Giants Coach Lawon Gets Extension

Head Coach Lawon Mathis gets contract extension after taking over Giants earlier this season.  Finishing with a record 7-4 barely missing the playoffs after a week 17 lost top CPU bills. Over Coach wasn't happy with his offense mainly QBs and WRs both groups couldn't get chemistry going. Either the passes was off or the balls were drops. Future for both Eli and Tyrod is in question not yet determined. Giants plans on filling holes this draft with some key young pieces.

On the flip side we would like to congratulate Eli Apple for making his 2nd pro bowl.  He's the lone guy who made it for the Giants this season. OLB James Gregory won Defensive Rookie Of The Year salute to that young men it's a blessing for us to have him. Along with that DE Choice, CB Rogers and SS Spear had a terrific season as rookies also. The plan is for them to get more reps going into OTA's. In the meantime Giants will be at home resting enjoying OMFL playoff matchups.

Giants Fighting For A Spot

The New York Giants keep momentum rolling for playoff hopes. Beating cross-town rival Jets in a tight battle 23-17.  Offensively Giants having issues at the QB position not really knowing which direction to go. Both Tyrod and Eli are having a hard time getting completions let alone completing passes. Last week Eli came out the gate strong before hitting a wall throwing for 215 yds 1 TD 1 INT. Receiving leading the way was ODB with 4 catches 61 yds (3 drops). TE Adams went down early but backup Sawyer scored the lone receiving touchdown from Eli.

Defensive side leaders for tackles was FS Thompson tallying in 4. Apple (2) and Jenkins (1) both getting interceptions. Sacks Rookie OLB Wooten (2), Gregory (1), Goodson (1) and Vernon (1) causing pressure on Jets QB Levels. For the most part I was happy with the defensive play, but my concern is normally when offense punting more than we wanted. This week we face season ending game vs Bills who playoff hopes looks to be over after losing to division rivals Eagles.

Rookie HC Lawon Mathis get's 1st win

Coach Mathis Giants wins over division rivalry Cowboys 30-16 tonight. Tyrod ran with 1st offense tonight over Eli playing well throwing over 150+ yds and 3 td's. Tonight we liked what we saw with Tyrod as he will continue to roll with 1st team offense after this weeks bye. Running game was solid behind Lester Kelley 59 yds. Averaging 3.5 Kelley unfortnately didn't make it into the endzone third straight week.

Passing attack was spread out well 9 different guys caught receptions. Longest play of the night when Tyrod connected to ODB 45 yd post touchdown. Two more touchdowns hauled in from Snead and Lobato. Defense played well but rusty in the beginning things got rolling during the second quarter. Rookie's Choice and Wooten registered sacks also talleying 3 tackles. CB Apple and FS Thompson both had forced interceptions. Overall we liked what we saw tonight but we must continue to improve
