2023 10YF Pre-Season Preview

NFC SOUTH
Tampa Bay Buccaneers – After an illustrious and highly decorated career ended on a redzone pick in the NFC Championship game for Tom Brady, the Bucs were thought to be headed to the much maligned 'retooling' stage. Some inexplicable circumstances including an assist from a division foe helped them to secure a fresh young arm at the helm. The addition of Bryce Young makes this team immediate favorites for the SB.

Carolina Panthers – How many 9 routes can one team throw? If you ask Syndicate, the answer is all of them. After a disappointing season, this team thought they were more than one player away from being successful and opted to bypass grabbing a franchise QB. The motivations were odd, to say the least, but we'll see how it turns out. We've got them slated for second in the division because frankly, there isn't really another option.

New Orleans Saints – This team is in shambles after an offseason of Skynet being left up to their own devices. Our newest member and yet another disciple of druuw's Canadian coaching tree, Robbietrill is hoping to get some valuable experience and a few easy wins (erm, Falcons) with them. It will certainly be a trial by fire, but the fact that we're finally back to 32 users is enough to celebrate the arrival of this young hero. Let's hope things go his way.

Atlanta Falcons – Heavy sigh... Look at this motherfucker's Discord profile, this dude says he's from Flavortown. What else do you expect from someone that idolizes Guy Frieri and sells pus filled sandwiches out of his musty corner store. We all know how this goes. After shunning sound advice and running Desmond Ridder into the ground, Cavs felt the need to take another QB to ruin in the draft. CJ Stroud, I'm sorry dude, you deserve better. Flavortown. I wish I was kidding. Wash your feet, boy.

NFC EAST
Washington Commanders– After starting last season 3-7 and seemingly down and out. Supreme Leader GodKing KodiiRockets the benevolent and merciful once again went on one of his now patented late season runs. The Commanders rattled off 6 straight to finish the season 9-8 and secure a playoff spot. Somehow, Carson Wentz is back and hoping not to stink up the joint. Commanders in 6.

Dallas Cowboys – A storm is coming, and unfortunately for Alkhalde, this just happened to be during the SB. The 'stick wiggler' may not speak with the bravado that some use in 10YF, instead choosing to be one of the few likeable users in this shit league, he chooses to let his play do most of the dirty work. After losing some key players in FA, we'll see if the new 1-2 punch of Zeke and Darrell Henderson can carry this team to paydirt.

Philadelphia Eagles – After a great start with the Raiders, McNic11 came to the NFC East and seemed to sputter a bit. Acclimating yourself to a new team midseason is tough, but 1/4 of Team Canada seems to have this team ready to roll in his run heavy offensive scheme. We'll see if he has what it takes to keep this team in playoff contention this season.

NY Giants – After ditching Danny Dimes and picking up Will Levis with the #2 overall pick, we all know that even year CoachFlood is usually a problem, the additions of Sean Murphy-Bunting and Mike Gesicki seem to only give credence to this theory. We'll see if the roller coaster continues with the most curious case in 10YF.

NFC NORTH
Chicago Bears – 120 Million dollars in cap space does a team wonders, even better when it's the greatest team this universe has ever known. In one of the stingiest cases of 10YF fuckery, JDzero managed to keep Roquan Smith, as well as add some key players in Javon Hargrave, Leighton Vander Esch, JuJu and Rob Havenstein to the mix with money to spare. This team is clearly in win-now mode.

Green Bay Packers – ARodg has been put out to pasture, his future holds a bevvy of odd, drug related activities, I'm sure, but the bad man is gone. Can Daniel Jones be the next GB Hall of fame QB? Jazzy doesn't think so, but he's added something that this awful looking team desperately needed when WR Brandon Cooks was acquired. This roster looks a lot different than it did at the start of last season. Still, FTP

Minnesota Vikings – After an absolutely maniacal rant about the Vikings to start the NFL season, RW has proven time and time again that he's clearly unhinged. After an 0-4 start, this team cleaned up nicely to scratch and claw their way into a playoff spot in what was a tough NFC playoff race. To no one's surprise, 2 more QBs were drafted in Minny for...something, we suspect another will be drafted next year as well. Who the hell knows what this cat is doing.

Detroit Lions – 10YFs version of Charleston White, Warden has led these Lions to a winning record for the first time since #Capgate. After deciding that the unbelievably gooey arm of Jared Goff is sufficient, the Lions picked up Joey Porter Jr in the first round to help shore up an already stout defense. In another stubborn NFC North manuever, he refused to give TJ Hockenson up in a real life trade after the TE made the Pro-Bowl for his team. Last year they were close, this season, we'll see if they finally get over that playoff hump.

NFC WEST
Seattle Seahawks – While surviving not only disciplinary action from the schoolboard, but also evading an asswhooping from some homosex highschooler, Escobar also managed to get the Seahawks into the playoffs. His vow of running this division in year 2 was ahead of schedule. After a solid run that led Seattle to the playoffs, Geno was handed a clipboard and ousted at QB in favor of rookie Jaren Hall. OBJ is back from injury and adds to an absolutely deadly WR core in the Emerald City.

LA Rams – Holy shit what a disappointment last season was, but all was not lost! That frustration forged one of the most hilarious moments of last season. After blowing a huge lead in GB,  jordandagreat24 took us on a majestic ride to crazyville with a war of words and an educational lesson for us all in what does and doesn't constitute a run commit. If nothing else, this dude has endeared himself to this league by showing that he is one of us weirdos.

San Francisco 49ers –  The only thing worse than having NickySavage's playoff hopes slip through CMC's oddly tiny, weak ass phalanges was the whole league conspiring against him the day that he missed out on a once in a lifetime chance to do some peculiar motion capture activity. Can he channel this vitriol and use it to get back to the playoffs? Will he get another chance to put on a mocap suit? We don't know. But I hope he had a good day at work before reading this.

Arizona Cardinals –  Hey man, I honestly don't know what the hell is going on in Arizona. shonejohn perfectly personifies the real life Cardinals, just...there. I honestly have no clue what happened over there, I'm not even sure he actually played a game. We're not sure what he's doing with the roster composition of his team, but if there was a competition to see who could accumulate the most cornerbacks, this title will be in Phoenix, hands down.

AFC WEST
Denver Broncos – Another Canadian that's proving that they know how to ball north of the wall. Mckenna52 has the Broncos rolling folks. After an impressive playoff run, this team didn't make many splash moves this offseason. The addition of Andre Carter at LB should provide impact in a position of need for a stellar team. These guys are dangerous. Will they continue this torrid pace to establish themselves as the best in the west?

KC Chiefs – A dink and dunk style of offense and heavy dose of the run game is not what you would expect from KC, but Saundco did just that on his way to another playoff run for the Chiefs. With Mahomes contract taking up a huge chunk of the team's cap space, they have to bring a 'ship home before they have to blow this thing up or make some shrewd money moves. It is definitely boom our bust for our resident Kansas City fan.

LA Chargers – A disappointing season in LA may have been one of the factors leading to Sueppels radio silence. Is he shunning the league until he can get back to his winning ways?  A trade that added DT Da'Ron Payne to what was already one of the best defensive lines in the league should help improve his fortunes in a tough AFC West. Maybe he'll join us again once he reaches the playoffs, maybe he just believes he's too good for this league of degenerates.

LV Raiders – After a few years away from the league, CEO_Davis is back at the helm, this time attempting to make something of the Raiders. After losing 3 of his last 4 games and a pitiful showing in the playoffs, it's clear that the rust has yet to be knocked off. After a switch back to 34 and what can only be described as a less than optimal draft, we'll see if this once formidable user can return to form or if the game has passed him by.

AFC NORTH
Cleveland Browns – If self deprecation had a persona, it would be SmashMouthFB33. Never have we had a user continually complain about how bad they suck while continuing to win. After a season that saw Jacoby Brissett lead the team most of the way to a playoff run, we're almost scared to find out what he can do with Mr. Touchy Feely himself under center for a whole season. After claiming to join Suep in a vow of silence, we expect a deep playoff run from this old miserable codger.

Baltimore Ravens –  adot has already been suspected of trying to woo RW into his dolphin rape lair, but after posting video with his nipple and navel showing while wearing what can only be described as male lingerie, we're not sure what's going on with resident mouthpiece of 10YF. Some much needed help for Lamar in the likes of Mike Williams and the corpse of Julio Jones might help this thot to finally fulfill his promise of reaching the playoffs.

Cincinnati Bengals – Things just don't seem right in Cincy, not only is the chilli mid, but born seems to be falling gracefully into a comfortable niche of mediocrity. After multiple seasons without a playoff berth, the question must now be asked, are the best days behind this former perennial playoff user and former multi SB champion? We'll see if he can figure it out and bring that old magic back with this Bengals squad in '23

Pittsburgh Steelers – With DeJohn rounding out this division, it seems that he started to get his sea legs back towards the end of the season. Although the record didn't show it, the Yinzer had Pittsburgh fighting in every game once he was able to rejoin. Now with a full season, we'll see if the combo of Kenny Pickett and George Pickens will add to yet another dangerous QB/WR combo for the steel city in the future.

AFC SOUTH
Jacksonville Jaguars – Few things are certain in life. Death, taxes, and druuw sputtering once the Madden season reaches December. Our spread guru is no stranger to in-season success, but has yet to bring home that elusive title. This Jaguar team didn't seem to have the roster to make a playoff push after a rough start, but once again, the de facto leader of the Canadians found success. He's looking to improve on what was an unlikely playoff run for Jacksonville.

Houston Texans – After a tough season that saw the Texans struggle heavily, Mike D. has added some key pieces in rookie QB Anthony Richardson, RB Tony Pollard, as well as WRs Kayshon Boutte and DJ Chark. This is now a sneaky good team that may just turn this division topsy turvy. Could we have the Texans in play for the post-season for the first time in 10YF history? Stay tuned folks, this dog hunts!

Indianapolis Colts – In what seems to be an Indy tradition, yet another fossil of a QB was added to lead the team, mpunwin is hoping that the FA pick-up of Ryan Tannehill ends the current streak of once great QBs joining the Colts for a year before exiting the league. After falling short in their playoff run, some youth was added to what could be a formidable offense by adding former TCU WR Quentin Johnson. Time will tell if this disciple from the druuw coaching tree will see success this year.

Tennessee Titans – After a disastrous season that saw the Titans go from the #1 seed in the AFC, to the worst record in the league in the span of a season, LORDTHUNDERBIRD has returned and has his work cut out for him. Not only is this franchise trying to erase the stench of Zep's leadership off of it, but they're also in what is now one of the tougher divisions in 10YF. Unfortunately, under the guidance of coach BRICK THUNDERBIRD, we're almost certain that we'll see  #1 overall pick Myles Murphy begging for change at an underpass in the near future. A sad ending before it even began.

 AFC EAST
New England Patriots – And the last shall be first. There's something about letting these quakers play with NE that modifies their powers. In what was the most improbable and unpredictable run in 10YF history, cakes ended his streak of near playoff misses in the best way possible, a SB victory. Now Mac Jones has a bit of help from veteran RB and gadget guy Cordarelle Patterson to help defend his title amongst the wolves at the gate. Can he do it again?

Buffalo Bills – The success of last cycle was not replicated in the '22 season. Even before an injury that ended Josh Allen's season earlier than expected, Knickerbocker struggled last season. Now with no major moves in the offseason, and the inexplicable retirement of Von Miller, we'll see if this Buffalo team can replicate some of the success that they saw last cycle. We'll find out if those playoff runs were a flash in the pan.

