Top 3 Fantasy QB/WR Stacks

1) SEA: Geno Smith --> DK Metcalf (42 total PPG)

Who would have seen this coming, Geno did not write back. But he did sign off on DK Metcalf
breaking out to the tune of 4 catches for 115 yards and 1.3 TDs per game. This duo has led this team to a
5-2 start, though they are already well behind the 49ers for the division, they look to be a dangerous
wildcard team.
Best Game: Week 2 @SF 49-35 loss – 76 Points
Geno Smith: 22-37 for 495 yards and 5 TDs (34 points)
DK Metcalf: 5-237-3 (42 points)

2) GBP Aaron Rodgers --> Allen Lazard (35.6 total PPG)

Aaron Rodgers is answering the Jordan Love murmurs in astonishing fashion, as is Allen Lazard
fending off Christian Watson hype while proving he is an alpha receiver who deserves a big-time
contract at the end of this season. This duo has the Packers off to a 4-3 start and the lead on the NFC
North.
Best Game: Week 4 vs NEP 14-28 win – 45 Points
Aaron Rodgers: 8-13 for 247 yards and 4 TDs (20 points)
Allen Lazard: 4-131-2 (25 points)

3) CIN Joe Burrow --> Ja’Marr Chase (33 total PPG)

This team has the best record on this list, and it is a testament to these two, especially the
efficient play of Joe Cool Burrow. The fact that this team is a perfectly balanced run and pass team
shows absurd this offense is, the sky is the limit in Cincy, Ja’Marr is showing Tee Higgins up in a
contract year for Tee! This duo has been absurdly consistent compared to the other teams, and play
on slightly better teams with a more balanced offense than the other two duos.
Best Game: Week 2 @DAL 25-22 win – 40 points
Joe Burrow: 18-25 for 329 yards and 2 TDs (19 points)
Ja’Marr Chase: 7-151-1 (21 points)

CHARGERS VS JAGUARS

CHARGERS VS JAGUARS
The Los Angeles Chargers faced the Jacksonville Jaguars in a Retribution week 3 match up in
SoFi Stadium. It was once again linebacker Troy Reeder that turned the game around with a
hit and strip on Trevor Lawrence inside the red zone late in the game. The defense recorded
5 take aways complimented by 119 yards on the ground by Austin Ekeler. Justin Herbert
played game manager with only 10 pass attempts but converted on a huge 3 rd and 26 to
Austin Ekeler to keep the drive alive. Josh Palmer hauled in a tipped pass for his first
touchdown of the season as the Chargers capitalized on Jaguar miscues for a 23 – 14 win.
Q: Coming off the team meltdown in Kansas City the defense seemed to be a step faster.
Coach: We went full pads last week and went nonstop in the film room. We laid down early
last week from previous distractions. Focus and hustle to the ball will be the plan going
forward.
Q: Both Keenan Allen and M. Williams did not catch a pass, is there a chemistry issue?
Coach: We don’t operate a popularity offense. We came out with a plan of attack which was
to control the clock and take our shots when needed. Both of those guys are selfless and
happy we got the win.
Q: It looked like the secondary came to play, what changes did you make?
Coach: Last week we were way off with our defensive attack, just too late with play calls so
we fell behind and became one dimensional. We still played aggressive with the Jaguars and
got lucky by forcing him into tight throws. The secondary came up big for us.
Q: We see that you brought another receiving TE to your squad but we don’t see them
getting used.
Coach: We’re focused on the offensive line and run game; our veteran TE knows this. JJ.
Whiteside is still developing his understanding of the playbook.
Q: The defensive line has been quiet; will you be blitzing more to get pressure?
Coach: It’s still early and we’re working on a few new schemes. It’s not a secret - we are not
sitting back watching the game so yeah, you’ll see more pressure based schemes as the
season goes on.
Thanks coach,

CHARGERS VS TEXANS

CHARGERS VS TEXANS
The L. A. Chargers went into NRG Stadium in a Retribution week 4 contest against the
Houston Texans. The game was a defensive tug-of-war that lead to a scoreless first half. The
Chargers powered their way down the field during their first possession only for Dicker the
kicker to miss wide left. Following a punt the Chargers drive down to the Texan’s 30 yard
line where the drive was stalled by a Steve Nelson interception. Things picked up in the 3 rd
quarter when J.C. Jackson let the veteran Branon Cooks, who had 102 yards on the day, get
down the field for a 53-yard TD that made the game 7 – 0. The Chargers punted after their
first possession in the 3 rd which led to a clock killing drive that saw the Texans go up 14 – 0
at the start of the 4 th quarter, off a Jet Sweep that fooled the whole defense. The Chargers
took possession and drove down to the Texan’s 20 yard line after Herbert connected with
Mike Williams on what was the catch of the day, out jumping the defender for a 28 yard
gain on 3 and 12. A three yard TD run by Austin Ekeler brought it to within one score. The
Chargers defense had a chance to stop the Texans but on a gutsy call with 2 minutes left,
they go for it on 4 th and 1 at their own 31 yard line and convert on a brilliant read option
pass call that closed the door on the Bolts.
Q: Why is the play calling so conservative?
Coach: We were taking what they gave us. We could clearly see that they were in pass
defense when we reached the redzone. If he didn’t like the look then he had the choice to
go to a run audible.
Q: We saw the incredible catch by M. Williams - where’s Keenan Allen?
Coach: He’s still here and we could see they were eyeing him, he’ll have his day at some
point.
Q: Was it a blown coverage on the TD to Brandon Cooks?
Coach: Not really, we failed to get in an adjustment in time.
Q: What about the 4 and 1 call in Texan’s territory?
Coach: Uh wow, heck of a play, perfectly executed, fooled the coaches and the players on
that one.
Q: Overall team performance?
Coach: The team played hard, but we got outcoached in this one.
Thanks coach,

