42.
Still to come, Chargers vs Patriots, I have played both of these teams before. New England only lost 1 game last season if I'm not mistaken and can be a power load if you play into his hand. Drock is a relatively new member in the league but quickly took over the west. If he can avoid shooting himself in the foot with turnovers he will give the Pats a run for their money.
The final matchup is Giants vs Cowboys, what can we say here another divisional matchup. Two teams so good they have to meet for a third time. New York started off as hot as you could with a key win against Carolina but finally being knocked from the ranks of the unbeaten by the Colts. The Giants have sustained key injuries on offense and have at times struggled late in the season.
Who will win these last two games? Who moves on to the divisional round? Who will win the Super Bowl and be the next SML champion?....
13, So ominous for a number, signifies bad luck or craziness when it falls on a Friday. But, this 13 is significant for another reason. Not being a beacon for bad luck. No, this is the amount of wins the Seahawks have in the SML this season. A team that only won a total of 5 a year ago. But, why does 13 mean so much to this team?
13 in itself doesn’t mean shit to me. Neither does going undefeated in the regular season, which would be cool but, if I don’t win the Super Bowl was it a perfect season? No, I’d be another smuck sucking balls to be relevant while the champs will be the only one truly remembered.
13 is not significant in itself but it does keep this team, my team on track. The Panthers have only lost one game. It’ll be a cold day in hell and Lucifer himself will roll over in his bed if the Panthers drop another. 16-0 is not only a goal it is a necessity. If the NFC runs through Seattle, I can’t put that to chance hoping they give it to me if I drop a game and finish with the same record as the Panthers.
13 was a pain in the dick to get to, let’s not even talk about the other 12 games let’s talk about this one. A man who cuts hair for a living, Bino the barber, who gives you a run for your money every time you play him. A guy that’s been around since this league was conceived when prime and I had a Madden dream baby.
13 was an exhilarating game, where he started with a punt, I answered with a long td drive and knew the game was just getting started. He scored 14 unanswered. My palms got sweaty down 14-7, pissed I threw away the early lead, but I would answer before half time and tie this bitch up 14-14 we went 21-21 in the 4th exchanging possessions and holding on by a hair, taking the best from one and other. Like 2 heavy weights we slugged it out until around 2 mins in the 4th I was driving and another random damn touch pass cost me the possession. But, would it cost me the game? We have talent at linebacker and Bobby Wagner is a man amongst boys picking it off when we needed it most.
13 was nearly within reach. With under a minute to go Russell Wilson, drove the Hawks down field. My heart pounded as I checked presnap for speed advantages to find none. Each throw was contested and I became uneasy. I caught a break floating a ball to Luke Wilson. Did a run burnt one of his timeouts, and then ran another one, this time for the first time all game breaking tackles inside and getting a first down. Letting the clock wind down to 3 and then letting Brindza kick us to victory.
13 wins is a helluva accomplishment but, we have some mental errors to clean up. Complacency will leave you behind in the league. Bino gave me another fight for the ages but now I have to move on. With a date against Oakland on the horizon 13 may seem like an omen in certain circumstances but to me it’s one step closer to 14 and then 16-0. Not just because it would be a cool thing to achieve no, perfection in the regular season is needed this year. The question is can we do it? Is it an omen or will it be a lucky 13…
A new season, means new beginnings. For some that means righting the misfortunes of the previous season. The 2017 SML Seahawks were a dismal 5-11, staring down the barrel of league suicide, going from the Super Bowl against Prime’s Colts and getting bounced took a toll on the team, from the owner down. They say no happy babies were born in Seattle in 2017, this was a team that butt fumbled so hard that their butt was gaping with epic failure. But, this is not 2017, no, this is 2018, early as it may be the 2018 Seahawks have appeared to flip the script.
After only winning 5 games in 2017 the Seahawks have already topped last season’s win total with a win over the Rams giving the Seahawks 6 wins and a 6-0 start. 2017 Was so bad starting with a piss poor draft that had many fans clamoring for new management or at least a GM and owner that would sleep with a genie to get wishes granted. 2018 started with the draft, the Hawks had the 10th pick they picked running back Pope 10th overall and in the 3rd had a steal of a wideout named Mangum and the two have given the offense the star power they need.
With back to back close wins against the Cardinals and Rams this team is proving they still have what it takes. They said all offseason we are not rebuilding just reloading. Running back Pope had this to say after running all over the Rams, “They call me the Pope! I’m out baptizing these bi*****.” Wow, thanks for the quote Mr. Pope. This team is truly intriguing and star quarterback Russell Wilson has decided to remove his head from his ass and play smarter with the ball.
Will the Seahawks continue this kind of fortune? Will they win the Super Bowl? Hell I don’t know, the season is young and I’m not paid enough to predict the future. One thing is for certain though this team is flipping the script….
On today’s edition of Outside the lines we ask the question; why, do we play Madden? Because it’s a fun and competitive game, it pits two guys against each other for a little over an hour a night to see who comes out on top. SGC is a sim online league like no other. Offering its participants the most realistic gaming experience compared to a NFL game. There’s strict guidelines and rules to keep it sim or realistic. But, how do we keep a game fun? The answer, world class sportsmanship from us the players at all times.
What is sportsmanship? Well, by definition it is; fair play, respect for opponents, and polite behavior by someone who is competing in a sport or other competition. I’ve seen in streams and in games, fun killing behavior. I’ve witnessed players, “rage quit,” from the league due to a loss, I’ve seen participants commit run in playoff games, calling time outs and pushing down the field before halftime when leading by 21+ points, and these are just a few of the many infractions.
What can you do to make it more fun? Follow the rules, not only do they provide a sim experience but, they also help with sportsmanship. Such as, when you’re winning in the 4th run the ball and punt don’t rub it in your opponents face by throwing the ball late. If you’re losing don’t call time outs to delay the inevitable. Some of us have jobs first thing in the morning and we stay up as a courtesy to you to get the game in don’t prolong the game another 5-10 minutes.
Now for our recap, we have rules in place to give us a sim gaming experience that also encourages sportsmanship. We the players have control over how fun this league can be. Do onto others as you would want done onto you. Win with class and lose with class. Good luck, and have a great season boys.
