In the first round of the playoffs, Arizona met Dallas for the third time in the past 2 seasons. Last year the Cardinals beat Dallas in the Divisional on a last second go ahead touchdown, earlier this season the Cowboys managed to beat Zona early in week 1 but a lot changed since then. This playoff birth marks coach Byrd's sixth in a row. On the first play of the game David Johnson broke off a 78 yard touchdown to give Zona an early lead. On the following drive star Quarterback Kyler Murray got injured and would be ruled out for the rest of the game. With only a one touchdown lead things seemed like they could've been going downhill fast. Luckily Arizona holds home to the best backup QB in the game Brett Hundley. Hundley didn't skip a beat coming out on his first drive and taking the ball to the goal line and running in a read option for a score. Hundley went on to throw for 150 yards and a touchdown in the 34-19 win. Zona's defense came to play bottling RB Ezekiel Elliott for the majority of the contest as he only had 49 yards after his first carry of the game. DJ went on to run for 183 yards and 2 touchdowns to secure the dub. Here's what Coach had to say after the game. "You know, it was a familiar oppenent for me being in the east last cycle and facing them twice already this cycle. We knew what we had to do and we did that. Kyler will be back next week and we just gotta get ready for the next oppenent."
