The clock is winding down and the push for points comes to a merciful end for some; futile attempts to climb up a possible spot or two with cheap mocks or some janky two-bit podcast grasping for a crumbling ledge. Speaking of cheap mocks, this attempt is no better than those efforts previously mentioned.
Ideal divisions are discussed here and there when chat gets bored or people grow tired hearing about the latest Soloman Thomas or Cordell McCray jerkoff fest. Is an ideal division based on competition or manufactured drama? A case can be made for both depending on how you prefer the league to operate. Commish team may lean towards division composition that isn't driven by volatile relationships. The less babysitting they have to do, the more time they can commit to solidifying better 4th down rules and managing the custom name generators that give themselves too much credit for their creativity. This leaves the case for divisions highlighting competative balance. Depending on where the mock falls, some may consider it a user tier chart, which in reality is the case when mocking divisions.
I wouldn't consider this a cheap mock, but it is an attempt to elicit cheap discussions with activity drawing down. Divisions will never go down like this, but it's interesting to ponder how these could play out and hopefully I can climb a spot or two.

CB BRANDON HOLLEY
Holley has a superb skill set with the size to match up against big wideouts and enough speed to run with speed receivers. He has quick feet, physicality, length, and is agile to run the route with wideouts. Holley is well-developed and should be quality starter quickly in his NFL career. Some teams have Holley as their top-rated cornerback.
In 2018, Holley totaled 33 tackles with two tackles for a loss, two interceptions and five pass breakups. He had an excellent season opener against Alabama as he shut down wide receiver Darius Slayton, holding him to one catch for nine yards. Holley also had an interception returned 18 yards for a touchdown and a tackle for a loss.
Holley is a well-rounded prospect who does everything well. Sources feel that Holley‘s only real flaw is that he had issues playing the ball in 2018, although he did better at that in his 2019 tape. He is very good at preventing separation as he can vertically stay with speed wideouts and run the routes with receivers, but some opponents made catches over him. Against LSU, Holley gave up a few receptions, including a touchdown. He also had a rough game against Auburn as he gave up a few completions downfield, including a score. On those plays, Holley was close to the receivers and not allowing separation, but they were making receptions over him and he wasn't doing a good job of playing the ball. That is the one issue that Holley needs to fix for the NFL. Some teams feel it is very correctable.
In speaking to sources at multiple teams, they really like Holley and already view him as a high first-round talent. Teams feel he has a great skill set with size, speed and athleticism. In 2020, Humphrey totaled 45 tackles with three interceptions and eight passes broken up. He could take his game to another level in the NFL.

QB BEN FARMER
In 2018, Farmer completed 67 percent of his passes for 3,471 yards with 32 touchdowns and six interceptions. He scored four rushing touchdown too, but South Carolina didn't run him as much. Farmer has all the physical tools to be a good NFL starter with a powerful arm, mobility and accuracy. When Farmer is given time, he is utterly deadly in his ability to carve up a defense. He is not a vocal leader, and some teams want their quarterback to be that kind of presence in the huddle, on the sideline, and in the locker room.
Farmer had a solid week at the Senior Bowl, and team sources told me that he interviewed well there. That continued in Indianapolis, where Farmer had a good workout on the field, showing off his big arm and athleticism.
During the fall when teams were looking at the 2020 NFL Draft quarterback prospects, Farmer was said to have the best skill set and had the most positive buzz in the scouting community. Instead of declaring for the 2020 NFL Draft, however, he decided to return for his senior year.
In 2019, Farmer completed 59.4 percent of his passes for 3,151 yards with 29 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He only played in eight games during 2018, but completed 67 percent of his passes for 1,750 yards with 13 touchdowns and three interceptions. The sophomore also ran for five touchdowns. As a freshman, Farmer completed 64 percent of his passes for 1,936 yards with 19 touchdowns and four interceptions.
