Position Changes

Let's keep it to the real positions that change:

DE/DT
CB/SS or FS
OLB/DE
Drafted QB/WR or RB (do this out of college/draft)

WR's don't switch to TE! Name one in the last 10 years!
RB's don't switch to WR's and WR's don't switch to RB's.

Defensive Play Calling

No

You cannot treat Defense like its offense. The O will dictate what you are trying to stop! If a guy runs crossing routes all damn day which a lot of people do and I have a defense that stops them is it my job to help him by changing my D?? I'll run the coverage out of different fronts but give me one good reason I should change my coverage if he's going to run the same route combinations? That is real football! Change my look to hide the coverage pre-snap! For the record every coverage on here can be beat!! If you are playing a good player, he makes you switch your coverage because he's keeping things off balance so it's a good chess match.

Yes, for the blitz part! it's a video game and some blitzes are phony effective.

Offensive Play Calling

No,

If you coach real football than you know you only have a handfull of runs in your playbook. Bread and Butter.....if you're a zone team you run inside and outside zone, power team power ot, counter, dive, blast, Iso, Wing T counter, buck, Truck, Jet and so on. So to tell me I can't run a run play out of a different formation is crazy!! Down and Distance dictates what you run! O is formation variation! Multiple formations to dress your plays!!! Not running formations and play just to be running them!

Rule should simply be you cannot run the same play out of the same formation more then twice on a drive. Formations make plays better vs certain defenses. Sweeps are not as good in all formations! Inside zone isn't good in all formations. Same routes of not as good in certain formations. Just my 2 cents! (might have some typing errors)