CHARGERS VS RAIDERS

CHARGERS VS RAIDERS
The Los Angeles Chargers matched up with the silver and black for the start of the 2023
season, which by no surprise was a tight game decided by a key 4 th quarter turnover.
Linebacker Troy Reeder got in front of pass intended for Darren Waller which allowed the
Chargers to make it a two-score game with 3 minutes remaining.

Q: How would you rate your team’s performance against the Raiders?
Coach: What can I say, we came away with the win. It’s the first game so we saw some of
the newer guys playing with nerves instead of instinct, but after we settled down, we
started executing better by the end of the first quarter.
Q: Justin Herbert was 9 – 18. Are there any concerns with his play this early?
Coach: He missed a few passes in the first quarter but it’s just a matter of timing. We have
to give credit to their defense for giving him different looks. We’ll put him in a better
position as the season goes.
Q: The defense seemed to hold Devante Adam in check. How do you feel about your
defense?
Coach: I thought the coverage was good and the secondary took the ball away 3 times. We
could only get to the QB once but we got him on the run a few times which is a credit to the
coverage.
Q: There were some concerns about the offensive line depth. How do you plan to address
this?
Coach: We’re looking at players on practice squads at this point, as everyone is spread thin
in the league at the O-Line position. We are specifically looking for linemen that are capable
of playing in our system. Until then we look to our coaching staff to get those guys ready
each week.
Q: Looks like Ekeler had a decent day on the ground, how would you rate his performance?
Coach: He’s our guy, he wants the ball and he produces when we give him the touches.
We’re going to try and use him more down field in the passing game this season and maybe
spread out some of his carries, that’s about it.
Thanks coach,

Dev Text Going Forward

Going forward dev text scenarios will be turned off. Dev text have been seen as a way for somoene to spam that player and both the team with a dev text and the opponent Dev upgrades going forward will be given out at week 9 and week 17. Devs will be given on based on season stats up until that period. Devs will be based on gameplay and seasonal stats, however players who are spammed will not be given any dev upgrade. For example wide receivers who have majority number of catches will be automatically eliminated from dev upgrades and Running backs with high number of touches compared to other players on team will alos be eliminated from contention of dev upgrade. User must also stream 40-50% of games to eligible for the dev upgrade. Passing ratio will also be considered when looking at qbs and wrs dev increases.

Housekeeping Items

1.     Over the past several weeks we have noticed some users are abusing Gun bunch (any bunch) and Gun tight (any tight) formations on the offensive side of the ball and on the defensive side of the ball Nickel 3-3-5. We all know what nickel 3-3-5 is and why it is used so heavily in MUT.  We know madden is not a perfect game and some things are broken compared to others but we are a SIM league and want to stop these abusing tendencies that user are having. Staying in the same formation all game or quarter is not allowed and considered as abusing that formation. If we see this we will place users on probation and force them to stream with no point going to the store. We will also DRASTICALLY change play cool down and play limit. We are all here to have fun and have a sim style league and constantly staying in these formation is not sim at all.

2.     We have been giving DM warnings about this but going forward if we continue to see users snaping the ball and sprinting for a qb run this will result in official warnings and suspensions. Snap and Sprints are MUT cheese and everyone knows this.

3.     We continue to see some users doing the same adjustments on the defensive side of the ball: Pinching and or pressing, every play and we have said we do not constantly allow the same adjustments to be made on defensive. WE WANT EVERYONE TO MIX UP THEIR DEFENSIVE PLAY CALLING. NFL teams do not press their CBs or pinch their DLine every play. We did not think we would have to say this but DO NOT CONSTANTLY STAY IN MAN COVERAGE OR MAN BLITZ MIX THE CALLS UP and FORMATIONS.

4.     In regards to the statement made on 12/4 regarding pass catchers being spammed, we would like for everyone to have a balance of who is getting the ball. WE DO NOT CARE ABOUT DEV TEXT OR STAT PADDING. Below are some examples of what we would NOT like to see.
