1. It's true what they say, "Defense wins games." Despite, allowing over 300 yards on 17 first downs, your defense forced 4 turnovers, including a big one in the final minutes of the game. This is what some would call "bend don't break". Is this going to be the norm?

Sometimes that’s just how the game goes, most of the yards are from Najee I assume. He had some nice runs early but we tightened up. All that matters is the W at the end of the day, shutout or shootout…just get the dub.

2. At one point, you scored 20 unanswered points, that started right before half time with an INT by Griffin and finished with a TD catch by Jordan in the back of the end zone. Describe your offense today.

Offense did enough to get the win, but our guys know they left some meat on the bone. Stroud missed 3-4 shots that would’ve really closed off the game, he will hit those next time. What can I say about 31…a true workhorse. Pierce is a physical downhill runner and fits what we want to do on O well. He’s a tone setter. We are not concerned about the interceptions, it will be corrected.

3. This was a highly anticipated game, that we're sure to see happen a couple of more times before the cycle ends. What was the pregame speech like?

TBH I intentionally didn’t give the guys a speech because I knew they felt what time it was. They showed up and competed. No need for theatrics, real dogs in the H.

4. Were there any surprises in your opponent's gameplay or strategy?

Definitely not…he plays a very passive O, doesn’t push the ball down field, wants to run, and we knew this. We knew we could trap him to the flat and Stingley proved it with the big interception.

5. Next week, you face the Falcons, who are led by Coach G, despite their really slow start, its always "any given advance", how are you preparing for this game?

We prepare the same every week, no matter the opponent. We expect that Falcons squad to be hungry for a win, we will be ready.