New York Jets –  Joey D’s love for the Jets is only surpassed by his penchant for giving the ball away to the other team. MILF hunter Zach Wilson isn't interested in taking care of the ball, he's only interested in throwing picks and sitting games out due to injury. The Jets drafted Will Anderson Jr. to help shore up a defense that underperformed last year. Mekhi Becton has returned from yet another injury, but the question is, for how long?

Miami Dolphins – Now with a full season under his belt, MiiikeMarsh has taken the opportunity to build this Dolphins team his way. The addition of Bradley Chubb, RB Bijan Robinson and WR Rashee Rice should help to provide more firepower to what was already a solid core. We've seen improvement, and now that he's got some experience under his belt, we're excited to see if this season brings success for the newcomer. The only way to go from here is up!

2022 10YF Pre-Season Preview

NFC South
Tampa Bay Buccaneers – After winning multiple Championships with a mediocre roster, el capitan of the infamous Havoc clan, Lynchy has received an upgrade in a Tampa team that’s looking to win it all. Playing in Tom Brady’s swan song season, he’ll look to bring the GOAT his final and most unattainable goal. A 10YF Championship ring.

Carolina Panthers – Grad school has yet to slow Syndicate down in his Madden endeavors. Now after a tumultuous year of trolling, he’s finally back in Carolina where he belongs. Will the addition of Baker Mayfield help, or hurt his chances of returning to 10YF glory? This division is going to be tough, that’s for certain. Will his Cover 2 continue to baffle Lynchy? Stay tuned to find out kids.

New Orleans Saints – Well, the boy is back home. Kui is finally playing with his real-life team. Some say he’s lost a step; some say that his work schedule cleaning up America’s disasters is too time consuming for him to ever return back to his old glory days where he was contending perennially? Can he make Jameis a 10YF contender? Will Meander join his squad again? Why is the sky blue? Why is water wet? So many questions going into this season for our 2nd in command.

Atlanta Falcons – If you’ve paid any attention to 10YF over the years or have had the (dis)pleasure of watching any of Cav’s streams, you’ll know that he’s not here to win. Nope. Acquiring draft picks, saving money and the comradery of the league is what he’s here for. How long will it be before we see Kyle Pitts (The allien) on the block? My guess is sooner than later.

NFC East
Dallas Cowboys
– One thing about Alkhalde, he got time today, cuh! After a SB in the safe mode season, and an ample amount of time to practice for M23, 10YF’s premier ‘stick wiggler’ is prepared to show the rest of the league that stellar DLine play isn’t the only thing that he brings to the table. He has his eyes set on bringing that elusive trophy back to Dallas and looking to prove that they only flop in the playoffs in real life.

Philadelphia Eagles – One thing about bhruuw is that he’s going to bring a solid product to the table every season. Can the old man continue his gritty style of tough defense and efficient offense in Philly after 2 years of playing in GB? One thing is almost certain, after a playoff run last season, these Eagles look dangerous. Let’s hope that injuries can derail this train.

NY Giants –Although CoachFlood doesn’t give a shit about the health of his RBs after they play, he does care about winning, unfortunately his roster make-up doesn’t seem to be built for that at this juncture. Can he find a way to make this Giants team competitive this season? Probably. Will Saquon finish the season off of IR?

Washington Commanders–Grace, class, intelligence, all in a lovely and dashingly handsome package. KodiiRockets has exemplified everything that not only a Madden user, but a man should be. Unfortunately, Carson Wentz deficiencies may be too much for this great man to overcome this season, but this team will be a tough out, that’s for sure. Time to go full Commando!

NFC North
Green Bay Packers – Leading our only division that has all 4 users playing with their favorite team brings an added element to the 10YF skreets. After another 10YF Championship year, can Jazzy hold serve in the NFC Norris? Or has the Ayahuasca gotten the best of ARodg and his better days are behind him? In Skunkgrass we Trust. Still, FTP.

Chicago Bears – After a tumultuous cycle with the Rams that saw Daniel Jones not only traded for, but resigned, can JDzero overcome his roster building issues with one of the worst teams in the league? I doubt it, but we’re rooting for him anyway since he has the greatest team in the world. #BearDown

Minnesota Vikings – Occasionally popping in the chat with some side eyed comment is RWs best feature, that’s if you discount Minnesota’s perpetual state of mediocrity during his 10YF tenure. He’s doing a bang-up job of keeping things ‘sim’ in that regard. Can an improved offense get him over the hump? Eff this team. Bears in 6

Detroit Lions – Can 5 episodes of Hard Knocks be what AngelicProphet needs to bring GRIT to 10YF’s Detroit baby cubs? One thing is for certain, even if the record doesn’t show it every season, everyone knows that they’re in for a dogfight when Detroit is on the schedule. Nothing is given. If this is the team that can and will, what can they do? What will they do? Nothing probably, but Warden will have these bums ready to play every Sunday, for sure.

NFC West
LA Rams
 – Last year’s SB winners have an owner that’s unfamiliar to most in 10YF, but jordandagreat24 has championship pedigree from another league and he’s looking to bring his winning ways to the Rams this year. Can he fend off the rest of the NFC West to claim a title here? We’ll see if he can succeed #NewGuy

San Francisco 49ers – nickysavage hates everything every other day about this game, if he’s not winning, he’s whining. But playing with his hometown team, he continually proves to be a tough out every season of every cycle.  Between wrestling and band practice, he still finds time to be an absolute menace on the sticks. Perhaps this is the year that he brings the title back home to the bay.

Arizona Cardinals – After an interesting cycle in MIA that saw shonejohn quit the league, then backtrack within 12 hours, then proceed to have them fighting for a playoff spot, we’ll see if the Cards are a better fit for 1/3 of the born family clan. This division will be tough, for sure.

Seattle Seahawks – Will playing in 4,845 offline rebuild franchises be enough to keep this awful Seahawks team out of the cellar this season? I doubt it. Escobar certainly has enough team building experience to do so, but we feel the roster may hold him back and keep these Seahawks in a tough spot all season long.

AFC WEST
KC Chiefs – Saundco is back with his home team. Can he navigate the arms race that is the AFC West with the loss of his biggest weapon? Can he hold off the Canadians in his division to keep the winning ways going in KC? This division is going to be an absolute battle all cycle and who knows how this one will go this year.

LV Raiders – Last cycle saw McNic11 take a Jaguars squad from the cellar of 10YF to a playoff team in our safe mode season. This year he’s in Las Vegas with a lot of new weaponry after the Raiders off season acquisitions. I suspect this team is going to do quite a bit of damage this season, but we’ll see how this goes.

LA Chargers – After a switch to the NFC, our resident schedule nazi Sueppel is back in the saddle as the owner of the Chargers. This division is tough and after a late start, we’ll see if he’s prepared for what’s to come in what looks like the only division that very well could have 4 playoff teams in it. I wouldn’t want to play any of these teams twice per season, that’s for damn sure.

Denver Broncos – Mckenna52 struggled out of the gate last cycle, but he ended up acclimating himself to our league and ended up being an extremely tough out. This season, he’s here from the start and will be able to build his team as he pleases. Will the addition of Russ be enough to get him over the hump in this division? Broncos Country let’s RIDE!!!

AFC North
Cincinnati Bengals – After an absolutely underwhelming cycle, born is back and hoping to help last year’s SB runner up to finish the job. A rebuilt line in Cincy might be enough for him to piece it back together and get back to his winning ways. Unless there’s a surprise from one of the other teams in the AFC North, he might run away with this one division.

Baltimore Ravens – Worst internet in the league? Check. Most hated in the league? Now that coach Mac is in baguette heaven, Check. What adot lacks in skill, he more than makes up for in league chatter.  This year’s promise is that he will bring this team to playoff glory, we’ll see if once again, he ends up with the proverbial pie in the face.

Pittsburgh Steelers – Our resident educator DeJohn has seen a marketed decrease in production over the past few cycles, we’re just happy to have him back after a tumultuous real-life year. Will he roll with the yinzer native rookie at QB, or the titty kisser? We’ll find out soon enough what this team can do this season.

Cleveland Browns – Hard times for SmashMouth after ageing out of using his beloved Cowboys. The good thing is that he can no longer blame Dak for his lack of passing prowess, now he has…gulp… Jacoby Brissett. This season will be rough until Watson returns, but he likes to run the ball and he can do that in gobs with Chubb and Hunt. This may be our biggest surprise of this division.

AFC South
Indianapolis Colts
 – An apparent obsession with Philip Rivers isn’t the only thing ¼ of our Canadians, mpunwin brings to the table. He likes to run that rock, with Jonathan Taylor getting a real QB with the acquisition of Matt Ryan, this team may be contending for a 10YF SB this year. There’s hope in Indy that “Big Phil” will lead these Colts to the promised land.

Tennessee Titans – After removing the Havoc clan from his name, Zep is looking to start anew. After drafting Malik Willis last cycle, he’s back with his guy, but the word on the streets is that making himself a threat with King Henry this cycle is the only way to keep him from throwing 40 interceptions per season. I don’t know if this is true, I only know what I’ve heard. Don’t shoot the messenger.

Jacksonville Jaguars – Throughout his tenure, druuw has proven 2 things. He’s a formidable foe and builds a solid team and collapses when the weather gets cold. Will bringing his spread offense to Jacksonville provide enough of a culture change to Duval County to make this team a winner? Or will this roster be too much for him to overcome? I think the former, but we’ll see.

Houston Texans – From the Jets last cycle to the Texans in TWO leagues this year. One thing is for certain, Mike D. is a glutton for punishment folks. This team is awful, nothing good to say there. I don’t know any man with the mental fortitude to help this awful franchise improve. We’ll see what can be done to build solid foundation in Houston this year. A tall task, to say the least.

 AFC EAST
Buffalo Bills – Knickerbocker ended up making this Buffalo team his last cycle. He’s back in the saddle with them and looking to rule the AFC East with an Iron Fist. Honestly, we’re not sure if any of these other teams can compete with Dawson Knox, let alone the addition of Von Miller to this team. Buffalo thinks this may be their year to bring the hardware home.

New England Patriots – Our last member of the Havoc clan, Cakes is in New England with his lord and savior McCorkle Jones leading this team. Can he continue the success that the Patriots saw last cycle? Will he continue his fringe playoff run as he did last cycle? Stay tuned for these and other exciting developments in NE this season.

New York Jets – Sometimes we watch our friends in abusive relationships, there’s nothing we can really do, but watch it happen and wish for the best for them. After leaving this relationship and seeing success last cycle, like most abusive situations, Joey D’s love for his Jets has him back at the helm of this god awful franchise. Another season, another Beckton injury. This franchise is snake bitten and we all know it.

Miami Dolphins – Another new user playing with is home team. MiiikeMarsh is looking to bring his success in 2K to the gridiron. There’s a saying that "in life, you never lose, as long as you don’t lose the lesson”. We’re not sure how much winning our newest addition to 10YF will be doing this season, but one thing is for certain, there will be a LOT of lessons learned in MIA this year. Godspeed and good fortune, sir!

2023 10YF Pre-Season Preview

NFC East
Washington FT – Two words folks, in Ta’Amu we Trust! Wait, that’s more than two words? Oh, well two words, Jordan fucking Ta’Amu. Ruler of all that he surveys. Asogikoii’s team can be simply identified by its rags to riches story at QB. Can WFT repeat as SB Champs? Will Ta'Amu finish his 2nd full campaign at the helm with back to back passing titles? I think this division, and quite possibly, this league now belongs to Washington. I for one, accept our new DC overlords.

Dallas Cowboys – Is this the year that we see the back to back NFC East champs knocked off of their pedestal? Will Zeke continue to truck his way through the league before Smash’s right stick breaks off from his controller? How many times will he talk about Dak’s throws in chats during his games? We’ll see how the ‘boys bounce back after their divisional loss in the playoffs last year.

