General League Rules
1. All league times will be posted in the central time. Check the time in Dallas or Chicago for the official clock
2. All users must be custom created owners or coaches.
3. Discord message your opponent ahead of time or ASAP to plan your game.
4. If you message your opponent by 9pm on an advance day and your opponent does not contact you by noon central the next day, you have the ability to play the CPU or receive a Forced Win. If you contact your opponent after 9pm but before noon the next morning and your opponent does not respond by 8pm, you will have the option of playing the CPU.
5.Franchises must get admin approval before they relocate.
6.After every two played seasons, a season will be simulated. In simmed seasons, the league will stop for 24 hours in Week 15 & Week 16 to give users time to re-sign. (depending on in league factors)
7. In simmed seasons, the two super bowl contestants will be given 48 hours to play their game, with the winner not claiming an official Super Bowl, but will get recognition in league record books.
8. XP will be reduced before Week 17 to limit the massive XP boosts to award winners.
Roster Rules
1. Users are not allowed to trade with CPU teams
2. All trades should be posted in the Discord trade thread. Any trade involving a player 85+ overall player or a first-round pick will automatically require review from the admins. Once a trade has been confirmed in the thread by both parties, it is official and binding.
3. You are only allowed to switch a player's position from OLB to DE (or reverse), ROLB to LOLB/MLB (or reverse), any DB swap, and any OLine changes. You may not change players from HB to FB, WR to TE, WR to HB etc.
(Position changes may only be made between Preseason Week 1 - Regular Season Week 4.)

4. Cornerbacks in your depth chart CAN NOT be safeties in-game (except 5th string etc.). This is to prevent exploiting the CB vs safety speed regression rule. You still can change a corner to safety, or reverse, during the designated position change period.
5. At the beginning of the league, all draft picks must be returned to their individual team.
6. In Off-Season UFA periods, you are not allowed to sign a player to fewer/more years than he demands.
7. During sim seasons, you are not permitted to tank your roster to impact the sim results. You are expected to field the best possible roster. If you have questions about starting a player over another, contact an admin.
8. You may not increase physical traits with XP (Speed, Acceleration, Agility, Strength & Jumping)
9. Certain offseason UFA’s will be bid on using a Google Forms auction.
10. When re-signing your own players, a player may not be signed to a contract longer than 5 years unless the player has demanded that much term. Submit a photo for proof to the Re-Sign channel in order to sign a player longer than 5 years.
Gameplay Rules
1. Avoid exploiting the same play/concept. If you have a complaint about an opponent, gather video proof and submit it to an Admin. Violators will be subject to penalty.

2. A hard cap of 41 points-for will be enforced in all CPU games to avoid exploitation of CPU. The exception will be if the game is close. Violators will be forced to auto-sim their next CPU game. If there is no remaining CPU games on the schedule, the violator will have their second round pick forfeited. There is no point cap in user v user games however excessive running up the score is extremely frowned upon. Treat other players with respect.
3. Stat Caps in Games (CPU: Hard Cap | User: Soft Cap):
QB: 450 total yards and/or 5 TDs
HB/WR/TE: 225 total yards and/or 3 TDs
Defense: 5 Sacks
Hard Cap vs Soft Cap: In games vs a CPU, the above caps are set in stone. Any violation will be punished. In user games, any game with a player in excess of the stat caps will be evaluated. If it occurred in a close game, or in an innocent situation, a punishment will not be given. If it is seen as an attempt to boost stats, the punishment will be given.

4. Any game that disconnects due to lag should be restarted with the same score and time on the clock as when it was disconnected.
5. You are limited to one fake punt OR fake field goal attempt per game.
6. Chew Clock is not permitted before the two-minute warning of the first half and may not be used in two-possession games (or closer)
7. The user on offense must be set at the Line of Scrimmage for a minimum of 6 game seconds before snapping. This gives the defensive user some time to make any desired adjustments. When in hurry-up situations inside the 2 minute warning of each half, the rule does not apply.
8. No-huddle offense is allowed, however the 6-second LOS rules still applies
9. If you are playing the CPU, you are only allowed to start the game once. If something arises connection-wise, get proof of your reason. Take a picture and post it to an admin or the group chat on Discord. If you do not have proof, you can explain yourself to an admin, but proof is generally easy to get.
10. If you restart a game vs the CPU and it is determined that you did not have a sufficient reason to do so (you were losing/injury/etc), your next CPU game will be force lossed.
11. The only exception to rules 9 & 10 is if your game vs another human disconnected and the outcome was already decided (Blowout/Game essentially over). At that point, the person has earned the win, and can play the CPU until they win the game (vs CPU scoring rules apply). The admins will decide whether the game was over or not in case of a disagreement
4th Down Rules
You may not go for it on fourth down unless you are:
1. Down by 11 or more after halftime.
2. Down by 21 at any point.
3. Down in the 4th quarter
4. Every team has two Coaches Decisions. They may use it to run a play or a fake field goal/punt at any point in the game on 4th down where they do not meet any of the first three conditions
Note: The Admins reserve the right to enforce “executive jurisdiction” on issues that are not explicitly written, but violate the spirit of HFFL’s ideas.
