The Buccaneers made the NFC Championship after a commanding victory over the Packers 37-21. For almost the entire first half the Bucs defense didn’t let them get a first down. The offense in that game was off to a rocky start, then started to pick it up in the second half. Three real contributors to the great defense was Sean Murphy Bunting with a pick and a forced fumble, the other two being John Simon and Anthony Nelson some smaller names coming up clutch when it matters both with 2 sacks.
They will be taking on the Lions in the NFC Championship game and are going to be bringing that same defensive intensity with them to win and try to make it to the super bowl two years in a row.
Buccaneers are back to back NFC South champs clinching it after a 30-26 win against the Panthers. The down side of that is Leonard Fournette had gotten injured and broke his thumb which will last for 5 weeks unless trainers clear him to play earlier. This is a big hit to Tampas offense, now the Rookie Isaiah Spiller is going to get some snaps and prove his talent.
The Buccaneers have 2 games left against the Falcons and Eagles. It looks like they will be in 2nd or 3rd when the season ends depending on the games to come. Tampa will be ready for the playoffs and are looking to bounce back off of last season.
Bucs out here winning, beating their division rivals and it looks like they have the division locked up. They’ve lost 2 of 11 games to the Ravens and the Browns so they shouldn’t be discouraged at all. They should have won the game against the Ravens but it was choked down the stretch, to then trigger some painful memories of the Super Bowl they lost. Then the game against the Browns was just disturbing. Matt Corral was out for this game so Rosen threw for 5 picks. They surprisingly lost by a field goal and were in field goal range but Scotty Miller couldn’t get his feet out of bounds.
Bucs are going to try and fight for that 1 seed being 9-2 tied with the Packers and the Cowboys. They are just as good as they were last year if not even better. They will once again be a championship contender if they keep this up being led by the rookie Matt Corral.
Some of their notable stats so far this year:
Matt Corral - 2473 yards 32 touchdowns
Leonard Fournette - 1440 yards 10 touchdowns
Mike Evans - 940 yards 9 touchdowns
Chris Godwin - 893 yards 16 touchdowns
Devin White - 4 interceptions 4 forced fumbles
Jamel Dean - 8 interceptions
Andre Cisco - 10 interceptions
Deforest Buckner - 12 sacks
Shaq Barret - 10 sacks
I would like to say I’m sorry to the entirety of the SFL for my actions. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were caught red handed in a stat boosting scandal. Matt Corral will be out for 3 games, Mike Evans will be out 2 games, and Godwin out 1.
As an owner my actions were unjust, unacceptable, and out right disrespectful. We were getting absolutely murdered and didn’t want to lose completely forgetting about the thresholds. From the entire Buccaneers organization we are sorry.
Thanos once said, “Today, I lost more than you can know, But now is no time to mourn. Now is no time at all,” and that’s the same energy that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are bringing onto the field, after losing in the Super Bowl. They destroyed the Saints, a playoff team that made it to the divisional round last year 47-3.
The Bucs were led by the young fenom Matt Corral doing it with the arm and the legs. Going for 333 yards and 4 touchdowns in the air., and 44 yards on the ground and a touchdown. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin were responsible for both 2 touchdowns, combining for over 250 yards receiving.
The defense was playing out of their minds, 2 plays in a row they made the offense fumble, and got 2 picks. Their newest addition in a trade Deforest Buckner had a nice game of 2 sacks and 4 tackles. Devin White stepped up and took the MLB 1 role from Lavonte David and showed he is valid with 2 forced fumbles and a pick.
Can the Buccaneers keep it going, and can Matt Corral do it as well after a great debut?
A heartbreaking loss in the Super Bowl, Brady does Brady things and drives down the field to get the go ahead touchdown to be up 1 then can’t get the 2 point conversion. It’s all up to the defense with 18 seconds left. It seems to be covered well til Lamar Jackson rolls out left and launches it deep. Lavonte David is steps away from getting there but not fast enough and now there in field goal range for one of the greatest kickers of all time. The Ravens end up running it once and kicking a field goal to win.
Was the call on defense the best no, but if that's any other QB it’s a throw away. The play was covered until Lamar did the unthinkable to throw it across his body into the middle of the field. So how much of it was the defense and how much of it was Lamar Jackson?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one more game closer to the Super Bowl after a nail biting victory over the 49ers. With their eye on the prize they will be taking on the Panthers or the Lions in the divisional. They do not want to end up like they did last year losing to the Eagles.
Lavonte David has been a force this entire season and especially in the game against the 49ers having 5 tackles, a pick and a forced fumble. The Bucs are looking to keep the defense rolling and keep the moment going into the next game.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lose 2 straight after winning 10 straight. They lost against the Cowboys a good ball club but not what you would expect out of the team that had only lost one game the whole season. It was a truly pitiful performance from the defense allowing 51 points. The offense was clicking getting 41 points but at the end of the day the defense was too horrendous for the offense to overcome. The game against the Seahawks was all around terrible losing their second consecutive. The offense was not cutting it only putting up 13 points. The defense was not terrible until the second half came along giving up 20 points in the second half, and the offense could not keep up. The Bucs need to focus on winning these last two games to secure the first-place spot in the NFC South.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are now 11-1 with a win over the Falcons winning 10 in a row. Chris Godwin with a very stellar game of 13 grabs with 189 yards and 1 touchdown. Shaq Barrett also had a cool 3 sacks on the other side of the ball. They have been playing good ball all year and don’t plan on changing anything.
The Bucs defense has been lights out all season, they are second in the NFL with the lockdown trio of Carlton Davis, Sean Murphy-Bunting, and Jamal Dean really limiting teams from passing the ball being the 4th best passing defense in the league. Then complementing them we have the linebacking core of Devin White, Shaq Barrett, and Lavonte David. These linebackers are hard hitting and make it difficult to get something in the middle of the field. The Bucs plan on bringing this same energy to Dallas and keep the winning streak alive.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have hit their stride winning 3 games in a row making their record 4-1 and having a commanding lead over their division with the second-place team being the Saints at 2-3. The Bucs are yet to lose a divisional game and seems like they will be a powerhouse this season being ranked 5th in the power rankings.
Their lead back Leonard Fournette has been a big part of this success in Tampa with 958 total yards and 7 touchdowns, really making up for the inconsistency from the QB position. Tom Brady and Josh Rosen have been battling for QB1, but Tampa has gone for the experience rather the then developing Rosen into their franchise QB. If the Bucs get more production out of Brady, they will be an even scarier than they already are.
