Writing in a clause that DN will receive the lower of the two 1sts the Bills own. If I have worse record than KC, we will swap KC 1st back to me for Bills' 1st. We settled on KC for now because we think zou sucks.

M17 REVIEW

Exceptional ball carriers, not just a compliment paid to Tugger by his usual customer, Landon, on a busy Saturday night down at Club Leather Daddy, but also the topic of today’s write-up.  Running the ball is an often shunned practice in Madden.  Watch the MUT championships and you’ll see that running backs are there only as flare out options or window dressing.  Ask Ozzy and NWS what a running back is for and expect nothing more than the sound of a beard growing.  This won’t be exciting as two names dominate.  Again Luigi came out on top as the member with the most impressive single season rushing attack.  His 2022 season saw him run the ball for 2224 yards and 35 TDs, both single season highs.  The 35 TDs are unreal especially since that total was more than all 3 of his division mates combined that season.  Whether it’s Karlos Williams or Nece, Luigi will find a way to dominate you on the ground.  Tosh had the second best season with 2111 yards and joins Luigi in the AFC East next Madden.  Grease your anus if the AFC East is on your schedule.

For every Charlie Sheen there has to be an Emilio Estevez and that’s where widow comes in.  He showed out in 2018 with 568 yards and 1, ONE touchdown.  I mean, most of us accidently score 1 rushing TD a game, but to go an entire season and only run it in once is amazing.  Here’s a sample of who scored more rushing TDs that season: Ralph Macchio, Teletubby #3, Ghandi, Dennis Byrd, Morgan Freeman, Morgan Freeman’s voice, the guy who played Jar Jar Binks, the guy who randomly edits Wikipedia pages with incorrect info.  It was just baffling to see that kind of stat.  Now don’t take this as me bashing widow because he brought it on strong the next season going 1339/13 and I will damn well give him props for that fantastic turnaround.  That’s the production widow is capable of and with him now nestled into the three ringed circus of the NFCW, I’m predicting a surging running game especially with arguably the game’s best RB, David Johnson.  Prove me right widow and crane kick the hell out of those rushing numbers!

M17 REVIEW

For this write-up, the focus is on the single season leaders.  But before I get to that, let me address how numbers and records were pulled.  I went strictly off of what I had access to while I was at work.  The first season on record is 2017.  All of this data is mined with 2017 as the starting point.  Some of the data from 2017 is incomplete like the Broncos passing stats.  What I did was took the average of the following 5 seasons to get a 2017 number.  Yeah, it may not be exact for those few cases, but if you want exact, you do it.  If that doesn’t appeal to you, then just sit there and enjoy the additional content that is being provided to you.

For single season leaders, I’ll separate passing and rushing into their own write-ups.  I could combine them into one write-up, but this will give the league another day of content.

It isn’t a secret who the air marshalls are in the league.  You don’t need to be successful to compile numbers.  You just have to be willing to continue risking the ints from the super LB’s, abandon the running game (if you even had one) and compromise your play calling and cheese it up a bit.  If you polled the league on who they thought would hold the single season passing yardage mark, you’d hear names like Van, King, DN, Luigi, Sun.  Good choices as they’re all lethalntention through the air, but the guy who threw his way to this achievement was Dard.  He amassed 5498 yards through the air en-route to a 27 TD/47 INT performance.  They weren’t successful yards as he ended up finishing 5-11.  Was it Dard trying to establish himself as a vaunted ball chucker or was it Dard settling in with the rest of the INT division?  Probably the latter as that division accounted for 180 INTs total, the most in any Dwho M17 season.

The 27 TDs placed him in the middle of the league that season, which leads into who held the single highest passing TD total.  It was Luigi with 45.  There really isn’t anything I can add to further inflate his stature that the 50 SB titles haven’t already done.

The Y button…the hemorrhoid of the passing game.  The sole reason seasons and wills have been crushed.  Ball hawk, DP’s lifeline, call it what you want, but it became one of the most divisive features the game included.  Most users were guilty of compiling staggering numbers, but there was one member who violated the sanctity of turnover free football more than anyone else.  This member threw 58 ints in a single regular season! Who does that?!?!  Is it someone who has deteriorating neural problems?  Maybe someone old enough that they can blame cataracts?  A guy who has seen the greats play like Jim Thorpe, YA Tittle, Red Grange.  I feel like I’ve done more than enough to ID none other than AARP member (and local chapter president), Vanflank.  Our grump in the great white north had a season of 4509/28/58 and still finished 8-8.  The record is impressive and a testament to his resiliency.  With M18 introducing a new game engine as well as the elimination of the auto int, Van could rebound and hand this achievement off to another.  Looking at the numbers, it won’t be difficult to believe that there will be a new name taking the int crown.  Just for fun the possible “winners” could end up being NWS, Ozzy or even Rugger.  My money is on Tugger.
