The Arizona Cardinlas are coming off a Super Bowl win, the first ever in franchise history in fact. New head coach Justyn Byrd gained the love of the desert after bringing the team to a Super Bowl victory in his first season. It didn't come without a great rookie season by the #1 overall pick Kyler Murray. The young QB went on to throw for 2,681 yards and 27 TDs, but what comes as a more impressive effort is that Murray broke the single season record for rushing yards by a QB all time. With 1,186 rushing yards and 8 Tds he broke the record previoulsy held by Mike Vick. Kyler Murray also went on to win Offesnive Rookie of the Year in the process. Murray found a connection with a fellow rookie through the year, Andy Isabella had caught 38 passes for 1,149 yards and 11 touchdowns through the air. Running back David Johnson had himself a season with 1,979 all purpose yards and 15 TDs, the Cardinals were the #1 rushing team in the NFL despite the questions at o line early in the season. With the 2019 season in the past, Arizona made some moves this offseason. Aquiring a 1st round pick by sending Patrick Peterson to Oakland the Cardinals now have 2 first rounders this draft. Rookie Byron Murphy Jr. had 7 INTs in his debut season and coach Byrd thinks he's ready to take on the role of #1 corner in the upcoming season. This is what Byrd had to say about the upcoming 2020 season. "I'm really proud of what we were able to accomplish in my first year here, I have big expectations for these guys going into season 2. We got a really talented young core and I can't wait for them to really mold as a team. We're building something special here in the desert. Our goal is to run it back in year 2 and I'm gonna leave it at that."
