New York Giants 2020 Season

New York Giants 2020 Roster Breakdown

Welcome to an inside look at the New York Football Giants 2020 season. Coming off a disappointing 6-10 campaign the Giants went into the offseason looking to address the QB and DB positions. They did just that by bringing in FA Nick Foles and Tashaun Gipson. Both of those players were cut midway through the preseason due to poor play in both training camp and preseason games. The Giants have gone with a youth movement by drafting safety Patric Golden out of Nebraska. Where he lacks speed, he excels in stopping the run. At QB they’re going with 3rd year QB Kyle Lauletta, who earned his starting job last season and has held it throughout the offseason. He posted a respectable 3215/22/15 in 11 games played.

OFFENSIVLEY

 The offense lives and dies through standout running back Saquon Barkley and it is no secret. His biggest struggle has been staying healthy and not to mention the offensive line is still a work in progress. Word around camp is that Saquon looks stronger and faster than ever which is a scary thing to hear for teams around the league. The forgotten man in the mix has been Odell Beckham Jr, he had an injury riddled 2019 but he is only two years removed from 79/1563/11 in 2018. If he can stay on the field the Giants could cause some problems on offense. They could be a dark horse to make a playoff push.

DEFENSIVELY

The Giants have their superstar defensive player in Landon Collins. He and Alec Ogletree carry the team in tackles and turnovers. They struggled to get after the QB in 2019 but are keeping the same group around as they had a successful 2018 season getting after the QB. They brought in a whole slew of cornerbacks to help minimize the deep passes they were giving up in 2019. Things seem to be looking up for the Giants with an easy schedule to start the year. With Washington Dallas and Philadelphia all representing the NFC east in the playoffs the last 2 seasons the Giants will look to leave their mark on the 2020 season. This all rides on the offense.

Bears Slow Start

The Chicago Bears are currently sitting at 2-2. Two straight loses at the beginning of the season hurt the Chicago Bears morale after finishing 9-7 in the previous season missing the playoffs once again.  The front office went ahead and made some major moves to give the Bears the upper edge in battling for a post-season push this year. Signing Trent Williams the RT, Robb Gronkowski the pro bowl TE also Mike Daniels the RE. Williams was brought in to help the struggling Oline, which will ultimately give Jordan Howard the help he needs while rushing on the right side. Robb will help the passing game and will also take a load of Loves touches. Mike Daniels gives the Bears that extra pass and run rusher the defense needed after we let McPhees old ass walk.

After starting the season at 0-2 we have bounced back winning two straight in a blowout win against the Jacksonville Jaguars and squeezing by our divisional rival the Vikings. The Bears have had some ups and downs so far this season hoping to bounce back to full stride and claim the very weak NFC North.

Here are the pros and cons of the season so far:

Pros;

  1. Deandre Love, Love has not one disappointed the Chicago Bears management once since he was drafted. He will go down as one of the bests guaranteed. Deandre currently has 14 receptions for 371 yards and 4 touchdowns. His receptions have declined from previous seasons reason being he is no longer the only option in the passing game. With the addition of Gronk.
  2. Jordan Howard, coming off of leading the league in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns in the previous season Jordan has no slowed down. Starting out strong with 77 attempts with 585 yards on the ground and 7 touchdowns averaging a cool 7.6 yards per carry. Jordan Howard also currently has two players of the week expect many more...
  3. Jackie Coley, the rookie drafted in the first round currently starting at ROLB has 10 tackles and 5 sacks. After only starting in 4 games he has accumulated more sacks then McPhees BUM ass.
  4. Adrian Amos, Amos has lived up to his hype however came up short last season missing the pro bowl. Starting the season hungry Amos has 10 tackles, 3 forced fumbles and one interception, which resulted in a 60-yard touchdown.

Cons;

  1. Robb Gronkowski, this man started the season fumbling twice in our first game against the Packers, which ultimately lead to a loss. Gronk can’t seem to find his footing while it’s raining falling constantly. He currently has 14 receptions for 244 yards with no touchdowns. Hopefully Gronk can get his shit together and bring the Bears what he had in NE. Coach Dale currently has him running anti fumbling drills after every practice. Old bastard…
  2. My VISION, if I want any shot at winning this division I must make smart reads and play smart With Trubisky when im not rush heavy…