Farmer displays good size and a strong arm with the ability to loft in touch passes. He can drop in passes with nice ball placement that leads his receivers and beats quality coverage with the location of his passes. Given his height and size, Farmer can comfortably stand tall in the pocket and demonstrate the patience to let routes develop. Along with his arm talent, Farmer is a quality athlete who has the ability to pick up yards on the ground.
For the NFL, Farmer needs to improve in his field vision and at working through his progressions. His college offense often has him throwing to his first target or only focusing on one side of the field. Still, there is no doubt that Farmer has the skill set to start on Sundays and possesses plenty of upside to develop.

Senior Bowl All Star Game - East Team Preview
RB MARIO WIGGINS
Even though he was injured in his final season, teams around the league expect Wiggins to be a top-twenty-five pick. It is possible he slides into the back half of the 1st, but he shouldn't get out of the top-20 picks. Team sources feel that Wiggins is a game-changing back who could be bring an Adrian Peterson-type presence to his offense. Sources from multiple teams feel that Wiggins is one of the best prospects in the 2021 NFL Draft.
In 2019, Wiggins averaged 6.5 yards per carry for 843 yards with eight touchdowns. He had 15 receptions for 146 yards as well. Wiggins ran well, but his ankle injury held back some of the speed and explosion he displayed as a sophomore. Wiggins missed six games because of the ankle injury in 2019, including WVU's bowl game.
Wiggins came to WVU with a huge amount of hype, including comparisons to Adrian Peterson. Wiggins had a strong freshman season in 2018, averaging 5.5 yards per carry on 187 rushes for 1,034 yards and 10 touchdowns. But as a sophomore, he showed why the hype was justified with a terrific season. Wiggins was in the running as the best player in the country as he carried WVU's team. He averaged 6.5 yards per carry for 1,953 yards with 22 touchdowns in 2015, plus caught 19 passes for 253 yards with a touchdown. Wiggins had a number of long gains called back as well.
There is no doubt that Wiggins is a special player. He is a powerful downhill runner who can run over tacklers but also has a burst to break off long runs and run away from them. Wiggins also has moves in the open field with elusiveness to avoid tacklers. He is a natural athlete and showed impressive receiving skills as a sophomore. Wiggins is a threat to score every time he touches the ball. He looks like a future franchise player and Pro Bowl running back if he can stay healthy. His play thus far has made him worthy of those Adrian Peterson comparisons.

WR KAI YARBOROUGH
Over the past couple of seasons, LSU has featured one of the most high-powered offenses in college football. Quarterback Tommy Tuba has produced some big point totals and Yarborough was one of his best weapons.
Yarborough made a quick impact for the Tigers. He hauled in 52 passes for 637 yards with four scores as a freshman in 2019. Yarborough was a secondary receiver to Justin Jefferson in 2020, but Yarborough still caught 72 passes for 978 yards and five touchdowns.
Yarborough became the Tigers' No. 1 receiver in 2021 as Jefferson moved onto the NFL. Yarborough picked up the slack and became the top receiver for Tuba. Yarborough started out the season with big outing against Tennessee (13-119-1) and produced big numbers on a weekly basis. Some of his good outings include Missouri, Georgia and Auburn.
As a receiver, Yarborough is extremely well-rounded. He plays taller than his listed measurement and competes for the ball. His best traits are his route-running and quickness. Yarborough is able to consistently generate separation from defensive backs. He is phenomenal working in the intermediate part of the field to make catches that move the chains. Yarborough does extremely well running deep outs and other sideline catches.
Yarborough isn't a burner receiver, but he has enough speed to make plays downfield. If defenses don't pay proper attention to Yarborough, he'll beat them for long touchdowns.
Yarborough could fit in the NFL on either a West Coast offense or a pro style offense. He has enough size to operate in the short part of the field with the speed to run routes downfield. Yarborough looks like he will be able to start quickly in his career. Yarborough could go late in the first round and shouldn't last long if he falls to the second.