Philadelphia Eagles – Zep’s unconventional move of trading a QB on a rookie deal and using 3 first round picks have seemed to work out EXTREMELY well for Philly. Will Malik continue trending in this direction? The sky seems to be the limit for this kid. With the retirement of Brandon Brooks, this stellar line looks to keep their 2nd year Quarterback well protected and ready to make another run at the playoffs this season. This division is going to be tough folks.

NY Giants – With one year under Matt Corral’s belt, will this equate to a better finish for the G-Men? In addition to having what pundits declared 2023’s best draft, Chris Jones could be a key addition to help shore up a defense that was in the bottom 3rd in most statistical categories, leaving New York just on the outside looking in at the playoffs. Will the momentum of a strong late season push be carried over into camp? Does this team have enough to get over the hump in a division that featured 3 playoff teams? Hmm.

NFC West
Seattle Seahawks
– A season that started out 3-8 and had everyone in Seattle questioning whether it was time to blow it up and start over again, somehow, inexplicably ended up in a close loss to the eventual SB champs in the NFC Championship game. We’re still trying to figure that out. We’ll see how much the loss of HOF MLB Bobby Wagner will affect this team’s fortunes this year. As usual, #SeahawksIn6

LA Rams – One of the most baffling moves of last season was Rams owner jdzero choosing to release Matt Stafford after trading for perennially mediocre QB Daniel Jones. Like whaaat? ‘Danny Dinero’ seemed to be the move this team needed. LA rallied around their new leader with the ‘slow’ face as well as a rededication to the run game to finish juuuust short of a NFC West crown in what was one of the most disappointing divisions. Poor baby. #SeahawksIn6

San Francisco 49ers – I’m just going to be honest here. This season’s offering from our boys in the bay was putrid and embarrassing for all involved. NickySavage does a ton of complaining, about literally everything, but in that, he’s usually fighting for a spot in the big dance at the end of the season. If 10YF seasons were tests, we’d remove last season from nicky’s grade, this was an anomaly of fuckall of EPIC proportions. We’ll see if these 9ers can piece it back together. Yet and still #SeahawksIn6

Arizona Cardinals – Our former brethren Saundco is back after finally getting a PS5. We’re happy to welcome him in a division that’s oddly been a turnstile of owners this cycle. After Arizona admins missed the memo that Free Agency had started, and missing out on some big name signings the first week of FA, can he re-acclimate himself to the game quickly enough to make a run at the playoffs this season? Let’s hope he’s the cog that brings this division out of the cellar. #SeahawksIn6

NFC North
Green Bay Packers – This is getting tiring at this point. We’d all assumed that A-Aron was the catalyst driving this well-oiled machine in ‘Titletown’ (ugh). This didn’t appear to be the case, as Jordan Love stepped in and didn’t miss a beat in the regular season, leading to a 12-5 record. Unfortunately, he didn’t miss a beat in keeping up the Packers now traditional, annual playoff collapse. Can they pull it off this year, lord, let’s hope not. Virtually or not, no one wants to see ‘the Pack’ win anything of significance, ever.

Minnesota Vikings – This is looking like the only real comp for GB in this division right now. For better or worse, 3rd year QB Kellen Mond has seemed to entrench himself in the position of QB1 in Minny, is that enough to get him to the playoffs after 2 seasons on the cusp? The addition of Darius Slay via trade may be the Davante stopper this team needs to establish itself in this division. This is the year to make that move, as RW and the Vikes have some key FAs to evaluate going into next season. Looks like now or never.

Detroit Lions – After another season of fighting for every inch, the Lions came up short. Last year’s 1st overall pick Kayvon Thibodeaux spent most of the season in the training room, will this be another story of a kid that’s clearly got what it takes to play at this level, but just can’t stay healthy? Time will tell. Warden has proven that this Lions bond is about family, this was further reinforced with the addition of Penei Sewell’s younger brother, MLB Noah being added to the squad with the 11th pick in the draft. Another season of Goff, another disappointment? Probably.

Chicago Bears – Another late season letdown from Chicago, hey, what’s new? This marks 2 years in a row for the people’s gold name. Kui has these Bears scrapping in the early season, but for one reason or the other, things seem to fall apart in the end. I’m not sure we’ll see our former champ return to greatness at this point. Can he prove us wrong and meet the expectations of what should be one of the toughest divisions in 10YF? Possibly.

NFC South
Tampa Bay Buccaneers – This was almost disastrous, last year’s review said SB or bust for this team, ‘22 was definitely the latter. After somehow, inexplicably losing twice to division loudmouth Panthers, Born was able to reel it back in and put things together for an end of the season run that culminated in an early playoff ouster. TB12 is back, he’s ready to take what’s his, for one last ride. #TB12 Revenge season confirmed.

New Orleans Saints – Alright folks, these boys down in NO are legit. No doubt about it. 2nd year QB Grayson McCall is looking primed for some playoff experience and poised to make a run at the crown. The additions of HOF MLB Bobby Wagner, and WR Jarvis Landry show that Alkhalde clearly has his eyes set on the ‘ship. They’re close, but they’re going to end up needing as much help as they can get for what’s rounding out to be one of the tougher divisions in the league.

Atlanta Falcons – After removing one of our most esteemed members, clearly in an effort to take over his team, evil schedule Nazi Sueppel has taken over the reins in Atlanta. 2nd year starter Sam Howell has received some help, and last season’s division winner has added RB Aaron Jones to pair with rookie stalwart Zach Charbonnet, to demonstrate what is clearly the deadliest rushing attack in 10YF. With the team switching from 34 to 43 this year, it was clear that the defense was holding this team back. Dirtybirds are a force to be reckoned with.

Carolina Panthers – DimeSZN didn’t seem to be enough. Although our Panthers owner ADot clearly has the chops to hilariously talk a good game, will he be able to back it up this year? We clearly see growth in his game, but will that growth, coupled with Jalen Hurts on again/off again playing help get him over the hump? The trade of Carson Strong shows that not even he believes that. Will this new rivalry with the 49ers fuel this team enough to make some noise in the NFC? If you ask ADot, you’re damn right it will, because he’s pushin’ P. At the time of writing, we still have yet to determine what ‘P’ is.

AFC EAST
New England Patriots – After what was an incredibly disappointing first round exit at the hands of the Chiefs, our resident Pats Stan and leader of the HAVOC clan, Lynchy, is out for blood. Although the Patriots didn’t seem to address their off-season concern of adding a big name WR, they did add some pieces and are always deadly. Our 2021 champs come into the season with a lot more comp to deal with in the AFC East, more importantly, the TE’s that roam this division seem to be the only thing that could possibly stop keep him at bay.

Miami Dolphins – Never in the history of football has a TE put up a season more prolific than what Mike Gesicki just did. After leading the league in receptions, yardage, and TDs, we can’t imagine what’s in store for us for the 2023 season. A strained cap situation may help to dismantle what was looking to be the start of a powerhouse in the East. The games aren’t only played on the field kids, there’s some accounting work and cap management needed as well. The remnants of this team will be ravaged.

Buffalo Bills – Is Josh Allen in love with Dawson Knox? Is he aware that Steph Diggs is on his team as well? Obviously those questions aren’t important to Knickerbocker, as he saw his first appearance in the playoffs last season. This team came to play every single week, a surprising season ending in a Divisional loss has left these Bills hungry for more. We’ve got a battle for Northeastern USA ladies and girls!

New York Jets – Ohhh Joey, Joey, Joey…What can I say here folks? After a scorching hot 4-0 start that had many in the league believing that that Jets had finally turned that corner, our heroes from East Rutherford could only muster 2 more wins of the 13 that remained, finishing the season 6-11. On the upside, NY saw both Safeties represent them in the Pro-Bowl, and with the addition of Mitch Morse at C, the Jets hope to take last year’s early momentum into the new season. Season 4 is STILL not here yet.

AFC WEST
Denver Broncos – Alright, druww has quickly proven that he is indeed, ‘bout that action boss’, since joining us for the new cycle, druww has quickly brought his (low)pass first philosophy to Denver and is showcasing the west coast passing game in a way that would make Bill Walsh blush. The issue seems to be that fatigue and colder temperatures in December seem to hold this team back in the late season and the playoffs, as the Broncos seem to flutter a bit in the big show. This may be the year that those playoff demons are exercised in the Mile High city?

LV Raiders – We tried to warn you boys, every shit season with these Raiders is followed by a good one, and Las Vegas showed that to be true last season by earning the top seed in the AFC at 15-2. The unfortunate side of that, is what usually comes after a good season…Is the divisional collapse a sign of things to come in the new season? Will CoachFlood and the Silver and Black continue their rollercoaster of alternating winning and losing seasons? We’ll see if ARodg still has what it takes to compete at the highest level in the toughest conference in the League.

KC Chiefs – After losing a heated battle with the Bucs in FA last season, this year, the Chiefs finally have their guy. “Lordarelle” Patterson has been added to Jazz’s fold and provides an additional weapon to future HOF QB Patrick Mahomes. After dealing with a litany of issues at the WR position, KC was able to overcome one of the leagues toughest schedules, as well as road in the playoffs as the 7th seed, only to come up short in the SB. They’re re-tooled on D and as ready to rock, will it be enough to make another SB run?

LA Chargers – Our newest member to the family, mpunwin(whatever the fuck that means) has an arduous road ahead of him, welcome to hell kid! The Chargers have made some offseason moves that were big, no doubt. How much success they’ll see with the addition of Chris Carson, as well as an off-season trade that saw SD/LA staple Keenan Allen dealt for draft capital. Some recalibration was obviously needed in LA to get over the proverbial hump. Only time will tell if they can they surprise us and hold their own in the best conference in the league.

AFC North
Cleveland Browns –After re-signing Baker Mayfield, the Browns were obviously feeling dangerous, and came through with one of the biggest surprises in 10YF, finishing the ’22 season 3rd in the AFC at 12-5. Due to an unfortunate technical error, their playoff game was not able to be broadcast, so no one knows what happened in their Wildcard loss against the Bills. No stats, no record of it, nothing, as if it never happened. I can’t even believe I’m saying this, but Cavs may be the best user in this division. Yeah, I know, let that sink in for a minute. I feel dirty even saying this, pardon me while I go shower.

Baltimore Ravens – After 2 straight seasons ending in disappointment and missing out on the playoffs, the Ravens owner Escobar decided it was time for a change in Baltimore. The writing was on the wall when there was only a 2 year offer made for Lamar Jackson, and our suspicions were confirmed once the league’s most exciting player was moved in a deal for draft capital, as well as what many in the Charm City feel is their QB of the future in former Heisman Winner Desmond Ritter. With the additional draft capital, the Ravens loaded up with a bevy of talent on defense, which might be just what the doctor ordered.

Cincinatti Bengals – Somehow, someway, Skynet has managed to not only compete in this trash division, but for a time they were busting ass. As cruel as the Madden gods are in keeping us from filling this team with a user. We march on, robo Big Dick Joe is back again and this time, he’s serious. Besides stealing Blind Bid players and making the dumbest fucking draft picks ever, there’s really not more that I can say about this team but F*** YOU EA. Fix this bullshit.

Pittsburgh Steelers – Sometimes you choose the right guy, sometimes you don’t. But for LEGEND OF NYC, neither of these were the case. He inherited 1st round pick Carson Strong and blames him for the ineptitude displayed in Pittsburgh last season. After what was an abysmal start, the Steelers were able to pull out a win and possibly gain some momentum going into next season by ending an awful ’22 campaign with a win to finish 1-16. #1 overall pick Bryce Young is the future of the franchise. What that future entails? We’ll find after commercial break, on 10YF today.

