DeeDee Westbrook ties the game late in the 4th.
The Jags depth chart was thrown out of wack for this game. The team thought things were set only to get on the field in Seattle and have to scramble to get the personnel set the way it had been planned and so the team didn't run a lot of things because of it. There were several standouts and several problems in this game. Let's deal with the problem. Leonard Fournette. This guy just cannot stay healthy on 50 injury slider setting. It's not going to happen. He's a problem and not a good one for this team. He will not start vs the Colts. The team will decide on who to start after some practice time and planning for Indy, but he certainly will not start, if he plays at all.
Problem #2. The Jags did not help themselves this game with 83 yards in penalties.
On to the good. The team is a little bit more confident passing with Gardner Minshew than at this point last season but still have a leash on what they will do until he's better. While Fournette got hurt, he still had over 9 yards a carry prior to going out of the game.
Offensive Game Ball goes to TE Josh Oliver
Oliver came up with two big catches that kept the team moving. Early in the game Minshew connected with him down the seam to put the offense inside the Hawks 10.
Late in the 4th with the game on the line, Oliver made the biggest catch of his career to keep the offense alive to give them team the opportunity to tie the game.
Defensive MVP goes to SS Ronnie Harrison
Early in the game Harrison picks off this Russell Wilson pass intended for DK Metcalf.
Later, the hard hitting Strong Safety blitzed into the backfield and sacked Wilson for one of the teams 6 QB tackles. He would have had another had he not bounced off Wilson like he ran into an unforgiving wall.