Player Comparison: Greg Jennings. Yarborough game reminds me of Jennings. Both are excellent route-runners with the speed to produce some big plays. They are generally sure-handed and operate well in all levels of the field. Jennings (5-11, 198) is a couple of inches shorter, but both play bigger than their listed sizes. The Packers took Jennings in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He has had a good pro career, and it wouldn't be surprising if Yarborough turns into a receiver of Jennings' caliber.

Bizzy got really bored and is desperate for user points so he scraped the bottom of the barrel asking me to do a mock with him. This post is almost 12 hours.
XCFL PSAs
With the cycle in the final stretch before we turn over to M21, there were a lot of lessons learned throughout the season and some rules that should be added to the unwritten rulebook.
PSA #1 You Can Say No
Trades are the apex of excitement for the league and a time where dormant managers come to life. As a small-time trader, I enjoy sitting back and watching the off-season frenzy of the trade block and inhaling the stench of desperation in chat. A strong combine can make users go completely off the rails and sabotage their plans. We often see trades that queue the Bert gif and the ensuing chat barbs start to fly. It makes you wonder if guys are aware that they don’t have to make that deal. The need to scratch that trade itch becomes an overpowering urge where the voice of reason becomes a distant memory. Feeding that urge can come at the price of a better deal down the road. In the off-season, patience is a silly suggestion and mortgaging your future becomes a necessity.
PSA #2 Resist the Jacktory
Guys, stop bailing Jack out. He’s incredibly smart on how he builds his teams and is aware of how to manipulate the game to his advantage. His DB factory has been extremely successful and has allowed consistent turnover of excess DB’s to solidify the rest of the roster often preying on the weaker teams for those projected top picks. Invest a little more value into your picks and make the trade painful.
PSA #3 Conquer Content
Tweeting isn’t hard or time consuming at all. They’re easy points and at times can be a great outlet to take a fun, sarcastic swing at someone. Articles are another terrific therapeutic outlet. A great place to vent and drop that victim card. Not creative enough? Piggy-back on ideas like mock drafts or that, sadly to admit, awesome “divisions we’d like to see” article. Nick has often said that a week or two of tweets can make the difference between 2-5 spots on the user ranking or the difference between the 49ers or the Lions.
PSA #4 Be Nice to Brain
It’s not easy being Brian. There are lofty expectations when you’re known as “Big B”. He’s a kind and loving soul that would give you the shirt off his back. His whispering has become a played out joke and something the community should embrace. Speaking of brace, life has to be hard when your wardrobe consists of color coordinating the day’s neck brace. What I’m trying to say is, cut him some slack. As an annual $150 donation, he’s not going anywhere.
PSA #5 Stay Classy
This is more along the lines of the jersey numbering system utilized by some teams. It looks incredibly silly and is such a distraction. It’s the XCFL equivalent of having vanity plates. Coupling it with idiotic equipment and you should make your way to Jim’s 57th CFM iteration.
COACH'S CORNER - BIZZYRG
The corner goes in a different direction and showcases the league's newest addition. Already producing more content than guys who have been in place for months, Biz is showing commitment already which hopefully translates into staying power. He's working towards an invite to M21 and buying into the process can go a long way. It's a good thing league success won't be much of a factor.
Age: 37
Job: Insurance Claim Tech. I basically process paperwork.
Favorite Sports Movie: The Sandlot. Not sure if any other answers are acceptable. (narrator: other answers are acceptable)
Favorite NFL team: Miami Dolphins. I tried to quit them last year but they sucked me back in. It's as close to Stockholm Syndrone as it gets.
Favorite All-Time NFL player: Ed Reed Greatest Safety of All Time. From Da []_[] (he flashed some kind of hand gesture which startled us because it looked like he was having a stroke)
Intro to gaming: Nintendo Mike Tyson Punchout (fitting since his XCFL winning percentage resembles Glass Joe's)
Years of Madden Experience: I'm willing to say I have played every madden game. I remember creating player while going through the training mode. Coach Rodgers for AWR.
