The 2016-2017 season of coaches elite is finally upon us, with a little bit of turnover at ownership. After a grueling offseason and minicamps, it's nice to see the players back on the field. What a wild week one we had. Last year playoff teams went 4-8 in week 1. This included last year superbowl Champs the Kansas, who lost to the Titans 28-21. They hired a new coach this past offseason to get them back into the playoffs. This was even with their star qb on the bench with s injury. Speaking of new ownership, there was 6 new owners. Besides Tennessee shocking all of us, the jags, and saints also started out there campaign with victories. The Bucks, Vikings, and redskins will have to wait till week 2 to get their first win. Another big story was how many rookie quarterbacks started week 1. There were 5, including Riley Wallace from philly, rashaud farmer from St. Louis, Jordan Donaldson from Atlanta, Sean Scott from Dallas, and t.j collins from New England. Thomas Murphy saw some playing time after Phillip rivers struggled against the jags. The. Starting qbs were 2-3 week 1, but none of the qbs had great outings. Probably the biggest shock of the week was Colin kaepernick. Started off on with a hot start to the season with the best qbr out of any qb week 1. I look forward to a very big week 2. Nfc west preview

Arizona Cardinals offseason grade b-

Key additions -demetri white ,Taren Mack, Eli Harold
Key loses-none

Arizona had a very successful season last year losing in the championship. Because of this loss, Palmer has decided to give it one more go at a championship. Since they didn't lose anyone, there is no reason not to expect them to win the nfc championship again. Cards draft was based on best available. They were already deep at the wr position but drafted white anyway. I expect him to win rookie of the year.

Seattle A

Key additions - clowney, sharp, graves,scherff, Walton, Alton givens,
Key loses-kearse, Jimmy graham

Logan came into the offseason with one goal in mind, to mix up his team. He completely rebuilt his team with a lot of young studs. I hope he's paying a lot to his scouting department because they hit on a lot of picks. He will have 4-5 different rookies starting. All will make a impact this year. Seattle has had to pay a lot of there top players big contracts. Getting a influx of cheap young talent kade a lot of sense.

Rams b-

Key additions - rashaud farmer, Dwayne Allen, khyri peters

Key loses -none

Rams had a very quite offseason. They didn't gain or lose any big names. They continued there strategy of building through the draft instead of free agency. Normally, I would give a bad grade for keeping the status quo, but they did the only thing they needed to do this offseason . Hey a franchise qb. I hope farmer has the chops to make it in this lg. If he does, rams will be a tough out this January

49ers offseason grade F

Key loses- none

49ers had there worst offseason in the legendary history in the 2014-2015 season. This past season was a close 2nd. Needing a lot of talent, they traded away there #2 pick for a top pick the following year and role players. They didn't add anyone great in fa either. I hope the 49ers have a better plan come this next season.

Kansas City Chiefs offseason grade : B-

Key additions- Matt Ryan ,Adam jones , James jones
Key losses-none

With bringing back all the key contributors back from the Super Bowl last season, it would be foolish to think they could not do the same again. I feel sorry for Alex smith . After giving Kansas City the championship, the Chiefs trade for Matt Ryan this offseason. They Also did well in the draft. Torres will start right away with Lucas spelling Charles .

San Diego Chargers offseason grade B+

Key additions - Thomas Murphy , Randell Cobb , Bruce Irvin
Key losses- none

The chargers are another playoff team that brought back there entire team while adding a few studs on both offense and defense. They did this without losing anyone important. The real question is how long will rivers have his job? Murphy might have been the steal of the 3rd round being a 77 overall and 92 throw power. We've heard rumblings that the former probowler is on the block. My prediction is he starts week 1.

Oakland Raiders offseason grade C+

Key additions -lenerick Jacobs
Key losses - none

This offense might be the best in the lg. They have young weapons and they have all matured into some very damn good pros. Carr, Murray , Reece, cooper, and Crabtree are looking to continue there fine play from last year and get back into the playoffs. Lenerick Jacobs has all the makings to be a top dt in the future. Even though he's a little under sized he has the speed to make up for it. Even with the addition of Jacobs, I don't know if they did enough to keep up with the rest of the division.

Denver Broncos offseason grade d-

It was a rough season for everyone in the Denver clubhouse. So bad that the owner had to take a leave of absence to handle personal issues. It didn't help that he was in the toughest division last year. They didn't have a good offseason either. With a lot of holes, the Broncos drafted on best available player and brought two players in that could contribute if they didn't have good veterans ahead of them. Not addressing the qb position was a huge mistake. Let's hope Brock has the chops to start in the nfl. I am thinking more pics then tds. Might even be doubled.

49ers need to give lap another weapon. How can they ask him to develop without a playmaker on the outside. That's why they will go for the next Randy moss.

The first of three picks in the first round. Josh needs to decide if jimmy is the man to replace the best qb in nfl history. With the pats trading Logan Ryan, butler needs a partner in crime. That's why I think they will use their first pick on a CB.
