49ers Slay the Giants

San Francisco, (A.P): Season 60: Week 13 - The San Francsico 49ers came into Week 13 at (4-7) and traveling across country to take on the undefeated Giants (11-0). The 49ers were down early, 13-0 as the Giants defense was stifiling the 49ers offense. The 49ers were able to finally score a TD late in the 2nd and, the defense was able to force some turnovers to make it 19-10 at the half.

The 49ers then went on a roll, Barkley rushed for 3 TDs in the 2nd half, and finished the game with 351 yards rushing and 4 TDs.  The 49ers defense intercepted Daniel Jones 6 times as they put an end to the undefeated season. The 49ers now sit at 5-7 and have slim hopes at the post-season. They will need to win out and get some help.

49ers Must Win Out

San Francisco AP (Season 60, Week 12): The San Francisco 49ers officially have the toughest schedule in the MOF and that is with the Packers in an off year at 5-5. San Fran defeated the Bengals last night in overtime 44-38 but it might be too little too late as the sason winds down and they currently sit at 4-7.

The last two wild-cards in the NFC are currenlty 5-5, so that does keep the 49ers very much alive for the playoffs. They will need a lot of help, and they will need to defeat some pretty heavy hitters, starting with the undefeated Giants next week.

"It's a tall task, but the only thing we can control is going out there and defeating the teams in front of us." - Coach Dypko

49ers At A Crossroads In Season

San Francisco, (A.P) - Season 60 - Week 9: The San Francisco 49ers enter the 2nd half of the season at 2-6 and on the brink of being mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. Currently the Rams and rookie coach Vlade_Divadacs91 is leading the NFC West by a wide margin sitting at 6-2. With the rest of the conference a little bit mucked up at 4-3, 4-4 and so on, the 49ers chances are not spoiled just yet.

The first half of the season the combined record of 49ers opponents was 36-26. Including games against Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, and the LA Rams. The 2nd half of the season the combined record of opponents is 35-27. 1 game easier. No game is easy in the MOF and if the 49ers want to make a run they are going to have to earn it.

They start in Week 10 vs the Seahawks, who they beat back in Week 7 45-22. The Seahawks are never an easy matchup for the 49ers, who are susceptible
 to the deep ball.

"It starts this week vs Seattle. Then it has to be a game by game mindset, or we will slip up. This team has the talent, we just need to execute." - Coach Dypko

The 49ers need to focus on limiting turnovers

San Francisco (AP) - Season 60, Week 8: The San Francisco 49ers have reached their bye week here in Week 8. The 49ers currently sit at 2-5 and in last place in the NFC West. With 1 game left in the 1st half of the season, they really hope to try and get to 3-5. The Pittsburgh Steelers are sitting in the way of that.

The issue right now with this team is the interceptions being thrown by Aaron Rodgers. 25 of them through 7 games. This needs to be fixed, and fixed fast. The competition has been very stiff for the 49ers, posting the 2nd hardest schedule in the MOF, by a long shot.

"We have to play the teams on our schedule and we have to beat the teams on our schedule. There's no excuse, there's no easy games." - Coach Dypko

49ers Force 10 takeaways

San Francisco (AP) - The 49ers finally end their losing streak as they defeat the Seahawks 45-22 in Seattle. Russell Wilson was picked off an astonishing 8 times as the 49ers defense was relentless. Dre Greenlaw shined once again as he picked off Wilson 2 times himself, returning 1 for a touchdown.

The 49ers offense however struggled once again. Rodgers threw 4 more interceptions which makes 25 on the season, through just 7 games. He needs to limit those turnovers if the 49ers want a shot at a comeback.

Barkley was pretty much held in check by the Seahawks stifiling defense as he rushed for just 90 yards on 25 carries.

"The defense won this game for us, we need to go back to the drawing board on offense." - Coach Dypko

49ers drop to 1-5

San Francisco, (A.P) - The 49ers drop to 1-5 after another loss this morning, this time to a new coach in Vlade_Divadacs91 and the Los Angeles Rams. The game was dominated by the rushing attack of Los Angeles as they gained a total of 212 yards on the ground. Jared Goff didn't have to do much, but when he did, he was on point. 10-11 for 92 yards and 0 interceptions.

The 49ers offense struggled mightily as Saquon Barkley had a tough time getting going. He wound up finishing the game with 125 yards and 1 Touchdown. However it was the passing game once again that failed them. Rodgers couldn't find open receivers, and when he did the 49ers receivers would drop passes. Or the Rams swarming defense would simply pick him off.  George Kittle was the bright spot in the pass game with 7 receptions for 133 yards and 1 TD.

The 49ers need to rebound quick as the season is starting to become a lost one at 1-5.