Madden preference: Offense or Defense - Defense. I would prefer to lose 14-10 than win 45-41. This version has been tough to play defense but I'm learning.
Madden preference: Passing or Running - Running game - See above response.
Madden preference: Man or Zone - Depends on opponent. But I will go with zone here.
Favorite XCFL User: Twin! LOL Just playing. A lot of my Dwho guys made it over here so there is a lot to choose from. But I will pencil on Tosh for now. Because this clearly bothers the Patriot owner.
Biggest fix you want to see for M21: Scouting. It has been too long since we have seen a good revamp. It was even promised recently. But nothing.
With a projection to pick in the 20’s, are you favoring on going with a specific team or division make up: Based off of Aces mock none of my teams will be there. With that said I would go division mates.
What should the league expect with your inclusion: Bottom tier player with an above average attitude (and a stack of victim cards)
Will your articles be visually more appealing or are we left with the current mess: They will prolly get better. Two down and picking up the intricacies. But I make no promises. (in other words, a mess)
Coach's Corner - Comxto
Age: 26
Job: Naked and Afraid stand in penis
Favorite Sports Movie: Ladybugs
Favorite NFL team: Cleveland Browns (pre-Baltimore Ravens move)
Favorite All-Time NFL player: Vontae Davis, I like how he goes out.
Intro to gaming: Simpsons Pinball
Years of Madden Experience: 3.5, I was hoping to have more, but XCFL was scared to let that happen.
Madden preference: offense or defense - I remember being amazing at offense in the few games that I had gameplanned. It was going to be a flawless execution of the west coast offense and I was going to revolutionize the way the game was played in the XCFL.
Madden preference: running game or passing game - passing game. I almost violated the 70/30 rule in 100% of my make believe games.
Madden preference: zone or man - I was asked to leave because I was too sim with calling man and zone coverage. The league didn't want my extreme sim calls to make the rest of the league look bad.
Favorite XCFL User: It was Robert because he made me feel welcomed. He even mailed me an envelope full of mushrooms.
Biggest fix you want to see for M21: For EA to disband the XCFL. They think they're so much better than all the other leagues. I recently joined this league run by a guy named Jim. He's a better commish and he's going places. Incredibly reliable and consistent. An easy person to hitch a wagon to.
What do you miss the most about the XCFL? Nothing. Most of the guys are scrubs. Except for Rob of course. Heard they brought in this guy named bizzyrg. I played with him in dwho and the league sounds desperate if they're allowing him in. Cant believe he got in, but I couldn't stick around.
COACH'S CORNER: COACH DOSS
Maybe one of the most misunderstood owners in the league, Doss comes off as a gruff, no nonsense old schooler that you would see in a Clint Eastwood helmed movie about a guy who just wants to be left alone with his one-eyed dog, an Arnold Palmer and the beloved memories of his wife lost to the senseless gang violence that rips through his once peaceful neighborhood. If you want some joyful banter, move along. If you've come for drop dead honesty about where you stand in the league, you've come to the right place. At 512 games played, Doss is as veteran as it gets. The only member who can claim veteran status in two capacities. He boasts a .590 winning percentage and is not an opponent to look beyond. He may not believe it, but he is one of the most respected members in the league and is far from the bottom of the barrel owner. Welcome to the world of Coach Doss.
Age: 33
Job: Law Enforcement
Favorite Sports Movie: The Water Boy, invincible ( I mentioned to Doss that two is not "favorite", but then he tapped his sidearm and it was allowed.
