Vikings Season 1 recap
No easy way to start this, it started with a few losses, one after the other.
A 12 game losing streak was ended against the Bucs, but still getting 3 more losses to end the season 1-15. This gives us the opportunity to pick first in the draft, and after missing Drew Brees to retirement we will be able to pick a new face of the franchise, both Lawrence and Fields look incredible.
Some bright highlights from the previous season heading into the next:
- We still have a young core, both on offense and defense.
- Safety Jeremy Chinn shined and became the DROY in NFC, looking forward to what he can show on the field in the upcoming season.
- Myles Garrett had the most sacks during the regular season.
- Drew Brees retired? After a dreadful season, guess it's a highlight that he leaves our organisation, he was close to having most turnovers in the league and was benched his last 2 games.
Things we need to remove in the upcoming season are exactly those turnovers, which most likely came from low experience at a high level. If we can keep those on the low, we should be able to compete in our division, hopefully.
Onto our division:
- Packers moved their franchise and are now in Toronto by the name Toronto Thunderbirds. Still a fairly young team consisting of their main piece Nick Chubb at offense and defense their corner Denzel Ward and safety Burgess.
- Chicago Bears, the oldest team in our division have been seeing some regression, but have also made some changes during end of the season. OBJ will be their goto weapon, on defense they are stacked with experience and great players. Among them; Micah Hyde, Lavonte David, Chris Harris Jr., Adoree Jackson, Geno Atkins, Damon Harrison Sr...list goes on. Unfortunately age might become a problem for them after this season.
- Detroit Lions should be the team to beat for every team in the division, they got to the playoffs 1st season and their team is still as strong as they were.

Vikes recap:
Looking back at this season we see progress, but not enough at certain areas of our game. We maintained a top 3 spot at defense again, now even better than previous seasons. Only 15 pts against per game and least yards against per game too. Looking at the other end of our game, on offense, we are still not managing to make much out of it. Possibly need a new angle and we might be forced to change playbook on offense, since there definately should be enough firepower on offense with Xfactors here and there. Only thing we are missing are the abilities from a RB...
Season started well with three excellent wins, then we manage to start ruining the season for ourselves meeting rivals from our division and manage to loose 4 games in a row in division. Going 1-5 in divison is just 'No bueno'. If we can't win more games in division we have nothing to do in a playoff situation either way.
Our team is getting older, but still young compared to most others and have yet not reached our peak.

This hypetrain is about to start for the upcoming 2022 season, allthough now lets take a look back at the 2021 season. Such a disappointing start of the season and we early saw that there was a need to shake things up and went back to Ravens offensive playbook.
Started to have closer games and had a couple wins here and there, but better offense started first when Pettis joined the WR core. Giving Levy his long awaited target. 37 catches and 769 yds, which resulted in 11 TDs in 9 games. Problems on offense was a result of a poor running game. Defense was pretty much one of the best in the league, it's all on offense. New offensive co-ordinator for the upcoming season?
First there was another draft and we managed to pull some nice new starters for our team, on both offense and defense. First of all, CeeDee Lamb, just waiting for him to go above 80 ovr and to get those abilities to help out Levy to shine. We also found two other speed receivers in the draft which will be helpful in different situations. And not to forget, there was a strike of luck at RB too when we managed to get Travis Etienne at the start of 2nd round. Speedy, but is also a triple threat with great spread on his attributes. If Vikes fans didn't have enough to be proud of last season, we should this upcoming season.

What a let down for all the fans, hopefully they got alot of joy from 'Skoools' instead, or as we say and write in Norway: SKÅÅÅL!
I believe this must have been the worst we will see from the Vikings on offense, after winning first game of the season and then getting 4 losses made the team desperate. Desperate for points? Offense has been nowhere to be seen...Defense has kept us in alot of the games.
Getting Randall Cunningham from FA Auction was not the answer needed, what is then? No real 1st or 2nd WR and not enough speed, could this be the answer? Likely will be looking at the options and who will take over at QB if(when) Randall Cunningham retires?
K. Johnson at running back and the Oline is the few set spots on offense right now, will Everett be replaced?
Draft is at 3 AM and how will that impact on the decisions made. 6th overall pick and looking to do what exactly, draft a WR? QB? One thing is certain, this team is young, and there is still alot of time for improvement.