49ers drop to 1-4

Another loss. This time the 49ers had to deal with the acrobatic defenders of the WFT. 5 interceptions, 4 of them were diving off their feet jumping into the air Madden '20 picks that were eye opening. Add a McLaurin TD through a 49er defender TD and there u have it

49ers drop to Cleveland

The 49ers drop their 3rd game of the season to the Browns 45-24. The Browns defense smothered the 49ers receivers all game long in a simple gameplan of man and bump. The receivers couldn't get any seperation and George Kittle was injured early so that took away the only advantage in the pass game the 49ers had. Garrett sacked Rodgers 3 times, and the Browns defense picked off Rodgers 3 times in the win.

Barkley was the lone bright spot as he rushed for 218 yards and 2 TDs but that was not nearly enough as the 49ers defense let up big play after big play especially in the pass game. Somehow receivers and tight eneds were getting wide open deep down field for long TDs as Carr finished the game with 427 yards passing and 4 TDs.

"We have to clean up the defense and find ways to get receivers open or we're going to be out of this race soon" - Coach Dypko

49ers Get Into The Win Column

The 49ers finally get a much needed victory as they defeat the Cardinals this morning 30-20. The 49ers defense picked off Arizona's Jacob Eason 6 times, including two by Dre Greenlaw (1 for a touchdown). The 49ers offense struggled at times, but Saquon Barkley was able to rush for 137 yards on 25 carries.

Aaron Rodgers threw for 1 touchdown and ran for another as the 49ers move to 1-2 on the season and could be tied for first place depending on how Seattle/Rams play this week.

"We came out with a gameplan and it worked, Coach Healy is a hell of a coach and we have some great battles." - Coach Dypko

Having so much fun!

The 49ers were able to squeeze in the Packers game inside Hicks 15 min window for the week as Green Bay beats San Francisco 45-27. The 49ers had the lead going into the 4th quarter 27-24 and then some craziness started. TE Jace Stenwhateverhisnameisberger catches a TD with 5 49ers around him, somehow hangs onto it and doesnt drop it. Then the beautiful conditions of lag city hits and Rodgers throws 2 more interceptions. The Packers added a 90 yard touchdown run to put the game away as the 49ers sent a blitz that you'd think would work but it doesnt against the run.

Deebo Samuel had his man beat by about 5 yards in the 3rd but the CB was able to superman jump swat the ball away in what wouldve been a touchdown.

The 49ers Fall To the Cardinals in Week 1 - Season 60

San Francisco, AP (February 7, 2021) - Week 1 of the Season 60 season did not start off as planned for the San Francisco 49ers. They drop the game to the Arizona Cardinals 22-20. The Cardinals debuted a new QB Jacob Eason who went 24-29 for 276 yards and 2 TDs, great replacement of Kyler Murray. The 49ers had a debut of their own, Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers went 19-21 for 171 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT. Rodgers was great all game, except 1 tip toe interception on the sideline by Arizona.

The 49ers led most of the 2nd half. The Cardinals kicked a FG to make the score 20-19 with about 4 minutes left. The 49ers were unable to convert a 3rd and 6 and had to punt it away with a little over 2 minutes left. The Cardinals converted a couple of first downs, then Eason was sacked and Njoku was tackled for a loss the next play. It was 3rd and 18 but the Cardinals were able to gain 17 yards to the 49ers 23 yard line.

4th and inches with 55 seconds left, and no timeouts for the 49ers, the Cardinals decided to go for it instead of kicking the go ahead FG. It paid off as Eason hit Njoku for 21 yards as he dove down at the 2 yard line. The Cardinals were able to run the clock down to 3 seconds for the game winning FG.

49ers fall to Chargers

In hard fought defensive battle, the 49ers fall to 1-1 with their 23-21 loss to the Chargers. The 49ers took the lead early, with a pick six by Dre Greenlaw to open the game, Greenlaw's 2nd touchdown of the season. The next possession the 49ers forced a punt, 2 plays later Barkley took it 86 yards to the house. The 49ers were dealing, 14-0 only 2 minutes into the game.

The Chargers offense methodically marched down the field and scored a much needed tochdown and from there they played extremely sound defense, picking Winston 3 times and only giving up 1 more touchdown the rest of the game.

"Jameis is going to have to play better for us to compete with the stronger teams in this league, like the Chargers. We will lick our wounds, and be ready for Week 3 vs the Chiefs." - Coach Dypko

The 49ers Start 1-0

The 49ers opened up the season on a high note, after they fell short of a post-season berth in Season 58. The newly acquired Jerome Baker made his presence felt early and often as he finished the game with 13 tackles, 1 for loss, 2 interceptions, 1 forced fumble, and 1 defensive touchdown. The 49ers had 7 turnovers, 6 interceptions and 2 touchdowns on defense.

"That felt like a complete defensive performance." - Coach Dypko

The offense was not as sharp, as Jameis Winston made his 49ers debut completing 8 passes on 15 attempts for 171 yards, 2 TDs, and 1 INT. He found Kittle 4 times for 90 yards and a score, and Deebo Samuel 3 times for 66 yards and a score. Although Barkley ran for over 100 yards, he felt held at bay pretty much the entire game. Raheem Mostert had 7 carries for 26 yards in his return back to San Francisco.

Next up is the Chargers coached by MackDaddy which will be an early test.
