After an up and down regular season, Jaylen Hurts led his Browns team into an elimination game just happy to be there. With the defense playing lights out, the Browns shocked the world and upset multiple time champion Patriots in the first round only to crash and burn against the mighty 1 seed in the next game.
Looking to the future the Browns, I mean the Desperados, move into a new stadium, in a new city, with a new coach, and new optimism for the future. Can the defense take the next step to championship level? Can Hurts prove he can get it done in the big situations? Will the offense be able to move the ball more consistently? The answer to the questions is probably no but the Desperados are ready for whatever comes next.
Texans Season Recap
Well it was a roller coaster for the Texans. Due to COVID-19, Kirk Cousins was shipped away for a younger, less vulnerable QB in Drew Lock. With that addition superman, AKA Stefon Diggs, had a breakout year that saw him move to XF. Christian McCaffery, the Texans #1 draft pick, was shipped off after 1 game to acquire Dalvin Cook who immediately made a huge impact in the tune of over 1950 yards and 16 TDs.
However, a leaky defense could hold the Texans back. With a lack of veteran leadership outside ol steady Earl Thomas, the Texans D has been leakier than Trump's sphincter. What will the playoffs hold? Will the Texans be able to even win 1 game? Doubtful but good ol Bill O'Brien, the best GM in the NFL, will give it a shot.

"Chiefs Fail to Shoot the Moon"
Every play the card game hearts? Ever try to shoot the moon and have it just blow up in your face? That's what happened to the Chiefs this year. Coming off 3 straight playoff losses to the new SuperBowl champs, the Chiefs pinned their hopes on Warren Moon stepping out of retirement. While Moon tried his hardest, he led the league in INTs and led the team to the #1 pick in the draft.
The Chiefs will now enter the new year with a rookie QB. Will it be college champion and Fabio wannabe Trevor Lawrence? Or will it be the wily Justin Fields who could be the new, taller, much better Russell Wilson? We'll find out at tomorrow's draft.
Chiefs cut:
HB -- Dion Lewis 75 overall (position based)
OLB -- Antwan Jeffries 74 overall 25 yo (age based)
He's even older and slower than before. 86 speed is pretty unusable at CB but I could use him at SS
Chiefs cuts:
Age based -- Renell Wren DT 72/25 yo
Position based -- Darryl Roberts CB 73 ovr
Chiefs get:
RE Sam Hubbard 77*/25 yo
Raiders get:
2021 Rams 2nd round pick
Rams get:
WR Josh Gordon 83*/29 yo
RG Diego Bautista 74*/22 yo
Chiefs get:
WR Dante Pettis 84*/24 yo
2021 2nd round pick (Rams)
