Chiefs opened up the season welcoming Oakland to the midwest in a game best described as frustrating offensively falling 20-17. Defensively playing well until finally allowing Derek Carr's 'Go to Guy" Amari Cooper to get loose for 63 yards late in the fourth ultimately for the deciding score.
A Trevor Seimian pick on his first attmpt sat the tone; the players knowing it would be a fight for the Raiders came to play and their enthusism showed. Leaving Kansas City to lean on its defense coming up just short.

Kansas City takes it to South Beach 'angling' for a win over the also hungry 'Fish'.
Late night Chiefs radio is abuzz with rumors Kansas City is looking for a quarterback that can fit in Trevor Siemain's limited cap slot. Allegedly involving their first round pick as part of any deal.
Not having much room likely means a young second or third year stud sitting on the bench somewhere.
Raider's seven wins last season gets them within striking range of division winning Denver last season prepare to open a 'playoff window' this year. Led offensively by Derek Carr, Khalil Mack on defense; along with an entire roster coming into their primes. Knowing how big a road division win in primetime can be in meeting their goals.
Kansas City right in the mix last season coming up just short a game back of a Wild Card make a radical move. Fearing that perhaps the 'window' is closing on the veteran team ownership brings in Glenn 'Pops' Warner IV to lead the Chiefs back to the playoffs.
Game features a pair of rookie linebackers. Raiders fourteen pick Eric Trevathan taken just before Kansas City picking at fifteen. When asked if Trevathan was available if he would had taken him? Warner replied "Spartan (Samuel Diggs) was on my short list we had eyes on him. We liked Eric too." Leaving it there.
Kansas City Here I Come It is finally official Glenn 'Pops' Warner IV has parlayed himself from bush league bus trips to a ticket to the OMFL show.Taking a last place team, turning it around the right way, building a legitimate system, progressing young talent & a never ceasing love of the game caught the eye* of the OMFL. A noted league of excellent repute with 16 actual years of 'know how'."Feels great, after wandering years through the 'minors' finally being a part of an actual 'major' league again. To think of returning after all these years is simply amazing."Now the real work begins. Decisions to be made in a too short an off season. I've talked with Trevor Siemian, Dontari Poe among others & of course they have a lot of questions themselves.Telling them as I tell the lifelong Kansas City fans today 'taking the Chiefs to the playoffs' is the goal; together we can do it." As soon as the chiefs got to the stadium this morning for practice, they were met at the door by a new face... Jake FromStatefarm told them he had bought the team from Clark Hunt. He told them about his life long goal to own his favorite NFL team after working years at State Farm insurance. "Such a motivational owner." Said recently signed Aaron Maybin. "He's the reason I played hard to get my four sacks in this game." The chiefs made a statement for Jake FromStateFarm with a 27-10 win over the Chargers
Following the Seahawks 52-42 loss to the Bears, their 4th straight, head coach T.Adams was arrested for public intoxication. He was seen drinking whiskey in the parking lot and crying. The team was heard yelling at each other and more than one fight broke out in the lockeroom. With Percy Harvin sidelined for another month, there is no reason to think it will turn around. The Bears Matt Forte ran for an ungodly 258 yards and 3 touchdowns against this "great" Seattle defense. We'll see if they have any pride and can somehow make a now improbable playoff run.
The Bills rolled into Tennessee and rolled the Titans 42-14. Defense was the key as they forced the Titans (in Oilers throwbacks) to turn the ball over 4 times and forced a 4 & out goalline stand. CJ Spiller ran for 114 yards and 2 touchdowns while EJ Manuel threw for 202 yards 3 TDs and 0 Ints (shocker).. Although Buffalo's playoff chances are grim, they continue to keep their vow to finish with a winning record. The Bills, 6-5 face ownerless Miami next week..
After having to cut the first game short in a 24-24 game heading into the 4th qrt the Cardinals organization was called into work for a mandatory meeting. Fortunate for our team we we're able to pull out the win in a 24-16 win against the ownerless Phins. FS. Church came up big getting an INT on the first drive of the game in the endzone and the Cardz capitalized on it. The defense held Miami to 3 FGs, and a TD that came in garbage time. Ain't no telling what these playoffs will look like if the Cardinals can continue to win behind a strong defense. Up next...the Lions.
The apparent evil empire strikes again moving to 11-0 after a 24-14 win over the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens effort was valiant but proved not enough to topple a Patriots squad that is playing great in all aspects. Mallet shined last week but this week it was all about the run game and the defense. The Ravens young stud rookie QB Aleon Reese really felt the pressure of the Pats defense as they sacked him 4 times and forced errant quick passes into small windows. The Patriots run game amassed over 214 yards and accounted for all 3 of the Patriots TD's. Stevan Ridley continued his phenomenal season rushing for 123 yards and a TD. The Patriots look to stay perfect when they travel next week to take on the Tennessee Titans.
The Buffalo Bills break out of a 3 game funk to play well on both sides of the ball defeating the 5-4 Seahawks 45-28 at the Ralph. EJ Manuel passed for 245 yards 3 TDs and shockingly no interceptions. CJ Spiller ran for 120 yards and 2 TDs but fumbled once giving the Seahawks a chance to cut the lead to 7 but the Steven Hauschka missed the 54 yard FG attempt. The Seahawks passing game kept them in the game lead by Percy Harvin and Zach Miller, while Kenny Britt manhandled the Buffalo defense running through several defenders on his way to a 68 yard touchdown. Next up for the Bills are the ownerless Texans who I submit will be more competitive than with the former owner.
The Patriots continue there winning ways after there latest win, 35-24 over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Patriots run game was the story of the game as it amassed 344 yards in total. RB Stevan Ridley who currently leads Primetime in rushing yards was the high man with 266 yards and 3tds on 21 carries. While the passing attack did not nead to air it out it was still efficient. The defensr did not have its best outing of the season but was still strong enough to make things hard for the Jags. If 5 sacks and and an INT is a bad game for the Pats defense, its scary to think how good this unit has been. The whispers of a perfect season have begun but I'm not foolish enough to overlook anyone. The Patriots are at home next week vs a good Colts team.
manziel's 424 & 3 TD day out duels the vaunted pack air attack, leaving tavon fans asking "jordy who? " following a walk off FG as time expires 31-28 RAMS Victory ! GG Christopher Ellis
