In the 2023 Draft the Miami Dolphins had 2 first round picks due to the trade that they made with the 49ers in 2020 which was used to aquire now full time starter Trey Lance. With the 17th pick in this years draft Miami selected left end from Iowa Thomas Andrews. This pick excited the organization as they didn't think Andrews would fall to 17, but now the defensive staff in Miami is looking to pair 3rd year edge rusher Jaelen Phillips with Andrews on opposite sides of the edge. Andrews is a crazy athlete at 6'5 257 pounds running a 4.6 he can play a 9, 5 or even 3 tech if Miami wanted. Andrews led Iowa in defensive sacks in his last season and finished 4th all time in school history tied with current Bills edge rusher AJ Epenesa, the two were actually roommates when Epenesa was in college. Thomas Andrews will be sporting #99 and is ready to make his impact on the teams defensive front. Miami also picked up a RT in Steven Parker who will end up starting for the team this season, I cant say any other picks in Miami's draft will be impact players.