AFC South
Tennessee Titans – I…I seriously don’t know wtf is going on with this division. It would seem that Syndicate and the Titans had what was by far the easiest road to a division title, but let it slip through their grasp. With that in mind, the Titans have absolutely LOADED UP on offensive talent, making a blockbuster deal for QB Lamar Jackson for starters. The addition of Diontae Johnson and Austin Hooper in the mix with Julio and AJ Brown shows that clearly, this team has something to prove this year.

Indianapolis Colts – A 3-8 start did not deter gphenom, these Colts fought hard, and after a mid-season QB change from and aging Matt Ryan, it seems that Jacob Eason is the guy in Indy. The 4th year QB helped the horsies to overcome their tough start and win this division last year at…6-11. After adding veteran WR Keenan Allen to couple with rising star Michael Pittman Jr., it proves that this Colts team isn’t just about defense and missing FGs. They’re here to compete.

Houston Texans – The Texans showed up every game last season, unfortunately, in this league, showing up isn’t enough. Because of the putrid nature of this division, Houston was in the playoff hunt late in the season. Even though they finished w/ 6-11 record, they were in a 3 way tie for the lead in the godforsaken AFC South. Pairing veteran Melvin Gordon with 3rd year phenom Nate McCrary will help to shore up the running game a bit more. Key additions of Jason Kelce and Kendrick Bourne may help this team see more success this year.

Jacksonville Jaguars – Another HUGE surprise last season was the Frenchman and his Jags. Not only did this team struggle to the tune of 3-14, there were many rumblings around Jacksonville that perhaps Trevor Lawrence was not the man we thought he was. As crazy as it sounds to say following a season this terrible, the Jags are our playoff dark horse. I have a sneaking suspicion that they may climb their way from the 2nd worst team in the league to at the very least a spot in the Wildcard. Viva la France or some shit.

2022 10YF Pre-Season Preview

AFC EAST
New England Patriots – The evil empire is officially re-tooled and reloaded. Lynchy came, he saw, he conquered. Now with a target on their backs and a much improved AFC East, let’s see if McCorkle and crew can repeat as back to back champs and officially restart a Patriots dynasty. Stay tuned.

Miami Dolphins – Jacoby Brissett proved that he was who Shonejohn thought he was. After an unexpected season long injury to Tua, the Dolphins weren’t able to gain much momentum in the 2021 season. Will the key additions of veteran DT Calais Campbell, as well as James White help bring more success to this team? We think so folks.

Buffalo Bills – A team that saw their run game sputter throughout 2021 added what could be a key addition with RB Melvin Gordon joining the team via free agency. This might be the improvement needed to supplant the Patriots as the top of the AFC East. Can knickerbocker’s new offensive scheme be the key? Or will it be another quick ouster from the playoffs? Time will tell.

New York Jets – After Mekhi Becton’s staph infection was cleared, the best draft in 10YF, and the addition of Robert Woods, this dog looks ready to hunt! Can Joey D be patient enough with his offense and take the short check downs instead of looking for the deep ball? I doubt it, but we’ll see. These games should be a bit more interesting with the talent the Jets are putting on the field after an abysmal 3-14 season. Is season 4 here yet?

AFC WEST
LA Chargers – Some key acquisitions via trades brought some stud veterans to the California sunshine. LT Bryan Bulaga and DT Fletcher Cox help shore up both sides of the ball in a major way. After being oustered in the first round, it’s clear that Sueppel is back for blood in what looks to be one of the toughest conferences in 10YF. Will this be enough? Stay tuned on…as the 10YF turns!

KC Chiefs – $500 million dollar QBs are all well and good, but what does that leave for the rest of the team? Jazz seemingly navigated cap hell as well as he could this off-season while still keeping this KC roster competitive. The core is intact, the supporting cast and the additions of RBs Raheem Mostert and Ty Montgomery may just be enough to get him back to the AFC Championship.

Denver Broncos – Talk about turning shit into syrup folks. Druww has done nothing but impress since he’s joined this garbage league. He’s not only held his own in one of the toughest divisions, but was leading it before a late season stint that saw the Broncos lose 4 out of their last 6 games before the playoffs. He did put up a fight, but was bested by the eventual SB Champion Pats. The young WR core looks to be improved, Teddy two gloves is resigned and ready to take this team back to the playoffs.

LV Raiders – Seriously, who in the hell knows. The largest off-season acquisition of Aaron Rodgers seems to be exactly the jolt of life this team needed to return them back to glory. Even with the unfortunate departure of Henry Ruggs, this team should be able to work well off of the play action game, if Josh Jacobs doesn’t get 400 carries himself. The on again off again Raiders seem to be trending upward this year, it’s seems like this will be the 12-5 year on this crazy roller-coaster of an owner. Time will tell.

AFC North
Baltimore Ravens – An 11-6 finish saw Escobar at the top of this division last year. After a disappointing 1st round loss, the Ravens bring more talent at wideout to the fracas with the addition of former Cardinal pass catcher Christian Kirk. Will the man with the most experience playing Skynet this year have what it takes to remain at the top of the North?

Cincinatti Bengals – Skynet has spent YEARS trying to tear down 10YF internally, as usual, but this time they decided they want to play IN season. We’ll see what robo big Dick Joe has in store for the league, can the other obsolete human foes in the AFC North keep them from being at the top of this division? 4 words. THE.END.IS.NIGH

Cleveland Browns – Brains, braun, beauty? This man has none of them, but one thing Cavs does have is a penchant for trades. Will he continue to try to blame Baker for succumbing to his tendency to throw deep balls once again? Will he try to find success with one of the best RBs in the game? What started out as a promising season ended up in normal fuckery, and had some pundits questioning if the Browns were tanking. No one knows. We all just watch in awe.

Pittsburgh Steelers – After bowing out last cycle, Legend of NYC is back and is ready to compete.  He’s got Rookie QB Carson Strong on the roster, possibly a replacement for Big Ben, along with the free agent addition of Pittsburgh native John Connor, who should help immensely as Skynet is now a divisional foe. I’ll see myself out…

AFC South
Tennessee Titans – Julio is a year older, King Henry’s usage has seemingly decreased, Tannehill is done. Can Heisman winner Desmond Ridder be what the Dr. ordered to make last year’s run to the AFC Divisional round more fruitful? Syndicate would like to think so, always a SB threat, this team should be able to make a deep run this year barring any unforeseen setbacks.

Jacksonville Jaguars – 15+ hours working on his draft board. Our most dedicated member is a pain both in the chat and on the field. With a few key pieces in DJ Chark and Travis Etienne being available for a full season, our resident Frenchmen in the UK, CoachMac may be looking to bring this team to the playoffs this year. Can he withstand the constant onslaught in the chat to make a playoff run year two with these Jags? Possibly.

Indianapolis Colts – The stars may have aligned for our Colts owner here, boasting the most Superstar players on any team for some odd reason, gphenom with Matty Ice at the helm is a match made in heaven. We’ll see if he can get out of his own way enough this season to see success in Indy.

Houston Texans – RB Nate McCrary surprised a lot of people by beating out all newcomers for AFC Rookie of the year, akidnamedpat, is entrenched in this Texans life. With some late season improvement, and a ton of speed at wideout with the addition of Isaiah McKenzie to add to Brandin Cooks at WR, this division just got a bit tougher for all this year.

 NFC East
Washington FT – Ta’Amu is love, Ta’Amu is life! We could talk about the key FA additions of Fournette, Ricard, and Akiem Hicks to illustrate the improvements this team has made, but why would we do that when it’s clear that Jordan Ta’Amu is the talk of the town in DC. We’ll see if he holds steady in his second season as starter for WFT make something happen in the playoffs.

NY Giants – Jones out, Carr in, Corral in, who in the hell knows what’s going on in NY folks. One of our newest members is finding out that this league isn’t just hike and fling it, some key victories late in the season saw the Giants fighting for a wildcard spot after an abysmal start. One thing’s for sure, there is more comp in the NFC Least this year. For sure.

Dallas Cowboys – One of the most surprising turnarounds we saw last season was Smashmouth winning the East with a 12-5 record on the strength of MVP Zeke Elliot’s truckstick. Can he keep up this pace while playing a 1st place schedule? This division is full of fuckery and this season should be even more of that.

Philadelphia Eagles – Heavy sigh… Trading a budding QB on a rookie deal is something you literally NEVER see in the NFL, but hey, we try to let the kids do as they please, I guess. We’ll see if Malik Willis at the helm will get this squad where Zep is trying to go. I think he might find out the hard way that there’s a difference between playing Madden and playing in a Madden league.

NFC West
LA Rams – Taking over his father’s old business, jdzero will look to have this Ram’s team humming very soon. We’ll see how the cap issues manifest themselves and whether his stick skills will be enough to keep this team on the top of the division for long. This man has proven to make every team in his 10YF tenure a playoff contender and a threat for the title.

San Francisco 49ers – After freestyling the best SB song in 10YF history, nickysavage proves that there’s more to him than wrestling and complaining about madden games. He looks to have this 9ers team back on track and is returning to his glory days as a perennial 10YF playoff team. Can the return of Dre Greenlaw offset the loss of Trent Williams? Are the rumors from Trent true about a truly toxic lockeroom with an overwhelming smell of man musk? Things get wild in SF ladies and gents. Sheesh.

Seattle Seahawks – I mean, how many adjectives can we use to describe greatness, we’re not talking about the team here, we’re talking of the man behind the sticks. Seriously, just an all around stud folks, the guy you want to be around, the guy you want your kids to be. Oh, and he’s returning 10 starters from the number 1 defense in the league last year. #GoHawks

Arizona Cardinals – A former 10YF champ returns to prove that Ed Oliver isn’t the only one who can average an ungodly 2 sacks per game. We’ll see what he can do with Midget Kyler facing 3 playoff teams in his division and find out whether he can hold his own in what was one of the more solid divisions. With this addition, this rounds out what could be one of the more well rounded divisions in 10YF.

NFC North
Green Bay Packers – King of the North! King of the North! After completing the first ever undefeated season in 10YF history, bhruuw has showed nothing but class and grace in every shape form and fashion. No complaints about him, barely a complaint from him. This man plays games, well, and let’s all the rest of you losers do the talking. We’ll see if Jordan Love really is the next big thing in GB, he’s got humongous shoes to fill.

Chicago Bears – A key trade that brought OBJ to Chicago may be just what the doctor ordered, Kui is back home with his Bears and seems to be getting back to his old winning ways. After barely missing the playoffs last year following a late season meltdown, the Bears may have all they need to make this the 2nd toughest division in the league.

Minnesota Vikings –  This division legit has some 10YF dogs in it, wow, another case of a slow start to the season, RW was certain that Kirk Cousins was not the answer and chose to move on from that hefty contract. Another first for 10YF was Dalvin Cook finishing the whole season without a major injury, if this remains the case, the NFC Norte is going to be an absolute gauntlet.

Detroit Lions – 1st overall pick Kayvon Thibodeaux wasn’t the only splash move in the draft, WR Chris Olave was also added to this Lions team that fought hard for every inch, every game. The Lions 6-11 record in no way showcased the brand of knee biting football that Warden has brought to the Motor City, we’ve seen this team reach the playoffs under his helm before. We just may see our first division with 4 playoff teams.

NFC South
Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Welp, he’s officially back. I think we all know that a SB runner up finish last year will only fuel the fire for Born, he’s back this year and looking to finish what he started in TB. After trying to grab literally every WR in free agency, no doubt this team is built to air the rock out. SB or bust.

New Orleans Saints – In another absolute shocker during the restart, Alkhalde was playing possum. This Saints team went from nothing to legit playoff contenders last season on the back of Alvin Kamara. The loss of Cam Jordan may prove too much an obstacle to overcome in this pass heavy division, but the addition of rookie QB Grayson McCall is what N’awlins is hoping will help get them to the next step.

