Alex’s Top 10 Mock
Falcons- Needs (QB, LB)
The Pick: QB Matt Dobbins - San Diego State
"Nick" will select the most athletic QB in the draft in hopes of having a good enough offense to win MAYBE one game next season.
Football Team - Needs (QB, LB)
The Pick: QB Cam Rich - Oklahoma State
Kook will benefit from the Falcons potentially reaching on an athletic freak at QB and will select the most well-rounded QB in the draft after trading Haskins to the steelers.
Rams - Needs (QB, OT, LB)
The Pick: HB George Tate - Boise State
It’s Kiing...cmon…
Dolphins - Needs (OT, OL)
The Pick: LT Justin Busch - Georgia
If Niko wants to have anything resembling an even mediocre passing attack, he needs to protect Tua.
Seahawks - Needs (LB, OL)
The Pick: MLB Isaiah Jones - Boston College
Lucky will take the best LB prospect since Luke Kuechley (from BC ironically) to fill the gaping hole Bobby Wagner left in the middle after being traded to Tennessee.
Packers - Needs (WR, DE, LB)
The Pick: WR Tyquan Blake - Florida
Mike will fill the need that the IRL packers should have last year and will take the #1 WR off the board.
Vikings - Needs (QB, DE, OT)
The Pick: QB Norman Fletcher - LSU
Unfortunately for Slander, this is a bit of a reach for the 3rd best QB but with Slander’s skill level and Fletcher’s CANNON for an arm, I think he’ll play lights out in Minnesota.
Ravens - Needs (WR, C)
The Pick: WR Ben Faulkner - Stanford
After trading away Hollywood Brown, Shawn leaves a glaring hole for a deep threat on offense and will need to replace it.
Ravens - Needs (WR, C)
The Pick: Center J.C. Duff - Utah
As much as Shawn wants to go WR again at this pick, I think he should replace his garbage center with the best OL prospect in the draft.
Cowboys - Needs (DE, TE, LB)
The Pick: TE Bruce Chambers - UCF
I think this would be a great pick for Taint. Chambers would be an excellent check down target as well as another big body to block for Zeke. Chambers would be a great weapon to add to an already explosive Cowboys offense.
Denver Broncos (Via Seattle)
Berry Woodard - DT - Alabama
With an already stacked team, DT seems to be the only “hole” on the roster that Phil needs to fill. Woodard would make an immediate impact on an already stellar defense.
Philadelphia Eagles (Via LAC)
Chuckie Amundson - MLB - USC
Coach P. Enis has stated that they can still win with an old Aaron Rodgers, no way the Eagles go QB here. Amundson is the best LB in the draft and would push an already OP defense to the next level.
Kansas City Chiefs
Pierce Pierce - WR - Auburn
The Chiefs had a bottom 3 offense last season. Adding a speedster in Pierce would take some of the pressure off of Tyreek Hill to carry the offense.
Pittsburgh Steelers
Lawrence Hobbs - FS - Oregon
The Steelers have an ancient secondary. Hobbs is the best safety in this draft, and at 21, would provide a youth movement for this DB graveyard.
Baltimore Ravens
Brandon Steen - QB - Notre Dame
The first QB off the board, Baltimore deserves a truly elite QB. Steen was one of the most electric players in college football this past season. An absolute combine warrior, Steen will hopefully revitalize a struggling Ravens team.
LA Rams
Jeremiah Barrett - QB - UCLA
After the Mason Rudolph experiment, the Rams are in yet again, a need for another QB. Will this Bruin be the answer for LA?
Buffalo Bills
Maurice Clinton - EDGE - Stanford
The Bills are in dire need of pass rush. Why not take the best pass rusher in the draft? This pick could bring a terrible Bills defense to mediocrity.
Miami Dolphins
Ephraim Raji - C - Penn State
The Dolphins could definitely go QB here, but I think they’ll shore up the OL here. Thirty-four year old Cam Newton is still more than capable to lead the Miami offense.
Indianapolis Colts
Conner Mauro - LT - Florida
An absolute steal for the Colts here. The Colts are able to snag the best OT in the draft and bolster an offense line with two already solid pieces in Wrightster and Kelly. For the first time in his career, Andrew Luck would have a complete and reliable offensive line.
Minnesota Vikings
Steven Mathis - TE - Florida State
I really like Mathis here. The Vikings haven’t had a threat at TE since Kyle Rudolph in his prime. At 6’5, Mathis is another HUGE target for Jason White Jr. in an offense that already features AJ Green and Stefon Diggs.
Green Bay Packers
Daniel Hayes - WR - Clemson
The Packers were a pitiful 30th in passing yards last season.. I think the cheeseheads go with my next best WR on the board, Daniel Hayes. Hayes would compliment Adams nicely as the #2 WR.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Casey Bush - CB - Penn State
The Bucs get another lockdown corner to pair with rising star Lewis Kasper to assist a defense that has to face Rashaun Stevenson and Julio Jones twice a year.
