The Carolina Panthers have shot out of the gate with an unexpected 3-0 record, defeating the Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens & New Orleans Saints along the way.
Heading into week 4 the Panthers will host the Los Angeles Rams, a team they fell to in week 1 of the 2019 season, as they look to improve upon their hot start.
"I like what I am seeing on both sides of the ball," said Head Coach, Jordan Charles. "We've got a pretty balanced attack going on and we know just how this Rams team operates."
Castro and the Rams have also found early success this season, coming into this one with a 3-0 record as well. They've found their place on the back of former Western Michigan running back, LeVante Bellamy. The second year player is averaging just over 21 carries a game, turning those into 183.3 yards per game and finding the endzone five times in two weeks.
"We're going to force them to find other ways to be effective," Said Charles when asked about the running back's success. "They've played against some bottom tier run defenses and I expect Luke to play a big role in slowing this attack down."
Kuechly has forced a league high four fumbles on the year thus far, which has allowed the Panthers' offensive attack to get into more of a groove while using less of the field. The Florida State product is not the only former Seminole who is making noise however.
It's clear that the way to attack this Rams offense is to force the ball into the hands of quarterback Jared Goff, if this is successful the Panthers' can rely on OLB Brian Burns to play a major role in distrupting this one. The now 24-year old has brought the quarterback down a league leading 12 times in 3 weeks, while forcing a lone fumble in week 1.
Both of these teams are looking to establish dominance early, unfortunately one will find their record blemished by weeks end.
