Pre-Game Cadences Requirements
HOME Team – Streams and elects Uniform First
AWAY Team – Must take a screen shot of playbook screen before game starts and post it on the NT ps chat.
DO NOT START A GAME YOU DO NOT HAVE TIME TO FINISH!
4th Down Rules – You’re allowed to go for it in the following situations
[*]-Inside your opponent’s 10-yard line
[*]-Past the 60-yard line with 4th and 2 or less
[*]-Tied in the 4th quarter – once you pass your 40-yard line (60 yards away from TD) on 4th and 2.
[*]---Seal the game – winning by 1 possession in the 4th quarter
[*]---Losing by 1 possession (1–8) in the 4th quarter with less than 5 minutes remaining
[*]---Losing by 2 possessions (9-16) or more anytime in the 4th.
[*]---Losing by 3 possessions (17-24) or more after the 1st half, pass your own 40 (60 yards away)
[*]---Losing by 5 possessions (33-40 pts) or more at anytime, anywhere on the field. Please note if you do and do not convert, the other team may not be penalized for running it up if they’re getting the ball close to their goal line.
[*]----OT: You may go for it on 4th and 3 or less, anywhere on the field
[*]----Playoffs: you can go for it on 4th and 3 or less anywhere on the field once per half anywhere on the field
[*]----Playoffs/OT: you may go for it on 4th down in OT of the playoffs anywhere on the field, 4th and 5 or less.
You’re allowed one special team (punt or FG) fake per game, from anywhere on the field.
Offense – Do’s and Don’ts (These are subject to change based on Madden Exploits found)
[*]Playmaker is banned
[*]Play calling - vary your runs, formations, and routes. Do not resort to money plays – we all have tendencies but let’s expand the playbook
[*]QB Rollouts – hike and instantly rolling out is banned! It is only allowed if the play design is a boot or if you face immediate pressure... Dropping back 15 additional yards after the 7-step drop is also not allowed.
[*]RB/WR Motion – if you put a player in motion on offense, you must wait 2 FULL SECONDS after they come to a stop before snapping the ball. This doesn’t apply to plays with an automatic motion already integrated into the play
[*]Manual substitutions – you can not change a WR to RB manually – some formations have sub-packages; in these instances, it is okay.
[*]Excessive Hot Routing – this is not allowed; you should make no more than 2 hot routes per play. We understand changes may be required based on reading the defense, but this is also why you have audibles that you can call a totally different play.
[*]No Huddle – Using it the majority of a game is considered abuse and is not accepted. You are also required to allow the play clock to reach 25 seconds before snapping the ball.
[*]When in a 2-minute drill – this does not apply.
Defense – Do’s and Don’ts
[*]Nano Blitzing – banned
[*]Matching Personnel – consistently not matching the offense is not acceptable; while certain situations create scenarios where matching can’t occur, you should strive to match as much as possible.
[*]You must have 3 players rushing the QB every single down. QB spy does not count as a rusher.
[*]Moving Defensive Players Manually – ALL movement should occur via preset options vs manual movement
