Eagles 2021 offseason
Philly entered the 2021 offseason 27 million over the cap, thus had to make several tough roster changes.
Key Departures:
LE- Brandon Graham (2017 Super Bowl hero)
RE- Derek Barnett (team sack leader)
DT-Malik Jackson (teams’ most overpaid)
CB- Nickell Robey- Coleman (should’ve been PI)
LB-Duke Riley ( had a good playoff run)
LB- Stephone Anthony (not sure if he saw the field)
WR- Alshon Jefferey (team benchwarmer)
WR- Desean Jackson (team leading WR)
HB- Boston Scott (team midget)
LT- Jason Peters (team grandfather)
SS- Jalen Mills (team leader in missed tackles)
Key Additions:
SS- Paris Ford (2nd round pick)
CB- Richard Lecounte (1st round pick)
CB- Jason Verrett (only FA signing)
HB- Trey Sermon (5th round pick)
HB- Jason Huntley (5th round pick and new team midget)
Key Resigning's:
LB- Blake Cashman (Thanks Gomes)
WR- Marquise Goodwin (Speeeeed)
Outlook:
Heading into the 2021 season the Eagles have somewhat of a watered down version of their 2020 squad that was 14-2. Which saw them bring home the NFC East crown but ultimately falling to the Packers in the NFC championship game. If the eagles have any desire to replicate the success of last season they will have to rely on 3rd year running back Miles Sanders having another exceptional season. On the defensive side of the ball veterans Fletcher Cox and Darius Slay will have to lead the young defensive core that has been built during the last 2 drafts.
GOODLUCK TO ALL AND LETS HAVE ANOTHER FUN SEASON OF SFL FOOTBALL.