Favorite NFL team: Los Angeles, Oakland, Las Vegas Raiders (asked about the possibility of losing the Raiders, again he tapped his sidearm)
Favorite All-Time NFL player: Incredibly hard question... have to go with Sean Taylor, Charles Woodson but my list is incredibly long. Die hard raider fan but in most social settings i can tell the average NFL fan more history and players than they ever knew or will know. I keep up with all teams and players. Just love NFL in general
Intro to gaming: Mario original Nintendo
Years of Madden Experience: 22yrs... unfortunately. Few yrs on Sega, the rest on ps2 AFTER the NFL and EA started sucking each other off and blocked 2k from making anymore NFL gms. Then been playing madden ever since that (2005-now)
Madden preference: offense or defense - Defense, funny thing is in all of my yrs of playing football I've been on offense and love it but for some reason on a video game I've always been drawn to defense. Something about hitting people and getting interceptions that's so gratifying.
Madden preference: running game or passing game - Always been a run 1st guy but cant seem to get any blocks this cycle and last so have moved to a pass 1st mentality
Madden preference: zone or man - Is this even a real question? ZONE! At least with zone u have a 10% chance of stopping a pass vs man's 1.5% chance lol. (I'll admit, I started leaning towards the exit with the beginning of his reply)
Favorite XCFL User: Robert hands down. Contact is bar none and he makes it a point to follow our rules even if it isn't convenient to the outcome of a game
Biggest fix you want to see for M21: Biggest fix? Lol such a loaded question but ill say gameplay hands down. Psychic DBs still picking balls off, shading coverage is still BROKEN as fuck and useless. Overall DEFENSIVE coverage is trash and needs to be fixed. Has needed to be fixed for close to 8yrs now.
Favorite MRE (meal ready to eat): Chili mac. It always has a ranger bar and skittles. By the way if ur one of those that heats ur MRE up... ur soft
You’re the TI and it’s basic training, which three members are seeing push-ups until they’re eating dirt? Idk what a TI is... must be some Chairforce term. But I'm assuming its a drill sergeant or Drill instructor so ima say Brian, boone, iwreck. Brian cause he cant follow simple instructions. Boone cause he's always late he'll miss 1st formation every day, and wreck cause he'll complain constantly which unbeknownst to him will make his situation worse (I really did fear for my life at this point. Introducing an Air Force term was just downright foolish)
Who would you share a foxhole with? Pride, ares, kylo, grizz, Jared. Really any Vet in our lg. No offense but some people are too soft and don't know how to work as a team. At least most vets know what it takes to survive and support one another imo
XCFL Softball Team
This silly idea has been floated in chat and it’s only natural to assume that if you play video game football, then you have some experience with organized sports and have an inkling of athleticism. Some have proven their worth with yearbook photos of themselves in XS to XL jerseys with tight game pants with noticeably absent bulges. Some have shared stories of glory years rife with success, but yet find themselves working at mall food court establishments handing out honey mustard instead of laced doubles down the line. Out of the 32 guys, would there be enough to field a legitimate team that could give the Advance Auto Parts over 40 team a run for their money?
Brian (C) – used to catching flak left and right, most of it self-inflicted, Brian has been on the receiving end of barbs from almost every user in the league. Plus he’s shared his fondness for the male glute, so crouching down at eye-level behind a droopy set makes those 7 innings the best moments of his week.
IWreck/Brackett (1B) – the self-admitted heavy weights can provide that large target at first and have the soft bodies to absorb bad hops. There’s also the minimized movement expected from a 1B. There are two listed with the assumption that the starter will be injured by the 4th inning rupturing two vertebrae flying out to shallow right swinging for the fences.
Tosh (2B) – you could call this the Altuve effect. Height not needed at the position and Tosh has had his high school success stories shared by the Houston crew so he could handle the position. You just hope that he gets along with his double play partner.
Jack (3B) – he boasts the highest level of competitive sports and hints that he’s the most athletic person in the league. Would his arm be strong enough to make an impact across the diamond or will he be neutralized by the famous throwing power threshold.
