Cowboys look to be done for at the midway point. Cowboys put up a fight in Washington but turnovers were the story of the game. Dallas took an early 7 point lead after a long drive. However the redskins were able to answer with their own long drive to tie the game at 7 to start the second. the redskins d mad a good stop on the cowboy offense and took the ball down and expanded the lead to 14-7. Late in the second cowboys trying to cross mid field and Zeke has a rare fumble that set the redksins up for a score giving 21 unanswered points in the 2nd to end the hald 21-7 Redskins. In the second half the Cowboys held the explosive running game in check and moved the ball down and scored to pull within 7. Cowboys D then got what looked to be the momentum changer win an INT. However dallas could not convert and had to settle for a field goal to pull within 4. On the next drive mid forth the Cowboys D stepped up and got he offense the ball back. However Dak made a bad read on 3rd down and long and cravens stepped in to make the INT. Rawls would put the icing on the cake with a punishing 28 yard run. Dallas made a week attempt to score but gave the ball back to the Redskins and the finished up with a field goal before a few more weak attempts at long bombs from the Cowboys. Overall Cowboys coach was happy that they believe they now have an answer for the counters that have been killing them against the Redskins but need to do a better job of stopping the run on 1st down if they want to get back to winning next season. Dallas falls to 4-4 in what looks to make their hopes for a wildcard spot all but gone. Cowboys take on the Browns next week.
