The injury bug has been biting staring quarterbacks across the SFL fairly hard to being the season thus far, the Panthers were unable to avoid this themselves.
Starting signal caller, Dwayne Haskins, suffered a broken rib during their week 6 victory over the Los Angeles Rams and was slated to miss some time. Thankfully for the Panther hopeful the former Ohio State Buckeye is slated to return following the teams' week 8 bye, where they'll play host to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
"Dwayne was able to throw somewhat this week, but things still looked bleek heading into game day," said Coach Jordan Charles. "He's getting used to his new flak jacket, but should be good to go when Pittsburgh comes to town."
Carolina was able to shave off a week of recovery with the bye week, while most players have earned themselves some more rest with the team sitting tied atop the NFC with a 6-1 record, Haskins clearly needs it most. While he'll get the rest he much so needs, it isn't clear if the team will lessen his offensive role once he hits the field again.
