Saints Can't get it done

Saints lose a tough one at home against the stout Redskins. The 9-1 NFC powerhouse gave the Saints real high level UFL game play. I'm salty as hell but that was textbook UFL and a great game. Favre didn't throw even one touchdown, Marcus Williams and Ace Patterson let so many third downs convert for first downs as well. I've never seen such an amazing play in my life than the one that was made by Thomas Rawls. It was the beastmode runs of all beatmode runs. Everything was clicking for the Redskins it seemed like.

Ryan Anderson, formerly a Redskin, was thought to shift the momentum getting a pick 6 to take the lead late in the fourth but it was the Saints defense that struggled to stop the Redskins mighty offense. After the drive by superstar QB Reid Quinn, the Redskins got it down to the one yard line, kicked a FG to send it into overtime. In overtime, the Redskins got the ball first and feed their tailbacks. But most importantly,  Reid Quinn showed true poise under pressure converting on every single third down.

The Redskins kicked a FG with 0:02 left on the clock to win. The Saints offense didn't touch the ball for almost 13 minutes of Game Clock. We fell just short of excellence. We are not quite good enough yet to conquer the NFC. With several key pieces looking to be let go in the offseason, this might have been our only window to win this Madden, and it was barley open at best. This loss almost guarantees that the Saints don't make the playoffs because the NFC is to tight of a race.

Good luck to everyone in the playoffs. I'll be watching, and trolling.