Carolina Panthers – A blockbuster trade for QB Jalen Hurts is what Adotleon needs to see his team take that leap forward. After posting pictures in the chat of himself with some rando thots, he almost seems human to us now, our reddit wildling is becoming a main character, love to see it. Will his strategy of R1 on offense and Dime SZN on defense be enough to get him into the big show at the end of the season? I wouldn’t be surprised actually.

Atlanta Falcons – In Sam Howell we trust! That’s the motto in ATL these days, after shedding Matty Ice’s Albatross of a contract, Rbanks seems to heading in the right direction. CoachMac’s mancrush on Kyle Pitt’s is about the only thing in this league that’s more impressive than Pitt’s phenomenal production itself. I think we’ll see some improvement from these dirty Birds, but enough to make a run? Meh.

2021 10YF Pre-Season Preview

AFC EAST
New England Patriots – Can Lynchy continue what looked to be a torrid pace before the restart? After searching for years for decent Pats user when they were good, he comes along when they’re bad, smh. Is there anyone in the East that can keep Mac n’ Cheese from winning ROY? Doubt it, bums.

Miami Dolphins – No Tua, No Problem? Not quite, but we’ll see. Missing dev upgrades makes this season an uphill battle for shonejohn and Jacoby Briskett, stay tuned folks, we might have a full blown implosion coming soon.

Buffalo Bills – How to take one of the best rosters in the game straight to mediocrity? Easy, watch these games and find out, it’s quite impressive actually. We’ll see if knickerbocker can strap up and make this team a contender going into the season. Josh Allen can run with the ball too you know?

New York Jets – How low can expectations get? Joey D is fighting for the 1st pick, perennially. Some staph infection that exasperated Beckton’s injury and extended it to a whole season should make this fun. Hopefully we can see some progress from NY’s Mormon QB of the Future with the smoking hot mom.

AFC WEST
LA Chargers – Our resident schedule nazi Sueppel has had this team rolling the past few cycles, can some new talent in the West keep him from remaining at the top of this division? Really tough to call for this division, it’s going to be a bloodbath.

KC Chiefs – Can our former 10YF Champion Jazzy fend off the Chargers, Broncos and Raiders to claw his way back to the top of the division and return KC to SB glory, we’ll find out shortly. In Skunkgrass we Trust.

Denver Broncos – Since joining this season, druww has proven to be a formidable foe. We’ll see if he has enough spin moves to claw his way to the top of one of our toughest divisions. We still have yet to see him and bhruuw in the chat at the same time. Shenanigans, I’m sure.

LV Raiders – One season 12-4, the next season 4-12, can our mercurial Raiders owner CoachFlood find what it takes to compete in this division? More importantly, can Josh Jacobs handle the workload? I doubt it, but this rounds out one of, if not THE toughest division in the league.

AFC North
Cincinatti Bengals – Whatever is going on in Cincy, it can’t be because of that trash excuse for chili they have. But it looks like good things are going on and besides a nonsensical loss to the Lions, Zeploahhh looks ready to introduce you all to his Big Dick…Joe, that is.

Baltimore Ravens – If Escobar can figure out a way to utilize Lamar properly, he may just..run away with this division.*snort laugh* Some surprising victories before the restart have us wondering if he may be able to make this division his over the next few seasons. Are they for real?

Pittsburgh Steelers – A perennial playoff team, our resident educator DeJohn has seen a marketed decrease in production over the past few cycles, we’re just happy to have him with us and mentally healthy. Plus he introduced me to an interesting medieval concept called the Blood Eagle, yuck.

Cleveland Browns – How do you take what is the best roster in the game and make the team god awful? Watch any of Cavs streams and find out! It’s actually impressive that someone that plays this much Madden refuses to learn from his mistakes, but alas, here we are…

AFC South
Tennessee Titans – Somehow finding time to play between grad school, Syndicate has always been one of our more solid users in regards to skill. After a rough start and taking time off to focus on his studies, he seems to be back with a vengeance this cycle, depending on if his opponents can figure out his cover 2. Good luck.

Jacksonville Jaguars – If we provided a trophy for waking up at 3 AM to play your games, for keeping the chat alive, for being most invested in the league, or being the biggest weirdo, they all would be given to coachmac, hands down. But we don’t, so 2nd in the division is the best we can do.

Indianapolis Colts – No avatar, no problem, no wins either. Now years removed from his win over Lord Thundy, and the amazing Deshaun Watson game altering fumble, gphenom has his favorite QB fighting for relevancy. We’ll see if he can figure out a way to be relevant in this division.

Houston Texans – I don’t even know what to say, akidnamedpat made a sacrifice for the league and asked for the Texans since he knew no one else would want them. Solid dude, shitty team. Those Colts/Texans games are must watch TV. We’ll see what he can do going forward with this squad.

 NFC East
Washington FT – After a switch from the Titans, we’ll see if Asagikoii can make something of this awful team, luckily, he’s in the worst division and can probably use backups to win against the meager ‘competition’ that the NFC Least offers. Depending on how those matchups go with the Eagles, this might be a cakewalk.

Philadelphia Eagles – Our young Padawan curleyfrii has stopped the color commentary for his streams, but he’s all in and has these Eagles looking dangerous. With a rough work schedule and 4 free wins every season, the only thing stopping him from winning the division is his availability. Fly Eagles Fly.

NY Giants – What does Miller Light, Bill Goldberg, and losing have in common? Who fucking knows, but jb has found a way to make them all synonymous with his name. Let’s see if he can put something together with an upgraded Giants roster. We all know the answer though.

Dallas Cowboys – Heavy sigh… SmashMouth ladies and gentlemen, worked his ass off for the past year to get a PS5 and join us this cycle, just so that he could take ugly L’s every week. He’s got America’s team and that’s all that matters to him!

NFC West
Arizona Cardinals – Proving that 10YF is an all inclusive league, our only transsexual member, jdzero had Kyler rolling before the restart, besides an inexplicable loss to the Jaguars, this team looks like it may do some damage going forward.

Seattle Seahawks – A man of the people, a bastion of truth, an absolutely charming brother/husband/and father, KodiiRockets, a living example of class and grace is heading up Russ and is probably being modest by putting 2nd place in the division on his team. Let. Russ. Cook.

San Francisco 49ers – I’ve never seen anyone derive so much fun from complaining about every loss, every season, yet here we are. nickysavage hates everything every other day about this game, but he’s here playing with us in between wrestling and band practice. You figure that one out.

LA Rams – A once decent Madden player has turned into a shadow of his former self, can CEO pull it together enough to realize the potential of this roster? Will he realize that multiple interceptions per game is not a winning strategy? Hmph, I doubt it, he’s been doing it for years. We’ll see if the game has passed him by this cycle.

NFC North
Green Bay Packers – bhruuw has this team rolling, can he keep it together during the playoffs well enough to bring the Lombardi back to…Titletown(fart noise). He has the perfect roster, he’s a great user who executes well, and so this may be the season. Still, FTP.

Chicago Bears – Can Kui return back to his old glory days where he had the Bears contending perennially? We’ll see what he does to re-spark that Madden fire that he’s sorely lacked for the past few seasons. Moving into a new house, cleaning up America’s disasters, and running the shittiest league in existence takes a toll on you folks.

Minnesota Vikings – God I hate this state, I can never ever spell it correctly no matter how hard I try, anywho, RW came in like a wrecking ball, we’ll see if he can get Kirk/Kurt? I never know which one is correct with that bum either. Eff this team too. Bears in 6

Detroit Lions – This team had it going before the re-start, everyone complaining about injuries and this team got absolutely decimated by the restart, losing key pieces via bad moves from the Lion’s brass, as well as overall EA fuckery. Season 1 is going to be a struggle, but AngelicProphet didn’t expect to do well the first go round, give em hell Warden.

NFC North
Tampa Bay Buccaneers – One of our best users, one of the league’s best rosters, what could possibly go wrong? Gonna be a tough out every week for anyone who plays this team. We’ll see if Born can return to the championship form that has Fonz riding his dick years later. Get a room, nasty asses.

Carolina Panthers – What can I say? I don’t need to, because Adotleon is always in the chat with blabbering nonsense. Our resident reddit wildling is finding new and improved ways to cheese his way to the top daily. Can the self-proclaimed ‘league’s most hated’ (definitely coachmac btw) continue CMC cheesing his way to the top of this division? Perhaps.

Atlanta Falcons – Robbie Banks has this Falcons team looking like plum butt. With Matty Ice and that awful contract, you can’t really blame him, but I will. Pitts and having WRs playing linebackers are the only seemingly redeeming qualities for this team that is still trying to recover from…well, you know.

New Orleans Saints – As a Saints user, you either need to be creative enough to use all of the Taysum Hill packages included in the Saints playbook, or a good enough user to overcome Jameis’ deficiencies, apparently Alkhalde is neither. I haven’t heard anything from this man in weeks, then he pops in the chat asking if anyone wants to take the Saints for the restart. He’s a trooper and a good member. Godspeed sir.

Panthers Trade up for #1 Pick

The Panthers continued their string of deals, as they traded up for the #1 overall pick shortly after trading away franchise QB Cam Newton. Heading to Denver is the 7th overall pick, next year's 3rd, and defensive end Davon Godchaux. Godchaux will be joining a Broncos defense that certainly needs his run stuffing abilities on the outside of the line. At just 25 years old, he should be a worthy prospect for Denver, as they also pick up the 7th overall pick and a 3rd rounder next season. Carolina moves up to #1 overall, somehow retaining the 19th OVR pick and the 25th OVR pick in the trade. With three first rounders, they have their pick of the litter at #1, followed by two great value picks at 19 and 25. Carolina could be in great shape by the end of draft night tomorrow night. With holes at WR, CB, DE, and LB, it'll be interesting to see what they go with.

Cam Newton is now a Buffalo Bill

In a blockbuster trade, the Panthers dealt franchise QB and star Cam Newton and a 2nd to the Buffalo Bills for a 1st and young quarterback Jeremy Johnson. Newton had a bit of a disappointing season last year, as he missed 4 games due to injury, putting up just under 3,000 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 18 picks. With one year left on his deal, Carolina decided to try and get something out of their star, who will surely command a hefty pay day next summer. The Bills could surely use Newton's talents, as starter Jeremy Johnson struggled in his sophomore season, throwing for just 1,849 yards, 8 touchdowns, and 17 picks in the 8 games that he suited up. Carolina is hoping that Johnson can return to his rookie form, where he threw for 3,844 yards, 27 touchdowns, and 14 picks, just narrowly losing out on the rookie of the year award. With another 1st rounder, they could surely add some talent to surround Johnson and help him get his career back on track.

Steelers send 1st for LT Joe Heck, 4th...

The New England Patriots finally unloaded LT Joe Heck, a Pro Bowler 2 years ago, as they found a trading partner in the Steelers. Pittsburgh had a big need for a quality LT, and they took a chance on Heck, who had a down year in New England, as he found himself on the bench more often than not. With Pittsburgh likely looking at drafting a tackle in the 1st round anyway, they decided to take a chance on Heck, who has tremendous potential. Although Heck is on the last year of his deal, he could be a tremendous asset on the Steelers offensive line. New England had traded away their 1st rounder for this year's draft last year when they traded up in the draft to select star CB Lamar Jackson. With the retirements of Calais Campbell and Clay Matthews, the Pats have some big needs at DT and LB. Surely they must be looking at those two spots for the 22nd overall pick in this year's draft.

