Current: Try and have at least a 70::30 pass::run run::pass ratio. Don't lose a game by trying to keep the ratio. If you need to pass more to catch up by all means go for it.

Proposed Change for Clarification: Users cannot run the same play in a 4 down series. (Example: 1st down hb dive, 2nd down hb dive, 3rd down hb dive, 4th down hb dive).
You can only run the same play 2 times per drive (mix up your play calling)
If a play has the same name but is out of a different formation, IT IS THE SAME PLAY
IN GOAL LINE SITUATIONS ONLY: you can run the same play back to back, but no more than 2 times. (still must follow the above limit per drive)
END OF HALF OR GAME: you can run the same TAKE A SHOT PLAY(S) to try and get into scoring position.

No,

If you coach real football than you know you only have a handfull of runs in your playbook. Bread and Butter.....if you're a zone team you run inside and outside zone, power team power ot, counter, dive, blast, Iso, Wing T counter, buck, Truck, Jet and so on. So to tell me I can't run a run play out of a different formation is crazy!! Down and Distance dictates what you run! O is formation variation! Multiple formations to dress your plays!!! Not running formations and play just to be running them!

Rule should simply be you cannot run the same play out of the same formation more then twice on a drive. Formations make plays better vs certain defenses. Sweeps are not as good in all formations! Inside zone isn't good in all formations. Same routes of not as good in certain formations. Just my 2 cents! (might have some typing errors)