Seattle Seahawks (Via NYG)
Perry Burt - CB - Louisville
This is without a doubt, the worst secondary in the league. Opponents dotted up the impressive 32nd ranked pass defense. Burt is immediately the best player in this defensive backfield.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Grant Olson - LG - Georgia
Leonard Fournette doesn’t really need any more help, but why not make it even easier for BL’s best RB of all time to run all over opponents.
Atlanta Falcons
Robert Good - C - Ole Miss
The Falcons boasted a top 10 yardage offense last season. The center is the most important OL position and is currently Atlanta’s weakest spot. I think a quality C could push this Falcons’ offense over the top.
Denver Broncos
Brendon Reddick - SS - Georgia
Phil could really pick anything here, his team is stacked. The weakest part of his ridiculous secondary is SS.
Indianapolis Colts (Via New Orleans)
Deonte Holt - HB - USC
One of four declared USC RB’s, Holt is the best of the bunch. Holt trucked his way the the Heisman trophy this past season and will start day one in a Colts’ backfield of nobodies.
Washington Redskins
D.J. Richards - HB - USC
I know what you’re all thinking, “Really Alex? Dan selecting a RB?” Believe me, I know. I think Dan HAS to take a RB here. I know he hates running, but you can’t trust any of his HBs with the ball. All of them are 72 ovr or lower. It’s time to get under center and pound the rock, Daniel.
San Francisco 49ers
C.J. Foley - TE - Stanford
With both of the draft’s top RB’s off the board, Cody will need to look elsewhere for impact players on offense. C.J. Foley would add another dimension to the LGB offense. Move over George Kittle.
Oakland Raiders (Via Detroit)
Zach Corto - QB - Wisconsin
Coming off a super bowl loss to the Eagles, Ocho shocked the league by releasing Derek Carr and signing Teddy Bridgewater. Corto fits the Raiders’ offense perfectly with his good short accuracy and ability to move out of the pocket.
Carolina Panthers
LT - Douglas Thomas - Florida State
It’s not a sexy pick, but Andrew Norwell and Taylor Moton are getting up in age. The Panthers select the best remaining OT on the board and provide protection for Hugh Davenport in the future.
Houston Texans
Zachery Lang - RT - Nebraska
The Texans had a middle of the road offense last season. Adding a solid RT would help the Deshaun Watson over the hump and help the Texans return to the playoffs.
Arizona Cardinals
Kevin Lavalais - LOLB Florida
After the surprising loss of Mack Victorian to free agency, a huge hole opened up the the Cardinals defense. Lavalais would immediately try to replace Victorian in the middle of the Cards’ D.
Green Bay Packers
Bradley Campanaro - MLB - Notre Dame
An excellent run-stopper, Campanaro would hopefully alleviate a 30th ranked run defense. In a division with Jordan Howard and O.J. Scott, a poor run defense is fatal.
New York Jets
Jerald Tribble - TE - Ole Miss
After shoring up the defense in free agency, the Jets are in need of some more offensive weapons. Tribble is a do-it-all TE and would take over the starting TE job from Austin Seferian-Jenkins.
Dallas Cowboys
Damon Boothe - WR - Texas
A home-grown prospect, Boothe would look to take over the #2 WR spot after the departure of Maryland in the off-season.
San Francisco 49ers
C.J. Leinart - RT - Oregon
Yes, Cody already had 7 OT on the roster, but what harm could one more do? I expect Leinart to get the opening day start over an aging Laken Tomlinson.
Indianapolis Colts (Via New England)
Bradley Dalton - EDGE - Wisconsin
I think Dalton will be the steal of the first round. He’s one of the only good pass rushing prospects this year and will immediately boost a DL that features former Bears Akiem Hicks and Demarcus Walker.
Arizona Cardinals
Gordon Dotson - CB - PITT
Adding Dotson to a secondary already featuring Charles Germany and Roland Nixon would make this secondary one of the best young squads in the league.
Indianapolis Colts (Via Chicago)
Morgan Petersen - QB - USC
Yes, the Colts are picking AGAIN. Andrew Luck isn’t getting any younger, and it may be time to invest in the future in Indy.
Detroit Lions (Via Oakland)
Omari Worrell - SS - Idaho
I think the Lions reach here for some DB depth. With most of the immediate impact defensive players taken, Barton would sit behind Howard and Barton and hope to contribute as a sub.
32. Seattle Seahawks (Via Philadelphia)
J.T. Spence - RT - Nebraska
Rounding out the first round with the second of two Nebraska OT’s, the Seahawks look to replace Jordan Romo after trading him to Oakland.

In what was arguably the best draft class in the league, coach Brown was aggressive in his draft approach, trading up three times. Brown was quoted saying, “If you see a player you want, you can’t sit on your hands. You have to move up and get him.” The Bears sought out to fix their bottom 10 pass defense and picked up two top corners in Jaleel Kirby and Terrell McClellan. After acquiring three new corners this off-season, the Bears will move Patrick Peterson to FS and Amos over to SS.

