Buccaneers move to 9-0 at a costly price. We jumped out to a 14-0 lead early, thanks to a blocked FG returned for a TD by Justin Evans and a TD run by Derrick Henry. The Lions would continue to fight back constantly sacking Jameis and giving their offense more opportunities to get back in the game. By halftime we were up 21-17 without any help from our passing game.
Second half we jumped out to a 2 score lead until Cordarelle Patterson took a toss 74 yards for a score which kept the pressure on us. Midway through the 3rd quarter is when the injury bug began to bite us as our LT left the game with a dislocated elbow, a questionable low hit left Jameis Winston with a knee cartilage tear which will keep him sidelined for atleast a month.
When the Lions scored in the 4th to make it a 38-30 point game backup Ryan Tannehill made enough plays to try and get the Buccs back to a 2 score lead. After Jake Elliot missed a fg due to the rainy conditions the ball was in the Lions hands with 0 timeouts. A 3rd and long gave the Lions a limited amount of choices which led to Lavonte David getting the game sealing pick.