VBD (SS) – no idea what he’s capable of athletically outside of exerting enough effort to produce children, but you can’t resist the double play potential with Tosh though most of the time it’d be VBD sabotaging the relay throw followed my mountains on criticism and pleads to kick Tosh off the team.
ACE (LF) – our favorite Pacific Islander brings his island Samoan athletic ability to the team and excels in LF playing more like Alex Gordon and less Alfonso Soriano. Wait, he’s not a brown guy? Okay, plays more like Clint Frazier.
Boone (LC) – Brandon boasts the wheels needed for the position and at times is too fast for the position. He may have the throwing coordination of 50 Cent, but he’ll save extra bases chasing down shots to the gap.
Nick (RC) – the fastest man in the XCFL pairs with Boone to roam centerfield and already has a strong rapport with Boone being his league babysitter.
Van (RF) – this is where you hide the league grandpa and allow him to shuffle around on his hover round with Crown in hand and life alert necklace. He pairs as the team enforcer with his hand-to-cactus combat experience.
*timing of this posting is a coincidence seeing ace's article posted last night*
XCFL Mock Team Draft
The excitement of the real life NFL draft has drudged up excitement for the future landscape of the XCFL. There are many variables to consider formulating a mock from Rob’s Gopher crush and wings’ LSU boner, higgie’s desire to get one over on Rob, rookie crushes and hometown love. Will the draft results have any influence on team interest or will old habits and deep wallets win out?
1. Nick – Nick is a wildcard from the start and will set the tone. He could potentially crush some dreams and I expect him to when he takes the Chargers.
COACH'S CORNER - SWHITE86
Age: 33
Job: Warehouse Operations Manager at a flooring/interior design company
Favorite Sports Movie: Tough one between The Sandlot & Little Giants (interviewer provided to give the definition of "favorite", but the subject insisted on having two favorites)
Favorite NFL team: My hometown Indianapolis Colts
Favorite All-Time NFL player: Peyton Manning
Intro to gaming: Super Mario Bros 3 on NES
Years of Madden Experience: First Madden was Madden '92 on Sega Genesis, but first football game was NES Play Action Football
Madden preference - offense or defense: Definitely offense, especially when my All-Pro Xfactor safety watches the ball fly inches above his helmet
Madden preference - running game or passing game : I prefer to run since I throw so many picks, but I always get lured into gunslinging
Madden preference - zone or man : Depends on the Madden, but zone this year since man gets shredded (admin has been tasked to review all Chiefs game tapes for any rules violations)
Favorite XCFL User: Gotta be our fearless leader Nick for holding down the fort (it was at this point, the subject and interviewer exchanged an emphatic high-five)
Biggest fix you want to see for M21: Defensive AI. Whether it's incompetent DBs or terrible tackling angles, it's pretty rough
Go to adult beverage that unleashes your XCFL after dark alter ego: I'm a simple man, give me enough beer and Drunk Shawn may make an appearance. Although, he's definitely seen more seldom these days compared to a couple of years ago lol (for the record, dunk Shawn has appeared 18 times in the last two weeks)
Wipe back to front or front to back? Definitely front to back, away from the goods. How is this even up for debate? I think the question should be do you wipe standing or sitting? I stay seated, how about you? (the interviewer declined to answer as this was not a profile on the interviewer)
At 494 games logged, Shwhite is the longest tenured member of the XCFL. The "grandfather" of the league has unparalleled simulation XCFL Madden experience, but that experience doesn't equate to success. Currently at a 34.6% winning percentage (161-333), it's been years and years of struggle. Known as the "interception whisperer", Shwhite has thrown a lofty 1,376 career interceptions over the course of his Madden career, an estimate that SNOPES agrees with. A record that should stand the test of time depending on how long NWS hangs around. The interviewer has a soft spot for Shwhite as he was the first ever XCFL opponent and was introduced rudely to the league. Shwhite has been a good dude and it's no secret why he's last this long.