Cooks Traded to Indianapolis

The Indianapolis Colts made a huge deal during free agency today, as they made a move to acquire veteran receiver Brandin Cooks. Cooks has been a standout receiver ever since he was drafted 20th overall in 2013 by New Orleans. He is a one-time Pro Bowler, and he has gained over 1,000 yards receiving in 3 of the previous 5 seasons. Though he had a down year last season, only hauling in 49 catches for 912 yards and 6 touchdowns, he had problems adjusting to new QB Jake Browning, who took the reigns from Hall of Famer Drew Brees. He will provide Indy with a lethal target from the outside and in the slot, as his speed and quickness makes him one of the toughest covers in the league. Though T.Y. Hilton is being shopped by Indy, we can't help but imagine how great of a receiving combo they could be. New Orleans receives a 1st rounder this season and next in exchange for the talented wideout, and you have to imagine they'll be looking to pickup a receiver in the middle of the draft now with Cooks gone. Michael Thomas, Marquess Wilson, and Eric Decker are the top three targets in New Orleans now, and none of them come close to providing the speed that Cooks brought to the table.

JazzMan's 2017 ROY Predictions

NFC OROY PRE-SEASON PREDICTIONS

#1: Deshone Kizer, QB, Washington Redskins

Kizer is coming into his NFL career out of Notre Dame. He is a young QB at just 21 years old, and he has a cannon for an arm. Kizer was picked with the 15th overall pick in the draft, and he was pretty much unanimously the #1 rated quarterback of the class. With a capable veteran backup of Colt McCoy ready to push him, Kizer has his work cut out for him. But he is in a good situation, and has some solid receivers to work with in Jordan Reed, Desean Jackson, and Josh Doctson.
Predictions: 3,750 Passing Yards, 30 Touchdowns, 20 Interceptions, 93.5 Rating

#2: Leonard Fournette, HB, Seattle Seahawks

It's currently unknown if Fournette will be the starting tailback in Seattle, but he certainly has the talent to be. Fournette was possibly the best player in the draft, and he looks like he can be a difference maker at the next level. Thomas Rawls and C.J. Prosise will likely take a lot of carries away from him, but if he gets into a groove, Fournette could easily take the award.
Predictions: 700 Yards, 9 Touchdowns, 4.5 Average Per Carry

#3: Nick Chubb, HB, New York Giants

Georgia Bulldog Nick Chubb was taken at the 31st pick in the draft by the Giants, ahead of LSU Tiger Leonard Fournette. His throwback, bully running style should be a nice welcome in New York, as he compliments Shane Vereen and the passing attack that Eli Manning, Odell Beckham Jr., Victor Cruz, and Sterling Shepard bring. If he gets enough touches, and I think he will, he could have a huge impact on this Giants team as they look to win the competitive NFC East.
Predictions: 600 Yards, 8 Touchdowns, 4.2 Average Per Carry

#4: JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, Detroit Lions

The Lions added another blazing fast wideout in JuJu Smith-Schuster in the draft this season. At 6'2", 213, Smith-Schuster has incredible speed for his size, and he has very soft hands that earned his draft spot early in the 2nd round. His combination of size, speed, and catching ability should make him a favorite in Detroit, as he has a nice rookie campaign.
Predictions: 40 receptions, 600 yards, 5 Touchdowns

#5: Alvin Kamara, HB, Philadelphia Eagles

Kamara was taken in the 1st round out of Tennessee, ahead of Chubb and Fournette, and it will be interesting to see if he has a better rookie campaign than those two. Kamara has an excellent opportunity in Philly, who needs a bruiser of a back like himself, as Ryan Matthews missed all of last season with an injury. If Matthews is unable to get over his injury woes, Kamara has a great chance to put up some solid numbers and earn himself the award.
Predictions: 700 Yards Rushing, 5 Touchdowns, 4.2 Average Per Carry

NFC DROY PRE-SEASON PREDICTIONS

#1. Carroll Phillips, LOLB, Green Bay Packers

Phillips is an absolute stud at the outside backer spot, and it looks like he could thrive in the Green Bay defense, especially with Clay Matthews moving to the middle backer spot. He's got a nice frame at 6'3" 240, and he has exceptional speed and agility for a linebacker. However, the spot where he will truly shine looks to be in coverage, as he already looks to be pretty solid as a zone defender. He has the opportunity to put up some nice numbers as an outside backer in Green Bay.
Predictions: 80 Total Tackles, 20 For Loss, 10 Sacks, 1 Interception, 3 Forced Fumbles

#2: Myles Garrett, LOLB, New Orleans Saints

Another outside linebacker, Myles Garrett was drafted 6th overall out of Texas A&M, and he has the size and speed to be elite at this level. His ability to get to the quarterback is well known, but it's his versatility and discipline on the defensive end that is possibly the most exciting thing about him. He is an exceptional man and zone defender for a linebacker his size, so there should be no issues when he drops back into coverage. And he's got all the right moves when getting to the quarterback, so he has the tools to be one of the best linebackers in the league.
Predictions: 70 Tackles, 15 Tackles For Loss, 12 Sacks, 2 Interceptions, 2 Forced Fumble

#3: Marlon Humphrey, CB, Chicago Bears

Humphrey was drafted late in the 1st round by the Bears, and it's a wonder how he fell all the way down to #30. At 6'1", he's got great size at the cornerback position, and he's an elite athlete as well. He excels in both man and zone coverage, which should make him a perfect fit in Chicago as a nickel corner. Humphrey could easily become one of the better defensive players in this draft.
Predictions: 35 Tackles, 4 Interceptions

#4: Budda Baker, SS, Minnesota Vikings

Baker was taken in the 6th round of the draft, with the 26th pick of the round, and early on, it's looking like he could be a steal. Baker fell all the way down to the 6th round inexplicably, and the Vikings capitalized. He could have a huge season due to opportunity alone, as the safety spot, aside from Harrison Smith, is shaky at best. If Baker is given a shot at the starting job, he could definitely turn in a huge season and help the Vikings get back to the postseason.
Predictions: 65 Tackles, 4 Interceptions, 2 Forced Fumbles

#5: Carlos Watkins, DT, Dallas Cowboys

Watkins is a big, big dude at 6'3" 300 pounds, and he could be what the Cowboys have been looking for to pair with Tyrone Crawford at the tackle spots. With surprising speed and agility to go along with his big frame, Watkins could be the next Gerald McCoy or Ndamukong Suh with his combination of pass rushing and run stuffing abilities. He should be a beast in the middle for Dallas.
Predictions: 55 Tackles, 15 Tackles For Loss, 5 Sacks, 2 Forced Fumbles

AFC OROY PRE-SEASON PREDICTIONS

#1. Mitch Trubisky, QB, Cleveland Browns

Trubisky was a universally-praised pick at 36th overall, just outside of the first round. The Browns went defense in the first round, netting Zach Cunningham first overall and Jonathan Allen at ninth, but they then addressed the elephant in the room; the one that has been in the room for what feels like forever. The Browns once again drafted a quarterback, and they might possibly have found the one. Trubisky is a very promising quarterback with great athletic skills and a surprisingly good deep ball. He can throw on the run, scramble for extra yardage, and of course, sit in the pocket and sling it all over the field. Trubisky is the heavy favorite to win Offensive Rookie of the Year in the AFC and it's not even close.
Predictions: 4,100 Yards, 29 Touchdowns, 19 Interceptions, 91.5 Rating, 400 Yards Rushing

#2: O.J. Howard, TE, New England Patriots

Where do the Patriots keep getting these tight ends? From Ben Watson, to Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez, now to O.J. Howard and fellow rookie Josiah Price. Howard was taken in the 1st round with the 21st overall pick by the Patriots, and head coach Shakiraquan T.G.I.F. Carter couldn't be more excited. After trading away Gronkowski to pick up John Brown and Carson Palmer, the Patriots took Howard, a 6'6" 240 pound machine with great athleticism and hands. Even though he'll be sharing the position with fellow rookie Josiah Price (who might be the more polished of the two) and veteran Jermaine Gresham, Howard should put up some nice numbers this year.
Predictions: 60 Receptions, 700 Yards, 10 Touchdowns

#3: De'Veon Smith, HB, Cleveland Browns

Another Cleveland Brown on the list, De'Veon Smith is a beast of a running back. Possessing size, speed, and strength, he looks to be the best tailback in the Cleveland this year, and he should receive the lion's share of the touches. Smith is as hard to bring down in the open field as anybody, and thanks to his scary breakaway speed, he can turn the corner in a hurry and outrun the defense when he's got open green in front of him. Underrated in the passing game, he could provide a nice option for fellow rookie Mitch Trubisky as a receiver.
Predictions: 700 Rushing Yards, 9 Touchdowns, 4.1 Average Per Carry, 350 Receiving yards

#4: Dalvin Cook, HB, Indianapolis Colts

Cook is definitely a more polished runner than Smith at this point, but it's just simply a matter of touches that makes Cook's rookie campaign look less promising stat-wise than Smith's. Cook should be the feature back in Indianapolis, but with veteran Frank Gore still around, he likely won't receive the amount of touches that he should. Cook was the 2nd overall pick in the draft, and he could be regarded as a reach at that spot with the amount of tailbacks on the board all throughout the 1st round, but he'll likely live up to the hype in the near-future.
Predictions: 650 Rushing Yards, 8 Touchdowns, 3.8 Average Per Carry, 200 Receiving Yards

#5: Courtland Sutton, WR, Miami Dolphins

Sutton was taken with the 10th overall pick by the Dolphins, and he should provide Ryan Tannehill a big-bodied receiver with excellent breakaway speed and route running ability. Sutton might be the most polished offensive rookie in the league, but with Jarvis Landry and Devante Parker in town, he likely won't receive a ton of targets this season. If he were on a team where he'd be the number one option, there's no doubt that he'd have an Odell-like rookie season.
Predictions: 45 receptions, 600 yards, 6 touchdowns

AFC DROY PRE-SEASON PREDICTIONS

#1: Zack Cunningham, MLB, Cleveland Browns

The Browns are just loaded with young talent on both of sides of the ball following their excellent draft. Cunningham was the first overall pick of the draft, and he looks to be legit. Coming out of Vanderbilt, the 21-year-old has size, speed, and excellent tackling ability. He excels in zone coverage and he can be dangerous when blitzing, as well. Cunningham has it all, and it looks like Cleveland struck gold with him.
Predictions: 120 Tackles, 40 Tackles For Loss, 5 Sacks, 2 Interceptions, 4 Forced Fumbles

#2: Jabrill Peppers, SS, Tennessee Titans

The Michigan standout Jabrill Peppers slid down the draft all the way to the 23rd pick, where the Titans were eagerly waiting for the young stud safety. Peppers is big, fast, and an excellent defender in the zone. He can also man up all sorts of receivers, and is no slouch in the running game either, as he can lay down the boom when given the opportunity. Peppers could be in for a huge season, and with little competition at the safety spot, he should have a huge rookie season.
Predictions: 90 Tackles, 15 Tackles For Loss, 6 Interceptions, 2 Forced Fumbles

#3: Deon Hollins, LOLB, Baltimore Ravens

Hollins was taken late in the second round by Baltimore, but this kid can flat out play. He is a bit undersized as a line backer, being 6'0" 234 pounds, but the former UCLA Bruin is fast, strong, and is a great playmaker at his position. He's versatile enough that if the Ravens need him to, Hollins can play either safety spot in a pinch. It will be interesting to see how Hollins is utilized in Baltimore, because he could be used in a variety of ways.
Predictions: 90 Tackles, 30 Tackles For Loss, 4 Sacks, 3 Interceptions, 3 Forced Fumbles

#4: Malik Graves, FS, Oakland Raiders

Oakland nabbed themselves quite the player with the 13th overall pick, as they picked up former Buckeye Malik Graves. Graves is the prototypical Raider; tall, fast, and raw. However, he's a great playmaker at the safety spot, as he's shown at Ohio State. But he can also flat out hit hard. Graves should be the shot in the behind that the Raiders need in their secondary, and I expect him to have a big, big year.
Predictions: 75 Tackles, 10 Tackles For Loss, 5 Interceptions, 2 Forced Fumbles

