It's not quite the half way mark for the bengals just yet, but week 8 is our bye week. so we're gonna recap the first 7 games.
We've been here before, last time Anthony Munoz was coaching another team and it was the humble years, but we're 7-0. But We aren't going to live in the past, wouldn't want to start the nightmares again.
Our first 7 games were against Vikings, chiefs, packers, raiders, browns and the Steelers twice. Every game has been a fight to our score each of them. Our weakest part of the team at the moment is on defense, the big play is happening to much. Some games the defense steps up and stops the run, other games it's a struggle. We made a move last week adding Jamal Adams to hopefully bolster this defense. As the trade deadline approaches with one trade left we'll be working the phones to see if some other deals come up before the deadline passes.
the offense has been very balanced thus far. Mixon is carrying the team but when we need to pass burrow has been making plays. We did a great job minamizing turnovers, with the exception of these past two games. Burrow has thrown 7 interceptions in the last two weeks brining his total from 3 to 10. Turnovers will kill us and this will hopefully be addressed going forward.
The remaining schedule isn't a joke either. Coming off the bye, were up vs LB and his chargers. This will probably be our toughest game yet, as LB's defense always shows up. Then we've got Byrd and his ravens, Ed and the browns, Texans, lions, Broncos, bears, ravens and finally the dolphins.
I was told this would be a long season for the bengals, and Bryce you weren't wrong. This is the toughest schedule I've played in my time in the SFL. Hopefully the second half of the season fares well for the cinnci boys and doesn't repeat history.
