The Bears started off hot with a 3-1 record. A blowout loss to the Bucs started a 5 game losing streak that saw a flurry of trades. The Bears sent star players Michael Thomas and Ezekiel Elliott to other teams. Their once thought of Kyler Murray was traded as well.
After the dust settled, the Bears went on a 5 game winning streak bringing their record to 8-6 with an outside chance of winning the division. A week 16 loss to the Jags would prove to the nail in the coffin when it came to division hopes but there was still hope for a wild card spot. The Vikings stood in the way in Week 17 but with the victory, the Bears squeaked into the playoffs. The Bears played the Falcons and the Falcons proved to be too much as they ended the Bears season.
The Bears have one of the oldest teams in the league. They added some young talent through trades during the season but it seems the Bears are going to be adding a lot of young talent to the roster through the draft as they have 10 picks in the first three rounds. They’ll be getting younger and looks to be in a rebuild mode going into next season.