#5: Charles Harris, LOLB, New York Jets

Harris was the 11th overall pick for the Jets, and although he's not a perfect fit for their defensive scheme, he is nonetheless a very dangerous player at the outside linebacker spot. He's a great athlete, and he's a very, very good run stuffer on the edges. Though his pass rushing needs a little work, especially being in a 3-4 system, Harris should be able to make an impact for a Jets defense that will give teams fits all season.
Predictions: 85 Tackles, 25 Tackles For Loss, 7 Sacks, 1 Interception, 1 Forced Fumble

Honorable Mention: Jonathan Allen, LE, Cleveland Browns

2016-12-11

JazzMan's 2017-2018 Top 10 MVP Predictions

#1: Russell Wilson, QB, Seattle Seahawks

Russell Wilson wasn't the greatest quarterback last season, but he did lead his Seahawks to a Super Bowl Championship in February, his second with the team. With a solid receiving group in Jimmy Graham, Doug Baldwin, Luke Willson, Jermaine Kearse, and Tyler Lockett, Wilson has the opportunity to put up the kind of numbers that would elevate him to the status of guys like Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, and Cam Newton. He's increased his passing yardage every year since he's entered the league, and I'd expect that trend to continue, even with the addition of stud tailback Leonard Fournette.
Predictions: 4,300 Passing Yards, 36 Touchdowns, 12 Interceptions, 109.3 Rating

#2: Aaron Rodgers, QB, Green Bay Packers

Yes, Rodgers had the worst season since he became the starting quarterback of the Green Bay Packers, but with a new coach, scheme, and a solid returning cast around him, we should expect Rodgers to return to MVP form this season. Even with a poor season last year, Rodgers still put up over 4,000 yards, along with 27 touchdowns. But he can be so, so much better. And I fully expect him to be, as the Packers find their groove offensively again this season.
Predictions: 4,800 Passing Yards, 38 Touchdowns, 9 Interceptions, 105.3 Rating

#3: Cam Newton, QB, Carolina Panthers

Newton had a very solid year last season, leading the Panthers to another playoff berth off of very strong numbers in the regular season. He doesn't have a ton of options in his receiving group, but he does have arguably the second-best tight end in football in Greg Olsen, as well as a stud wideout in Kelvin Benjamin. With the additions of Jordan Cameron, Terrelle Pryor, and Melvin Gordon, Cam's got a little more to work with now heading into this season. He can easily break through his 32 passing touchdown mark that he set last year, and I'd expect him to throw for over 4,000 yards for the first time since his rookie campaign this year.
Predictions: 4,100 Passing Yards, 450 Rushing yards, 43 Total Touchdowns, 14 Interceptions, 100.3 Rating

#4: Carson Palmer, QB, New England Patriots

Yes, he is replacing a legend and possibly the best ever in Tom Brady. And yes, he is 37-years-old and isn't getting any younger. But last season, Carson Palmer threw for 5,232 yards in Arizona, as well as 32 touchdowns. He also threw a career-high 31 interceptions, but that was on a Cardinal team that featured very little ground offense. Palmer is joining a New England team that has an arsenal of options on offense, including former Chief Jamaal Charles, who will provide some ground support for Carson. Combine fellow former Cardinal John Brown, Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, Jermaine Gresham, and rookie tight ends OJ Howard and Josiah Price, and Palmer has the recipe for a Kurt Warner-type season in New England.
Predictions: 4,400 Yards, 36 Touchdowns, 17 Interceptions, 103.3 Rating

#5. Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers

It was only a matter of time before Big Ben found himself on this list. The reigning 2016 MVP is coming into his 13th season in the NFL, all with the Steelers, and he is coming off of the best season of his career. Last season he threw for 4,818 yards, 36 touchdowns, 12 picks, and he had a 120.3 QB rating to boot. It's not crazy to think that Roethlisberger can improve on those numbers this year, as he is joined by fellow standouts Antonio Brown, Le'Veon Bell, and Sammie Coates, who had a breakout season last year due to Big Ben's stellar play. Ben would be the favorite, if it weren't so difficult to repeat in this league.
Predictions: 4,700 Yards, 34 Touchdowns, 8 Picks, 110.3 Rating

#6: J.J. Watt, DE, Houston Texans

It has been over 30 years that a defensive player has won the Most Valuable Player award, and I fully expect that streak to continue after this season. But if there was any defender in the league today who would be able to snap that streak and become the first defensive player to win the MVP award since Lawrence Taylor in 1986, it's Houston's J.J. Watt. Watt is arguably the best defensive player in the league, and he shows it every Sunday, as he makes life a living hell for quarterbacks and tailbacks on the opposing team. Though he only logged 12 sacks last season, his lowest since 2013, he was credited with a career-high 112 tackles, 31 of them being for a loss. Watt is a machine, and he should most definitely be in the MVP race, even if there's a less than 2% chance that he wins it.
Predictions: 105 Tackles, 40 Tackles For Loss, 17 Sacks, 4 Forced Fumbles

#7: C.J. Anderson, HB, Denver Broncos

Anderson was in the MVP race last season thanks to his eye-popping stats, but he slowed down towards the end of the season. With Paxton Lynch coming into his second season, I'd look for the Broncos offense to improve as a whole, while still keeping Anderson as the feature back. Anderson ran the ball for almost 1,600 yards last season, and it's not insane to think that he can match that number in Denver again this year. With a more spread out offense, Anderson should have the running room to once again be the best back in the league.
Predictions: 1,500 Yards, 20 Touchdowns, 5.6 Average Per Carry, 400 Receiving Yards

#8: Blake Bortles, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars

Bortles got into a nice groove last season, as he slung the ball around for over 4,600 yards and 24 touchdowns. He had a career-best 105.9 quarterback rating, and he did it all on almost 200-less attempts than his sophomore season. With the ever-improving Allen Robinson as his favorite target, it's not impossible to think that the 3rd overall pick in 2014 has the opportunity to win his first ever MVP this season, especially after the Jaguars' spectacular season last year.
Predictions: 5,000 Yards, 31 Touchdowns, 17 Interceptions, 103.8 Rating

#9: Le'Veon Bell, HB, Pittsburgh Steelers

The second Steeler to appear on this list, Le'Veon Bell is in the discussion for the best running back in the NFL. If it weren't for having the reigning MVP Ben Roethlisberger on his team, Bell would possibly be considered a favorite for the award this season. However, Big Ben is still king in Pittsburgh, and that likely won't change anytime soon. That doesn't mean that Bell can't turn in an MVP-worthy season, especially if a couple injuries slow down the Steelers offense, leading to more touches for Le'Veon.
Predictions: 1,300 Yards, 18 Touchdowns, 5.1 Average Per Carry, 300 Passing Yards

#10: Todd Gurley, HB, Los Angeles Rams

Todd Gurley is my dark-horse candidate for Most Valuable Player this season. He's in his 3rd season in the league, he's on an up-and-coming young squad with a young QB, and a run-oriented line in front of him. If the Rams decide that they need to lean on Gurley a little more this season, he could have an amazing year. Gurley has the talent to be a 2,000 yard rusher, it's just a matter of if he gets the touches.
Predictions: 1,800 Yards, 16 Touchdowns, 4.8 Average Per Carry, 450 Yards Receiving

2016-12-11

2017-2018 Preseason Power Rankings

1. Seattle Seahawks
The defending super bowl champions are back at it and they look better than ever. Seattle was able to improve through the draft by adding HB Leonard fournette who looks to add to the legacy he started in LSU.

2. Jacksonville Jaguars
The jaguars come into this season looking to continue the improvement we seen last year from them and bring with them a rejuvenated defense. The jaguars were aggressive in free agency and were able to land star DT kawann short and are poised for another playoff run.

3. Kansas City Chiefs
Who would've known the Chiefs would trade Jamaal charles, but life goes on and the Chiefs are still a threat in the AFC. After being bounced out in super bowl last year by the seahawks the Chiefs are hoping they can continue the same success, but they have to establish an offense

4. Chicago Bears
Da bears are back and things are going great in Chicago. After a bounce back season and a #2 finish in the NFC the bears will look to continue the same magic that was seen last year. They added strength at the CB in the form of Marlon Humphrey, they are hoping he can come in and fill the holes they had last year in the passing defense. Dak or cutler? A question the bears will have to ask themselves to start this season.

5. Dallas Cowboys
The cowboys come in after a strong season but ended in a wild card round exit for the boys in blue. The Cowboys are still a strong team and expect them to comeback with a vengeance

6. Pittsburgh Steelers
Steel city is looking to continue their legacy of success and get back to basics that have kept them competing for years. This offense is still one of the best in the league with big ben, brown and bell leading the way.

7. Carolina Panthers
The Panthers were able to finish the season off strong and will look to continue that same play going into this season. The loss of kawann short will have an impact on defense it will be interesting to see how effective the front seven is this year.

8. Los Angeles Rams
The rams are now a legitimate threat and their youth puts them in position to be good for a very long time. Expect to see a big year from gurley.

9. Tennessee Titans
Titans surprised many people last season and it looks like they will only be better this year as long as Delanie walker can stay healthy. Injuries are a major concern for titans as depth is not one of their strong points.

10. Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings were good on both sides of the ball last year but the nfc is deep and if they want to be playing in January they must win every close game.

11. Atlanta Falcons
I know it's a surprise but the Falcons are set for a bounce back year after missing the playoffs last year. The Falcons finished strong last season look for them to come out strong.

12. New York Giants
The Giants narrowly missed the playoffs last year so don't expect them to be a easy win this year. Odell beckham jr. Is one of the best in the league if not the best expect a big year from him.

13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Buccaneers were able to add two new free agents on defense and look to steal a playoff spot.

14. New England Patriots
Now without gronk and Brady it will be interesting to see how this team moves the ball. The addition of Charles should help them as well as the draftees at the tight end. A lot of unknowns with this team.

15. San Francisco 49ers
The niners bounced back last season and showed some promise. They added cousins at QB and hope that he is the awnser to their woes at the position.

16. Denver Broncos
The Broncos need to get back to what made them successful and that's defense. If the Broncos can find a rhythm early they can be a threat but they need to win early.

17. Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens had a good year last year and hope to build off that but the NFC is a tough division and they will need to play hard week in and out.

18. Oakland Raiders
The Raiders weren't able to able to make the playoffs last season in a weak AFC year if they want to make the playoffs this year they will need to make adjustments.

19. Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals had a rough last year after being successful in the prior season needless to say it was a disappointment. With Fitzgerald gone the Cardinals pulled the trigger and traded for rob gronkowski solidifying their passing game. A lot of questions on defense for this team

20. Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals are a gifted team and they could surprise people this year they need to get into a flow early if they want to change things around this year. Aj green maybe the best WR this year.

21. Green Bay Packers
The Packers were awful last season and that's saying something nice. With a new coach in Green Bay don't expect to see the same terrible team we saw last year.

22. Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles had a tough year last year especially without RB Ryan matthews all year they had trouble being versatile on offense. The Eagles can be good this year but they need Wentz to take care of the ball and give the defense a chance.

23. Buffalo Bills
Buffalo had their woes last season and wasn't very good on either side of the ball. This is a young team and Tyrod Taylor could be looking at a big year if he is able to limit the turnovers.

24. Houston Texans
Houston has the talent to be a playoff team but lacks the planning to beat their opponents. JJ watt is still the best DE in the NFL and this defense can be good if they put their heads to it.

25. Miami Dolphins
The dolphins have some solid pieces but their defense needs a lot of work. Tannehill had a awful season last year, but the dolphins remained loyal it will be interesting to see if he keeps his job this year.