Cody has been awarded this year’s WPMOTY award for his infectious happiness and his contributions to BL. First, Cody’s streams bring the league together. I know myself and several other users just have a stupid grin the entire time while watching. He brings a wholesomeness to this league that no one else has brought before. Along with streaming, Cody has also been creating content for the league. He made a logo for Justin, he created the BL logo, and has created the past two Super Bowl banners. Hopefully he will be able to make one for himself some day. Thank you Cody.
"You all are to kind. BL is love. BL is life. I'm excited to continue to use my design, streaming and commentary talents to make BL the greatest CFM in Madden 18! LETS GO BABY!" - Cody
B was open
It was a wild year for the Bears. Fans were treated to 10 exciting one-score games, two of them going into overtime. Coach Alex Brown delivered the Bears their first division title since 2010...nine years since their last. After starting the year 2-4, Brown rallied his team and lead them on an 8-2 run to steal the division from the Vikings via tie-breaker and knocking them out of the playoffs.
The Bears offense struggled in Alex Brown’s third year. The Bears posted the third worst passing offense but had the fourth best rush offense despite missing star running back Jordan Howard for more than half the year. Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky had a down year with a 16/14 TD/INT ratio. He struggled at times due to his nagging injury from last year when his elbow was shattered against the Lions late in the year.
Leonard Floyd was the highlight of the season. After coach Brown brought back the Bears’ famed Tampa 2 defense, he made Floyd his personal project. Brown saw great success in this system and knew he could get even more out of Floyd by moving him to DE. Brown’s mentoring of Floyd resulted in 30 sacks on the year, breaking the previous record of 25 held by Brandon Graham of the Philadelphia Eagles. Floyd was rewarded handsomely with NFC DPOY, Sack Leader, NFC Best DL, and his third Pro Bowl appearance. After three seasons under Alex Brown, Leonard Floyd is already third all-time on the Bears sack list with 78.5. With 1.5 more sacks next season, Floyd would become the fastest player to reach 80 sacks. The sky’s the limit for Floyd.
Post Season
What seemed like an impossibility after a 2-4 start became reality for the Bears when they clinched the division for the first time since 2010 with a convincing win over the Lions. The Bears hosted the defending champs, the 12-4 Philadelphia Eagles at Soldier Field. The Bears offense struggled early at first with the absence of their workhorse Jordan Howard. Paul Perkins and Tarik Cohen were able to carry the load and combined for three touchdowns on the day. However, the stout Eagles’ defense gave Mitch Trubisky fits all game, intercepting him four times and with four sacks. Besides Trubisky’s struggles, the Bears were never out of the game. A Kyle Fuller pick six followed by a long Paul Perkins TD run gave the Bears the lead for the first time in the game during the fourth quarter. Sadly, the Eagles were able to rally and steal the lead back from the Bears to win 34-31. In a playoff game in which many felt the Bears didn’t belong, the Bears gave the defending champs a run for their money. A promising performance against a top team showed fans that a Bears Super Bowl run may be closer that we think.
Final Record: 10-7
Pro Bowlers: DT Akiem Hicks, LE, Leonard Floyd, C Cody Whitehair, FB Michael Burton
The Bears traded with the Saints to move up six spots to 21st overall in the draft. The Bears gave up their Round 1 Pick 27 and Round 4 Pick 2 to make the trade. Costa looks to make an immediate impact and give the young Mitch Trubisky another reliable target.

Shawn
The Bears started off shaky, quickly falling to a 0-17 deficit. Coach Alex Brown calmed the team down and told them that they could still get the job done. The defense stepped up and the anemic offense finally came to life. The Bears were able to get on the score board before half with a field goal and went into the locker room at 3-17.
The Bears received the second half kickoff with a fire lit under them. They drove down the field and punched it in with Tarik Cohen from three yard out. The Saints marched right back down and kicked a FG to make it 20-10 at the start of the 4th quarter.
Down by 10, Mitch Trubisky led the Bears down the field and hit Cam Meredith for a 30 yard touchdown to come within a single possession for the first time in the game.
The Saints once again drove down to the Bears red zone but the defense made a play at the perfect time. With a little over two minutes to go, Leonard Floyd strip-sacked Brees and Freeman Recovered. The momentum was all Chicago's now. Trubisky led his team down to the goalline to kick the game-tying field goal to send the game to OT.
New Orleans won the toss and elected to receive. On the third play of the drive, Brees threw to a covered man and CB Prince Amukamara was in perfect position to make a play. Amukamare intercepted it and gave the Bears a chance to put the game away. On the Bears first offensive play of the overtime period, they ran a toss play to Tarik Cohen...It was the perfect play call. Cohen scampered untouched for the 53 yard game-winning TD. The Bears completed the 17 point comeback on the road in New Orleans for their first playoff win since 2010.
The Bears advance to the Divisional Round where they will play the #1 Seed Minnesota Vikings in Minnesota. Coach Brown looks to avenge his two losses against the Vikings.