26. Washington Redskins
Without a proven QB it will be hard for the redskins to have the same success they found last year. This team will have to rely heavily on their defense to win them games.

27. New Orleans Saints
The saints have talent and a lot of it now they need to get that talent to mesh. Drew Brees is still one of the best in the game expect him to step up this year.

28. Detroit Lions
Detroit had a rough year last season but they have talent now they just have to put it to use. The lions could have a good year but in the deep NFC even good teams can be thrown to the dogs.

29. San Diego Chargers
The chargers don't have a lot of talent, expect this to be a rebuilding year for them. On the bright side Keenan allen and Jason verrett are cornerstones for this team on their respective sides of the field.

30. New York Jets
The jets were ok last year but without a proven QB this team will most likely struggle this season. They have a defense that can cause trouble but they will need to hope for improvement.

31. Indianapolis Colts
The Colts were bad in every way last season they need to get a good draft pick this year and hope for improvement.

32. Cleveland Browns
The Browns need talent and a lot of it don't expect much from this team this is a year of figuring out what they have and future planning.

The New England Patriots begin a new era of Patriot football this season, following the retirement of legend and star quarterback Tom Brady. However, that wasn't the only change that occurred this offseason for New England. Star tight end Rob Gronkowski was traded to the Arizona Cardinals, along with young quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. In return, the Patriots received veteran quarterback Carson Palmer, stud wide out John Brown, and a 2nd round pick, which turned into new right tackle David Sharpe.

So, while the loss of Gronkowski and Brady hurts, the Patriots are ready to move on into a different era. Joining Carson Palmer in the backfield is veteran tail back Jamaal Charles. Charles has had some injury-riddled seasons the past few years, as he rushed for just 361 yards in 8 games last year and 364 in 5 games the year prior. However, the calculated Patriots uncharacteristically couldn't help themselves in free agency, when the Chiefs cut the star running back, making him a free agent. The Pats immediately jumped on him with a 3 year $24M deal.

We will see if the Charles deal with pay off for the Pats, but if not, there are some young runners who are able to step up and run the ball. James White is now in his 3rd season, and he looks poised to have a breakout season. Rookies Corey Clement and Vaetuitonga Cowan are young, athletic bruisers that can provide a great change of pace from what Charles and White bring to the table.

Mentioned before, John Brown brings a dimension to the offense that was lacking last year; pure, unadulterated athleticism. Brown missed 8 games for the Cardinals last season due to injury, but the games he played, he was dynamite. He had 48 catches, 674 yards, and 5 touchdowns in just 8 games last year, and the Pats are hoping to get that kind of production in all 16 games this year. He will be joining a veteran receiving core of Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, Chris Hogan, Kenny Bell, and new acquisition Jared Abbrederis.

The tight end position won't be as stacked as last year, which featured Rob Gronkowski and Martellus Bennett, but this is still one of the best groups at the position in the league. The two rookies, O.J. Howard and Josiah Price, come into the league with a lot of hype and a lot of promise. The Patriots feature a lot of tight end heavy formations, so these two should see plenty of the field, along with established vet Jermaine Gresham, who played the last few seasons in Arizona with Carson Palmer and John Brown.

The offensive line remains mainly the same, with the exception of the right tackle spot. Rookie David Sharpe will be battling vet and acquisition Mike Remmers for a starting job, though I'd expect Sharpe to have it pretty handedly.

Kendall Langford replaces the departing Chris Long at right end, as he plays opposite of stud end Jamaal Sheard. Sheard signed a big 4 Year $32.1M deal to stick in New England, and in his prime, it looks like a deal that will benefit both parties. Terrance Knighton returns to New England with a 1 Year deal to be the team's anchor up front in the 3-4.

Greg Hardy and Trent Cole, two pass rushers just a bit past their prime, join the excellent linebacker duo of Dont'a Hightower and Jamie Collins. Hightower and Collins will now play both of the middle backer spots after the Pats moved Nate Irving to pick up an extra draft pick in April.

Losing Malcolm Butler on free agency was a big blow, as he went on to sign a 4 Year $80M contract in Tampa, but the Patriots possibly dodged a bullet. They picked up solid veteran Antonio Cromartie to be the new nickel corner, while Cyrus Jones joins Logan Ryan as the traditional 1-2 CBs. Eric Rowe returns from a season-long injury.

The safety spots are once again manned by Devin McCourty and Patrick Chung, but they are joined by the returning Duron Harmon and the newly acquired Lardarius Webb and rookie Tre'Davious White.

-------------------------

The Patriots are looking to compete for a title this season, as they have a nice, balanced roster with a good blend of old and young talent. In a weak AFC East, a playoff berth looks virtually like a lock. It's just a matter of if the Pats can get past Kansas City, Jacksonville, Pittsburgh, and Tennessee in the postseason. Head Coach Shakiraquan T.G.I.F. Carter feels they can do it.

Steelers Continue Dominance of Cleveland, Look to Build Momentum

The Steelers look to continue their push to get back into the playoff picture with a dominating performance in a 26-3 victory over the Browns last week.  The win pushed the Steelers to 4-4 with a date against the 2-6 Bucs on the horizon.  The Steelers are looking to this stretch (which includes 4 consecutive games at Heinz Field) to build momentum.

It doesn't hurt having one of the Killer B's back in the lineup.  Bell amassed 102 yards on 17 carries with a touchdown as he looks to get in condition after missing a bulk of the first half of the season.

"Just looking to get my touches, feel the reads, and get that burst back." Said Bell when asked about his performance.  The Steelers rumbled for 163 rushing yards and completely controlled the line of scrimmage, the clock, and ultimately the game.

Roethlisberger only had to throw 16 passes in the victory, but with the quarterback struggling with interceptions, the Steelers are fine with handing it off to their offensive workhorse.

"He's quite literally the best running back in the game. Guice-y did a good job in relief, but it's just a different animals with LB back there."  The Steelers are hoping this animal can uncage their woeful passing attack which has turned the ball over quite often allowing the opposing teams to have great field position or a pick 6.

"We're hoping this opens things up for us down the stretch" quipped Coach DeJohn. "The passing game can work off the play-action, which will flip the defenses, allowing more room to run.  It's not a secret the two should feed off of each other."

The Steelers continue their hunt for a playoff spot this week at Tampa Bay.

Optimism in Cleveland, no Really.

Berea, Ohio

The 2017 Cleveland Browns have a lot to be optimistic about as they head into year two of the Bernie Kosar era with a bit of momentum created in free agency and the draft. The browns were able to add some key pieces this offseason via free agency and fill in some others with a very good draft.

The offense will be led by rookie signal caller Mitch Trubisky, whom the Browns selected with the 4th pick in the 2nd round out of North Carolina. The Browns got that pick in a trade that sent Duke Johnson to the Texans, which was widely viewed as a big mistake by the Browns at the time. Trubisky has all the tools you look for in a franchise quarterback, he's big, has a big arm, is accurate, and can extend the play with his legs.

He will be joined in the backfield by most likely a running back by committee that includes second year backs Darius Jackson (141 carries, 642 yards, 4.6YPC, 6TD), Marshaun Coprich (88CAR/445YDS/5.1YPC/6TD, 27REC/306YDS/1TD), and 5th round draft pick De'veon Smith. Jackson and Smith are your more between the tackles bruisers but Coprich adds another dimesion out of the backfield. Expect all three to get touches until one emerges as a clear cut lead back. Fullback Danny Vitale (4 total tds) proved to be a valuable lead blocker and an underrated pass catcher and was rewarded with a Pro Bowl trip as a rookie.

The receiving corp is led by Josh Gordon, who is coming off his first Pro Bowl year in which he led all receivers with 132 catches for an NFL record 2,041 yards and 7 TDS. Second year man Corey Coleman is poised for a breakout season after amassing 58 receptions for 920 yards and 5 TDs in only 9 games. Tight End Gary Barnidge returns after posting 42 grabs for 482 yards and 2 touchdowns. Marquez North showed some big play flashes last season with 22 catches for 315 yards (19.7YPC) and 2 TDs.

The offensive line is one of the strengths of the team as perennial Pro Bowler Joe Thomas protects the blindside. Joel Bitonio and veteran John Greco will start at guard. J.C Tretter was a high priority free agent who signed a 4 year $30million deal this off season to be the starting center. Second round pick Roderick Johnson will start at right tackle, but according to sources looks to have the upside to eventually be the heir apparent at left tackle when Thomas eventually retires.

The defense was an area that was heavily addressed in both free agency and the draft. The browns were able to address major needs with their two first round picks as well as some key free agent pickups. The defense will also be switching to a Hybrid look that will include some 3-4 packages as well as some 4-3 packages.

The front will center around second year Nose Tackle Danny Shelton, who is coming off a year in which he had 37 tackles, 6 for loss, 1 sack, and 1 fumble recovery. His value often doesn't show up in the box score, as he is often occupying 2 blockers to allow those beside and behind him to make plays. The Browns are looking for continued growth from Carl Nassib, who tallied 63 tackles, 17 for loss, 4 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles in his rookie campaign. Nassib will compete for the starting role against 3rd round rookie Carl Lawson from Auburn and free agent pickup Daquon Jones, who signed a 4 year $19.8 million dollar contract this offseason. On the other side, Johathan Allen, the number 9 overall pick has won the job. Allen, from Alabama, looks to have the skill set and upside that could make him a perennial All Pro, should he stay healthy and develop the way the Browns feel he can.

The linebacking corp is led by second year stud Emanuel Ogbah who, in his rookie campaign, racked up 97 tackles, 20 for loss, 7.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, and a safety. Ogbah was named to the Pro Bowl team for his efforts. On the other side, expect to see a platoon of newly signed John Simon (69 tackles, 10TFL, 4 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery in 2016) and second year man Tyrone Holmes (101 tackles, 26TFL, 5.5 sacks, 2 INT, 3 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery in 2016). In the middle the Browns will look to number 1 overall pick out of Vanderbilt Zack Cunningham to provide some stability in the middle of the field. He has the skill set and athleticism to join Jonathan Allen and Ogbah as the core of this defense for many years to come. Christian Kirksey is playing in the final year of his contract and after posting 120 tackles, 14 for loss, 6 ints, 2 forced fumbles, 6 fumble recoveries, and 2 tds, expect the Browns to open up the checkbook to keep Kirksey around for a while.

The secondary really got a lift from Kyshoen Jarrett last season. Jarrett was signed during camp and stuck with the team. He ended up making his first trip to the Pro Bowl after leading the NFL with 148 tackles, 3 for loss, 1 sack, and 4 interceptions. He was rewarded for his behavior with a 4 year deal worth about $22 million. He will be joined this year by veteran free agent signee Da'Norris Searcy, who signed a similar 4 year, $21.8 million deal in the offseason. Joe Haden returns at corner after another great year with 78 tackles, 8 for loss, 5 interceptions, I fumble recovery, and a touchdown. Another diamond in the rough that the coaching staff found last year in camp was D'Joun Smith, who had 64 tackles, 4 ints, I forced fumble, and a touchdown in 12 games. Smith was rewarded with a 4 year deal worth $24.1 million this offseason. Kevon Seymour (45 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 1 int in 2016) and undrafted free agent Earl Thompkins will provide depth in the secondary.

The Browns will be an interesting team to watch this year. Although they finished 0-16 last year, they feel very optimistic about their young core of talent and their abundance of both cap room and draft picks again this season. They saw 2 rookies make the pro bowl, Josh Gordon break the single season receiving mark, and several first or second year players make great strides in their development. Cleveland fans will be closely watching to see if some new faces on defense and Mitch Trubisky can lead this team to it's first playoff appearance since 2002.
